...and be safe, and just observe what was going on, where would you go? History is very interesting to me, and is constantly changing and evolving, so I thought I’d ask.
i know it’s a pretty generic answer, but I’d go back to WWII, most likely. Such a horrible and sad time. I used to run a blog about it, and even with the extensive material there is about the war, it barely scratches the surface of all that went on. Or prehistory. I would love to see the long forgotten animals that were lost to the sands of time.
You?

Any time, really, just to check out my ancestors. I love history too.

I'd want to go to one of Franz Liszt's concerts from when he toured Europe in the late 1830s and early 1840s!! I'd also want to see the première of the opera Der Freischütz, and see Cicero give a speech (maybe one of the Catilinarians).

My great granddad fled from Lithuania during the 2nd world war when he was only 10 with his little sister in tow. They eventually managed to get to the UK all on their own. I'd love to be able to know more about their journey in more detail so I'd go where ever they were!

Honestly. I'm not that religious, but I'd go way back to when Jesus was a young man with his disciples and observe them. I'm mostly curious as to what was Jesus like? Did the miracles happen? Would I see them for miracles or would they seem like a hoax to me?

I’d go see as many ancestors as I can, see what they were like and stuff. I have a missing great grandfather that’s a mystery, so knowing who he is would be awesome.

Like others, I'd like to see my ancestors (Irish, German/Dutch, Italian, and Algonquin). I'd also like to see the American Revolution, of how the birth of the USA came to be, and to see the Founding Fathers.

For the purposes of this experiment, am I allowed to talk to or interact with people, or am I a silent observer? If I'm allowed to talk to people, there's probably a lot more I'd like to do.

The first answer that came to mind wasn't even historically relevant. I just want to see my grandpa again.

So many to choose from! The Reign of Charles II, maybe? Or the Wars of the Roses. Or perhaps during the Cold War, specifically around the time of the Space Race.

mostly where i could find out things we still don't know.
ie the Mayans, Roanoke Colony, Amelia Earheart, Jack the Ripper, the locations of Cleopatra's tomb, the Ark of the Covenant, and the Garden of Eden
after that, probably Renaissance.

Yes!! When I was in elementary I was so intrigued by the Roanoke Colony. I’d also like to visit JFK’s assasination.

Choice one; Henry the VIII and Elizabeth I's reign, and the time in between. Observe whether or not Anne Bolyen was innocent, whether or not E 1 was virgin, see how far the whole 'Tom Seymour' thing went with her. Oh and then come back and tell everyone where Anne was buried cause we're all confused about that.
Choice two; reign of akhenaten and try and observe how the change in religion worked and whether or not Tutenkahmen was murdered or w/e. Or might just go to Hapshetsut and stay till Akhenaten...who knows.
Choice three; The sentimental choice; go back to my great grandfather during the war and just watch what he went through, then be there beside my grandfather as he suffered through his dad's post-war alcoholism. Kind of feel like neither of them should've had to have done that alone.
