Windstep purred at the reunion of mentor and apprentice before flicking Beepaw flank gently with her tail to get his attention. "Get something to eat," she told him. "We'll be starting battle training today, so you'll need your strength." She intended to give Beepaw some time to talk with his sister as well as eat, especially since she herself wanted to visit Quailfang and Nightclaw.
That gave her an idea. "If you wanted to visit Quailfang, I'm sure he'd be happy to see you."

Silverstrike chuckled at his Apprentice's reaction, the sound strange and surprising to his own ears after so long, but he let none of it show on his face. Instead he leaned forward, touching his nose gently to her's in reciprocation. "Good morning, sleepy head," He rumbled, huffing fondly as he raised a paw to scrub gently at the fur on her head, "Sleep well? I hope you did, because I'm finally fit to go out with you again." His tail twitched, anxiety and anticipation warring inside him. It took him a moment to shove both away, calming his heart once more. "You'll have to go easy on me," He teased, nudging his shoulder against hers, "But old Reedfoot finally gave me the all clear to leave Camp. Figured we'd either go for a hunt or try out some battle moves, depending on what you're feeling today."

Thistleshade eyed her Leader, the serious grey-green narrowing briefly to mere slits of colour, before she huffed and shook her head, letting it go. "I was considering Honeyblossom, Tallwhisker and perhaps Ravenwing for the Border Patrol," She replied, eyes scanning Camp mechanically. They paused at Quailfang and Nightclaw as the pair retreated once more to the Medicine Den, continuing on barely a heartbeat later.
"Perhaps Owlswoop and Breezebounce would like to go hunting together," She mused. The pair seemed much closer these days, ever since she had been forced to punish Owlswoop for leaving Camp while he was supposed to be guarding it. Apprentice duties for a half-moon had been seen as slightly harsh by some, but Thistleshade couldn't get the thought of the Sharptooth tearing through Camp out of her mind. Owlswoop staying at his post may not have changed things in that scenario, but perhaps one cat would have made all the difference if it had come to pass. "Badgertuft's been complaining about boredom as well, so perhaps he could go with Foxbite and take Sweetpaw and Snowpaw along," She rolled her shoulders in a shrug, falling silent and tilting her head towards Sunstar in case he had any objections.

Beepaw straightened at his mentor's words, all previous thoughts redirected. Battle training? The tom focused on keeping his ears from twitching nervously. Battle practice was his least favorite part of training. Even though claws were sheathed, it was hard to summon up the determination to use attacks on his mentor, a cat he respected and liked. The idea of having to use these moves for real, on real enemies, made him fidget. However, he knew it would only be an asset to him in the long run, and that knowing how to fight was smart. It might save my life one day, he thought, but I hope it doesn't have to.
Refocusing on Windstep, he brightened at her words. Seeing Quailfang was a welcome idea, not to mention he suspected his mentor was eager to see her brother. "Of course," he replied, dipping his head obediently before looking back up. "And yes please- I would definitely like that." He gave Windstep a happy wave of his tail, beginning to pad over to the fresh kill pile only to turn around to ask, "Would you like me to fetch you something as well?"

Hornetpaw purred in amusement as her mentor ruffled the fur on her head, squinting an eye up at him playfully. "Naturally you catch me on the one day I oversleep!" Straightening up to fully face the silver tom, she nudged him gently in return, happy that they had managed to maintain their easy-going dynamic even after Silverstrike's time in the medicine den. "And I was thinking maybe hunting, if you think that's okay?" Laughing a little, she added, "and I'll gladly take it easy today, I wouldn't want to face Reedfoot's wrath if we did otherwise!"

Windstep blinked. "Oh - yes, that would be wonderful. Thank you, Beepaw." Her heart warmed at the offer - Beepaw was a sweet young cat, always ready to offer a helping paw. His sister was much the same - she hoped they chose to stay with StormClan when their training was over. They were fine cats, and would be great warriors.
She turned away and walked towards the medicine den, nudging her way inside to see Quailfang chewing on a piece of fresh-kill, Nightclaw nearby, and Reedfoot grumpily sorting through the herb stores. She made her way over to her family with a purr, greeting her son with a lick of his ear and her brother with a brush of her tail against his flank. "How are you two doing?"

Silverstrike huffed, fond amusement practically oozing from him as he agreed. He definitely didn't want Reedfoot after him if he managed to hurt himself again. "Alright then," He meowed, twitching his tail and padding towards the entrance, "Why don't you go say goodbye to your brother and I'll go see my grumpy sister to see if she needs us on a specific hunting patrol." He winced a little, glancing back at his weak leg. "Probably best we don't go out alone," He sighed, drooping a bit, "I'm not sure I'd put up enough of a fight if something goes wrong, so we'll have to find another Warrior to go with us."

Beepaw brightened, pleased again at the good relationship he'd formed with his mentor. Nosing through the fresh-kill pile, he chose a vole for Windstep and a small bird for himself, which took some creative maneuvering to arrange in his jaws. Once he was sure he wouldn't drop either, he padded the way his mentor had gone, throwing one last glance over his shoulder towards his sister and Silverstrike.
Upon reaching the medicine den entrance, he was glad to see that Quailfang already had prey to sate his hunger, as he would've felt guilty for forgetting to bring him some. Making a muffled noise in greeting, he dropped the vole by Windstep's side, ears pricked to hear Quailfang's answer. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted Nightclaw and Reedfoot. He was unsure which of the two made him more antsy.

(Sorry for the delayed reply guys!! Hey Rainy!)
Hornetpaw rested her tail on Silverstrike for a moment, voice warm as she replied, "I think you could be toothless and clawless and your spirit would still put up a fight!" Dipping her head to her mentor's instructions, she added "But that sounds good, I'll be quick! Thanks, you know...for letting me say goodbye to him." Hornetpaw felt a pang of gratitude towards the gray-and-white warrior, touched that he knew that she'd want to see Beepaw before she left. She hoped Silverstrike would take as much comfort from seeing his own sibling. As she started to head to the medicine den where she'd seen Beepaw go, she called over her shoulder, "If I don't come back, it means Reedfoot's eaten me!"

Quailfang purred as his sister entered the den. "Still bumping into things like a concussed kit - oh, don't look at me like that," he grumbled, as Windstep's face dropped into a familiar expression of concern. "Remember that time you fell off the Stormfalls, when we were apprentices? You were stumbling around like a one-legged rabbit the entire way back to camp."
Windstep huffed. "It was the Stormpath, not the Stormfalls, and I was only halfway up," she grumbled. "Besides, I was out of camp again in a quarter-moon."
"It was longer than that," Quailfang disagreed. "I remember because your mentor kept complaining to me that you were missing your training."

Beepaw listened to the two with contented amusement, wondering at how even though all siblings had different dynamics, the easy banter between Windstep and Quailfang still felt comfortingly familiar. He vaguely wondered just how long ago it was that the two older warriors had been apprentices, but figured it might be a little rude to ask.
Instead, he took a bite of his bird, carefully navigating around the feathers while his ears twitched towards the brother and sister. As usual, he was happy to listen instead of speak.

Nightclaw purred at his mother's greeting, hanging back as she conversed with Quailfang. He could see the loosely hidden concern in her eyes and offered her a small smile. "I'm fine." His words were far from true, however. Since returning from the sharptooth patrol, Nightclaw was plagued by night terrors. All of them had to do with his shattered leg and he always woke up feeling more sore than before. The dark tom knew deep down that his walk would never be the same and he was constantly worried about his future, but seeing Windstep so sad and worried, he knew he couldn't share his fears with her. She deserves peace, he reasoned, and instead kept his problems bottled up in the back of his mind.
As his mother and uncle spoke, Nightclaw's gaze drifted towards Beepaw. In the past moon, the younger tom had gotten... close to his sister. Tallwhisker would visit him and fill him in on what was going on in the clan after performing her duties, then she would immediately go find Beepaw to share prey. As her brother, he wasn't fond of how close they sat together and how insistent the she-cat was on sharing tongues with the apprentice. The thought of it made Nightclaw scowl. As he came out of his thoughts, he realized that his eyes had narrowed and he was glaring daggers at Beepaw. With a huff and a frown, Nightclaw turned his icy gaze to the prey in front of him.

A niggling feeling at the furs on his neck made Beepaw glance to the side, away from the older warriors' conversation, only to see Nightclaw's gaze shifting away to his prey. A prickle of apprehension made his tail twitch uncertainly, sure that the black tom must've been staring at him. I know he doesn't like me because I'm an outsider, he thought, but it still feels more...personal.
He usually tried his best to avoid the dark warrior, but it was hard when he was Tallwhisker's brother. He wasn't sure if Tallwhisker had picked up on it, but Beepaw was always nervous around Nightclaw; the tom's gaze had a way of boring into him that made the apprentice feel vulnerable. But how much of it is just my imagination?
Realizing he ought not look the warrior's way for too long, he turned back to Windstep and Quailfang. Now that he'd been thinking about her, he wondered where Tallwhisker had gone; she had been with Windstep outside his den, but he hadn't seen her since.

Silverstrike huffed fondly, ducking his head bashfully at Hornetpaw's faith in him. "Keep that cheek to yourself then," He replied, growling playfully, "But know that if Reedfoot eats you, I'm not risking going against her to save you. Starclan knows that Medicine Cat's fiercer than any Warrior and I'm not risking her wrath." Shaking his head with a smile, he turned and headed over to where his sister sat, speaking with Sunstar. He hesitated for a moment, not wanting to interrupt the pair if what they were discussing was important, but his sister lifted her head and motioned for him to approach. "Morning you two," He huffed, tail twitching a greeting, "Sorry for barging in." (( owlspots))

As if he'd called her with his thoughts, Tallwhisker's appearance had Beepaw straightening up excitedly, forgetting for the moment about Nightclaw's presence. Her purr drew a mirroring one out of him, and he couldn't even pay attention to what she was asking Windstep, too focused on the pressure of her fur on his. It took a moment, but her words of greeting caught up to him.
"I was hoping you'd find me," he replied, self-consciously twitching an ear when he realized everyone in the den could hear him. At least Hornet isn't here to tease me! He subtly leaned back into Tallwhisker, glancing between Windstep and her daughter, wondering what he'd missed.

Hornetpaw let out a loud laugh at Silverstrike's parting words, making her way towards the medicine den. On her way, she cast a gaze around camp, eyes lingering on the nursery. I wonder how Scorchkit is doing, she thought absently. She hadn't really had a proper conversation with the kit since before the battle. Not that I'd risk my pelt to go in there to ask, she conceded. The memory of Redwing's harsh words still stung like faded scratches.
(SmugGull - is it safe to assume Redwing and Hornet haven't interacted a lot the past moon?)

Scorchkit poked his nose out of the nursery, cutting his eyes back and forth. His mother and sisters were still asleep - he was the first one of his family awake, and he intended to make the most of it. Redwing had become even more protective since the disastrous Sharptooth patrol - not stiflingly so, but he could always feel her eyes on him when he was outside the nursery, whereas before he could usually play on his own for a little while without Redwing checking in on him constantly. He was two moons old now! He was trustworthy.Scorchkit's gaze landed on Hornetpaw and he perked up, slinking out of the nursery and shaking his pelt as he bounded towards her. "Hi, Hornetpaw!" he chirped, circling around her front legs. "Can you help me get something out of the fresh-kill pile? Redwing 'n Spottedkit 'n Stormkit aren't up yet." (I don't know how long Hornetpaw and Beepaw would be apprentices, but it would be adorable if Hornet ended up mentoring Scorchpaw)
(EDIT - yes it would! Scorchkit and Hornetpaw could have interacted a few times though, probably when Redwing wasn't paying attention)

Windstep purred in amusement at Beepaw's words, flicking Tallwhisker's ear with her tail. "If Thistleshade and Sunstar don't have anything for you to, then yes, you could join us for training." She glanced over at Beepaw sharply, noticing with a small shock how close the two had gotten, and made a mental note to figure out exactly how serious the two were about each other. Apprentice nothing - Tallwhisker was her daughter, and she didn't intent to stand by and watch her get her heart broken.
It wasn't likely, exactly, but for all that Beepaw appeared to be a sweet cat (all right, was a sweet cat) she still needed to make sure. And make sure that they didn't hurt themselves, or each other, in their confusion.

(That would be adorable!! Pals for life (: And okay gotcha, that sounds right! Slinking around Redwing)
Hornetpaw was happily surprised to see the kit in question pop out of the nursery, and greeted him with a friendly purr. "Hey Scorchkit! Sure thing." Tapping the kit playfully on the head with her tail, she padded over to the pile and peered down at it. Turning back to the kit, she asked, "What sort of prey do you feel like?"
Inwardly, she was wondering if Scorchkit meant to eat the prey himself or if he was aiming to bring some back to the nursery. Maybe I should suggest something smaller, like a mouse? What's best for a kit like him to eat? Shrugging, she gestured to a mouse on the pile questioningly, tipping her head to the small tom. Waiting for an answer, she added in, "how's it going in the nursery? Your siblings doing well?"

Beepaw waved his tail in goodbye, watching Tallwhisker leave before turning back to Windstep. Warmth lingering beneath his fur, he directed his attention to Quailfang, dipping his head in a friendly greeting. He'd seemed to be in good spirits earlier when bantering with his sister, and Beepaw could only hope that meant the healing was going well. Unsure what to say in the silence, he shuffled his paws and tilted his head at Windstep. "Um...do you know where we're going to hold practice?"
