Rora waited about thirty minutes after she heard her parents go to bed before she climbed out of her own mattress and tiptoed across to her dresser. Pulling out the bottom drawer, she lifted up a stack of neatly folded pastel blouses and grabbed out a pair of ripped, back jean shorts, and a black bralette. Slipping the two items on, she then retrieved her black leather jacket from the back of her large closet, and finished the look off with a pair of heeled combat boots that added about four inches to her short height of 5'3". Quietly moving to her makeup desk, Rora added some jet black eyeliner around her large eyes to make them pop, then pulled half her hair back from her face, leaving the rest to hang down over her shoulders and back. Studying herself in the mirror, in the darkness of her room, she smiled deviously at her reflection. She was ready.
Climbing out of her second-story window, she expertly scaled the exterior of her house and dropped into the grass down below, before disappearing into the darkness. She had plans to meet her friends a few blocks away. Apparently there was some exclusive party at a Special's place. And no matter what, she was planning on being there.

Echo Strike ~ * ~ * ~ Echo never said no to a party. To do so would be near sacrilegious. He hadn’t declined a party invite since he was old enough to accept them. He was not about to do so now. Even if the person throwing it was an old flame.
“Flame? Don’t you mean conquest? ‘Flame’ implies an emotional connection, not just physical.”
Echo grinned. “Ah, but ‘conquest’ implies I am a heartless bastard who cares not for the feelings of others.”
His best friend stared at him, completely deadpan. “You are.”
After a moment, Echo had no choice but to concede the point. “Okay I am. But we don’t need to tell them that.”
Shade shook his head and fought a smile. “Of course not. Then you would never snag another conquest again.” He widened his eyes. “Oh, sorry. I mean flame.”
Echo shoved his shoulder, snickering. “Shut up, brain head.”
“Brain head?”
But the party had come into view ahead, effectively capturing Echo’s full and undivided attention. He rubbed his hands together in eager anticipation. “Oh yes. Bring on the party girls.” He pulled ahead of his friend, his inner animal - party animal, of course, not one of the actual beasts stalking beneath his skin - taking hold.
This party was going to be epic.

(Mmm tempted to have Crystal go to this party lol)
Danny bowed as he finished his little bar trick. He liked doing special tricks to keep the crowd entertained. He served the people their drinks and takes a step back to survey the crowd. There was a large crowd out tonight and he was getting some generous tips. Working at the Devil's Brew was a pretty sweet gig. Normals usually frequently came in but occasionally Specials like to stop in.
Titus walked the streets and kept his eyes out for danger. He was finishing up his patrol before going to his next assignment. Seemed he and a few others were going to run security for some party. Hopefully, I can slip away and drink a little. He hadn't been able to relax in a long while. He smirked a bit wondering if he could end up getting lucky. "Focus man and do your job." He muttered to himself.

As soon as Rora and her friends arrived at the party, she made a beeline for the keg, having to push through the dark, crowded apartment. It was a sort of ritual of hers to start out the night with at least two drinks--she was, as one might have guessed, a severe lightweight--before doing anything else. As she downed her first to drinks, she smiled at her friends and raised her third cup as she started to sing along to the music that was so loud it felt like her heart was matching the beat of the song. It was going to be a good night.

Judah was walking through the back alley ways of the city, his hands shoved into his pockets as he kept his eyes on the lookout for any potential threats. In his backpack, he had a flashdrive that was crucial to Ramsey's plans for the next steps of the rebellion. Judah had been the middle man between the rebels and one of their spies who had found information regarding the disappearances of Specials within the community. So far, there had only been a few isolated instances, but, given the fact that they had all been on the West coast, within a few hundred miles of each other, Ramsey was beginning to wonder if these kidnappings weren't so random. Picking up the pace to a more brisk walk, Judah knew he was within a few blocks of his destination. Just a little further and he would be--
"Shit," he muttered, stumbling back after slamming into someone, just as he had rounded a corner. Realizing it was a capital guard, he was suddenly on alert. "Sorry man, I didn't mean to run into you. Guess I wasn't watching where I was going," he said casually, rubbing the back of his neck as he smiled at the red haired guard.

Echo Strike ~ * ~ * ~ Echo delved into the crush of bodies, Shade on his heels. His eyes were already alight with the excitement that flowed through the crowd, their feelings infectious. He slid through the people like a fish through water, his steps smooth and sure and well-practiced. His destination: the bar. Which, in this case, was the kitchen counter. But the point was the alcohol it held, so to him it was the bar.
A soft chuckle behind him informed him that Shade was eavesdropping on his thoughts again. Most would find that highly irritating, but it had never bothered Echo before. He had nothing to hide, least of all from his best friend. The things he thought could just as easily have been things he said out loud, given the right provocation. Besides, hearing thoughts was second nature to Shade; Echo had no wish to change that about his closest friend.
Echo arrived at the bar. It was a little less crowded than the rest of the house, but there was still a good group of people, most of them standing around the keg in the corner. Echo took it all in, taking note of everyone - mostly the women - and filing it away for later. First, a drink, then he would socialize.
He walked up to the hired help who was monitoring the bar. "Pardon me, sir. I'll have a bourbon, on the rocks."
The man arched his brows. "I'm not the bartender."
"No? Hm. Well, why don't you point me in the direction of the hard liquor, and I'll take over the role? At least until I get bored."
Confused, the man pointed to what Echo figured was the liquor cabinet. He saluted the man. "Thank you kindly."
Shade laughed softly as he followed Echo to the cabinet. "Couldn't you just have beer?"
"You know me, my friend," Echo said without turning or slowing. "Beer is much too commonplace, tastes like horse piss, and doesn't have nearly the same effect on me. But this," he finished, opening the cabinet. He grinned wickedly. "This will do quite nicely."
He grabbed two large, unopened, and very expensive bottles of bourbon and vodka, then spun around and held them up for everyone in the kitchen to see. "Let's get this party started!"

Titus narrowed his eyes at Judah. "I suggest you watch yourself!" He growled. He looks at this guy and doesn't see anything particularly striking about him. Figures a normal would slam into him. "You got somewhere to be?" He questioned as he looked at him up and down. No visible weapons so that was out.
Crystal glided her way through the people and looks around. In her hand, she was holding a glass of red wine. She decided to take a break from work and socialize a little. Although, she kept her eyes peeled for anyone who might be important. Anything could happen at these types of parties and she was a sucker for golden opportunities.

Hearing the battle cry—or should she say party cry of someone who had just found two completely full bottles of hard liquor, Rora cheered him on, and raised her glass to him, flashing a smile across the room, as she had migrated away from the kitchen counter and was now leaning against a wall, flirting with some green haired Special who claimed to be a doctor, which she personally found boring. But, for the time being, he would do. Although, as she considered the hottie who had just caught her attention with the booze, she was becoming less and less satisfied with the man who was inching closer by the minute.

Hearing the guard's grating tone, Judah have him a puzzled look, and patted him on the shoulder in a brotherly fashion. “Hey man, like I said, I’m super sorry.” He said, putting an easy going smile on as he charmed this guard. “And yes, actually, I do. I’m late for dinner with the Mrs. and, as I’m sure you understand, a woman never appreciates when her man is late to dinner,” he said with a wink. In actuality, Judah was not married. Or in any type of relationship. But as far as this guard was concerned, Judah Taylor was living happily in married bliss.

Echo Strike ~ * ~ * ~ Echo basked in the cheers and attention he received with his declaration, and for the next fifteen minutes he happily acted as bartender: raiding the liquor cabinet and serving eager drunks whatever they asked for. He even successfully mixed a couple drinks. And he earned a pretty nice tip, too, plus about a dozen slips of paper from a dozen different women, all with a name and number on it. There was even one Echo was pretty sure was from a dude.
Shade laughed when Echo showed it to him. "You gonna call him? I think that would be a first for you. It's been a while since you've had one of those in the bedroom."
Echo actually seemed to consider it before shaking his head. "Nah. I'm afraid to say I'm exclusively a ladies man. Sorry fellas, but that's how it is."
Shade snickered. He downed the rest of his glass, then put it down on the closest tabletop. "I'm going to dance. You staying or coming?"
Echo smirked. "What, and take away your spotlight? No way. Go show off. How else are you going to get laid tonight?"
Shade shoved his shoulder as he went by. "At least I can snag a girl through dancing; you'd be more likely to scare them off."
Echo grinned around his glass. "But of course. You can't bestow all skills on one man. I already have too many; dance skills are unnecessary."
Shade shook his head, smiling. "Whatever, man. Let me know when you pick who you're going home with."
Echo saluted him. "Aye aye, Captain!" He watched Shade disappear into the crowd, then turned to the next "costumer." He was starting to get bored, however, so he doubted he'd be here much longer. He had his drink; now it was time to start mingling.

When the doctor tried to make a move on her, Rora pretended like one of her friends was calling her. Excusing herself, she slipped away, intent on refilling her drink with something a little stronger. Making her way back to the bar, she leaned up against the counter and smirked at the guy who had been filling up people's cups for the last half hour or so. But, he appeared to be getting bored with his job. Holding up her empty glass, she tipped her head to the side. "Mind pouring one more?" She asked, not taking her eyes off of him. Judging by his messy, multi-colored hair, this faux-bartender was clearly a Special. And she had a feeling he would have a much more exciting job than some medic.

Rora stood steady under his perusal, enjoying the attention and letting him take his time admiring. She, however, had already admired him from afar, so she wouldn't give him the pleasure of feeling her own gaze upon his figure. After all, she liked to play hard to get. "Fireball. If you have it," She said with a sly smile. She enjoyed the fiery taste of the cinnamon whiskey.

"Full glass. I don't do shots." She said simply, pushing her hair back off of her shoulders before she rested her elbows on the counter while she waited. Figuring she could make small talk, she asked him the most basic question anyone could in their society. "So. What's your power? Super strength? Endurance? Bartending?" She asked, adding the last one with a teasing smirk.

"Just get going." Titus said taking a step back from Judah. He paused for a moment before speaking again. "Be safe you never know what could happen around these parts." He knew there had been people going missing and criminals prowling around.
Crystal sips her wine and chats with some people before placing her drink down. She stretches her limbs before walking over to the dance floor. She might as well enjoy herself right? Crystal reaches the dance floor and starts moving to the loud music.
