Sebastian let out a small chuckle, stopping when he heard the ripping noise. His eyes zeroed in on the boy, more accurately on the wing protruding from his back. The Shadowhunter was quiet for a moment, watching as Aurora hurried to cover him up as he processed what had just happened. She knows. His Marks were clearly visible, though if she had the Sight - and he suspected she did - it wouldn't have mattered if he wore a glamour rune or not. A young warlock then, and I'm guessing the girl is one too if they're twins like she says. His eyes flicked between the children and then to the girl, replaying thier conversation thus far through his head. "Yeah, I guess you really do have your hands full." He tried to give her a small smile, rather awkwardly at that, as he rubbed the back of his neck embarrassed he hadn't seen their true identity sooner. Some Shadowhunter you are.

Donovan nodded his head in agreement. "Aye, Sebastion really needs to update everything." He said as he takes the plate. "You know I heard in Bangkok that they have state of the art simulations and such."

Aurora smiled awkwardly, nodding. She drew Isla and Liam in close, walking back over, and looking around. Luckily, nobody else was in the park - thank goodness for working hours. "I'm Aurora," She introduced herself. "I'm... I have the Sight. And these are my siblings, Isla and Liam. They're warlocks. My parents sent us all away because we're different." She paused for a moment, before continuing. "Please don't tell anybody about this. I saw your runes - you're a Shadowhunter. I don't know if you're supposed to tell anybody about us, but if there's no law about it, please don't tell. I have a friend - she told me about the war. Things are still too fragile for us to come barging in. I'm still scared of what might happen to Isla and Liam if we make ourselves noticeable." Aurora sighed, smiling softly. "To think that a life has been thrown away because of a weak coat seam..."

"Really? Simulations?" Adeline shook her head, she could only imagine how real they might be. "I don't think I'd want to do simulations. Real battles are fine enough for me." She ran her hand along the dummy's "chest", following a large cut in the material. "I'll talk to him and see if we can put an order in. These are long overdue for a replacement."

He had only known one other mundane with the sight when he was a child, and she had always preferred to stay out of the eyes of the Clave so he understood where Aurora was coming from. He also understood her from an elder sibling point of view, one who just wanted to protect her family. "You have nothing to worry abou, I promise. I won't notify the Clave or anyone else of your existance, but if you ever need anything don't hesitate to ask alright? As a mundane you have our protection - that's our job - but that extends to these two too. I tink you'll find that my family and I are a bit more friendly with Downworlders than others."

"Oh I doubt that. You and my brother are equally matched - if he has trouble tracking me then you would too." Annabelle went to take a bite of the cupcake in her hand right when he smeared his own in her face. "That was a waste of perfectly good icing!" The girl glared at him, dropping the sweet in her hand onto the bed as she rubbed at her face in an attempt to wipe some of it off. It was pointless though, she only smeared it more along with adding extra icing from her fingers to the mess. "I was nice enough to let you even have one of the chocolate cupcakes and this is how you thank me?" Eyeing her fallen cupcake she let out a frustrated sigh, falling onto her back and throwing an arm across her face to shield her eyes from the light above them. "Lovely."

"Least get something cool that's all." He picks up another cupcake and takes a bite out of it. Truthfully, he hadn't seen much action in the last few months. He found himself hunting smaller demons and occasional feral vampire.

The Shadowhunters there were pretty aggressive, so I suppose that I developed a survival instinct of sorts." She sighed, dropping eye contact. "It's difficult to look after these two. As you just saw, Liam goes through clothing fast, and it's difficult and expensive to hide their marks all the time. Plus, I can't even count the favours I owe now in order to get books so they can learn how to use magic and cast glamours." She shivered a little bit, obviously thinking back to the last time she made a deal. |

- I'm also making a few downworlder characters and cleaning up around the house a bit so I'm sorry if I'm a tad bit poofy ;-; -
"Well in the meantime, I'm not the best in hand-to-hand combat and I've been kind of slacking off in my training lately. Bash says I need to stop relying on ranged weapons so much, but when we spar he goes easy on me and I don't really get much out of it." The part faerie girl gave him a small shrug, turning to admire the various weapons hanging on one of the walls nearby. A small blush was beginning to spread on her cheeks, her nerves beginning to get to her. She wasn't one to go out of her way and ask people for things, even if it was something as simple as a training partner.

Annabelle peeked up at him from under her arm, "Did you seriously just do that?" She wasn't quite sure what she expected Jas on to do, but it definitly wasn't using his cupcake to eat icing off her cheek. Dropping her arm she held the cupcake out in front of her, debating on if she really needed it or not. Eventually she gave in, but not before reching out her hand to wipe off a small bit of icing that sat just above his cheekbone. "I guess chocolate icing does make everything better, even you." After licking her finger clean she turned her attention to back to her cupcake, peeling the paper back to take a small bite out of the side.

"Well, if you're ever in trouble don't hesitate to come ask for help. And if the others don't ket you in then come find me, we'll keep you guys safe." Sebastian realized he probably shouldn't be promising her things without speaking to the Clave first, but he didn't want to jeopardize Annabelle and Adeline being sent away if they knew he was even interested in helping two young downworlders. He couldn't just pretend she didn't exist, he could only imagine the things she had seen and he thought it might be best if he kept an eye on her whether the Clave knew or not. "I might be able to help with that, if you just give me a little time. My sister has an... aquaintance of sorts. A warlock who lives not too far from here, actually. He done a few favors for us before, so he may be willing to help teach them." It was a long shot, Bash knew. The warlock (I don't have a name for him but he's almost done xD I've been working on him since I re-made the rp lol) enjoyed the girls' company, though he didn't care too much for Shadowhunters as a whole - much less Sebastian himself. He saw them all as play things, pawns in a world where Downworlders outnumbered them 10-1 and he used that fact to his advantage sometimes.

Jason laid there on his side, facing her, a small smile on his lips. “Well, I couldn’t let perfectly good icing go to waste.” He stated, somewhat repeating one of her previous statements on the matter. He then chuckled slightly when she said how icing makes everything better, as well as how she wiped the icing off of his face and proceeded to eat it. “You never know, maybe I make the icing better.” Jason smirked slightly as he took a large bite out of his cupcake. “And hey, don’t be mad at me for covering for face with icing. You had some on there before we even started to eat them.” He said with a grin, talking about how he knew she licked out the bowls. “I say I get to lick the bowls out next time, if Adeline doesn’t wack me with that wooden spoon again.”

Annabelle rolled her eyes when he said he didn't want to waste it, "You're so weird sometimes. I think you're the first to ever eat icing off of someone with a cupcake, most people would just lick it off or just not even smush a cupcake in someone else's face in the first place." Part of her wanted to get up and see how messy her face actually was, but she was way too comfortable to actually want to go anywhere at the moment even if her vanity was only a few feet away. She knew some had gotten in her hair for sure, she could feel a few strands sticking to her cheek but she was scared to move it in case she made it even worse. "Oh no, you've got it backwards. The icing definitly makes you better, chocolate always makes everything better. Also, if you even try to take my bowls away you won't have to worry about Adeline smacking you, it'll be me holding the spoon."

"Well I'll see if I can work something out with him, though he's out of town right now I think. He's... interesting. He'll do anything for my sister - they get along great - but he likes to give me odd jobs in exchange for favors." Sebastian chuckled to himself, rubbing the back of his neck as he thought about all of the silly errands he's ran for him in the past. "Well, the Institute isn't hard to find. If you go a few blocks south from here there's an old Cathedral, though you may have to concentrate to see through the glamour for a moment. It looks condemned but I promise it's not, I'm there pracically 24/7. If no one lets you in just ask for Bash, that's what my family calls me so they shoud let you in."

I feel like Jason is the type of guy where you just think: “Man this guy is weird, leave me alone...” But then also you’re like: “But he’s just so cute and goofy, can we keep him?” XD)
Jason chuckled at that. “Maybe I just wanted a little bit more icing on my cupcake, since, you know you had to hog it all and smear it all over your face.” He said with a big smirk. “I suppose you’re right, chocolate does make everything better. When you don’t have chocolate on you, you’re usually insufferable and annoying, but now you’re not half bad.” Jason said teasingly. “You threaten me with the spoon?! And to think I ever trusted you.” The man said with a laugh before taking another bite out the chocolate cupcake. “We’re going to have a heck of a mess to clean up when we’re done.” He added, shaking his head slightly, a large smile on his face.

Sebastian gave her a small shrug, "It works well enough; they've done some remodeling on the inside so it doesn't even reseble a church anymore, it's still pretty out dated though." Interior design wasn't something most Shadowhunters concerned themselves with. As long as the Institue was in a well enough state to serve it's purpose it was fine - whatever that meant. "Besides, we're far enough from town that we don't get many unwanted visitors. Occasionally there's the stray mundane but the glamour does a decent job at keeping them out. I'm honestly not sure what they see but it wards them off." "It's usually a ruined church when I look at it with the glamour up," Aurora said. "Sometimes, groups of teens dare each other to wander over there. At least, it happened when I was in high school. I'll try to keep people away from it if I overhear anything," She said. She rolled her shoulders, smiling. "Sometimes I wonder how mundanes without the Sight have lived so long without accidentally learning about the Shadow world..." |

I had to switch to my phone since I'm at work so sorry if my posts are shorter -
"You call me annoying, but who's the one who shoved a cupcake in my face? I haven't put any icing on you, you did that to both of us." She pointed out, finishing off her cupcake with a small smirk. "I should smack you with the spoon for that, too bad I don't keep one under my pillow." At the mention of the mess the girl frowned a bit, eyeing her fallen cupcake. "Yeah... You are going to help me, right?"

Sebastian simply nodded as if to say thank you, remembering the few times mundanes had gotten close but then just turned around and walked away. Years ago a warlock put a spell on the Institute to turn them back around if anyone got too close, a sort of safety measure for those the glamour didn't have much of an affect on. "I just wonder how mundanes go on living their life so... repetitive? I guess that's a good way to say it. No offense, but mundanes are just so boring. You're actually quite interesting compared to some of the others I've met."

Jason had a large smile on his face. “A pie?! Of course not! I’ll eat the pie first, then hit you with the pie tin.” He stated, laughing slightly as he talked. “And hey! You have no right to get revenge on me for that! I did it for a perfectly good reason.” Jason said, pausing for fake dramatic effect. “You, missy, called me pudgy, knocked me down, and stretched out my shirt collar!” He said and crossed his arms, a fake frown on his face, but it was clear he was poorly holding back a large smile and a lot of laughter. “I think that I should of smeared another one on you.” Jason sassily said.

Donovan eats the last of the cupcakes and licks his fingers. "Thanks again for the cupcakes." He said handing the plate over to Adeline. Honestly, he spent a good hour training and could go for a long break. "What is everyone else up too?" He questioned curious as to what his fellow Shadowhunters were doing.
