Thornpaw, too, was a little uncertain on how to approach the rabbit; he'd never actually caught a rabbit before, and the few times he'd tried to stalk one hadn't been very successful. "And I'm probably the worst rabbit hunter in the entire Clan," he confessed, his voice a low whisper as he turned his head to look at Harepaw. The hare and his denmate were, he noticed with a soft chuckle, pretty much the same size. He thought for a moment, assessing the situation. "Well, I'm bigger and heavier, but you're a lot faster and can definitely keep up with it," he pointed out quietly, "so I suppose, if we did the same thing we did with the squirrel where you chase it to me and I jump on it, we might have a shot at catching it?" It was a very amateurish plan, but he couldn't see any other way to approach it. He'd probably miss and mess it all up, but it was worth a shot, right?

Thornpaw only had a moment to think. He honestly didn't even know if he thought at all, because before he figured out what he was going to do he was running, fangs bared and adrenaline coursing through his veins. What was he doing? He could hear Roselight, Leafscar, Blackthorn, what felt like the entire Clan screeching at him to stop and think. But he didn't have the time for that. That thing was not harming a hair on Harepaw's pelt and by StarClan was he going to make sure of that. Precision and practice completely flew out of the picture as he charged straight past Harepaw and slammed head-first into the oncoming creature, sending both it and himself tumbling backwards in a cloud of dirt. Blindly, he slashed and jabbed at every inch of its flesh he could reach. Claws dug into his cheek and forehead and blood welled in his eye, then he felt something forceful hit him in the abdomen and he sprawled backwards; the hare shot to its paws, blood oozing from a fresh gash on its back, and he could've sworn it glared at him before it retreated. "Next time, pick on someone your own size!" he spat, snarling furiously in the direction it had fled. He didn't even notice the blood until his eye began to sting from how much it had gathered there, and he raised a paw to wipe at it, his tabby fur stained red as he pulled it away.

(I think Thornpaw's got a little crush at this point hehe And hullo!! ^^)
Thornpaw was pretty much speechless when Harepaw ran to his side, and although he kept his eyes locked on hers he couldn't quite figure out what to say to her. His heart felt like it was about to burst from his chest, and the strange thing was that he didn't think it was because of the fight. "I couldn't let it hurt you." His voice came out breathless, hushed for some reason or another that he couldn't quite put his paw on. "You- you're okay, right?" He sniffed at her pelt, and was relieved when he couldn't smell blood. He could still feel the blood welling slowly above his eye and on his cheek, but in that moment that hardly mattered to him at all. He leaned forward, gently nosing at Harepaw's cheek as she hung her head, trying to get her to look back up at him.

Thornpaw frowned, his amber eyes soft as he gazed down at Harepaw. "What for?" He kept his voice gentle as he spoke, hoping to offer Harepaw some form of reassurance. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. He leaned into her touch as she tried her best to clean the fur on his face, keeping his eyes fixated on her face as she did so, just watching and taking her in. He wanted to say it out loud but the embarrassment of admitting such a thing crept through his pelt and into his skin like vine tendrils. "I'm pretty sure I was the one who made the decision to charge an angry hare," he joked, but his jest fell flat in the solemn silence. His heart sank further and further into the pit of his chest the longer he watched Harepaw; he hated to see her so sad.

(I'd die for them pls oh my gosh
I've got Leafscar and Tangletail both open, patch ^^)
"Never better," he purred, pleased and proud to see her smiling again, "I saved you, didn't I?" He was still grinning, his eyes warm as he continued to gaze at Harepaw. Although he hadn't killed the hare as they'd planned to, the fact that Harepaw was alright and unharmed held more importance to him than an impressive catch. Thornpaw nudged his denmate with his muzzle, the fur there still slightly tinged red but the blood having now either dried or been cleaned off. "They should call you Harethorn and we'd be the coolest cats in the Clan," he pointed out with a laugh, "and they'll never know if it was because I fought a hare or because we just make the best team."

"We'd sound cool!" Thornpaw protested, grinning toothily at his denmate. He couldn't help the soft, barely audible gasp that escaped him as Harepaw rested her forehead on his chest, and he tried his hardest to hide the broad, giddy smile that he could feel forming on his face. It felt...nice, her being there - like, something he could get used to. Something you want to get used to, a voice in the back of his head accused suddenly, and he flushed under his own observation. "Y-Yeah, let's head back. I'll, uh, see if I can get something for my cuts." He remembered how Harepaw had fallen into the tree earlier, and turned back to her. "You should get your ribs checked for bruises, too," he mewed, tilting his head to the side.
(I've got to head to bed now, remembered I have work in the morning so I've to be up early again smh I'll be back on to rp tomorrow!!)

Stormfeather chuckled in slight amusement at Dragonfire's moodiness. "I understand your concern, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't also worried, but logically I just can't see a reason for them to attack first and talk later. It never was their way of life, despite how much we, well, hated each other." The rivalry seemed silly to him in hindsight, and though both Clans had gone through the own dark days, they'd always been at each others' throats. Maybe if FlashClan did come back that would change.
Roselight relaxed some at seeing that Harepaw wasn't terribly hurt, nodding. "Yes, that's a good idea. It's good to challenge yourself, but do be careful. All the prey in the forest can't help you if you fall and really hurt yourself."
Sungaze shivered at the thought of the walls or ceiling potentially collapsing as they had earlier. "I dunno, I just hope they don't fall on top of us," he replied, glancing upwards. It was dark, and the air was very stale here. The most he could make out were shadows. As he walked farther, however, the air started to smell a bit fresher. "Oh, I think we might be near an exit!" he said. He kept walking, eventually finding himself standing beneath a small fissure in the ground. Above his head, the earth had cracked open, letting light and fresh air into the tunnels.
Forestkit seemed less eager at this, shying a bit at the thought of leaving the nursery. She'dnever been outside, and was cautious about what leaving would be like. "Er, I dunno... I should ask mom before I try to go outside, What if it's dangerous?" She was clearly the more cautious and nervous of her siblings, not wanting to venture somewhere new without knowing what might happen.

"Starclan above!" Lynxstorm exclaimed, seeing the injuries upon the apprentices. "How big was that rabbit? Alright, lesson learned. We're hunting smaller prey from now on. Are you alright?" He asked the apprentices with deep concern.
Acorntail nodded her agreement to her mate's words. "If anything, they could be in debt to us, and have no reason to attack when it's thanks to us that they could become a clan again."
"Yes. I suppose that is true..." Dragonfire considered the words with quiet concentration.

Name: Silentstorm Gender: tom Rank: Senior Warrior Age in moons: 54 moons Description: As a kit, the gray tabby tom rarely made a sound, thus earning himself the name Silentkit. Now, moons later, the large tom has grown into a fierce and powerful warrior, who chooses his words wisely and selectively. Silentstorm is a strong and protective cat who does not tolerate the breaking of rules. The muscular tom has long, dark grey fur with faint black stripes running down his sides. He has a splash of white on his back left foot, but that’s it. His watchful eyes are a pale yellow, and he has a scar running down the left side of his face. Family: Maybe brother to Robinfall? Other: Plots:
Name: Adderstrike Gender: tom Rank: Warrior Age in moons: 34 moons Description: Adderstrike was named for his uniquely marked pelt that somewhat resembled the scales of an adder when he was a kit. He has sleek, russet colored fur with thick black marks that curve around his entire body. The lean tom has orangish-yellow eyes and long claws, and is known for his ability to strike fast in a fight. The tom is a bit of a skeptic, who has a wavering belief in StarClan, and is slow to trust anyone or anything. He is loyal to Nightclan and his leader, but is also known to be cunning and ambitious, and hopes to one day become leader of Nightclan. Family: Maybe Brackenfall's brother? Other: (Anything else you want us to know about them.) Plots: (If your character has a specific plot you want incorporated, describe it here.)
Name: Fallowflame Gender: she-cat Rank: Warrior Age in moons: 26 moons Description: This slender she cat has the perfect frame for climbing with her strong legs, lightweight body and long claws. Her pelt is long and a dark red color, with a dark dorsal stripe running down her spine. Fallowflame has bright yellow eyes that seem to practically glow, especially due to the contrast against her fiery fur. She is smaller than most cats in the clan, which can put her at a slight disadvantage during battles, but she uses her slender body to her advantage. She is smart and cunning, and is a loyal member of the clan. She can be a bit sarcastic at times, but overall has a good heart. Family: Sister to Russetblaze? Other: Plots:
Name: Scorchpaw Gender: tom Rank: apprentice Age in moons: 10 moons Description: This tall black tom has sleek short fur and long legs. His eyes are a pale blue, appearing almost grey from a distance. Scorchpaw is a quick learner, and is known for his speed and agility. However, he tends to break the rules a lot and uses his wit to get himself (in, and) out of sticky situations. Ever since he was a kit, he has been getting into trouble, and as a result, he has had to clean the elders' den out more than a few times. His mother feared he might end up going down a path he could not return from one day, but deep down, the slender tom has good intentions and truly wants to make his clan proud. Family: Brother to Thornpaw? Other: Plots:
Name: Saf Gender: she cat Rank: Rouge hoping to become a part of the clan Age in moons: 28 moons Description: At a first glance, Saf appears to be a beautiful and dainty she cat, with her silky cream fur and frosty blue eyes, but underneath her long coat are strong muscles and long claws. The rouge she-cat has darker fur along her face, feet and tail, but each of those areas also boasts brilliant splashes of white fur. Her left ear has a jagged slash in it from a particularly vicious fight a few moons back, and she also bears scars of a few slashes on her side. When one first meets Saf, she appears to be a bit of a flirt, with her pretty looks and sultry personality. She will take orders to an extent, but will do her own thing if she disagrees with an order. Family: None Other: She used to be a part of a rouge clan in the city, but when her old leader commanded her to kill the kits of an enemy to the clan, she left for good. And wondered around until she stumbled upon NightClan. Plots:

"I-I think we're okay," Harepaw told Lynxstorm with a hesitant nod. She gave the two warriors a grateful nod, then pressed her flank to Thornpaw's. "We can support each other," she said quickly, feeling her ears grow hot. "I mean, we're both worried about each other. This way, we can keep each other steady!" The lanky apprentice nudged Thornpaw forward, padding along beside him without separating. She briefly glanced towards Thornpaw. Harepaw couldn't help but smile when she saw his face. He was a handsome tom, even littered with scratches and bites from a brave hare. She suddenly became aware of her thoughts and quickly looked away, her pelt burning with embarrassment.

Thornpaw was careful to keep his pace slow, shortening his strides so that he would be able to walk alongside Harepaw as their flanks pressed together. He couldn't seem to wipe the broad grin from his features, and so continued to smile to himself as he walked, his eyes mostly fixated on the ground underfoot so he wouldn't trip. "Yeah, it was no match for us," he mewed proudly, his tone cheerful as he offered Lynxstorm a bright smile, "but you're probably right." He glanced quickly at Harepaw to make sure she was doing alright, and could've sworn he caught her looking at him.
