Nathaniel Milbrok - 18 - Senior - Male Cautious, creative, and careless is the alliteration that describes Nathaniel. Two of those might seem like an oxymoron, but anyone who knows Nathaniel understands how perfectly it paints him. When it comes to personal decisions, Nathaniel is sure to calculate all the risks involved; the cons rarely deter him, whatever they might be, and often follows through regardless. He's a "look-before-you-leap, then leap anyways" sort of guy. (He argues that it's not careless if he's going in with eyes wide in acknowledgement of the dangers the action encompasses). Nathaniel is, for lack of a better phrase, too smart for school. His mind is like a sponge, soaking up everything academia has to offer, with little effort involved. Too lazy to complete his homework, complaining that he already understands the concept-- why should he have to prove that twenty times over with tedious answers to insufferable questions? Some might think him over-estimating his smarts, but his near-perfect scoring on tests justifies his claims. In short, Nathaniel is a brilliant daredevil who finds little challenge in school, and thus seeks to slate his thirst for creativity elsewhere. If you need someone to scheme, he's your guy. On a more personal level, Nathaniel has his issues like anyone else. After being bullied ruthlessly in middle school by those he considered friends, this senior is slow to trust anyone. In times of emotional chaos, he remains eerily calm and detached-- he claims its a skill her learned in order to focus at times his thoughts would otherwise be clouded. After seeing his older sister go through an emotionally abusive relationship, and due to his own trust issues, he is extremely protective of his younger sister Tess on all social levels. This, in turn, can lead to periods of warmth or tension between the two siblings. His physical appearance betrays his above-par intellect; in other words, he's average looking. Standing at 5'11", Nathaniel has mildly curly, dark brown hair that he keeps at a fair short length of two inches. A pair of pecan-brown eyes sit above a slightly snub nose, glinting with mischief. Nathaniel has an aristocratic face, highlighted by his sloping jawline. More on the athletic than geeky side, Nathaniel plays on the school baseball team, a mediocre player. He does have particularly broad shoulders, as well as finely-boned hands adept at fiddling.
Tess Milbrok - 16 - Junior - Female Perhaps the most noticeable trait of Tess's is her snark. She can't help it-- she was born with a wit sharper than a razor, and she intends to use it. Often, this comes out in the form of sassy remarks. Depending on who they are targeted at, they can range from warm banter to cold abuse. Tess is quick to grow frustrated with herself, although she can be quite patient with others. Observant, introverted, and slow to forgive. A psych nerd, she understands human emotions all too well and how they affect individual action-- when it comes to her own feelings, however, she's completely clueless. A prolific writer and reader, she spends her free time in the library reading or keeping a log of the days inside the school. What paper she can spare often turns into idle sketches. Tess is cold-sensitive, a saltaholic, and prefers to go barefoot in the abandoned halls (curiously, she walks on the balls of her feet). Tess is fairly ambitious and driven toward her goals, but she often finds herself confused on how exactly to reach them. In many ways, Tess is quite naive. She has never been through a situation more troubling than forgetting homework or moving houses. In other words, she has no traumas and comes from a fairly stably and wealthy home. The more she experiences inside the school over the summer, the more her innocence begins to wear off. Tess is close to her older brother Nathaniel, but their different priorities and mindsets can cause strife a'twixt the two. Tess stands are 5'7", slightly tall for a girl. Her brunette hair, parted to the side, falls in large, loose curls, lightening to dark blonde where it falls at her waist. Her mother once told her she looked like her German ancestors; a slim, square jaw, celestial nose, prominent cheeks, and full lips. She's not drop-dead-gorgeous, but certainly pretty. Blue-gray eyes dart from one face to the next, ever-watching expressions. She is quite animated herself. A slight smile often twitches at the corners of her mouth. Tess isn't in the best shape, hardly athletic. Lucky for her, she hasn't quite hit the stage where she starts growing out rather than up, and weighs a comfortable 120lbs. When they were locked in, she was wearing a pair of dark boot-cut jeans, sneakers, and a black vest over a sleeveless white shirt.
I may make one more. I try to give just a bare overview of their main personality traits, because often times my characters decide to go in different directions that I planned. So I'll wait to see how they turn out before I get too specific!

Sorry I'm so late Shad! ^^" I'm about to leave for school so I'll add you later, but I at least wanted to check in Yes, you can have siblings. I'd preter if romances were between characters with different rpers, though we have had crushes in the past so I don't really have a problem with it, as long as yout characters are interacting with the others. (though i think it was just me that did that whoops)
Don't worry about it Astrid!
I'm not too sure, Pineapple. I don't think much has happened since you were last on. ^^"
Anyway, I might be back on during school, hard telling, but I'll be on sometime today

Amy Jones - 16 - Sophomore - She/her Amy Jones is an averaged sized girl around 5'5" with dark red hair styled in a bob and bright hazel eyes. With a shorter than average red plaid skirt, a white tank top and a denim jacket she tends to look like the type of girl that doesn't care about others. That first glance fools many people except a few people, mainly Lorie. To those that she isn't close to, all they would receive is an indifferent perspective and she generally would not give others a second glance. To those that she does know, she's very thoughtful so to speak and she tries her best to help others around her. She's a sentimental person who doesn't forget how people treat her. She has the bad habit of snapping viciously at people that she holds a grudge against even if the grudge has started years ago. Her family consists of only Lorie despite not being blood related to her. Her actual blood relations are no family to her. Sure, they consider her their daughter but only for show. Amy's blood family is generally shallow and she despises that fact that she's treated like family for show, not for the fact that she is actually their daughter. For her skills, she considers herself a jack of all trades due to the fact that she picks up a skill pretty easily as long as somebody is there to show her through step by step. So far she's picked up some habits from Lorie such as her love for reading as well as other traits from her odd habit, people observing. She isn't big on words but prefers to show her emotions with actions rather than to talk to others about them. She isn't too keen on working with those that she doesn't know so she's rather an introvert in personality. Amy doesn't have a crush and nor does she have a relationship at the moment. Amy's bi at the moment but she doesn't know that fact.- [SnowStorm]
Loreanna 'Lorie' Fogheart - 17 - Junior - She/her With long, wavy light brown hair and bright caramel eyes, Loreanna Fogheart looks like a slightly average plain Jane if it wasn't for the fact that she's 5'3" in hight. With ripped artisan jeans, a white tank top, an open long sleeve plaid shirt and vans she's dressed to move. With her heart on her sleeve, Loreanna is generally a very bright, energetic person who loves to learn new things. Ranging from books to hands on activities, Loreanna isn't afraid to go out and try her best. She's a quick learner and generally in the top ten people in her grade even if she tends to have a lazy personality when she has no challenges in front of her. She loves to be active by doing things from longboarding to rock climbing in her spare time so she tends to have to be an extravert. The problem for that though is that she's asthmatic to the point where she can't run for long without her albuterol. After a round with a chest cough that just wouldn't go away she developed true vertigo. That caused her to constantly take pills that she couldn't go without. Due to all her health problems, Loreanna took an interest in the medical field, going to the point where she got her First Aid/CPR license. With wearing her heart on her sleeve, people tend to read her like an open book. With that in mind, when she's irritated, she tends to show it pretty easily. She doesn't quite know how to mask her emotions yet so she just goes with the flow, constantly adding flames to the fire that she builds. She's fiercely protective of the ones that she loves, easily going to the point where she goes to blows gladly for them, whether it is with words or hands. Loreanna's motto is Family First. Her family is everything to her and she would go to any lengths to keep them safe. Like Amy, she tends to hold grudges but she would forgive them when they admit to her that they were in the wrong. Because of her active personality, she didn't have time to make much friends but the friends that she did make, they last for years. She refuses to give up on someone and tends to give people more second chances that they deserve. She's a bit of a pushover with her friends but she does have a limit and would stand by that limit even if it means leaving her friends for the time. When she was in elementary school, she was often forgotten by others and when she hit middle school, she was horribly bullied because she was the only one in her grade to get braces that year. Because of those two events she tried her best to change her life around, to be the very best that she could be. She lost a lot of 'friends' that way but she doesn't really mind loosing them because she turned out better than them. She had a huge crush on a guy in middle school but then when he mocked her for having 'train tracks' she decided to give up on the concept of dating at the moment. She's straight but tends to put others before her, including potential love rivals. - [SnowStorm]
I'll go back to edit Amy but I just can't get her character right yet I'm also so out of it!)

i got you shad I'd say we have three different groups based on how they feel about the situation We have the ones who have basically accepted it (Margot, Lauryn), the neutral crowd (Wynn, Jason, Emma, Cass, Riley, Lumi), and the ones who want to get out as soon as possible (Cray, Robin, Daisuke, Austin)
I could be wrong on some of this, call me out if I am I have to get off really soon so I don't have too much time to check but I think this is mostly accurate
Anyway As for what's actually happened plot-wise, Lauryn made an announcement over the intercom drawing everyone to the cafeteria for food. Cray and Robin became suspicious of her after this and went to go ask her if she knew anything. After a bit of arguing and pointless searching in the front office, the two decided to take a break. Cray went upstairs and ran into Cass, who he's taking to the cafeteria right now. Before the announcement, Daisuke and Cray discussed ways to get out and Daisuke suggested trying to get everything back online, which he had Austin help with. Their attempts failed, so they returned to the cafeteria and Austin asked if anyone had any other ideas. He's currently with Cyrus and the two are on their way to find something in the car mechanics room (there's probably a better name for this but). Everyone else in the cafeteria (just Emma, Lumi, Robbie, and Riley are left I believe) have really just been talking amongst themselves. Margot, Wynn, and Jason talked in the cafeteria and Margot suggested that they all go explore, which led them upstairs to Cray and Cass, though both groups are heading in separate directions right now.
and I think that's about it Like I said I can't really double check right now because I'm about to go to my next class if anyone gets on and can correct me please do I'll be back in a few hours
edit: tfw you find typos three hours later

Amy Jones – 16 – Sophomore – She/her With bright hazel eyes and a dark red bob, Amy Jones stands around 5’5” and would blend into the crowd if it weren’t for her outfit. Dark ripped up tights under a short red plaid skirt, a white tank top and a denim jacket with a key necklace Amy puts up a show that she won’t give you a second glance; a show that has worked generally really well if it wasn’t for her best friend, Loreanna ‘Lorie’ Fogheart. Slowly but surely Loreanna has begun to break her façade around her. To Amy’s chagrin and Loreanna’s delight, Amy was forced into showing the world her true colors, though she refuses to change her style. Under Amy’s façade, she’s generally a very bright, fun loving girl who loves a good laugh. She’s very protective of those she loves and tends to hold grudges against the ones who wrong her, even if it was years later. Once you are in as her friend, she tends to be a mother hen, always checking in on them and trying to dote on them. She has a stubborn streak a mile wide and a snappy attitude to go with it. With that type of attitude, one might wonder where Amy built it all and why. Sadly enough, her parents are the reason why. With the cold business father and the shallow, Barbie doll mother, she rarely had reason not to build up that façade. She learned about love from her best friend Loreanna because her showcase parents only acted like parents when a business party was near. They tended to put on their own façade of loving and doting on Amy in front of others. At first, Amy was thrilled to have her parents doting on her but then when the party ended and her parents went back to how they were without a second thought, she realized that she was just a tool, a tool to get them higher up in the business world. She built up on her façade by example of her parents so she has love and trust issues when it comes up to new people. She’s a quick learner when it comes to new things because she has to be, she doesn’t want to be used or played like her parents did to her ever again. She’s picked up a lot of new habits, good and bad over the years, often teaching Loreanna them as well. She can be some what of a bad influence on the ones that she loves as well but that's a flaw that she figures that if they want to stay with her, they'll accept it. She's still learning the ropes about being someone's friend so she can tend to trod on a few toes here and there. She isn't socially awkward or at least she normally isn't due to all the social parties that she's been to but she tends to be blunt with her words. Amy doesn't believe in skirting around the problems but to face them head on, often leading her into trouble. She’s always prepared to leave at a moments notice so it didn’t really hurt her to know that she’s trapped in the school and she doesn't think that her parents would care that much. She’s bi at the moment but doesn’t really realize that fact. – [SnowStorm]
Its still a bit short but it was definitely an easier time this round writing about her. That's who I'm sticking to )

Hey Brindle ^^ You could have Emma finish her conversation with Riley or you could have her run into Shad or Snow's characters. Disco has Avalon open, Pineapple has Robbie, Hawky has Lauryn, and I have Daisuke, but I think that's it for open characters.

Morning everyone. ^^ Well, I did post a recap for you, in case you didn't see it. ^^" This was your last post before Night's in case you need context: Honestly things have been so slow that I want to suggest that we skip the rest of this day so we can get things rolling, but I want our new members to be able to jump in and start somewhere and we do have a few things to wrap up first. Speaking of that, Snow, if you want to start, I have Robin, Riley, and Daisuke open, Pineapple has Robbie, Shad has Nathaniel and Tess, Disco has Avalon, and Hawky has Lauryn. You could just write a simple starter anywhere and I'm sure someone will run into them, though everyone is mostly either upstairs or in the cafeteria. sorry i keep repeating myself, just making sure

((I'll just have my characters wander through the halls, exploring on their own just outside the cafeteria. Y'all can come interact with them if you want)) ((Also I will be making a third character soon, I just gotta figure out his name.))
It was odd, seeing the halls so empty. Usually there was the patter of converses on the linoleum, the echoing clang of slammed lockers. There was a faint murmuring of chatter from the cafeteria down the hall, but the eerie silence fell upon the stuffy corridor like a smothering blanket. Tess had pulled her dark curls into a high ponytail. It was vain attempt to expose the back of her neck to a lost breeze, but without the electricity and AC, the hallway was uncomfortably warm.
"I wish we could open a window," she muttered, swiping the back of her hand to her damp forehead.
The boy next to her frown slightly from his crouched position. "If we could open windows, we wouldn't be here."
"You know what I mean." Tess resisted the urge to lean against the lockers. Then she'd have a sweaty back. "Are you done yet?"
"Almost." One ear was pressed against a lower locker, close to the lock. He was gently turning the combination lock at an infuriatingly slow pace. There was a sharp click, and the boy flashed her a crooked grin of triumph. "It's open."
He yanked the door open to punctuate his words. The locker was empty, but neither of them had expected anything more. Tess lowered herself to the ground, unlacing her sneakers and slipping them off to reveal white ankle socks. There was no reason to be wearing them inside at the moment. Besides, she was tired of wearing them-- her feet were hot enough. Next to her, the boy was doing the same, but he also shrugged off the jacket tied around his waist. Both kids placed their belongings in the locker.
Tess watched him slam it shut. "You really think people would steal our shoes and jacket? What would they need extra shoes for, stuck inside a building?"
"You never know." The boy's eyes slid to the cafeteria doors. Then he straightened up, a smile ghosting his lips. "Good thing you have a genius for a brother, thinking these things through for you. If I weren't around you'd be mugged faster than Anne with a box of chocolate!"
Tess shoved him playfully. "You're so full of yourself, Nathaniel!"

"Wow, is there really?" Austin clasped his hands together in delight as Cyrus's words flowed, a pleased grin appearing on his face. Though slightly unnoticeable, his eyebrows had previously been a bit knitted in thought - or was it frustration? - but hearing a possibility of escape greatly brightened his disposition. "We should go look together, if you want to." "Maybe. We cleared a lot of it out," Cyrus said, a smile instantly lighting up his face at the boy's reaction. "Sure." His chair scraped obnoxiously against the floor as he pushed it back. Not bothering to replace it, Cyrus took a bite of his banana and plucked the rest of the fruit from its peel, which he dropped in the trash on his way to the door. "'Ready when you are." hawk i neglected u omg sorry )) "Oh, I was born ready, dude," he spoke in a voice full of matter-of-fact tones, slightly adjusting the glasses rested atop of the bridge of his nose. Blinking in reaction to the refreshed effect it had on his lazy eye, he said, "I hope y'all didn't clean out, y'know...the heavy stuff." Stretching his arms above his head, Austin trailed on alongside Cyrus as they continued on to the mechanics room.

The halls were too quiet Amy decided after a moment. She was with Loreanna at the moment, hiding out in the nurses office after a particularly bad bout of vertigo for the poor caramel eyed girl. Sitting on the counter with a leg propped up, she glanced around the room once more "You know Loreanna, it might be better for us to head to the cafeteria, even if the intercom announcement was a little off. I mean, who in their right mind would do that? They'll get chased for knowing too much." she said with a light snort, hazel eyes landing on one of the few people that she can call family at the moment.
"Its Lorie you imbecile, you know that." A voice muffled out from under a pillow. With a slight laugh, a hand came up and lifted the pillow off of her face. Bright caramel eyes gazed up at the ceiling for a moment before flickering towards the brunette with a bob "You helped with that nickname yourself. Now maybe we should go for food. I mean I need something in my stomach. The vertigo kicked it all out." She said and if to confirm it, her stomach let out a small growl. Pink dusted her cheeks lightly before laughing again "Come on Amy, lets just go. Its worth the risk in my book. Besides, we don't really know who's here or not!" she exclaimed, getting up slowly before heading to the door.
Amy let out a small sigh, a smile dancing on her face. "Okay Lorie, lets go but stop moving so quickly! You'll get sick again!" she said, leaping off the counter to mother the poor girl. She placed a hand on the door before the girl and grinned at her "One step at a time!" she sang out, walking out the door only to hear "I'm sick, not fragile!" out behind her. Amy just let out a twinkling laugh and continued on her way.

Lumi hoped down from the windowsill after folding her notebook up, sighing to herself softly before raising her hand in a wave to the other kids in the room before letting it drop back to her side, "If anybody needs me, I'll be in the art room." she said plainly, before heading out of the room. As much as it was enjoyable to chat with the other students, she much preferred spending time doing what she loved. Before she knew it, she found herself back in her favourite place, turning her gaze to a 3/4 finished canvas of a what seemed like a beautiful painting.
It was a 'small' project she had been working on between her actual school assignments, and finally, it was taking shape. She set her notebook down on top of the pillow on the ground, moving the blanket aside a bit, before pulling one of the stools in front of the easel again, moving around quickly and quietly as she poured little blobs of the paint she needed onto her pallet. She had to plan out her next moves carefully, and then... She would get to work.

Austin tapped his chin in thought at Cyrus's words, a slight frown appearing across his lips. "Hmm...you might have to get somebody stronger, then, if they're that bad. I'm really weak," he mentioned sheepishly, offering an ever-so-slight shrug and a tiny smile to compensate for his clear embarrassment. I should probably take up weight lifting, or something...
