Like how a river carves it course, the winds etch through the moors and the moon influences the tides, fate is inevitable regardless of how a cat might try to evade it. Often the very path a cat dreads is the one they find themselves on in the attempt to avoid it. For the stars always have a way of enforcing what is meant to be. But just because it is inevitable, doesn't mean a cat is incapable of changing what is written in their stars. Divisions have torn through SpiritClan for as long as the river, wind and moon have existed. The system which has long underlined so much of our lives is falling apart at the seams and with it the clan is beginning to seep through the cracks left behind. The fates seem to have our destruction written in the stars which for so long have dictated so much of our lives. But it is not the stars which have written our fate, but the actions of a leader who rules his clan with an iron paw, and his choices may see the clan crumble around him, or raise themselves in rebellion. When the line is crossed there is no going back. The laws we fought so long to enforce, might be the very thing that tears us apart.
1. Characters. Don't make perfect characters; characters without flaws have no depth. Unrealistic appearances are also not permitted. ( So, no your cat cannot have a rainbow coloured pelt). I won't make a limit on the amount of characters you can make, but don't bite off more than you can chew. You should be able to produce at least 3+ well-written responses per week per character, especially so if they're of a high rank. (LGBTQ+ characters are also welcomed. <3)
2. Roleplaying. Obviously, no god-modding and character-killing (without explicit permission from myself, or another mod, and the owner of the character you're killing). I expect a minimum of 5 sentences per post. (One-liners are a no-no). When roleplaying a fight scene (which, will be fairly often due to our plot), be sure to use an online dice to make it fair. Both people involved in the fight must choose numbers from the dice; and, if the dice lands on any of those chosen numbers during that person's turn, their character gets to make a successful hit. If one cat has an apparent advantage over another, the person with the stronger cat gets to choose 4 numbers instead of it being an even 50/50 split. If someone isn't comfortable roleplaying something, use the handy time-skip tool.
3. Activity. As previously stated, make sure to make 3+ responses on each character every week. It's up to you to manage your time, but I recommend being here 5/7 days of each week, so you do not miss any major plot development pieces.
4. Respect. As always, follow the golden rule: treat others they way you would like to be treated. Never bully/harass/taunt/make fun of someone outside of roleplay. No exceptions to this rule. If you see a member bullying another, please notify me or a mod. They will be kicked without question. No second chances will be granted.
5. Don't start on major plot developments without approval. This makes it a lot easier for me and the mods to track and organize our plot developments. For instance, don't assassinate a member of the royal family out of the blue, just because. Drama is welcomed and embraced, but keep it within a reasonable range. If you have read these rules and agree to abide by them, please write your initials at the bottom of your joining form.
6. In general...have fun, and don't be a jerk! (Oh, and all other official forum rules apply as well, of course).

In SpiritClan, there are multiple families, bearing the proud names of ancient constellations. These families are dubbed "Houses". Within each House, there are multiple Vessel Houses (lesser families) that will bear the name of a star within the constellation that shares the name of the House they serve.
The Monarchy: These are the ruling figures of the Clan, dubbed the "King" and "Queen". The Reigning Monarch is the one who holds the most power of the two, while the other title simply goes to their mate. (Ex. a female heiress may ascend to the title of "Queen", and their mate will the "King". In this case, the Queen will have more power than the King). Despite this gender-neutral sort of system, the most frequent Reigning Monarchs are the Kings. In SpiritClan, the ascension of power is completely decided by the preceding Reigning Monarch; it may not be the first-born kits of the royal family. Sadly, in most cases, if there's a son in the family, the daughter would never inherit the power. The current Reigning House is House Saptarishi. The Reigning House may be changed if the Reigning Monarch cannot produce a suitable heir/heiress, in which case, an heir/heiress will be selected from the pool of High Houses.
The Protectors: Made up of Knights/Dames, Soldiers and Shadows. Knights/Dames are considered to be the most elite fighters of the Clan - Knights/Dames are either former Shadows or Soldiers. There will only be two Knights/Dames, one to lead the Shadows, and one to lead the Soldiers. The Knight/Dame that leads the Soldiers would be head of House Draco, while the Knight/Dame that leads the Shadows would also be the head of House Hydra. Soldiers are the offensive fighters, their attacks utilize brute force and aggressive slashes. A Shadow’s line of work is more concerned with the security of the Clan. They utilize illusions and mind games to keep dangers at bay. Their style of fighting involves ambushes, and quick, silent deaths. Shadows are usually from House Hydra, while Soldiers are from House Draco. Those who choose to become Protectors and are not of these two Houses learn claw-to-claw combat.
The Crafters: Their ability has the most freedom. The possibilities are truly endless to what they’re able to do, if only for a short period of time. Crafters are fluent in the Language of Stars, using the runes for a channel for their ability. The Runic-Writers are able to write to “enchant” an object containing light to serve a certain purpose with runes. For instance, they might “enchant” a light-harbouring pebble into a charm that allows the wearer to breathe underwater. To do this, they might write: “breathe underwater” in runes. The charm will last as long as there is still light within it. The Crafters can make charms, traps for prey (although this takes a more skilled Crafter, as more description is needed on the mechanics of the trap), wards for protection around SpiritClan premises, and much more. Their only limitation is their own imagination and creativity. Crafters are usually from House Aquila.
The Healers: Cats of SpiritClan are sensitive to starlight-their abilities are quite literally fuelled by it. So, the question becomes, what about during the day? While SpiritClan is no doubt more powerful during the night, however the solution is in the form of a Star-Saver. You see, Star-Savers have the ability to harbour all kinds of light in their bodies. This includes sunlight/moonlight* and starlight. They can then channel this light into an object (take, a pebble for example), which can be accessed by cats with abilities that rely on starlight. Star-Savers are, essentially, a biological battery. Their ability to harbour light also doubles as a healing ability, as they can channel starlight into pretty much anything. This mean, they’re able to channel starlight into cats, directly, as well. When SpiritClan cats are exposed to starlight, they’re given a boost. This means that channeling starlight into an sick/injured cat could cure them. (Hence, why they’re called “healers”). Healers are usually from House Cygnus, and therefore do not need herbs to heal. However, for Healers who are not of House Cygnus, they heal with herbal remedies.
*I am aware that the sun and moon technically emit the same light (as the moon simply reflects the sun’s rays). I am also aware that the sun is also a star, however, the abilities of the SpiritClan cats were a gift from the celestial spirits. The sun is not part of the constellation, thus it has no effect on SpiritClan cats.
The Hunters: Made up mainly of House Grus, the ever-watchful eyes of SpiritClan. Many of them are restless at being lumped together to do a measly chore, often indignant that other High Houses are belittling their ability. House Grus are made up of Spirit-Walkers; they have the ability to shed their body, and the freedom to roam in spirit form. This form doesn’t have the same limitations a mortal body would have. For instance, they can pass through solid objects, levitate into the air, and instantaneously travel to any place they wish. (However, all Spirit-Walkers have a certain range that limits them, the ones with a wider, longer range of travel are usually more powerful and experienced). Unfortunately, it would not be possible to hut prey in spiritual form. However, a practiced hunter can use their spiritual form to observe the prey (what angle it’s at, where its escape routes are, etc.), before striking.
Hunters may also take part in patrols, as it is their responsibility to check the prey-traps the Crafters set. Those who become Hunters and are not of House Grus are often disadvantaged because they do not have the extra "awareness" of their surroundings.
Initiates: Cats who are six moons and older undergo their Initiation Ceremony, in which they choose a career path to follow. Most choose to follow the traditional route their House ancestors took. House Hydra cats would become Shadows, those of House Draco would go on to become Soldiers, House Aquila descendants became Crafters and House Grus would train to become Hunters. Though there are a brave few who’ve chosen to pursue different paths, they may be looked down upon as “foolish” and “inadequate”.
Mothers: Those who’ve been granted an eight moon break to rest and have their kits. A temporary position.
Seniors: Cats who’ve grown too old to do their job, or too sick/injured.
*PLEASE NOTE: Cats do not to have follow the "traditional" rank their House holds. (So yes, this means a House Draco cat can learn to heal with herbs, instead of starlight; a House Hydra cat can learn to hunt the old-fashioned way; a House Aquila cat can learn claw-to-claw battle tactics and serve as a Shadow/Soldier, but notice how hard it is for them not to follow their traditional roles). All physical limitations aside, many cats would look down on those who hold a role they don't have the "right" ability for, which would be why not many choose to stray from the path their House has been assigned to. Please keep in mind that this isn't to dissuade you from making a character like this; I just want you to know what to expect if you were to choose this.

House Saptarishi
This ability is exclusive to those with royal blood in their veins, only House Saptarishi was given the key to call on any of the spirits that reside within the Celestial Plains. While technically spirits cannot touch anything solid in the mortal realm, a Celestial-Summoner’s summoned spirits are an exception to this rule. Once summoned, the spirit will be a faithful companion to the Summoner. The most common reason for summoning a celestial spirit would be battle purposes, which is why Draco, Hydra, and, obviously, Ursa Major are popular choices for summoning. As with all abilities, there are, of course, limitations. While a SpiritClan Summoner can call upon any of those that reside in the Plains, the six spirits that are represented within the Clan (by the Reigning House and High Houses) automatically share the strongest bond with the Summoner. (Which, may be why they’re more likely to be called upon). A strong bond between the spirit and Summoner is essential. A Summoner and spirit can choose to be Bonded to one another. Most commonly, a Saptarishi Summoner will choose one of the six as a spirit to be Bonded to (as they’re already starting on a strong relationship), but there are a few exceptions. Some have chosen one of the thirteen zodiac signs. (Popular ones being Leo, Capricorn and Aquarius). Choosing spirits outside of the six simply means the Summoner must spend more time to cultivate their relationship. Often difficult, but manageable. The number of celestial spirits that a Summoner can summon determines on their level of experience and strength of their ability. The best Summoners have been able to summon three celestial spirits simultaneously. (Known as the famous Triple Summon). Currently, there is no recorded evidence of a cat being able to do a Quadruple Summon. (Many even believe it to be impossible, as it would use up too much of a cat’s ability and life force). Double Summons also prove to be quite difficult, but most can surpass the milestone with adequate practice. Anything beyond a Double Summon requires a certain degree of strength one can only be born with.

House Hydra
An ability derived from illusions and mind games. Trickery dances in the blood of House Hydra. Dream-Weaving is an art, and a respected one at that. The scope of a Weaver’s ability is wide, and vicious. They’re able to reach deep into an individual’s mind, and pull out their worst fears, nightmares and insecurities, often exploiting deeply personal information. They feed off of mental imbalance. In essence, their ability is like mind-control, in some sense. Many cats frown upon the sheer brutality of their ability - those who have experienced the influence of a Dream-Weaver are often left in the wake of trauma and paranoia. While Dream-Weavers dominate the realm of mind games, there is only so much they can use at their disposal. For instance, they cannot read the other cats’ minds, but many are very perceptive. (Which, make them seem a lot scarier than they actually are). As their House saying goes: “If you know a cat’s greatest fear, then you know them completely.” Cats under the influence of a Weaver go into a trance-like state in which their worst fears come to life in their head. While some of the more strong-minded individuals may be harder to influence, no cat is exempt from the mercy of a Weaver. Nobody can break free from a Weaver’s clutches, unless the Weaver stops weaving. While the victim is trapped within their own head, they are immobilized and unaware of their surroundings, leaving the Weaver to do what they please to the victim. The amount of victims a Weaver can influence simultaneously can change with experience and practice. A Weaver is automatically born with the ability to influence one individual. On average, an adult Weaver can influence four to six victims at once. Emotion is the Weaver’s main arsenal. They play on a cat’s feelings, beliefs and mental stability. While a Weaver usually chooses to pull out a cat’s worst fears, they can also pull out a cat’s greatest wish/dream, as well as any strong opinions/thoughts/beliefs. A Weaver may then pick the victim’s morality bare. For instance, they may choose to show how the victim’s dreams are impossible, or how believing in certain philosophies can lead to exaggerated disaster. It is true that Dream-Weaving is an ability surrounded by smoke and mirrors, but within these fightful illusions, there is often a great truth hidden within them.
S P I R I T - W A L K I NG
House Grus
Ability to separate the soul and the body on will. Commonly, this is to get to the Celestial Plains to speak with the spirits or the Clan’s ancestors. (This is dubbed a Cross-Dimensional Separation). However, Partial Separations may be employed to give a slight advantage when hunting, or scouting. In spiritual form, one is not bound by the laws that apply to mortal bodies. The ability to cross over to the Celestial Plains is simply ones of these rogue limitations. Another would be the ability to travel anywhere, instantaneously, with a simple thought. Of course, as a spirit, one is not able to physically touch anything within the mortal realm, nor are spirits visible to those whose spirits still inhabit a body. Spirit-Walkers all have a range in their ability strength. Those who are more experienced, have had more practice, and often older, can travel further and faster in their spirit form than those who are of a lesser calibre. Which, would be why not all Spirit-Walkers can complete a Cross-Dimensional Separation. The most experienced Spirit-Walkers can travel halfway across the world, if they wished. All they have to do is picture a scene and go there. However, one should not get lost in the freedom the spiritual form offers. The body, which is now a hollow vessel, must be taken care of in the Walker’s absence. Especially so when the Walker’s spirit is in a realm like the Celestial Plains, where time flows at a different, slower rhythm. If someone was to cause the body harm, then the Spirit-Walker is rendered dead. It is not certain if there are any other realms aside from the Celestial Plains, but there are many tales within the Clan of ancient cats who’ve braved the great unknown and lived to tell the story. No one of recent history has been able to confirm these wild claims. It has, however, been confirmed that Spirit-Walkers can travel through the uncharted depths of time. The very essence that fabricates the present. Spirit-Walkers can explore many different paths each slight deviation causes to the future. However, they cannot do this on their own. They must first go to the Celestial Plains, and request access to a certain period of time. Approval must be given by at least three celestial spirits, and one must accompany the time-travelling cat through their journey.
S T A R - S A V I N G
House Cygnus
One could call them biological batteries. These cats harbour all kinds of light in their bodies, and convert them to the usable kind, to service SpiritClan during the day. Starlight is the fuel for all cats’ abilities. All cats are also extremely sensitive towards it. Meaning, those who’ve contracted a potentially fatal illness can be healed from prolonged exposure to starlight, as it nourishes their body, and gives them a physical/mental boost. Star-Savers have the ability to shift light around with a single thought. All they need is a physical vessel - whether that be a pebble, stick, a marked portion of the ground, or even a cat. The amount of light a Star-Saver can harbour in their bodies depends on their ability strength and experience. Star-Savers also have the ability to convert sunlight/moonlight into usable forms of light to fuel cats’ abilities.
L I G H T - T R A V E L L I N G
House Draco
An ability held only by those of House Draco, it instills the user with the capability of harnessing a speed fractional to the speed of light, but still far faster than anything any other creature is capable of achieving. A user is further capable of bringing another cat; one unable to access this ability, with them where physical contact is made with them when the power is utilized. Though this limits the speed said cat is capable of achieving, it allows multiple travelers this ability where only one is capable of doing it alone. The speed at which a cat is able to travel at is dependant on their level of expertise.
R U N I C - W R I T I N G
House Aquila
An ability specific to House Aquila, is the most versatile and free of the abilities. Cats of this nature can use the clan's runic alphabet to 'enchant' objects containing starlight to do or provide certain things. For instance, a cat could write 'breathe underwater' in runes on a pebble containing starlight, which then would allow the wearer/holder to do just that - breathe underwater. More advance Runic-Writers could even create a new rune by building off the alphabet to create a substitute. Thus, instead of writing out 'breathe underwater' each time, they could use the individual rune as a substitute and get the same outcome. However, these cats can only enchant inanimate objects - living organisms are too hard and require too much energy to enchant. The written runes activate upon exposure to starlight, whether through direct exposure or a 'battery' function that most objects will be written with. What makes this ability so versatile is its compatibility with the other abilities. For example - there are protection runes scratched around the borders of the territory. Each one contains a Dream-Weaver's woven illusions. However, these runes are extremely complex and require a lot of time and energy, which is why only advanced Writers participate in the creation of them. They also require a large vessel, which makes a wearable ability-based charm entirely unrealistic.

SpiritClan was a former member of the Caligo Empire, which was ruled by the tyrannical Emperor Valdis. Cats suffered under his cruel regime, and to make things worse, his reign brought endless war. It was a time where famine swept he land, and illness plagued the young and elderly. Things looked bleak. It was during this era that a tom was born to a widowed young mother. Unable to find adequate food to keep her kits alive, she fled in harrowing despair. One by one, his brother and sister died around him, but the tom survived. He was rescued by Princess Akuji, one of the many daughters of Emperor Valdis. She raised the young tom kit as her own, naming him Ouroboros. Together, Akuji and Ouroboros plotted the downfall of the cruel Emperor. In what was dubbed the “rebellion of rebellions”, the two managed to usurp Valdis and his throne. Not much is known after that. The cats under Valdis’ rule continued on with their lives. Some chose to stay and rebuild a life for themselves, while others wandered away, wanting a fresh start free from the nightmare-ish memories the land contained for them. The Caligo Empire was no more, and from its ruins, came Spirit Clan. Due to the famed “Battle of the Stars” (in which Akuji and Ouroboros themselves led secret infiltration mission to assassinate the Emperor, during the longest night of the year), the celestial spirits of the heavens were moved. They decided to bestow upon the surviving rebels the gift of supernatural ability. In exchange, the rebels promised to serve the stars, forever and always. Eventually, at some point in SpiritClan’s recorded history, Akuji decided to lead a band of cats that wanted to leave the land. Ouroboros, however, had already become the leader of SpiritClan, taking on the name “Saptarishi” to honour his allegiance to Ursa Major. The two had an emotional goodbye, and all was well.

♕ There is a family heirloom passed down from generation to generation known as the “Onyx Eye”. It’s a glittering black gemstone hung on nettle string. The stone contains the a small portion of life force, donated by each descendant of the Saptarishi title, so that any of them may be called forth by currently-living cats of the House.
♕ House Saptarishi rose to power from the old days; they have been the only producers of Reigning Kings and Queens since the creation of the Clan, but there is no ancient law that addresses the issue of leadership by another House. Thus, it could potentially be possible for another House to take the reins, so as long as the former Saptarishi ruler names them as heir/heiress upon his/her/their death.
♕ Upon ascent to the throne, the Reigning Monarch is granted nine lives by eight celestial spirits, and the Clan’s ancient founder, a mysterious tom known as Ouroboros. These eight celestial spirits are not random, and are often associated with the unique flair to each of leadership each Reigning Monarch brings.

✾ Runic-Writers can create new runes to represent a runic sentence intended to enchant an object to do certain tasks. Each Runic-Writer’s created runes differ, even if they perform the same function. This makes their work unique and special. This “new” rune cannot be one from the established runic alphabet.
Interestingly enough, anyone can learn the runic alphabet and become a Crafter (in theory), but rune creation is exclusive to those of House Aquila.
*TIP: Now, I’m assuming most of you aren’t fluent in Mandarin Chinese, so making a “new” rune can be a little difficult. I recommend Google Translate; simply type in a random word on the English input side and copy and paste the Chinese character it generates. (If it generates more than one, just pick a random one). The character’s real meaning doesn’t have to be accurate, or have anything to do with your enchantment.
The Yuletide Moon: This is a moon of celebrations, starting from December 1st and lasting until January 1st. Specific celebration dates within this moon are Dec. 21st (it’s the 21st for this year, however it may shift to the 20th, 22nd or 23rd), Dec. 24th, Dec. 25th and Jan. 1st. These are the Longest Night, Starlight’s Blessing, Morning of Sacrifice and New Midnight, respectively. The Longest Night is exactly what it sounds like; it’s the longest night of the year. The longest time the spirits dance in the night sky. SpiritClan cats dance with the spirits until dawn, as per custom. The night is also spent in prayer, to give thanks to Ouroboros, who won the “Battle of Stars” to save SpiritClan. On the 24th, Starlight’s Blessing, it is tradition for the Star-Savers and Runic-Writers to collaborate to make ornaments that sparkle when placed on a pine tree, just outside of the camp. Later in the evening, all cats decorate the tree, and spend much of the evening socializing beneath it. The Morning of Sacrifice happens in the morning after Starlight’s Blessing, on the 25th. Cats exchange gifts with one another, to show their appreciation of each other and their Clan bond. Finally, on New Midnight, cats stay up on the night of Dec. 31st, until midnight, which marks the start of a new year. Many will spend the night in silent prayer, telling the spirit what they wish to see happen for the forthcoming year. Generally, it’s considered to be the biggest celebration, with lots of feasting, socializing and even friend spars/competitions taking place everyday.
Lovers’ Day: Taking place on February 14th, this a time to spend with your loved ones. Whether that be somebody special, or just your family. Many choose to make this date the day to conduct their Marriage Ceremony.
Trick of Light: On April 1st, we have a fun little day just to celebrate the joy in playing pranks. Beware, it tends to be a little...hectic. This is a Clan of super-powered cats after all.
Night of the Fallen: On October 31st, no cat is permitted to eat or drink anything. The entire twenty four hours is spent in fervent prayer, to offer gratitude to those who fell in the rebellion of rebellions to overturn Emperor Valdis. Only on the morning of November 1st is the fast broken. (Kits and nursing mothers are exempt from this rule).
Marriage Ceremony: Once it is announced, and both families have given their blessings, the pair will say their vows to one another. Each couple says a different version of the vow, but it is usually along the lines of:
“From this day forward, until the end of time, I shall cherish you and keep you close to my heart. I take you, [name], as my mate. My partner. My companion in this mortal life, and even in the afterlife. You have my loyalty, complete faith and eternal love. May the stars seal my words and bless our union.” Afterwards, there is a feast to commemorate the occasion.
Initiation Ceremony: Kits who’ve reached the age of six moons must decide which career path to pursue within the Clan. It’s a solemn and private ceremony. The Initiates pledge themselves to the spirits that represent each of the type of jobs in the Clan. This is done in the Cave of Fangs. Each individual Initiation Ceremony differs, as the Initiates may choose to express different concerns/thoughts/feelings. However, they all end the same, with: “I pledge myself to you, [celestial spirit].” M A R R I A G E S B E T W E E N H O U S E S
Once a male and female officially become mates, they both still retain their House names. Since, the name is much more than a distinction of family. It is a mark of the followers of a specific celestial spirit, and cannot be changed. Once the couple has children, they’ll be sorted according to their abilities. In most cases, the kits inherit either the mother or father’s ability. Those who inherit the mother’s ability will take her House name, and vice versa for the father’s side. However, there have been rare occassions when a kit inherits a grandmother/grandfather’s ability. It is not uncommon for the parents of High Houses to betroth their progeny the progeny of other High House pairs. (This is not so common for Vessel Houses).
C L A N B E L I E F S
Instead of believing in StarClan and the Dark Forest, SpiritClan cats belive in the Celestial Plains and Limbo. The Celestial Plains is where the celestial spirits reside, along with their Clan ancestors. (So, the SpiritClan cats can continue serving the spirits, even after death). Time runs differently in the Celestial Plains. A week in the mortal world is equal to a day there. Aside from this, the creatures that reside there are already immortal so their attitude toward time differs greatly to those of the SpiritClan cats’. This is why House Grus cats need to be careful when visiting the Celestial Plains. They must remain alert of the passge of time at all times. The Reigning Monarch may also visit the Celestial Plains to receive their nine lives. (They do this by simply sleeping in the Cave of Fangs during the night, as it is considered a sacred ground by the Clan).
Limbo is a place between the mortal realm and the Celestial Plains. Needless to say, it’s not a pleasant place to be stuck in. Those who have done evil are condemned to roam the fathomless depths for all of eternity and more. Not much is known about it, as SpiritClan law forbid House Grus Spirit-Walkers from travelling there.

SpiritClan makes its home in a place colloquially known as the “Cradle of Stars”, settled upon a lonely mountain top surrounded on all sides by hilly terrain which folds into moorland. A hardy clan, well suited for the harsh conditions of their home, they made their territory where the land touches the stars, where they can feel closest to their ancestors and of course their history. Known for its especially bitter winds and frosty landscape, not many can survive the harshness of the mountains, but SpiritClan are not the only ones carving their lives out on the mountains. Prey comes in a variety of forms, predominantly fish from the local water sources, hares, wild goat kids and birds snatched from the sky. Our musculature which aids in traipsing the expansive territory of our Clan lends itself well when it comes to catching this type of prey, as well as defending ourselves against our home's threats.
Cave of Fangs: As the name implies, this is the label applied to an especially large cave found within our Tunnel Systems, what the clan take as being like a cat's fangs are in fact stalactites and stalagmites. Whilst House Grus are the predominant connection with the Celestial Plains, it carries religious meaning to this Clan and is largely regarded as a sacred place. Especially due to the glitter shining amidst the different rocks.
Frosted Copse: Evergreen trees that maintain their colour regardless of the bitter cold are the most notable feature of this small place, it is unusual given that most other foliage doesn't tend to last that long into leafbare but this place is more hardy than other woodlands on the territory. It is a good place to hunt smaller mammals or seek shelter from the cold.
Meandering Tunnels: Much like how a river winds and curves around the course of its waters, the tunnels carved into the mountainside act in a similar manner as though once rivers ran underground. Of course that is not the case, but this is as to how the place gained its name. It leads to camp, the Cave of Fangs and a number of other places important to the territory.
Plummeting Trees: A landslide brought more than mud with it during one especially cold leafbare, and with it came an especially large number of trees which finished their tumble at the northern side of our mountainside. Here they remain, though dead and dry it provides a great place to hunt for mice and voles in a different circumstance, as well as practice one's climbing.
Reflection Lake: Less a lake and more an especially large pool of water found at the foot of the waterfall, it is known for the incredible clarity of the water. Reflecting the moon beautifully as well as the stars when night falls and providing a rather nice view as well as a great place to go fishing for those who dare to dip their paws into its frozen waters. Otherwise, most are happy to watch it rather than touch it.
Singing Stones: A variety of rather large stones and boulders arranged in the snow in such a manner that when the wind blows through them at the right angle, it creates a howling that when caught by the wind makes it sound like an especially loud singing bird. It is a large open space, popular amidst hares for its free space.
Thundering Waters: From one of the lower peaks of the territory a small stream comes to its end and falls to the ground in a rather beautiful waterfall, the noise of which is similar to thunder which is where this place gains its name. Finishing at the Reflection Lake, it is one of the fresher sources of water in the territory, and one of the more popular places due to its close nature.
Wooden Bridge: One of few remaining signs that twolegs have ever inhabited our homes, but it is clearly an ancient fixture whilst yet to show signs of rot or severe damage. It is a manner of crossing an especially large valley that would otherwise require a couple of days walk in order to get to the other side of the territory.
Yawning Cat: The entrance to the Meandering Tunnels and hence a key part of our territory as it leads to a great number of our key underground landmarks, it is named for the nature of its opening. Carved into the cliffside of dark rocks, its stalagmites and stalactites create the appearance of a yawning face. The Camp is located near the mountaintop, where the air is thin, climate cold and shelter scarce. As expected, SpiritClan’s Camp is a cave part of the Meandering Tunnels. It is close enough to an entrance for frequent travel in and out of the Camp, since cats of SpiritClan prefer to be out in the open at night, for a few hours, so they’re closer to the stars and can recharge. One only needs to take a couple of lefts to get there. (Both mentally and physically). The Camp is open concept and minimalist. There are no set places for each cat to sleep, play, eat, etc. However, there are nests (made of feather and animal pelts) that are reserved for the young and elderly, located at the very back of the cave. Other nests are scattered around the edges of the cave. The fresh-kill pile is usually in the middle. There are unspoken sections within the cave. To the far left corner, right beside the sleeping place of the elderly and young, are the herbal storage areas. (The herbs are often dried and organized neatly in a wedge of rock. Stones, gems and other crafting utensils are swept into a pile at the far right side, beside where the Star-Savers usually sleep and socialize.
Adjacent to the Camp Cave are four tunnels (all located at the right side of the cave). The tunnel closest to the back leads to another, smaller cave, without a top. As a result, sunshine and starlight regularly stream down into it. A small herbal patch is planted here. Cats sometimes train/hang out here when the conditions are too harsh outside.
The tunnel second-closest to the back leads to the Cave of Fangs.
The tunnel third-closest to the back is used as a Dirt Tunnel.
Finally, the tunnel furthest to the back, close to where the Soldiers and Shadows sleep, leads to the Yawning Cat.

For too long has SpiritClan has been ruled by the arrogant. The House made inferior for too long, a cat kept in the shadows of her sister's power and a fate too cruel. It seems even the stars have turned their backs on us. Civil war tears the Clan apart at the seams, families are ripped from one another and even the closest of bonds threatened as the clan falls to pieces. Culminating in a battle that leaves cats dead, exiled or imprisoned. And one innocent life on the line, with a time limit on its fate imposed by its own loved one. Our once strong clan will be brought to the brink of extinction, and at the heart of its rebellion are the very daughters who were meant to keep it safe. The family in the middle is our own royal family. Hearts will be broken and trust betrayed. This is not a story where the righteous win. As the Clan begins to rebuild in a now broken world, it is uncertain as to if what is left over will be recognisable from what we began as. Will the change so many fought for be worth it, in the end?

🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ ᴄᴀʟᴀᴍɪᴛʏ Nah, it's fine. cx I never really got the point of extra saves because Clans hardly ever use them. .

As dawn broke above ground, camp was largely absent of the buzz of life it usually carried. The distant sound of howling winds were the only sound that truly came to life at this hour, ricocheting off the walls in the clans usual backing track. Another might have found it chaotic, even unnerving, but having spent her whole life as a mountain cat, Lyra found it peaceful. The silver Queen had removed herself from her nest, whilst early rising was by no means out of the norm for her, even this hour was rather dramatic for her. Yet she found herself not heavier with sleep, but lit with a quiet excitement that had made sleep a difficult task. For the queen had a secret. She was carrying kits. Illness had plagued her for a day or two half a moon ago, but she hasn’t thought much of it given the speed of her recovery. But two days prior she had felt the first telltale signs of life, gently stirring within her. In truth the queen had jumped so hard she was astonished she hadn’t rouses Gallius from his sleep. Yesterday she had confirmed it, it seemed this leaf bare would bring with it more tiny mouths to feed. Permitting a soft sigh to escape her lips, she ran her nose tenderly through her slightly distended stomach. It would be another half a moon before she began to show, but was aware the secret wouldn’t keep that long. Her soft gaze lingered quietly on her mates form, then to Aeylrue and Freyja; her two daughters sleeping peacefully nearby. And her gaze waivered with a memory she’d rather forget. It won’t happen again, she tried to reassure herself but the attempts were futile. The agonized memory burned into her eyelids. Knowing full well the moment her secret was out, she would be a captive in the confines of camp until her kits were weaned, Lyra had chosen to keep the secret her own for a little longer and had sworn her healer to secrecy. She loved her family, but had she been honest it felt nice to have something that was only hers for a while. The little lives within her stomach her we’re to protect for now. Caught in the midst of her own mind, Lyra hadn’t noticed the clan beginning to awaken around her. On her paws quickly and returning to the warmth of her best as though she had never left. The silver Queen nestled close to her mate. Watching him for a heartbeat or two with a purr tugging from her lips. Just a day or two longer, she told herself as she hurried close to his chest. Falling asleep with a soft smile playing on her lips.

Gallius was roused by the rustling of his Clan around. Pawsteps broke the peaceful quiet; the Soldiers were already warming up near the entrance way, in preparation for the morning patrols, while some House Grus hunters were already performing their morning ablutions, getting ready hunt for the day's feast. Sleepy, incoherent mutters could be heard at the back of the cave, as the elders fussed with their bedding. A usual morning. Glancing toward his right side, he saw Lyra, his Queen, curled snugly up against him. Pausing, he took a moment to admire her sleeping form, before allowing himself a luxurious stretch as he got to his paws. He had duties to attend to after all, especially now that the Founding Feast was to be held today.
First order of business, see to the patrols.
The Clan was in hyper-resource mode now that the Yuletide Moon had arrived. Not did they have to keep up with the regular border checks and hunting patrols, Gallius also had to send out holiday-resource-gathering parties, meaning the Camp was bustling with cats coming and coming out constantly. Holly, evergreen branches and poppies were gathered to decorate the cave, while pebbles and gemstones were brought in to be crafted into tree ornaments for Starlight's Blessing.

Freyja Saptarishi had been awake for many hours before her parents, and as such was merely napping when her mother arose, then swiftly moved back to bed. Freyja smiled, her head resting on her paws, and watched as her mother crawled closer to Gallius. Faintly, Freyja couldn't help but chuckle at the slight swell of her mother's belly. She had her suspicions about what was growing in her mother's stomach, but if Lyra hadn't said anything, then neither would Freyja. She knew her mother well, and knew that it was likely her mother was enjoying having something to care for all on her own for a while - Freyja understood well, as she had her own share of secrets from her family, and one as observant as she had always been knew what secrets looked like. So, Freyja moved on with her days. If her mother had something to tell her, then she would eventually. Besides - Freyja had her own issues to deal with. She stretched out and rose from her position, shaking her fur out roughly.
Speaking of issues, one quickly showed itself as Freyja began to move about. A growling in her stomach caught her attention, and she decided that she could do with a quick meal before going about her day. After all, how could she become Queen if she starved herself to death? No, that wouldn't do. Freyja would eat, and then set about helping her father with the Yuletide Moon preparations. Perhaps she would see what young Stelo was up to. The young tom had grown on Freyja quickly, and the loss of his parents had caused him not to trust quickly. As such, his fondness for the young Heiress did not go unnoticed, and soon he became like a little brother to the Saptarishi princess.
"Good morning, father. How did you sleep??" Freyja padded up to her father's side quietly, speaking softly so that those around them might have a few more minutes of peace. Perhaps he would take her on patrol with him today. It had been a few days since they hunted together, and she had always been fond of spending time with her father.
{{ so i was wondering about an idea i had - it mentions that the most common reason for summoning is battle, but i was thinking, perhaps freyja summons Draco for more than just battle. i think she would be the type to summon Draco for logic and reason, as a sort of help for making tough decisions. she would depend on Draco to help her make the right choice, bc she wants to be the best Queen she can when the time comes. does that sound alright to you? that would be her secret for now, that she talks to Draco often, probably ꮯꮋꮻꮯꮻꮮꭺꭲꭼ • ꮯꭹꭺ🇳ꮖꭰꭼ }}

Woken rather promptly by the absence of her mates warmth at her flank, the beautiful silver queen lifted her head. A yawn petting her jaws as she woke, she instinctively looked to the nests of her two daughters but found only Aeylrue contently dozing. Lyra purred softly at this, but decided not to wake her just yet. Her sleep was peaceful, and there would be plenty left to do by the time her youngest daughter rose. Instead lifting herself onto elegant paws, the round of her stomach only just visible to those who took the time to look but was yet to be too obvious; helped by her naturally more slender figure and increasing skinniness thanks to the onslaught of leaf are. With any luck the secret would continue to be hers for a little while, not wanting rumors to spread before she could tell her family of her own accord. In truth she should have guessed her daughter’s suspicions, Freyja had been born observant like her father and the smaller things tended not to go amused by the grey princess. But still her two daughters were young, barely surpassing the age at which Lyra had bared them, and both still had much to learn. Speaking of her daughters, Lyra caught sight of the eldest approaching the king. Moving quietly, careful to pick her way through nearby nests as not to inadvertently wake anyone up. She dipped her head to the king and princess in greeting. Allowing them their pleasantries before greeting them properly herself. Rubbing her head across Gallius’ chin as she circled him once before pausing at his side, “Good morning,” her purr was light with affection, but underlined with a tired tone that indicated last night she had barely slept. Turning her attention to the princess, she embraced Freyja in a similarly fond manner, pausing only to pull a burr from between the grey cats shoulders. “And good morning to you too, Little Mouse,” she added with a chuckle. Wrapping her tail around her slender frame and sitting down. “Did you both sleep well?” As the slender warrior settled down beside her mate and eldest daughter, shifting renewed embarked inside her withers. The slight wriggle that made Lyra's heart race with a mixture of excitement and anticipation. Shifting her weight from one side to the other, in an attempt to hide both her discomfort and the slight flutter it caused on her lean belly. The Queen ignored it, and only hoped her mate and kit would fail to notice. The roundness barely noticeable, but Lyra knew both of the cats before her were observant by nature.
