Imagine this-
You are a young cat born amongst the wild, raised under your mother's tired body as she ponders where your small group has wandered off to. In the dead of night, you awaken to find a cat with fur milky white, covered in dew sparkling like an endless cove of stars standing before you. "Go back home. The lake is safe once more." they moan, fading with each word escaping their motionless muzzle. And before you can ask what they mean, they are gone. You awake with your mother nowhere to be found and still confused about the dream, you venture in search of your group, your mother, but find yourself at a bound cliff. Before you is a mashed up mock of islands, and with their welcoming gleam from the sun, you decide to search the new territory.
It was the Lake. It is now the Isle of Stars.
Welcome to your Flooded Past.
Welcome to Flooded Past! An alternate sequel to Omen of The Stars and the special edition Bramblestar's Storm The flood had been followed very quickly by an earthquake. Forcing all former cats to flee in hopes of surviving the Dark Forest's last attempt to exacting their revenge amongst the four Lake Clans. Many moons have passed, and now only mere dreams and visions of old remain to pull the wilder kin back to their old homes.
What is to be expected of these new Clans? What is to be done when the Dark Forest try to make claim to the new warriors making their mark on history?
Best to find out.

THE CODE (More to be added over time) 1. A warrior must stand with their Clan to the end. To heavy burden, there is only so much you can do. Do not sacrifice yourself for small victories.
2. Prey is precious and is only killed to feed your Clan. Do not leave others to starve if any prey is leftover. 2a. The survival of other Clans is integral to yours as well, supporting those in need is not wasteful unless such offer is taken advantage of. Do not let them get lazy.
3. Fights are not permitted unless territory is compromised, prey is taken without permission, or restricted to apprentice practice. Fighting must only happen to protect and sustain.
4. Mates to other Clans are not uncommon, but kits of the queen must remain with her Clan unless wishing to live with their mate. 4a. Kits are not allowed to leave their mother’s Clan until they are old enough to sustain themselves other from their mother’s milk. 4b. Unless the queen dies, the kits will still remain in their mother’s Clan with another queen. If the queen was the only one in the Nursery, then the kits will be taken to their father’s Clan where another queen will raise them.
5. Gatherings are a time of peace. No fights must occur as this is a time for expressing concern for all Clans. 5a. A leader can only demote themselves at this time and assume leadership to their deputy. This will only occur when they wish to leave the Clan or join the elder’s den. 5b. Kits are not allowed to attend unless they are in need of a queen to care for them in their early age. 5ba. Queens of other Clans are welcome to live in the kit’s Clan if said Clan wishes the kit to remain in theirs. 5bb. Kits must go to the foster queen’s Clan if she has already kitted.
MEDICINE CAT CODE 1. A medicine cat is only accepted as one when they are given a sign from Starclan. Whether or not the cat solely believes in StarClan, a sign is not granted to them directly but to the leader or a senior medicine cat.
2. Medicine cats are not permitted to have mates unless another fully trained cat is able to continue their duty while they raise kits. 2a. This code mainly applies to queens, as they are given at most ten moons before required back in the medicine den.
3. A medicine cat must not outright kill a patient. But no herbs are to be wasted on a cat already dying.
4. Medicine cats are to introduce kits to the medicine den and teach them the basics for the benefit of Clan. Even if a kit trains to be a warrior, they can still attend the medicine den at their own time to learn more.

Naming rule
1. The names that are presented are for an AU, of which new Clans are being made and the originals are being rebuilt.
2. The cats in these Clans are from all sides of the Lake Territory and more. Warrior descendants, Kittypets, Loners, Rogues, Nomadic cats, etc. They come from all sorts of backgrounds that change up the warrior code in ways.
and 3. Cats six moons and under (apprentices and kits) are no longer held by the -Kit or -Paw suffix that the Clans used to have. They are given one-word names as a kit and granted a prefix or suffix when they are warriors. For ex. A kit named Doe completes their training and is given their warrior name. This name can be as simple as Doe Fur or be Doe Spot, Doe Tail, maybe Doe Dapple. Or they can be named Silver Doe, Tiny Doe, Brawny Doe, or Sunny Doe.
Cats that are given full warrior names will have their original suffix bolded. Like Doe example above.
Leaders of the Clans do not have the Star suffix added to their name. In most cases, they are still referred to their name (Heart Chest, Terra Twinkle, Drizzle Wing) but to differentiate the leader in front of other Clans, they are called “Star” at the introduction and then their name. Ex. “Star,” Tiger Patch bowed his head to Heart Chest as the munchkin leader brushed his cheek with her tail. “Heart Chest, this is the ThunderClan patrol that wished to speak to you.”

The founder of this Clan is Heart Chest, a queen born far from the broken Lake Territory and among a rogue group known as the Grove. A small abandoned winery where the cats slept in broken open casks and trekked long groves of overgrown grape trees. Heart Chest was originally named Hearty, a small kit who dreams were flooded by the lingering spirits of StarClan. Over time she's grown more and more restless, drawing herself farther to the edge of the Grove in search for answers in the former leaders of Mistystar and Blackstar. The two leaders seemingly having clashed when in search for their lost descendants.
She eventually left her family and traveled to the former Lake now Island Territory. Stopping by a corner of former WindClan territory to temporarily seek refuge with a tom named Monster Owl. As moons passed, Hearty had eventually again left and explored the Islands to find her Clan a suitable home.
She decided on a waterlogged island full of frogs and waterfowl and named the Clan after her grandmother Swamptip, an old queen that told her stories of the Clan with her grandfather Speech Spell. The two would always joke about having to figure out which one would die first, and in turn, have something named after them. Of which Hearty took their joking and named the Clan SwampClan. Afterward, she looked about for cats to join her, gaining the name Heart Chest after her trusted Senior Medicine Cat, River Glare, noted how she had her heart bared as StarClan promised.

This sounds interesting. May I ask how old each clan is meant to be (in moons) or generations, and if there's any traits certain clans are seeking in any incoming outsiders? Plus maybe the old lake territory map with new boundaries drawn on, or descriptions of the new territories after flooding and earthquake? I'd be interesting in helping out with keeping plot moving. I'm disabled and currently mostly a homebody, but I love writing. So I'm pretty active as I'm trying to better my writing skills to potentially make that into a job down the road. I even have a short story published, so I'm pretty literate lol. I'm not great with coding anymore though so I don't know how to help with banners and so on. I could possibly color lineart for important cats in the Clans though.

Each clan is only about 2-3 gens in, as they're new to the territory. SwampClan are ones focused on a mix, as they are first non-canon Clan and are mainly there because Heart Chest had settled for neither River nor Shadow leadership. While the other four major Clans still focus on their main traits (Speed, Swimming, Strength, Stealth). But there will be more Clans to come over time. These are only the major five. Also, I do have a map! It's a bit dated as I color coded each island but it still the same despite it needing a more detailed, depth map. -Green-White is EbbingClan -Dark Blue is RainbowClan -Yellow is StormClan -Purple is FallowClan -Orange is SwampClan Flooded Past AU overhead map

Thanks for the details! Also sorry, I had a migraine and had to sleep. That's all really useful to know though.
If I may ask, who else is playing these cats, or are some meant to be adoptable or shared NPCs? Also please let me know how I can help. I've got quite a few charries I could sort into clans with the new naming system. ^^

All these characters are of my own creations and solely made straight from me. Name choices sometimes are few and sparse but I do have one friend that assists me in choosing some names like Thistle Pitch and Speckled Snout.
This is mainly an AU still in the works. If people are interested, then I would love to share these characters with others to help expand their character beyond my own Clan (surprise surprise it's SwampClan).
But otherwise, this is a roster for a Gen 1 Warriors fan series.

Ooooh. So this is less a fan clan planning page and more a fanfiction planning page? If so, I'd still love to follow your story. ^^ It sounds neat.

In a way, yeah it kinda is. SwampClan is specifically mine but I don't want to steer others away from moving onto the Island Territory. And as a working AU, there is going to be major changes that I've already been working on. Such as new Clans, writing up island descriptions (in twoleg talk), and working on possible intros for open rp group interested in populating this fan territory. As to why the map right now is very sparse. To allow new Clans to move in and claim an Island/Isle for themselves. Any others that want to move into the already existing four (five) Clans and even shift around allegiances if asked.

That all sounds really neat. Good luck! Personally I'd love getting involved with former Shadowclan/Fallowclan and former Riverclan/Fallclan because it seems their traits would be particularly useful in swampy, riparian former-lake islands.

And the Clan Alligences listed as of now are only canon to one book. I am only writing one book, of which only SwampClan is going to be the main focus. Everything else will be purely free for RP groups to change with the rest of the four main Clans and new Clans added afterwards.

Also I'm working on a fan clan/fan story right now, part of my NaNo fluffing. I decided to actually make up a post for the planning pages too. No pressure to go look or help or anything, as I'll keep helping here regardless if I can, but if you'd like to, I'd be grateful.

Then maybe I could help with FallowClan and FallClan, in creating the RP groups for them? I'm really useless at making banners and all, but I'm active and handle a joining page, making allegiances, updating weather/climate, history, and plot points. It's funny but I haven't actually read Bramblestar's Storm yet, but I hope that won't be a problem. I read the first two arcs, some of the third and fourth, and some special editions, but haven't quite gotten caught up completely.

AAAAA Totally! Having a helping hand on this will help! As I have in the past failed at starting rp groups. ; w; Plus help with creating the islands' climate and the system will be much appreciated as honestly, there is no telling honey many more Clans will take up the island territory. And the map might even have to expand or shift because of it. Also, Bramblestar's Storm was like the last special Edition in series order that I've read before taking a break. The only others I've read to get back on track are Crowfeather and Hawkwing's Special Editions. And I've failed to read the newest arc because I was distracted with IRL before my local library demanded the books back. So, weh ; w;

Oh you're quite welcome. Also sorry for any delays. Our power kept going out earlier and now my WiFi is super slow. Who even knows? Technology is confusing.
Great! ^^ I love helping with that. I imagine now the River and Shadow herbs and prey are more important too, so I'll have to look into that. But we could expect things like most cats needing to be capable of swimming and fishing, not worrying about getting their paws wet or muddy, more frogs and water birds, lots of reeds and cattails, and similar. Some trees, like willows, tend to prefer to grow along water too. Probably a Bengal ancestor to the River/Fall cats would be cool, since Bengals like water and are better swimmers than most cats.
Oh bummer. Yeah, I use the library too and right now I can't get ebooks for some reason. >> Gotta request some books and get that fixed lol.

Quite brilliant! And it'd make sense that most cats would be water-centric. And there are trees I've had in mind for the islands! But the kitties- oh gosh the kitties ' w'. I have literally everything from Sphinxes, Munchkins, Norwegian Forest cats, Main Coons, etc. And somehow my dumb brain totally overlooked Bengals!
But uh, yeah! Swamp funny enough would have Swamp Cypress, River/Fall has River Birch, Wind/Ebbing have Willow, Shadow/Fallow is Popular, and Thunder/Storm is Alder!
Also I gotta maybe find another name for RiverClan since Fall and Fallow are really close and can easily be mistaken for one another...
Maybe Trickle? Or Rainbow?

Oh neat. I'm glad you're also a fan of trees lol. I have acreage and oh boy do I enjoy looking at the various trees and all we've got growing. So many colorful leaves right now and falling persimmons and nuts. But, yes. All the kittypet breeds introduced to the clans lol. I like that each clan has, like, their own clan tree. -makes them heraldry- Hmm. Trickle or Rainbow could work. Maybe words vaguely related to the water? Drizzle, Brook, Stream, Creek, Puddle... Idek. I'm going to have to go to bed. It's late here and my brain is no longer open for business.

And I'm gonna go off the deep end and rename FallClan to RainbowClan... or PrismClan.

Oh nice! I do hope you had fun over there.
So yes, River is now Rainbow.
and with the map, there's been the potential of adding four new Clans for the RP sections of Flooded Past.
BuckClan the clan of giants, cats of huge size are prominent to hunt down their natural prey of geese/swans and large rats. Leader - Buck Star
HickoryClan the clan of climbers, cats of massive paws destined to scaling the massive hills and trees of their island. Leader - Hickory Bite
WispClan the clan of travelers, these are nomadic cats that change their camp each season to assure the safest growth for their young. Leader - Wisp Spirit
and MonsterClan the clan of fighters, they pride themselves on inventing new moves, new plans, these warriors do not strike the same way twice. Leader - Monster Roar
