SN: Apollo Sun Plot/Prompt: 1.Troubled Heart/Random Plots Character's Name: Rebecca O'Connor Description: She is beautiful with luscious wavy red hair and glittering blue eyes. Many have complimented her beauty but she stays humble, she feels she is not as beautiful as the next girl, she normally wears tank tops and short shorts with flip flops (trying not to be seen as drop dead gorgeous). She has freckles all over her face and a crystal heart necklace made of Jade. Personality: She is very sweet, kind, loyal and humble. She believes beauty and love run beneath the surface and always tries her best to help anyone who needs it (this makes people compliment her which she dreads you know because humble and all). Her cheery attitude and bright smile can light up a room. Password: Midnight

(Sounds good to me.)
Winter stared out the window if his social worker's car as they drove through the city. How many times had he made this trip? Well, not this one specifically, but others like it. How many hours had he spent riding in this passenger seat, preparing himself for what was to come? After a while, the importance of the facts disappeared. Every family blurred together into one big hazy picture. When he was younger, he used to try to get out of this. Now, he had learned to save his breath. He had no say in where he was going or who he lived with. The only thing he was expected to do was shut up and go. Beside him, Tim, his said social Worker, was giving him a lecture about being on his best behavior. It was a speech he had heard many times before, so he didn't bother paying attention to it now. After the first few times of being reminded to be on his best behavior and not get into trouble, he could recite the lecture himself if he had the motivation to. "Jace, are you listening to me?" Tim asked. The boy next to him had gone too long without giving a smart remark or a grunt in reply to him, so he knew something was wrong. "What do you think?" Winter muttered in response. Tim sighed and fell silent. There was no use in trying to continue the conversation if he wasn't going to be listened to. The man didn't like this any more than the boy did. After months of failed foster homes, many due to Jace's own actions, he was beginning to worry he might not be able to find a proper home for him. He believed if he could just find a place he could tolerate, then maybe his attitude would change. Maybe Jace wouldn't be so against opening up to the foster parents. It was unlikely, but he refused to give up until the very end. Sooner or later, Jace would find a home. The conversation died off since it was clear it was unwelcome. It didn't matter anyway. He could see the house Jace was to be living in getting closer. Within five minutes, he turned into their driveway.

He could see the house Jace was to be living in getting closer. Within five minutes, he turned into their driveway. Rebecca was excited to meet her foster brother since her parents told her about it. As she stood in front of her full mirror she was looking to see what dress to wear, deciding on the mint green one was easy since mint green is her favorite color and should be everyone's.
Becca's mom, Molly called out to her. "Honey he's here!"
"I'll be down in a minute!" She called to her mother. After getting dressed and doing her makeup. The makeup was very light, basically unnoticable. Her heart was racing with anxiety and excitement, was she having a heart attack? Probably not but it sure felt like it. It wasn't long till she slid down the railing and hurried to the door that was open with her mother standing outside. "I'm here!" She gasped, obviously out of breath.

(I forgot this Rp profiles was a thing, and that I had one for him. XD)
As the car pulled to a stop in front of the house, Winter just stared at it. It was just a typical house to him, nothing fancy. With what he could see from the outside, he was already making assumptions of what the layout on the inside looked like. While he had no clue what that was, he was fairly confident that the placement of rooms would be predictable. As he watched, a woman stepped onto the porch, obviously waiting for them. His stomach twisted itself into an uncomfortable knot.
"Jace," Tim spoke, finally breaking the silence about them, "I know you're not excited about this, but these people are excited to have you. Believe it or not, I've had the pleasure to speak with the family. All of them are willing to bring you into their family as soon as you walk through that door. Can you at least promise me you'll try this time?"
Winter's gaze moved over to Tim, contemplating his answer. "What point is there? They're excited about the idea of helping some poor orphan. Eventually, the new will wear off, and I'll be right back at square one. So why should I?"
Tim sighed. His frame of mind wasn't healthy, but no matter what he did, he couldn't convince the boy to change it. It was one of the negative sides of growing up the way he did, the man knew that. There were countless children who thought the same as him and ended up getting into trouble later on in life. He was determined to let that happen with Jace. Shaking his head, the social worker opened his door and got out. For now, he'd leave the boy to sulk for a minute or two while he went to prepare the family. Walking up to the porch, he smiled at the mother-daughter pair. "Good morning," he called.

Beautiful she was always told, your smile must be as beautiful as you. No this isn't about her hatred for beauty right now, it was about her foster brother and his new life here. "I'm Rebecca but you can call me Becca." She said with a calm but happy voice.
"Becca give the poor man some space. He just had to drive all the way out here." Molly said sternly before smiling at Tim. "Tim isn't it?" The woman said as she put her hand out to shake.
Becca frowned at her mother for saying that. "I'm just trying to be nice. That's what I get for trying."

Tim laughed slightly at the girl's cheeriness. That was something Jace needed more of. Perhaps the girl would spread some to him while he was here. "It's good to meet you, Becca," he greeted, offering a hand to the girl for her to shake before doing the same with her mother. "That's right. It's good to see you again, Mrs. O'Connor. I know our last exchange hadn't been long, and I'm afraid I won't be able to stay but a moment today as well. But, I thought I'd come and see if there were any last minute questions you might have before I unleash Jace into your home." "None that I can think of. I will call if I have anything I need to know though." Molly said to Tim. "Becca why don't you go with Tim to get Jace?" Her mother offered.
"Sure!" Rebecca replied before looking at Tim. "That is if you don't mind." She asked while fixing her white sweater, the winter was not nice to her and she absolutely dreaded the cold. Her heart was hammering as she glanced to the car. It's been a month since she found out this day was coming and she had been excited every single day to meet her foster brother, maybe he felt the same to her? Or did he not know about her? Hmm...she'd find out.

Nodding, Tim gave another smile. "I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have," he told her. "I don't mind at all. It's Jace who might have a problem with it, but he's not here to protest." With that, he motioned for the girl to follow as he walked towards the car.
Winter watched the exchange with a scowl. They were too far away for any of their words to be heard through the car. Still, he didn't like the progression of it. The smiles were unmistakable, yet he couldn't tell if they were fake or genuine. No matter, it was all the same. They wouldn't be smiling for long. When Tim turned and began the short trek to the car, he noticed the girl was following. A low growl escaped. Great, it was bad enough he had to put up with Tim, but her as well?
Reaching the car, Tim tapped lightly on the passenger side window. He knew Jace knew why, but the boy was playing stubborn. He just stared out the windshield as if he had no idea the man was standing by the door. Tim resisted a sigh. Casually, he opened the door himself. "Jace, come on, time to go inside," he said, but still, the boy continued to ignore him. "Must we do this every time?"

Jace why don't you come inside and I'll make hot chocolate? It's pretty cold out." Her friendliness was her greatest flaw and maybe her greatest strength as well. Too friendly she'd been told before. How could one be too friendly? That idea is just absurd. "Or if you would prefer I could make tea or coffee as well?" There was obviously no way she was giving up, plus as her mother has said she can talk up a storm so big the world could end.

"Hot chocolate's your best bet," Tim offered, trying to keep the air light. Maybe the promise of the boy's favorite drink would help coax him out of the car himself. All it earned him was a glare and very unflattering remark that shouldn't be repeated. "Jace!" he promenaded. "That's enough. Get out of the car now."
Winter turned his head to look straight up at the man who had been the only constant in his life. With a defiant lift of his chin, he growled, "Make me." It was both a challenge and a silent plea for the man to reconsider. Underneath the anger and rebellion, a part of him just wanted the man to tell him, for once, that he didn't have to go through with it. But whether the man understood the hidden plea, he didn't give any indication.
Instead, Tim took up his challenge. As much as he hated to push Jace around, sometimes he just had to do it. Reaching in, the social worker grabbed him by the arm and pulled him up out of the seat.
Winter wasn't expecting him to do that. He just had time to grab the handle above the door to save himself from falling to the ground. He was bristling as he got to feet, glaring daggers at Tim.

Becca gasped as Tim pulled Jace out. "Please don't hurt him! I'm sure he would of come out of there sooner or later!" She yelped out as she touched Tim's shoulder, a sign of calming, actually she was told she was calming, and beautiful there was that horror as well. "Anyway. Jace it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Rebecca but you can just call me Becca." She said with a genuine smile. "I promise you my hot chocolate is the best you'll ever have. I make it from scratch entirely." She said with a lopsided grin. "Then again how else should it be done?"

"He's not hurt," Tim assured her. "Ticked off, but not hurt." He didn't let go of Jace's arm until he was sure the boy wouldn't dive back into the car. Pulling him away so he could close the door, he finally let him go so he could get his bags from the back seat.
While he did that, Winter turned his glower to the girl. He made a quick assessment of her. Yep, she was the first that needed to be knocked down a peg. Her grin rub him the wrong way. It was too bright, too wide. He hated it. His lips drew back in a feral motion, but whatever he had been about to say was cut off.
"You make one comment, and I will hurt you," Tim warned. He knew when the boy was about to fly into a cussing fit. Closing the back doors of the car he shoved the duffel bags into the boy's arms. "Behave," he ordered, fixing him with a stern look. One Jace could only hold for a couple of seconds before he had to look elsewhere. "Come on, it's far too cold to be standing out here all day."
