Alice blinked and tilted her head “huh, guess I never noticed that.” Because of her lack of involvement in many noticeable crimes, and the fact she didn't keep up with current events, the fact that more heroes seemed to be arrested than villains never dawned on her. It wasn't like she was completely unaware of what was going on, it was more like she was just disinterested in the subject. She shrugged “hard to get people to work together to do that, though. The government is good at deflecting blame so people end up fighting against each other. It's easier to lie than it is to pick a fight."

Desiree Rene Snow Daughter of Killer Frost
"That is true," Desiree mused. "Though I would not care for overthrowing the government either. Things are much easier the way it is, and I care not for controlling others. I just like my own freedom." She was happy with the way things were. She had a place to stay, food, money, and now diamonds. She could take without risk, she could kill without retaliation. She was freer than the heroes that tried to remain, with no consequences as long as she played smart. And smart was the way she played.

“Yeah, I wouldn't want to overthrow that stuff either” Alice stated “even if I could, I don't need that responsibility.” If she was allowed to go about her daily life without issues, then whoever was in charge didn't bother her. Plus, the subject of politics wasn't exactly something she could talk about. Deciding to change the subject, Alice looked at Desiree and asked “So, what exactly are you going to do with those diamonds? You're just going to keep them, right?”

Rose Stepping as lightly as she could, Rose made her way home. Looking around one last time, she went inside her and Arachne's hideout. "You're back early," Arachne said from behind a table full of epruvetes and little glass vials, filled with various acids and poisons. "It was a bad hunt. Not many apropriate victims," Rose sighed, took a pair of safety glasses and started tampering with some chemicals. "Besides, half way through I got a feeling that I'm being watched." "Haha, you're just being paranoid. And even if someone followed you, we can take care of them with what we have," grinned Arachne. That maybe true, but I have a bad feeling about this, thought Rose, glancing towards the door with unease.

Desiree Rene Snow Daughter of Killer Frost
"Most of them," Desiree replied. "Like the necklace would look stunning on me. The rest I'm selling. I know a few places that takes stolen goods, and I could always use money." She stole what she wanted, but she did buy what she needed. Food, rent, and the like she used regular money. No need to draw more attention by simply taking everything. Just because there were no heroes to stop her didn't mean that the government wouldn't give her trouble.

Alice gave her a brisk nod “Ah yeah, definitely.” She didn't have an idea on how she was going to sell the jewelry, but she figured she would find a solution to her problem eventually. Stealing wasn't something she did very often, and she'd never stolen something just to sell it. Oh well, first time for everything. Alice glanced to the side and up at the buildings before she recognised her apartment complex. “Oh good” she stated “I found home.”
