A classic sibling rivalry; Daffodilpaw, being very outgoing, popular, and always gets what they want, their littermate, Boragepaw, is their polar opposite. Boragepaw is anti-social, an outcast, and works hard to get to where they want to be. However, Boragepaw believes their mother, Sunglow, favored Daffodilpaw over them, causing a swarm of jealousy towards Daffodilpaw since kithood. Their father is no longer in the picture.
As apprentices, the littermates rarely speak. Tension is thick and the air is tense when the siblings are together. Will their continuous days of jealousy and hatred get the best of them or will something change the course of their actions?

alright, then i’ll take muse a.
should we start off as kits, apprentices, or warriors? also, i was thinking maybe muse a does something against the warrior code and muse b finds out about it and exposes their sibling in a sense.

daffodilpaw - 9 moons - apprentice
daffodilpaw is rather large for her age, thanks to being a full-bred Maine Coon. her fur is an unusual shade, however, being only a simple shade of cream. as expected for her breed, this molly has a long, thick coat with a plume of a tail. her ears end in tufts, adding to a lynx-like appearance. daffodilpaw's eye color never changed as she grew out of kithood, staying a striking bright blue. the apprentice's chest fur and paws are a few shades lighter than the rest of her pelt, as if she had been dipped in snow. this feline's angelic appearance matches her airy and optmistic attitude. she is a carefree feline, having not faced much strife growing up. this nonchalance daffodilpaw carries can easily come off as ignorance; which is a pretty accurate description. she seems to push aside anything serious; whether purposefully or not. it's unknown if she chooses to ignore these things (i.e. her sibling's growing bitterness) intentionally. besides being quite breezy, daffodilpaw is an extremely friendly molly. she tries her best to get along with everyone, no matter how vicious they are towards her. evidently, she is very pacifistic, preferring to settle disputes peaceful rather than fighting. given this characteristic, daffodilpaw dislikes many aspects of the warrior life but keeps quiet about this. she wouldn't want to cause any conflict. despite not entirely enjoying training, she enjoys being around other cats and loves bringing a smile to others' faces. sometimes she feels like she has to be an emotional support for everyone and can be an excellent shoulder to cry on, although she keeps her problems bottled up. she doesn't want to ruin the perfect image her mothers depicts her as. daffodilpaw was born to sunglow and lacking a father. growing up, daffodilpaw's mother seemed to favor her over her sibling. for awhile the molly didn't notice - she was frankly too young to understand. but as she became older and began learning more, daffodilpaw noticed a change in her littermate. she never really knew what to do about it; when she tried bringing it up with either of them, they would brush it off. daffodilpaw came to the conclusion she was only being dramatic and nothing was wrong. though she doubts her reasoning often, since her littermate has only grown worse.
we should probably make simpler forms for the mother, their mentors, the leader, etc. also, what clan would you want to do this in? or do you want to create our own?

Boragepaw - 9 moons - apprenticeLike any Maine Coon, Boragepaw is naturally large with soft, silky long-furred coat. His fur is rather pale in hue, appearing more cream or a very pale ginger to the naked eye. Somewhat darker mackerel tabby markings litter his pelt along with long tufts of fur that pop out of his ears. He has light green eyes and a bushy tail.
Boragepaw is anti-social, to be frank. He's a recluse and goes out of his way to make sure he doesn't have to interact with anyone beyond a certain point. However, as an apprentice, it's hard to avoid your mentor and other apprentices, so he's spent quite some time trying to find a way to keep limitations on his interactions with others. He's an outcast as well, seeing as Boragepaw believes that began at birth as his father was and is not present. He's a hard worker with a thick skull, but does his best to achieve what he sees as his. However, if his littermate, Daffodilpaw, gets something out of another's paws, jealousy and rage fuel him. It's wise to avoid him when he becomes a ball of fire.
Born to his mother, Sunglow with his littermate Daffodilpaw, Boragepaw didn't like the fact their family lacked a father. The dynamic was off for him in many ways, one being that his mother favored and tended to his sister over him as a kit. He doesn't share much of a bond with either of them since kithood as he pushed them out of his life as soon as he became an apprentice. Secretly, Boragepaw is desperate to know why his father left him alone with such a family that he believes treats him horribly and has casted him aside like a stranger.

Agreed! To me, it doesn't matter. We could create a clan that has a lot of Maine Coons or do a canon clan, one that we'd feel that they fit well in.

hmm... Seeing as Maine Coons are built for cold weather places, we could name a clan after that or would you rather stick with the average forest?

B O R A G E P A W . . }Another brisk yet sun-drenched day was tolling upon the cats of TundraClan. Boragepaw sat still, almost lifelessly outside of the apprentice's den which was built out of two heavy rocks, creating a tent of sorts over fluffy, sleepy cats. The tom's blank gaze met with the sun as its rays peeked out of the grey colored sky. It was only a matter of time until the sun could be fully seen. Deciding that lying around and doing nothing was of no help to him, the Maine Coon rose to his paws and shook out his thick coat before his gaze trailed in the direction of the warrior's den. Frostedwillow had just woken it seemed as she was holding a conversation with the clan's deputy, Gooseberry. Maybe a patrol would be ready soon and he could take a chance at being the first one on it. Of course that meant a warrior would have to tag along, but he would keep interaction to a minimum. So, with his hopes in mind, he trotted over to his older clanmates. As long as Daffodilpaw or Sunglow aren't tagging along, things should be fine, Boragepaw decided before coming to a halt not far from Frostedwillow and Gooseberry. The apprentice then decided to stand still in place until he found a moment suitable to approach the two. And so he lied in wait, his pale fur fluffing up as he flattened himself down.

Daffodilpaw || Sand || TundraClan Camp
Daffodilpaw's thick fur was fluffed up against the chilly wind stirring TundraClan out of their nests. Glancing at the sky, the molly observed it was clear, indicating another cold front had just blown through. The day before had been gloomy and drizzle as the temperature continued to drop. Such is the life of TundraClan cat, the apprentice mused while crouched near the fresh-kill pile. She hadn't eaten yet, waiting until her duties were done, but her stomach was rumbling. The Maine Coon was eager to get out of the camp and hunt, but Frostedwillow was occupied with Gooseberry. Not wanting to be rude, Daffodilpaw would wait for her mentor to finish her conversation.
As the molly's gaze traveled absently around the camp, her eyes landed on her brother, Boragepaw. Daffodilpaw stiffened before immediately looking away, not to stir up any awkward conversation. The two siblings had never been close, not even as kits. Their mother sort of prevented that, always doting over her she-kit and brushing her son off. Daffodilpaw didn't try to feed into Sunglow's affection for her, but it was hard to ignore her mother. She has been trying to become closer to her brother for awhile, but nothing was working. Eventually, she would give up, but that idea of losing her littermate scared her.
Across the camp, the cream-colored feline spotted Hollyshade emerge from the warriors' den. The large tom was obviously heading for Boragepaw; his piercing green eyes fixed on his apprentice. The warrior always intimidated Daffodilpaw and she almost felt bad for her brother. Hollyshade flicked his tail to alert Boragepaw, asking for his attention. Not wanting to draw attention to herself, Daffodilpaw's gaze drifted elsewhere. She spotted Webfur spreading herbs out on some rocks in front of his den, leaving them out to dry for the day. Heatherbreeze was chowing down on a mouse before she started her day. The molly's mother, Sunglow, was nowhere to be seen, most likely snoozing away in her nest.

B O R A G E P A W . . } camp . speaking to Hollyshade & spying on Daffodilpaw .Boragepaw grew easily impatient with waiting for Frostedwillow and Gooseberry, who were still talking about meaningless things, or so that's what he assumed. The young tom's gaze met his sister's similar pelt, but in his mind, the two couldn't be anything more than strangers. Daffodilpaw was not his littermate, sister, or denmate. His brooding gaze rested on the pale she-cat momentarily before he turned around, seeing that Frostedwillow was headed in Daffodilpaw's direction. If the white warrior was going to take his sister out on a patrol that meant... oh, StarClan, no. It was the last thing he had expected for the day and so was a flick of a dark tail, coming from a large tom. Rattled by Hollyshade's swift movement, the cream tabby tom felt a jolt go through his body. A grunt of discontent left the apprentice's maw as he turned to face his mentor. "There you are," he meowed flatly. In the meantime, Frostedwillow had padded up to Daffodilpaw and the apprentice could still see part of her white pelt in his peripheral. She could hear the loud she-cat asking the cream apprentice if she wanted to go on a patrol as she had ask Gooseberry if she could take the first one out for the day. The deputy had agreed, only if it was more than two cats. In his theory, that meant he, Hollyshade, Frostedwillow, and, dare he say it, Daffodilpaw were stuck together. "Got a clue of what's going on today, Hollyshade?" Boragepaw asked, pricking his ears up. If Frostedwillow's thundering meows haven't given him a clue, I wouldn't be surprised. Hollyshade may be powerful for his size, but that doesn't make him a smart cat by all means.Meanwhile, not too far away was Frostedwillow, proposing ideas for his sister. "So, Daffodilpaw. Would you rather hunt, train, or mark the borders today?" the white feline asked her apprentice, bouncing on her paws. "Whichever you pick, we'll have to bring others along with us, so choose wisely!"

Daffodilpaw || Sand || TundraClan Camp
{ ooc ;; sorry for never replying and leaving you hanging! i'm going to reply to this and see if you want to continue this; if you don't, that's totally fine i don't expect you to since it's been a few months. }
Looking past her mentor that was now approaching, Daffodilpaw was able to see Hollyshade's stoic expression become annoyed as soon as Boragepaw opened his mouth. The molly couldn't help but be amused at this; her brother had the ability to peeve almost anybody. Glancing back to Frostwillow, the apprentice observed the white feline's energetic appearance and guessed that she was eager to get the day started. She contemplated the options her instructor was giving her for a moment, rereading the imaginary list a couple more times until deciding on training, which she hadn't participated in for some time. Given the chilly weather, Daffodilpaw assumed it would get their blood pumping and bodies warm faster.
"I'd prefer training today, if that's alright with you," the pale-furred molly answered finally, squinting as another strong gust buffeted her face. Her ears pricked as a familiar, deep voice was carried along the breeze; Hollyshade was discussing with Boragepaw on what they were to do today.
Dark ears twitching with an unmasked annoyance, Hollyshade rumbled, "I was thinking of taking you to practice hunting..," he began before pausing for dramatic effect. "...but since Frostwillow is taking Daffodilpaw out, we'll be joining them." It was also because of the strong winds and the chance of prey being lower than normal, but the large tom wanted to make it seem less enjoyable for his apprentice. He knew of the tom's distaste in joining others in completing tasks.

. B O R A G E P A W . with Hollyshade, Daffodilpaw & Frostedwillow . . tundraclan camp
Boragepaw knew very well that Hollyshade was annoyed with him which meant there was bad news. He was sure that his mentor would punish him somehow, but the moment he heard him announce his former plan for the day... all hope was lost. His pale green eyes lingered on Hollyshade's sharp gaze before resting on Daffodilpaw's large frame. If they weren't then he was stuck with his sister and her mentor, Frostedwillow. His mouth was agape, fury spreading throughout his body like a wildfire. He was tempted to give Hollyshade a snappy comeback, but knowing how his last response went, it wasn't a great idea.
But he was going to do it anyways. There wasn't much room for things to get worse.
"You know, Hollyshade, the weather seems fine for hunting besides the wind, of course," he meowed observantly, the wind battering his fur relentlessly. "Not every training session has to be done with two apprentices and their mentors. But, hear me out and let me know if I'm right. I think you're upset and you'd rather see me burn than do something much more productive."
- - -
Frostedwillow's pure white coat was cuffed by the wind each time it blew in her direction. She snorted, slightly annoyed by the windy weather that had been brought upon them today. It didn't make a good experience for any type of training in her opinion, but lying in camp and doing nothing would be frowned upon. She shook her head before reminding herself that Daffodilpaw should be receiving every bit of her attention instead of her senseless thought and Hollyshade's conversation with Boragepaw. It was hard to not hear the two, considering that they were having a blunt discussion, or a disagreement of sorts. The long-furred she-cat held back a snort when she heard Hollyshade mention that he wasn't going to the young tom on a hunt and they were instead going to join their training session. Suits him right, she thought before responding to her apprentice.
"Sounds like a plan! Let's grab Hollyshade and Boragepaw so we can get a move on," she announced, flicking her tail in the pale apprentice's direction and leading her over to the two toms. "Battle training, anyone? It's best we hurry along so we don't spend the rest of our day in camp. The wind is picking up and it's a menace to deal with, especially while training."
