I have a new character that I've been dying to role-play more so I can get to know him better and develop his character. He's an Angel, and I have two separate plot ideas for him set in alternate universes. In one, he's a Guardian Angel, tasked with protecting Descendants (children of Angels) from demons. in the modern world. In the other, he's a Fallen Angel, travelling across the countryside slaying demons in a more historic era. I only have a basic outline for each plot, so feel free to give suggestions and help me brainstorm ways to add depth to them and/or make them more interesting/suited to your likes. :3
A couple quick facts about me:
And without further ado, here is my Angel:
Renegade, “Ren” | age unknown (looks 16-22) | Pansexual | Angel
Ren is a centuries old heavenly being who looks like a rebellious teenager. He could pass as a sixteen-year-old to a young man in his early twenties. He tends to look boyish with his golden hair hanging around his head in messy waves, but his tall, lean physique leads people to assume he's older. Ren isn't large, but it's clear he's fit and muscular, with broad shoulders, defined pecs and abs, and a narrow waist. The best part is, he doesn't even need to work to look perfect; as an Angel, he simply is perfect—physically, at least. But Ren isn't one to sit around idly. He may not work to keep his body in shape, but he does do things that are physically demanding. Unlike the rest of his brethren, Ren keeps his hair short, though that doesn't stop it from constantly falling into his eyes. It is thick and wavy, and a bright shade of gold interlaced with a few bronze strands that really stand out when the sun hits them just right. His eyes are a bright and captivating amber, surrounded by long, dark lashes. Ren’s wings, which he can keep visible or vanish with a thought, are large and feathered. They’re bronze in colour, and shot through with streaks of bright gold—the opposite of his hair. Each individual feather is also dipped in amber, a darker shade than that of his eyes that sometimes looks reddish in certain lights. (The Fallen version can no longer summon his wings.)
Renegade is a willful being. He lives his life with the belief that if he can think it, he can do it. He doesn't let anyone or anything stop him, and he could care less about the opinions of others and what the laws of physics have to say about what is and isn't possible. He's beyond stubborn, with a no-quit attitude about literally everything. He's clever and witty, with a sharp tongue and a sharper temper. He possesses a confidence bordering on arrogance, his charm and charisma often draws others to him, and he uses sarcasm with the same skill and precision as if it were just another weapon in his arsenal. He is afraid of nothing. Even when he feels fear, he does not let it stop him from acting. Ren is genuine and real. He doesn’t beat around the bush or sugarcoat anything. He doesn’t try to hide who he is or how he feels. If he thinks it, he says it. If he feels it, he expresses it. If he believes in it, he fights for it. He has a protective streak a mile wide, and he isn't afraid to show it. He is brutally blunt, and he won’t tell you a lie. Ren is who is who he is, and he isn’t interested in changing for anyone. He can be rebellious and rather unorthodox, and he isn’t one to obey orders blindly. He believes that trust and respect are earned, not given, and until his has been won, he can be quite prickly and uncooperative. To those who have earned his trust and respect, however, Ren is kind, true, and loyal to a fault. With them, he can always be counted on.
Here are the plots that I have. I will allow one duplicate for each, and again, if you have your own angel/demon plot you'd like to use, or any kind of supernatural plot where Ren would fit, feel free to share it with me. I'm open to all ideas. ;D Also, you're more than welcome to role-play more than one character within the plot if you think it'll make things better/more interesting/fun/dramatic/whatever. ;3
Guardian Angel = c l a i m e d
Ren is not your average Guardian Angel. He’s rebellious, unorthodox, and refuses to take his job seriously. He has been reassigned many times over the course of his immortal life after one too many losses of the one he is meant to protect. His superior has finally had enough, and places Ren under probation. He is given a new charge and told that if he doesn’t do his job properly and they die, no one will step in to help this time. And if Ren’s charge dies, he will be cast from the Angels and sent into purgatory—an angel’s worst fear.
[your character] is an ordinary human—or so they've always believed. Until the day a demon attacks and they are saved by a beautiful boy with wings. Turns out, [character] isn’t normal at all. They're a Descendent, a child of angels whose blood has been diluted throughout the generations, but still has incredible power within—a power than demons crave above all else. Most Descendants cannot access their power, and thus are vulnerable to the demons who hunt them. Their only defense is the Guardian sent to protect them—a Guardian they are not meant to know exists. They are not meant to know of their heritage, either. But [character]’s new Guardian is Ren, and he’s already breaking the rules—again.
It soon becomes clear that [character] is no ordinary Descendent. They can access the power in their blood—a feat that should be impossible. But mere access to raw power is not enough to protect them. Ren has to do his job and find a way to protect his charge, both from the demons who seek them—and from the power in their blood that threatens to consume them. To make matters worse, by breaking the rules and revealing himself to [character], Ren has left himself vulnerable to emotions—a mistake that may prove fatal.
Fallen Angel = c l a i m e d
In this universe, Ren has run out of second chances. He's been stripped of his wings and fallen to earth, where he lives as something only a little more than human. After decades of living on earth, Ren has created somewhat of a name for himself. Humans know him as an assassin for hire, a spy, a thief—and a saviour to all who need one. His name is also whispered in fear among the demons in the region, for no one, human or angel, is as good as Renegade at slaying demons.
[your character] is a human living as a slave to one of the wealthiest families in the region. Despite dreams of a better life, they are powerless to escape their fate. Raised in this life, they know no other way—until they meet Renegade. [character] is at the market, selling their master's wares when Ren stops at their stall. The conversation is brief, but Ren is able to paint a picture for [character] of another way of life, somewhere safe from anything resembling a "master." [character] just needs to summon the courage to pursue it.
On their way home from the market that evening, [character] is attacked by a group of bandits. Only Ren's sudden reappearance saves them. It soon becomes clear that Ren is no ordinary human. He's faster, stronger, and deadlier. [character] suddenly has doubts about his intentions and whether they are truly good. But Ren is no longer giving them a choice when it comes to changing their life. Ren all but takes [character] prisoner, and though he claims he means them no harm, it's clear he's keeping secrets—about himself, about his goals, and about [character].
Guardian Duplicate = c l a i m e d
Fallen Duplicate = o p e n
If angels and demons interest you but not the plots I have, then we can make up our own if you'd like! Some pairing ideas (they don't necessarily have to be romantic pairings) are as follows:
A couple quick facts about me:
- I'm very literate, but I don't always post super big responses. I do try to keep a minimum of 3-5 sentences, though. Most of the time I try to match post sizes; if you post bigger, I'm likely to do the same, but this is not a guarantee.
- I'm usually pretty active, but I do have work, horseback riding, and two puppies to occupy my time as well. I'll try to post at least once a day, but I apologize in advance if I fail to do so for a day or two.
- I like to get to know my role-play partners OOC. You don't have to go telling me all your secrets or your life story, but chatting with me OOC will make me more comfortable role-playing with you. c:
