i don't mind at all! i don't have a good rp layout yet, though, so you'll have to get comfy with this LOL owlpaw -- skyclan territory
Hunger, even now, was at the forefront of her mind. Hunger kept them all sharp, especially because none of them ever had quite enough to eat, but it didn't mean that she had to like it. Prey was even scarcer lately, and it had all been going to Larkwind to feed her kits. They were all thin, now. Even Nettlestar, who had seemed to catch a second wind lately. Stick-thin, compared to the other clans, but that was the usual.
SkyClan, so small compared to the others, only making up for it with bitter ferocity and tight bonds. SkyClan, the one that the other clans all sneered at.
Her tiny body vibrated, even as they walked through their small territory, with anger.
"None of the other Clans are even helping us," she muttered to Cloverpaw as they followed behind the few cats from the Clan that were also going. Half coming, half not. "I just- they talk about how great everything'll be once their journeying cats come back, and now they have, and they'll be so smug, Cloverpaw. They're still eating sort-of regular meals." Ever bitter, Owlpaw was. "They'll all look at Sunstrike like she's foxdung and just- I want to claw them whenever they do that!"

Cloverpaw ;; { ascendant 's owlpaw - gathering }
Unlike her sister beside her, Cloverpaw was feeling excited. Gatherings had always been her favorite event ever since she became an apprentice; she loved being able to hear from the other Clans and how their lives were going. Within SkyClan's territory, the tabby molly was always feeling trapped and unexcited, left to wonder about what was going on across the border until the Full Moon came around. She disliked how adamant Nettlestar was about SkyClan loyalty; it only served as a damper on the young cat's fun.
As her gaze traveled around curiously, Cloverpaw's eyes landed on Owlpaw. She blinked in surprise to find her littermate was shaking, with an almost frightening look in her eyes. She has never really seen Owlpaw speak so venomously of others before and was taken aback. "Well, Owlpaw, they're not really obligated to," retorted the molly, green eyes wide. No matter how interested Cloverpaw as in the other clans, she knew just as well as anyone the other clans didn't have to help if they didn't want to. It wasn't their problem. The small feline let out a snort at her sister's next accusation, finding her anger rather amusing. "Who cares what they think of Sunstrike? It's their opinion - they're allowed to have one." Cloverpaw hesitated before continuing her sentence, knowing what she was going to say wasn't going to please her sibling. "Honestly, I don't blame them. If I were Sunstrike, I would've gone with the Journey Cats." The brown tabby kept her mew low; she knew if anyone else heard her, she would be in trouble again. The times Cloverpaw got in trouble for her mouth were numerous and still growing.
( sorry for the late response; today was busy. i don't have a layout either rn; this is the best i've got for now lol )

sorry for me, too; haven't been able to access my computer much lately, and can't do so this evening either owlpaw -- { 𝓹𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓵𝔂 𝓬𝓵𝓸𝓾𝓭𝔂 's cloverpaw ; skyclan territory }
Cloverpaw's words made her want to growl, want to pace, but they had to keep up with the warriors as they headed towards the gathering. They were starving, trying to claw out a living as the twolegs expanded their own territory, but none of the other clans seemed to notice or care. Her littermate thought that wasn't a bad thing, and just- StarClan, she wished that she could knock some sense into her sister's mind. It was infuriating.
They had still been kits when the Journey Cats went on their way- three moons, close to an apprenticeship for SkyClan (even if they didn't announce to the other clans until 6 moons)- but she still remembered how angry the clan had been that Sunstrike had even been asked. They would have starved, had they not had an extra cat to obtain prey. And Cloverpaw would have gone with them? A growl came out of her at this point, claws sinking into the ground as they carried on. "We would've died if a cat had gone," she muttered, forcing herself to calm a bit as they finally got to Fourtrees. Three of the other four clans were already there; apparently, ThunderClan thought itself too good to arrive promptly. "...Whatever. Hopefully Nettlestar yells at the others, or something like that. Not like they'll care."

Cloverpaw ;; { ascendant - gathering }
Annoyance was beginning to replace joy inside of the tabby apprentice. She should've kept her mouth shut - now her normally tranquil sister was about boiling over with anger. Cloverpaw knew how much Owlpaw despised the other Clans, how much she agreed with Nettlestar's constant griping towards the other four groups. She could tell by the way her littermate's muscled were tensed that if they weren't on the way to the Gathering, Owlpaw would've tried attacking her for saying anything she disagreed with. "Sorry for having my own opinion on things!" Cloverpaw's tone was cutting, vaguely accusing the other apprentice for always going on with what the rest of her clan members believed. Sometimes she wished Owlpaw would be able to see past what others said and see what she saw.
"One cat leaving would result in a whole clan's demise?" The young feline huffed with amusement. "If anything, it would've given us one less mouth to feed." Yes, even Cloverpaw knew of the starvation SkyClan was facing. It would be foolish of her to pretend that issue didn't exist; most nights she went to sleep hungry. Honestly, she didn't mind as much as others might, but was aware of how it was affecting everyone. Tensions within and outside of the camp were higher than ever and Nettlestar often ranted about the wrong doings of the other Clans... especially at Gatherings.
Cloverpaw rolled her eyes at Owlpaw's last statement, opening her mouth to make another remark before thinking better of it. Arguing was foolish, especially now. They could still get sent right back to camp if they drew more attention to their bickering.
. . .
( no worries! i'll be spotty over this weekend but i'll try replying when possible. )

owlpaw -- { 𝓹𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓵𝔂 𝓬𝓵𝓸𝓾𝓭𝔂 ; gathering }
Owlpaw could only narrow her eyes at Cloverpaw before they got to Fourtrees, anger bubbling beneath her fur being pushed down to where she couldn't access it to speak. It wouldn't do to be ready to fight her littermate in front of the other Clans; what mattered was that they were unified, and that Owlpaw didn't embarrass herself and get sent back to camp. Arguing would just be bad for the both of them.
After a few beats of silence, letting the chatter of the other clans wash over them, she glanced at Cloverpaw quietly. "Sorry," she muttered, paws shuffling as SkyClan came to a stop. "I'm just-" I'm just more short-tempered lately, she was going to say, but Cloverpaw would know. Littermates were like that.
As Nettlestar, Birchwhisper, and Wrenleaf went up to meet the cats from the other clans, the SkyClan cats kept close together. It made Owlpaw more comfortable, although it was debatable if the same was for her sister. Right next to them, Sunstrike was laughing with Dustmask, Sparrowflight and Ivythroat conversing nearby. It was enough to feel comfortable, but just glancing at the other Clans...they all had so many more cats. Apprentices from RiverClan were staring at them and talking- young enough to have just been made apprentices, it seemed like.
"And there's ThunderClan," Dustmask murmured from nearby, an annoyed flick of his tail the only sign of negativity. "The last one here, like always."
Owlpaw just wanted to go home. The gathering didn't matter to her. Each second the clans spent chatting around was another moment spent not sleeping.

Cloverpaw ;; { ascendant's Owlpaw - gathering }
Cloverpaw rested her tail on her sister's back assuredly, silently telling her she understood her sister's frustration. She wasn't daft - she did understand why most of SkyClan despised the other Clans. Though fascinating, they did pose as an annoyance for them as a Clan. The molly recalled the countless times patrols had gotten into disputes with ThunderClan warriors. Cloverpaw had come to the conclusion that ThunderClan was her least favorite, especially when their apprentices poked fun at them.
The young feline's gaze traveled up, taking in her surroundings. The mass of cats was only growing as SkyClan and eventually ThunderClan arrived. Cloverpaw observed how puny their cluster of cats looked compared to the groups formed by the other clans. A small frown formed on her muzzle before her head swiveled back up to the face the leaders, who were all gathering at the top of the Great Rock. Galestar, Otterstar, and Dappledstar had already been up there before anyone, moving aside for Nettlestar and later Fallowstar. Dappledstar, the ShadowClan leader, gave the ThunderClan leader an arched brow before stepping to the very front.
"Cats of all Clans, welcome to the Gathering." The tortoiseshell's voice echoed through the space, drawing the attention of cats below. Waiting for the murmuring to cease, the she-cat opened her jaws to speak first. Cloverpaw's ears perked forward; she always found what ShadowClan had to report interesting.
( sorry for the delay; i was quite busy this weekend. would you like nettlestar to interrupt right here? )

owlpaw + others -- { 𝓹𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓵𝔂 𝓬𝓵𝓸𝓾𝓭𝔂 ; gathering }
Owlpaw could see Nettlestar's irritated twitch of the ear, his tail lashing from where he sat. He snorted as Dappledstar started to speak, but generally left her in peace. Two new warriors, one new apprentice, prey scarce; nothing that they didn't know already, nothing that they couldn't tell on their own. She was getting restless. Nettlestar looked restless. And then Fallowstar had to open her mouth.
"It is time to leave this place," she proclaimed loudly, causing a ripple of whispers to pass through the cats on the ground. "The journeying cats have come home, and they have found a new place for us to stay- all of us, with plenty of prey and suitable camps!"
Nettlestar seemed to have energy crawling underneath his fur as the clans grew louder, as a satisfied grin crossed the faces of the other leaders.
"All five of us will go-"
"SkyClan will not be accompanying this journey," Nettlestar spat loudly, glaring at the other leaders as they blinked wildly. "You do not speak for my clan. You do not speak for my cats. You mock us, belittle us, and while you have helped others in their times of need, my cats are starving worse than any in your clans. May StarClan frown upon your expedition!"
The murmuring of the other clans reached a pitch even as the SkyClan cats processed the information, backing up into a tighter group at the sudden hissing from the other clans. "Where will we go?" Owlpaw's voice was quiet, body on edge as Birchwhisper and Wrenleaf quickly approached.
"We're going back to camp soon," Birchwhisper murmured softly. "Apparently, StarClan's told Nettlestar and Wrenleaf where our ancestors went when they split off. We'll have to make the same journey that they did." -- calamity
