Introduction...
Nature has often made a game of testing the limits of SpectreClan, seeing how far it can be pushed until it breaks. And whilst the Clan has often danced the line between ruin and thriving, it has yet to see the destruction the world around it would force upon it. It was our belief that just about everything possible had been thrown at us, but we soon learned the truth was anything but. And yet we still survived. Adaption was key to our survival, and that we did to the point of being unrecognisable compared to what we once were. Yet here we continue to be. For the first time in a long time, we have known peace and life promises to be happy once again. Kits have been born without fear of the unknown, elders can retire again and the weak are cared for and crafted into something both strong and loved. Life is better than it was for as long as anyone can remember. But it seems that it was never meant to last. And this time if the threat can't have us for its own, it will see us destroyed. Rules...
Forum Rules.
Any and all rules which are enforced by the forums are to be followed on this thread without exception.
Literacy.
One liners aren't going to cut it on this thread, the minimum literacy requirement for potential joiners is at minimum 5 lines per character per post. Unfortunately, if you feel unable to achieve this standard, I feel that this might not be the Clan for you. Where you intend to join as a character key to the plot or clan, please be able to succeed this.
Joining.
You have my gratitude for even taking the time to check out this little thread of mine, and should you wish to join. Please bare in mind these requests. Namely, that on initial joining, you do so with a minimum of two characters one of each gender, and should you wish to join as an apprentice you first create at least two cats of other ranks. For every three characters you create, please have one be an ally of the dark forest for drama purposes. So I know you have read my rules, please put The Aftermath somewhere in your form.
Characters. Despite our subject matter not always being the most realistic, I do ask that you install a reasonable degree of realism in the creation of your characters and how you roleplay them, i.e. no powers, no Mary Sue's, and no names that cats in this context would not know the meaning of, i.e. no Ipadfeather or Unicornwhisker. LGBT+ characters are quite welcome, however, please do not join as cats who are or who have backgrounds as rogues, kittypets or loners.
Realism.
Please remember to involve a reasonable degree of realism into how you roleplay your characters. By this I mean that you bare in mind the hostile environment in which you roleplay your characters. Cats die, get ill, fall out with friends, lose battles and miss hunt, and whilst I wont have you killing off every character left and right, please incorporate these things into your roleplay. Its much more fun to roleplay this way than having perfect characters!
Activity. Whilst all of us have lives, I ask that you be reasonable active for the purposes of helping the plot move at a fair pace. Hence, should you wish to join as a character key to the plot or the clan, I request you be on at least 5 days a week. Otherwise, three days a week is reasonable.
Bloodlines. The personal rule of mine, and whilst not one I will force, it is one that I ask you bare in mind. For the purposes of developing clan depth, where characters share traits with that of another member's cat, you see if they can be related to some extent, i.e. mother of, sister of, etc. Whilst I wont make you, I do ask that you don't join as members of your own family.
Drama.
My single favourite thing about roleplaying is the number of different plot threads one can come up with, and hence I encourage joiners to have as much fun as they would like whilst here in regards to joiners. The only thing I ask is that you don't allow it to conflict directly with the main plotline, and you involve as many others as you can! Joining Form...
Name, Here please write a description of your cat inclusive of both their appearance and personality, ensuring it is at least 6 lines long and involves both flaws and strengths. Screenname Rank Bloodlines and Relationships Other Joining Page

And infinite paths to choose, About the Clan...
In order to survive, adaptation to our surroundings was a necessity. Hence, the majority of our clan sport traits key to battle. Namely, the group is made up of large and muscular cats, built to be strong and skilled in battle rather than prioritising speed. In short, we an intimidating group of cats to someone on the outside looking in, and when you get to know the majority of us, it doesn't get all that much better. Rain and snow are a common feature of our homes, hence, the majority of our cats carry thick coats in order to best survive the cold weather. Our pads are thicker due to the rocky nature of much of our home. Due to the heavy foliage taking up much of our territory, in order to best blend in with the territory around us darker coloured pelts are common, such as shades of black, greys, browns and russets are a common sight for our cats generally with varying patterns as opposed to being solid in colour, thought hey are not unheard of. Forgive most of our cats if they come across as hostile, many of our members have fair reason to be. There was a time where most outsiders posed a threat, and as a result many of us are protective and untrusting of outsiders. But when it comes to one another, you will struggle to find a loyaler group of cats. Our ties to one another bind us tightly, and most would rather die than break them.
Territory... Making its home mostly in a large forest set on the backdrop of a sprawling moor around us, it is a cold and rainy place, isolated from most other things hence outsiders aren't common. But there is an air to the place that makes it seem ancient, like once upon a time there was something else, and there are ruins dotted about the place which would suggest such. Small brooks and streams intersperse our territory, providing fish, frogs and toads for those willing to get their paws wet. However, the vast majority of our prey comes in the form of a variety of birds, mice, voles, shrews and squirrels, as well as rabbits and hares from the surrounding moors. Ancient Paths. A variety of paths lacing the territory leading seemingly nowhere, but the paths are long worn down as though traipsed by hundreds of different peoples. Coward's Last Stand. The last stand of the initial rebellion, where Stormstar, at the time a warrior who had been stripped of her name and dubbed only Coward for refusing to follow the orders of her father, stood in her final battle against the dark forest, and by miracle alone some would claim was able to win. It is a simple open patch of moor, unnoticeable had it not been for the place's unfortunate history. Decayed Nests. One of the hints that this place was once inhabited by twolegs, it is a great set of twoleg inhabitants which have long been in disuse, and as a result are rather ruined in appearance. Endless Cavern. A set of tunnels running through the moors, it seems to be never ending mostly due to the fact no one has dared to try. From outer appearance, it appears to only be an abandoned rabbit warren. Four Creek Island. A small island at the centre of the place where four different creeks meet, a fallen tree gives cats access to the island. On which one can find the Starrose, from which the clan accesses StarClan in times of need. Northern Peak. One of the tallest parts of the territory, and named for the fact it is the most northern part of the territory. It is the best place to keep guard of the territory, especially due to the closeness of it to camp. Raven's Roost. Like the name would imply, it is a section of trees in which a great number of ravens make their nests, it is known for the incredible amount of noise the birds generate. Shattered Tree. During a thunderstorm one day, a lightning strike hit this tree, and left it appearing as though it was shattered, as there is a hole torn through its middle, making it seem like two trees.
Camp... Set on the foothills of Northern Peak, it is a simple camp but well sheltered due to being encircled by trees, making it rather safe from the rain and wind which often batter our territory. Leader's Den. Simplistic in nature, it is a small den found within a cavern deep within the hill itself. It is warm, and stands as a safe place for the clan when the weather makes going outside dangerous. Medicine Cat Den. The medicine cat, apprentice and any patients can be found within a simple den beneath the roots of a small sycamore tree, providing shelter for cats in need. Warrior's Den. Of course the largest of the dens in camp, it makes its home within a huge abandoned badger den within camp. It provides plenty of room for the clan's warriors. Apprentice's Den. Whilst small, it is cosy and provides a warm place for cats in training of the clan to sleep. It is found within a hollow tree stump, the ceiling of which is still in tact and entered through a hole in the side. Nursery. At the heart of the camp one can find the most important den in camp, the youngest members of the clan make their homes within a hollow tree trunk whose roots are still in tact and covered in moss on the inside. Elder's Den. For those who have retired from service as warriors or medicine cats, the den is a thicket picked of its brambles and prickles to create a comfortable den for the eldest of our clan.

If the stars guide your paws,
Traditions...
From the outside, most would consider the Clan to be the normal Clan, but its beliefs and systems differ from most. Spirits and ghosts take part in most of our day to day lives. They can be seen in most every part of our territory, though camp is a more unusual viewing point. They are there to guide our cats, and are simply apparitions from StarClan, and they are by no means permanently on the territory. They are usually a good sign, and take on the appearance of an ordinary cat, but if one looks close enough to the pelts of one of these cats, it becomes apparent that something isn't the same. Namely that the stars can be seen speckled in their furs. Normally it is cats known to the recipient who appear, but not necessarily. It wouldn't be unheard of for ghosts no one recognises to appear within our homes, and they give guidance and advice, or simple conversation to the cats they appear to. Usually, it is regarded as a good sign for a young apprentice or soon to be new mother to see a ghost or spirit, believing it to be a sign of good fortunes to come.
But there are times during which this is not a good sign, for not only cats of StarClan are capable of appearing within our homes. There are times when cats dark of fur, the stars seen only in their eyes or very faintly, and this is a sign to get as far away as possible from the cat as one can. It is nearly always a sign of bad times to come, for these are dark forest cats. Old clan members that committed such crimes even StarClan wouldn't welcome them.
History... It was the spirits which take such importance in our day to day lives which would be our eventual downfall. For they became so used to our lives, that we failed to notice when something darker began showing up on our territory. Sparking rumours, spreading lies and sowing a darkness in the minds of our members that to this day we struggle to shake. Our deputy was one of these cats. An ancient voice began to whisper in his ear until he found himself agreeing with what was said, and when he eventually came to the throne of SpectreClan, his mind was so dark that what he would install among us would nearly see us ruined. Initially it wasn't noticeable, rules would be changed so that the warriors ate first rather than the elders or queens, then the age at which a kit was made an apprentice was changed, and then changed again. Until the changes were driven so deep that it was hard to notice, and those who dared disagree were punished. Until the first cat was killed for dissenting with what had been decided, and so many cats were turned to the dark, there were few cats left to disagree strong enough to change things. The weak were killed en masse, kits were expected to be warriors at birth and the slightest sign of the failure at being the leader's perfect image of a warrior were culled. The apprentice den was near empty, and cats were dying from wounds of needless battle. Until the leader himself would bring a litter into the clan which would prove to be his own downfall. Predominantly Stormfrost, who wouldn't be notable until her warriorhood, where she would bare a litter of kits. Her pride and joy, but not to her father who saw them as weak and demanded of the new mother the unthinkable. That she put her own kits out of their misery. And when she of course refused, it was done for her. And so the leader would seal his own fate. Determined for revenge, even if it would be the death of her. Stormfrost began what most thought would be impossible, rebellion. It took moons, and even more lives were lost but at last she had her way. She killed her father, and SpectreClan were allowed what they had long thought impossible. Peace. But how long it will last is yet to be seen, as the now Stormstar is surrounded by the dark shadows of her past.

No matter how far from home you go, Leader...
Stormstar, Built with the similar tall build common among her clan, she is more slender than most but deceptively strong, a capable fighter and quick witted, she is not one to be underestimated. As is demonstrated by the scarred nature of her dark fur, the fact that she survived long enough to bare these scars say a lot about her character. She is predominantly black in colour, splashed with dark orange patches and freckles of white. She gains her name from the grey of her eyes, like the clouds overhead during a thunderstorm. Determined in nature, silver of tongue and quick in wit, this young leader has been through hell and back in her short time on earth, and it shows. But she carries herself tall in spite of it, and though she carries many of the scars of her past, both mental and physical, she has a good heart and shows good leader qualities so far despite of who her father was. However, she despises having to admit when she is hurting or that she is in pain, to the point where she rarely admits it even to the closest of her friends. She is a closed off cat, but a loyal one. @velveteenwolf
Deputy... Deputy, An open position, feel free to join as! @screenname Medicine Cat... Snowblaze, When born, this she-cat was seen as a huge anomaly with pure white fur and pale blue eyes. As such, her mother tended to favor her siblings and she grew up with less than most others. Her mother named her Frailkit, claiming that nothing good would come of her life. She fell ill young and the Clan was certain she wouldn't make it, but the medicine cat was on her side. Fortunately, herbs and constant vigilance kept her alive. However, this sickness took the hearing on the right side, almost blinding her in the same fashion. It also left her with a small and frail stature, something her mother detested, but believed justified. However, she proved that her spirit was stronger than any others, and became the medicine cat apprentice. She vowed that she would make the best of what she was given and save lives in the way hers was. When the time came for her full name, her mentor changed it all into something that fit her perfectly. Snowblaze. For her pure white fur and the burning heart in her chest. Despite the hardships she faced, Snowblaze grew into a very loyal and kind-hearted cat. If anyone ever needed a sympathetic ear or a friendly companion, she is exactly the cat they should see. She has grown to be wise and fair, but firm in her opinions and decisions. She hopes that she can pass on her love for life and herbs onto the rest of her Clanmates and has vowed that all cats she meets will feel loved. Never will she allow herself to be the cause of pain in someone's life like her mother was to her. Adria Medicine Cat Apprentice... Lightrain, Lightrain is an oracle that has never seen a day in her life. This she cat was born blind, her wide green eyes clouded over with no pupil, eerie, and wise beyond their years. This she cat has a dark coat similar to her sister, and yet her name derides from the distinctive spots of gold all over her coat. Her fur is thick and long, and her build was made to be crafted into one strong and durable, but because Lightrain has never fought, not hunted a day in her life, her frame is weak and fragile. Even though Lightrain can not see, she is far from blind. She can sense the world around her with her heightened sense of hearing, just from sensing how far your voice is, she can sense how far you are. Her touch tells her a lot about how a cat might look, and although she has no perception of color, she can feel the aura of a cat. Lightrain is a very priestly cat, everything she does she does for the grace and greatness of the spirits. She believes that they were everything that came before, and everything that will ever be. She speaks like that a lot actually, in mysterious passages that are vague. Lightrain doesn't seem to have a sense of humor, like she was born without one or something. Even someone as close as her sister, Stormstar, has never seen her laugh a day in her life. She is serious, and very passionate in what she does, it's not that she hates humor, it's just that she doesn't seem to understand it. Rightfully so, many cats think that Lightrain is boring - which it is given she is. But Lightrain is also one of the wisest cats, who has earned her position of medicine cat, not just inherited it because of her blindness. She is creative in how she heals, and goes about getting herbs. For instance, she learned that the seeds within the herbs, or the pollen, can be planted and nurtured to grow more herbs, creating a make shift garden. She has a nest of spider's somewhere in the medicine cats den that offers a permanent supply of cobwebs. Though one might be hesitant to trust a blind cat, Lightrain's soothing words can calm even the most panicked of cats. There is one thing however, and that is that Lightrain trusts the word of the spirits above anyone else. She has a strict view on rules, and says they are put in place by their ancestors not to be broken, she can grow very cold to those who disobey the spirits. So, probably safe to stay on her good side. 𝘊𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘴𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘮 ꕤ

There will always be a home for you here, Warriors...
Bluefrost, Intimidating is likely the first word that comes to mind when one regards this older tom. The mixture of massive and muscular, with the battle scars of an ancient veteran, he is hardly a friendly sight. He carries such a dark grey pelt that one might mistake it for being a rich blue in colour, he is striped with colours of white and black, which is where he gains his suffix from, but woven through his fur is a great deal of scar tissue. The aftermath of a life of war and fighting that he would give his life never to see again, to the point of he would turn to the dark forest for the simple chance at never seeing the destruction of war again. He is an intelligent cat, tactical as well as strong which makes him a threat on the battlefield. This is the type of tom you would want to have on your side when you find yourself on the battlefield. @velveteenwolf
Duskmask, Duskmask is a lilac, short-furred tom with a black neck and black markings around his narrow pale grey eyes that resemble a mask. He has a long, whip-like tail, short whiskers, and is unusually tall. Duskmask has trouble expressing his emotions at the best of times, and tends to speak in a flat monotone. Despite this, he's actually rather kind, and doesn't mean to come off as uninterested or annoyed. He has trouble connecting with others, but still enjoys the presence of his clanmates. Duskmask started out as a medicine cat apprentice, believing it was his destiny due to his unusually his spiritual sensitivity, but was unhappy with the position. When his mentor was attacked by a rogue while they were gathering herbs, he successfully fended off the attack and took it as a sign from Starclan that he was meant to be a warrior. He requested a new mentor, and spent the rest of his time as an apprentice learning to fight and hunt, eventually earning his warrior name, though it was 2 moons later than he should have. He feels somewhat insecure due to this, and believes others judge him for it. nettle
Hazefall, Hazefall is a notably handsome tom, with a pelt collaged of grays, lighter and darker. His base coat is a smooth, smokey grey, layered on top of that are loose tabby markings of a much darker grey, almost black. On his underbelly, chest, muzzle, and front toes there is a lighter grey. He has thick, course fur to help protect from the cold, and though this tom is build with strong muscle and a hard body, he carries himself much lighter than one would expect. He has muddy amber eyes, and hardly a scar upon him. Hazefall is a rather introverted cat, one that doesn't tend to like getting involved in things bigger than him. That's not to say he's shy, or doesn't particularly like socializing, he just isn't what you would call an extroverted cat. He is very introspective, reflecting a lot in his own head about things about the day. Hazefall probably talks more to himself than he talks to at least half of his clan mates. He is very intelligent, never being one to capitalize off of brute force, even though he has the strength to do so, he is instead more calculating, executing hunting trips or battles with slowly, with precision. Boring? Maybe a little, but if it's entertainment you want than Hazefall is a great story teller. Ever since he was an apprentice, Hazefall has been in love with telling stories. He has a way to weave a narrative that can capture an audience, and the imagination to do with his audience as he pleases. Most of the time, when the tom is quiet and reserved, it's not because he's not wanting to talk, it's because he's deep in thought about some new story he could tell. This tom is very bashful when it comes to praise, not knowing how to handle it - which brings up anther point; Hazefall is very awkward. When he does manage to get in a conversation with someone, it could go horrible awry. He's not the best at talking, especially to girls he likes. So, he finds himself getting along with those who are very out spoken, and don't seem to have a care when it comes to social situations. 𝘊𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘴𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘮 ꕤ
Larkpetal, Small compared to the norm of SpectreClan, once upon a time this young shecat wouldn't have lived to see the light of morning. One of the first cats born in the aftermath of war, she grew up with the stories of war which might have tainted the lives of others. But she is determined to never let the clan she loves relive that part of their history. She is small, lithe and slender, quick footed and quicker witted. She is a shy and timid young cat, but she has a good heart and a kind nature. She carries a feathered thick pelt of dark silver fur, marked with stripes of black and lighter grey all over her back and body, with eyes lit with a dark, ocean green colour. Despite not being the most open of cats in the clan, once she considers another a good friend, she is loyal to the point of being blinded by their mistakes. @velveteenwolf
Littleblossom, Littleblossom is a young, and surprisingly lithe she cat with a coat mixed with soft colors of light, and pale orange. Her base color is a darker peach coloring, and layered on top of it is an undercoat of lighter peach, with the same color splashing along her back. She has white toes, and white ear tips, with dark blue eyes to follow. Although this she cat was given the short stick when it came to genetics, she has fought hard to maintain the strength that a SpectreClan cat is required to have. She has a slender, and much smaller frame, but there is no denying the muscle that she has in her legs. It makes her a great runner, which is wonderful when it comes to catching prey for her clan, but because it is so abnormal from the common larger, muscular cats it earns her some strange looks. Her genetics differ so greatly because Littleblossom was the only child of two outsiders that joined the clan as a couple. Shortly after the birth of their kitten, they mysteriously disappeared, the consensus being that the two only wanted to join the clan to safely give birth to their kit, and then decided it would be a better home. Littleblossom was raised entirely by the clan, with no idea who were parents were, and yet still felt the sting of rejection. Being an only child, as well as the offspring of outsiders, she felt like she had no one growing up. She looked up to one cat, one who she thought was like a hero. Stormstar. Littleblossom aspired to be just like her, so she pulled herself out of her depressive state as an apprentice and began to train harder than she ever had to show the clan she was more than just a forgotten kit. All of this has molded Littleblossom into an independent cat, who is keen on her own self worth. Although she still struggles with her own insecurities, she learns to get by with them mainly on her own. She is not a cat that likes accepting help from others, as she sees it as a sign of weakness. So even if that means stomaching through the pain, or working twice as hard, she'll do it to prove mainly to herself that she can. On the friendliness factor, Littleblossom is very approachable. Her warm voice and playful nature makes her easy to get along with. She enjoys ironic humor, and occasionally takes part in pranks when she's feeling especially mischievous. She has an undying loyalty to the clan, but especially to Stormstar... Which means that if Stormstar were to ever do something that went against the rest of the clan, she would find herself at a loss. Her dream is to become the deputy of SpectreClan, and be as a great a leader as Stormstar is. 𝘊𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘴𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘮 ꕤ
Mintspring, Mintspring is a chimera, very pale grey with black tabby stripes accompanied by black patches, giving a muddled and busy look to her pelt. she has large, blue-green eyes, short fur, a stocky frame, and short whiskers. She is unusually short, bit small legs, but her build allows her to carry quite a bit of physical force. Mintspring is energetic and unusually positive, rarely every seeing the negative in anything and always encouraging others, even when they fail miserably. She's a bit of a ditz as well, forgetful and unfocused. She is naive and easily fooled, but also has an inherent kindness, always believing in the good in others, even if they show no good traits. nettle
Nightchaser, Most would be forgiven for assuming this tom was midnight black in colour, for if he isn't standing in direct sunlight that would be what it appears. But in truth he is a mainly black tom cat, swirled with markings of dark brown almost red colouring, unusual in colouring and unusual in nature. He was a young apprentice in terms of the clan's history, and carries many of the same scars in terms of body when it comes to the rest of his clan, but he carries an enthusiasm most had knocked out of them. The type to refuse to let pessimists get their way, he has seen the worst of what the world has to offer, but refuses to let it taint his mentality. He is a kind cat, who believes in thinking the best of other cats no matter what the evidence might show. He is naive in this respect, but his good heart makes him a good friend, as does his affinity to listening to others. Vᴇʟᴠᴇᴛᴇᴇɴ🍁Wᴏʟғ
Redshadow, A massive form, Redshadow is all muscle with broad shoulders and a wide head. He has a great prowess when it comes to battle, something the tom greatly prides himself in. His dark fur is covered in a scattering of scars from countless battles as he fights his hardest every time SpectreClan is thrown into danger. Redshadow is a brute and as such has turned out to not be the sharpest claw on a paw. He's slow on the pick up of jokes and completely oblivious to the undertones of social interaction. The tom tends to take everything as face value and much prefers to speak and spend time with cats will be straightforward and tell him of their feelings. By the same token, Redshadow is the same way. He will speak his mind and very bluntly state his feelings and opinions without any regard towards others feelings. The tom has a predominantly dark ginger fur, but he has a top coat of black, making his fur appear darker than it is. His fur is long and flowing and his tail is a huge feathery plume. Redshadow also has very pale green eyes, perfectly round in his face and a red nose. He was born and raised in SpectreClan. Adria

Kits... Kits, Please do not join as motherless kits. @screenname Elders... Jackdawshadow, This tom is one aged far beyond his moons, had war not happened he would likely still be a warrior, but his body has been so ruined by battle there is little he can do to provide for his clan in terms of hunting or starclan forbid further battle. Hence spends much of his time enthralling kits and apprentices with the history of SpectreClan. Despite his less than appealing appearance, he is good hearted and protective. Willing to do whatever he can to keep the ones he love, the standards of which aren't especially strong, safe. He is muscled and scarred, almost entirely black in colour save for the stripes of white down his spine and marking his paws. As well as the natural greying which comes with old age, his eyes are a dark ambery brown. But he is growing partially blind due to an old wound affecting his sight. @velveteenwolf

StarClan Members...
Hemlockstar, Massive and intimidating, this tom's good nature saved him from being a tom to be worried of. Carrying a thick coat of primarily dark brown and white, he is splashed with gingery brown patches of colour predominantly on his haunches, chest and paws, with light brown stripes all down his back and body. His eyes are lit with a rich blue colour. He was a kind and open tom, good humoured but willing to do what was necessary for his clan, and with a level head and calm nature which made him a prime candidate for leader. He was the leader of SpectreClan before it was turned to ruin.

You can never be sure just who follows,
Plotlines...
Peace was never meant to last in SpectreClan, and the recent moons have only been showing that more and more. After the war, life returned to an almost peaceful one, life beginning to turn back to normal. The dark spirits that once plagued us hadn't been seen for moons. Until the day that Stormstar reveals that once again, she is pregnant. Considering what happened to her first litter of kits, the news puts the clan on edge as to what this might mean to them. As this is a clan who believes that the slightest thing is a sign, and they are proven to be more right than most would guess. And these fears are only further demonstrated when the first dark spirit in moons is spotted, and more and more begin to appear the closer Stormstar's kitting grows. Until cats begin to fear that these kits might be the return of the darkness, and this fear brews something dark in the hearts of those who have survived the war. And even in those who don't, some would rather turn to the dark forest than they would see the clan thrust back into the war it struggled to survive for so long. On the brink of motherhood a second time, Stormstar soon finds her clan crumbling to dust around her once more. And this time, it might not be something she has the will to survive again. ( Thank you! ) [ SpectreClan Camp - Alone - tags ] In the early morning light, Redshadow had crept from the warriors den and headed out into the territory. There was a sense of calm about the territory and the sound of sleeping breaths was all that filled the air. The tom's fur ruffled and he trotted around on quiet paws, enjoying the peaceful morning. SpectreClan's territory wasn't always like this, however, and in these moments, even he knew to be thankful. He glanced up at the sky, a half smile snaking across his maw; Watch over us, ancestors. Guide our paws to victory.
After several long peaceful moments, the sun rising higher with each passing moment, Redshadow's paws itched to do something more. He scented the air, nose twitching as he picked up on a nearby squirrel. Normally a prey too swift for him, the warrior felt uncertainty crawl through his chest. It always gave him a mild sense of anxiety to try doing things he knew he normally failed at... But he didn't want to head back to camp empty pawed. Instead, he crouched down and stalked after the prey, listening to the sound of its heartbeat as he drew nearer.
Unfortunately, once again, he fell into the unlucky pattern and brushed his tail along a bush. The sound of it alerted the squirrel and it leaped up, scurrying along a tree trunk. Redshadow raced after the prey, throwing himself up the tree, but it was useless. The squirrel scurried higher and then jump across to another tree, effectively chasing it out of his own reach.
"Agh." The tom muttered to himself and pushed off back down to the forest floor.
He spent a long while still out in the forest and despite his original failure, he managed to catch two mice. The warrior twitched his ears in satisfaction as he caught the last one. He grabbed his hunt and carried it back to camp, green eyes bright with happiness. As Redshadow slipped into camp, he cast a glance around, then made his way to the fresh-kill pile.

Stormstar - - - SpectreClan Camp; With Whom; @tags
Despite having been driven to her nest early on the insistence of Snowblaze, Stormstar's night had been restless and sleep had evaded her. When morning light at least breached into the leader's cavern, the expectant shecat was thankful. Uncurling her slender frame, she stretched out as she stood. The swell of her stomach seemed more descended with every coming day, and whilst none of this was new to her anymore. The feeling of dread similar to the first time burned in her heart still, this time all the worse. Pausing for a moment to groom her thick fur, taking the moss from her sleek coat which had become caught in it over night. She let out a soft, though half hearted purr as she felt movement from deep within her sides. The kicking sensation growing stronger as she became more awake and ready for the world outside of the warmth of her den. Few had the heart to blame her considering the tragedy of what had happened to her first litter. Blinking as the watery light of the early morning sun blinded her as she left the darkness of her den, her tail twitched from side to side in a bored manner. She cast her gaze around camp, in search of something to keep her company or with whom to do something productive. Knowing full well either the medicine cat or her sister would likely skin her pelt if they found out she had gone from camp by herself. She decided to save herself an argument and find someone to go with. However, first it seemed her kits had a demand or two to make of her first. As a rumbling sensation of hunger came from deep within her flanks, with a slight chuckle. The queen moved forward, nodding to Redshadow as she passed and calling out a polite greeting as she took a simple chaffinch for herself. Before turning away and finding herself a sunny spot to eat in the company of her own thoughts.
Bluefrost- - - SpectreClan Camp; With Whom; @tags
Settled against the grassy backdrop of the northern peak, an early riser as always Bluefrost was settled comfortably. Watching the sun as it brought dawn to camp and bathed the world in its pale golden light. It was watery, partially blocked by the greying clouds overhead but for now it seemed they would hold back their contents. If his senses were right, which they usually were, rainfall would not greet them until after sunhigh. And that left plenty of time for the clan to be productive in until they were forced to seek shelter from the cold. Digging his paws through the soft turf underfoot, he stretched out for a moment. Feeling the bones along his spine began to crack a little under the pressure as he arched his back upward before relaxing back against the grass again. He let out a comfortable sigh. Allowing his gaze to drift across camp with a bored twitch of his ears, watching as cats began to rouse from their dens and begin early morning life. His whiskers twitched, contemplative for a moment when he spotted Redshadow return to camp with freshly caught prey. But chose not to move and take something for himself. Knowing it would be better to save face and allow the queens and elders to take their pick first, regardless of the hunger which was beginning to nibble at his stomach. First he needed to do something for his clan before taking something for himself, and to do that he needed a cat to go with. Hence he began to flicker his gaze across camp, searching for possible candidates to fulfil his need of getting out of camp and stretching his legs.
Larkpetal- - - Whereabouts; Redshadow; Adria
Returning to camp not much later than Redshadow, though their journeys had been seperate ones they both returned with the good fortune of having caught prey. In her jaws she carried a chaffinch and a mouse, and she carried the scent of the moors and the forests on her feathery grey fur. She seemed happy enough, one to enjoy her own company and never really one to seek out others. She seemed proud of her catches, not that she would outwardly brag as it wasn't in her timid nature. She approached the fresh kill pile and deposited her fresh kill with a twitch of her tail and a slight smile on her face. Greeting the tom cat with a polite nod of her head, "Nice catch," she complimented with a kind and seemingly genuine smile lighting her expression. "It seems like you managed better work than I," she added with an almost playful smile. Her comment in regard to the skinny nature of the prey she had returned with, though they would fill bellies it wasn't an especially appealing pair of peices. Plus, she knew when to respect and admire the hardwork of a clanmate, and that it was only polite to admit when another had done better than she had. "I don't know about you but I'm famished," she continued with a slightly bashful twitch of her grey tipped ears. "But I wouldn't feel right taking something big for myself," she explained with a flick of her tail towards a rather plump rabbit. "Would you like to share?" She questioned, it wasn't necessarily flirtatious as it might have sounded on the tongue of another. But a means to an end, the end being satisfying her hungry stomach after a morning of hard work.
(if anyone wants to roleplay with Nightchaser or Jackdawshadow, I'll add starters for them too)

[ SpectreClan Camp - Larkpetal - @velveteenwolf ] Lost in his own thoughts, the tom hadn't noticed his clanmate strolling in just behind him. In fact, he was completely oblivious to her approach until her mew broke the silence. The tom flicked his gaze to the silver pelt and allowed a smile to grace his expression; Larkpetal. Though timid and quiet, she was great company and a favored companion on patrols. Despite her reserved nature, she made it a point to lift her clanmates' spirits whenever given the chance. Even now, that's exactly what she was doing, and Redshadow let a chuckle rumble in his chest.
"Why thank you, Larkpetal," he mewed, dipping his head to her graciously. He glanced down at the small bird of prey she had caught and shook his head a bit. "I think your catches might have taken more skill than mine in the end," he mewed wryly. While is wasn't something he liked to dwell on, the forest floor dwelling prey were the easiest bits for him to get. Anything flighty, anything that scurried quickly into the trees... Well, those all managed to escape his paws with ease. "Might need to get your help some time!"
Redshadow's gaze flitted to the rabbit and his stomach rumbled before he could speak, completely giving away just how hungry he was. "I would love to," he purred, dipping his head to pick up the rabbit, "Lead the way."

Larkpetal- - - SpectreClan Camp; Redshadow; Adria
Never really the type to enjoy recieving compliments, the feathered warrior simply shrugged her shoulders in response to what he had said. A little bashful at the response, had it been possible her cheeks might have redenned in response to what had been said, but instead managed to brush off her discomfort somewhat and carry on. "Once you know how to do it, its really not all that hard. And their are plenty of cats in the clan more skilled on the matter that you might as well ask." She answered with a smile, a little less nervous now as the pair settled into conversation. She liked the tom, he was kind and didn't expect too much of her when it came to conversation. Larkpetal could enjoy a comfortable quiet with the warrior, and not feel obligated to converse. Grateful admittedly for a change of topic, she nodded her head. Lifting the animal from the fresh kill pile she had been eyeing hungrily, she carried it with a degree of difficulty considering her smaller frame away from the busy area of the fresh kill pile and towards a slightly more isolated, but sunny spot for the pair to enjoy a meal in. Looking to him with a degree of uncertainty to her gaze, "Will this suffice?" She added, not wanting to make him eat somewhere he would rather not.

( I'm attempting to make an Angel/Demon roleplay and it was supposed to center around the angels, but I put effort into describing the demons and now I want to be one... ) [ Camp - Larkpetal - @velveteenwolf ] "Hmm," was all he mused in response. It surely didn't seem as though others would be better suited to teach him. Larkpetal had never begrudged him for the slowness with which he took to tasks. Her patience with him made him feel graced to simply be in her company a majority of the time. Redshadow shook his head and trotted after the feathery silver warrior. When she finally stopped and asked of his opinion, he gave a mock appraisal of the area. Secluded, but sunny; quiet, but comfy. The tom smiled and nodded, moving to settle down in the patch of light with an appreciative sigh.
"This looks perfect to me," he glanced back to Larkpetal and nodded to the rabbit, "You may have the first bite." The dark ginger tabby looked out at the rest of the camp around him, his dark furred shoulders rolled back to loosen them. Redshadow's tail tip flicked lightly and he listened to the sound of the forests just outside their home. Prey was waking up more readily now and singsong of birds filled the air. "Maybe the peace really is going to last this time around."

Not needing to be asked twice when offered the first bite of prey, she showed reasonable self control in the elegant bite she took from the rabbit, rather than scoffing it down in one as she had been contemplating, she chewed slowly. Enjoying the warmth that filled her belly, in her state of hunger it might as well have been the most delicious prey in the clan, and the food company helped the enjoyment of the meal all the more.
Admittedly flinching a little at his question, she withdrew somewhat to give him the chance to take a bite of his own from the meal. Oh how she hoped that might be true, but somehow the worm of doubt always lingered st the back of her mind. “I hope so,” she admitted quietly, “everyone seems so happy, for the first time in ages.”

[ Camp - Larkpetal - @velveteenwolf ] As the she-cat pulled away, Redshadow dipped his head to take a bite of the rabbit for himself. The rabbit was plump and therefore seemed to have more flavor than was usual. His leafy-green gaze brightened and could have almost purred aloud at how enjoyable the meal was going to be. Realizing just how famished he was, the warrior took another bite, the sting of his hunger slowly beginning to lose its edge. Redshadow nudged the prey back closer to Larkpetal and gave a thoughtful blink at her words. He too was hoping that the peace lasted, especially for the sake of their leader. The she-cat had been through more than enough for one lifetime.
"Let the spirits keep our borders safe," he mewed.
