(I just feel like I write the same sentences or use the same words. I suck when it comes to descriptions.) Mothpaw smelled the air again, “I think it is a mouse...” She felt she was only saying that to please Doestep, she still didn’t catch the scent. Mothpaw knew this was more of a personal problem as she was a poor hunter. Whenever she tried smelling for prey, she’d catch the scent of a hundred other things and if she tried listening, she’d get distracted by all the sounds of the wetland. Smokestar nodded, “Good.” He purred and patrolled off west near the Dew Pools. He liked to check there first whenever he patrolled as he tended to catch the scent of passing loners that liked to relax there or a lazy warrior. He pushed through the tall grass, leaving a clearer path for Blossomwish, he checked back on her every once in a while. Eventually he passed the Burial Dam. He stopped in his trail, his focus was on that cursed dam. He felt a sharp pain in his heart whenever he walked by it. Blossomwish ;;
The she-cat thanked her mate as he cleared a path for her, letting out a small purr. She clambered over a large log, puffing as she went. She frowned at herself but continued, feeling a pang in her stomach as they passed the Dew Pools. She looked at Smokestar, grief filling her odd eyes when she gazed at him. She knew how he felt about the dam and what had occurred there. His mate hurried up to him and pressed against him and licked his ear. “It wasn’t your fault,” she whispered, glancing at the area that bore the grave of their former leader.
Sparrowpaw ;;
The apprentice glanced at Mothpaw, seeing how she couldn’t truly identify the scent. He looked away, embarrassed for staring, then aimed his focus back on his prowl. He sniffed the ground, watching as Doestep flattened herself into a hunting crouch.

"I think it might be a mouse...I'm pretty sure you are right." She purred warmly to the apprentice. Leaping from her crouching position, Doestep's slitted gaze wondered over to a small, furry creature scattering through the dense undergrowth. "Found ya you little mouse dung..." Doestep's razor-sharp fangs glinted in the afternoon sun as she yawned. "It's time to establish myself as the alpha mouse. There can only be one and I will not be defeated...for I am the greatest warrior in the forest." She thought to herself before attempting to stand on her hind legs in the cat-equivalent position of the t-pose. "Behold Mothpaw! This is how you establish your dominance over the mice! One day, you could be their leader!" She screeched out as loudly as she could. However, from the loud noise, the mouse's beady eyes immediately locked onto the t-posed cat and ran away out of fear.

Otterpaw scooped up the sand in his paws. He aimed for Dappledleaf’s chest.

(I can’t answer that question when I don’t know what I’m doing with mine.) Smokestar was snapped out of it when his mate nudged him, he took a deep breath and nodded. “I know. Dewstar told me herself when she gave me my first life...I just wish the clan understood that. Even Mothpaw thinks I caused Dewstar’s death.” The tom ended with a sigh.
Mothpaw covered her smile with her paw as the mouse ran off. “Now he’s off to tell his friends of the yelling giant furball.” She muttered to Sparrowpaw as she knew those words would jab at Doestep’s pride.
Dappledleaf rubbed off the sand and water, “Good, Let’s try something else. An underwater leg sweep. Follow.” She said and went into the deeper parts of the water. The clear water was calm and cool, it also went up to her sides. “Swiping with your front paws underwater will throw your opponents off guard. They won’t see it coming.” However you could clearly see the ground and Dappledleaf’s marbled coat through this water, making training easier.

(( T-POSE TO ESTABLISH DOMINANCE. Oh my god...She's one giant meme ))
Doestep landed back on her forepaws with a soft thud. "Darn you mouse! I will be your master one day!" She screeched into the void of marshlands and willow trees. The she-cat pouted, puffing out her cheeks with frustration. "Heck." Doestep turned around to face Mothpaw. "You see, my dear apprentice, is an example of what you are not supposed to do when hunting mice." She place a paw on Mothpaw's ear. "Now come! We must actually hunt."

(I’ve come so close to making one of my cats talk in stupid slang. Lol) Mothpaw watched the ducks fly into the air as Doestep’s yell scared them off. She mouthed out ‘wow’ before she nodded to the warrior. “Oh yes great warrior. Show me the way.” (Show me de way. I know it’s dead but I still love that meme)

Sparrowpaw ;;Sparrowpaw’s eye twitched at the sight of the older she-cat behaving so.. strangely. He turned to Mothpaw, nodded at her statement, unable to speak from how freaked out he was. “I’m... I’m gonna go hunt over here,” he informed them slowly, his blue eyes wide. He passed away from the group, following a scent he had smelled before. Hopefully Doestep hadn’t scared off the rest of the prey. Blossomwish ;;Blossomwish felt another stab in her stomach, pity for her mate gnawing at her. She didn’t know what it felt like to have a sibling, but she could understand how it felt to be misperceived. She nuzzled his fluffy neck fur, purring softly. “I do. And so does Dewstar, which is most important. Don’t let others bring you down.”

"Alright youuuuuuu...Mothpaw...What's his name again? Stickpaw? Mudpaw?" She whispered into the Mothpaw's ear. "I shall show you the way, my child." Doestep padded towards the underbrush. "Come if you want to know the way."

The small tabby frowned at Doestep, noticing the she-cat ask Mothpaw what his name was. He chose to ignore it, no matter how much it peeved him. Tail lashing, Sparrowpaw mumbled, “No thanks. I’ll do better on my own.”

(Hi Snowflake ^^) Mothpaw aides Sparrowpaw and spoke, “He probably doesn’t want to take up most of your time. You know...” Mothpaw couldn’t think of anything else to say to help Sparrowpaw. “You can show him later, show me, show me.”
“I never do.” Smokestar said with a more confident tone, “It’s Mothpaw’s lost.” He muttered and headed to the Dew Pools. He smelled around, he didn’t catch any loners or warriors, it all seemed good here.

Owlclaw walked out of the warriors den. He saw Sparrowpaw talking with Mothpaw. “Hey Sparrowpaw want to go hunting?” he called over to him.

Chuckling to herself, Doestep nodded in agreement to the younger cat. "Come on Mothpaw. I'll show you something pretty cool I learned!" The young warrior gave the apprentice a goofy smile before racing underneath the thicket. Her long legs caught in stride with the pounding of a slight drizzle from the clouds above. A slight breeze ruffled the willow leaves above, creating a symphony of chattering birds and whispering leaves. Doestep's amber eyes looked upwards towards the sound, wondering if the trees and birds had some secret language. Her ears perked at the sound of bird calls above, causing the she-cat to whistle back as loudly as she could. Stopping at a large pool of water, Doestep observed medium fish with sliver scales swimming peacefully underneath the Doestep's glassy reflection. "Check this out!" She called behind her shoulder as her claws began to unsheathe with excitement. Her paw gently touched the surface of the water, creating small ripples in the pool. "Lovely..."

Mothpaw closed her eyes as she listened to the sounds of the willows and birds. She open them back up when Doestep spoke again, “Coming.” She said and sat a tail length away from the She-cat to give her space.

As Doestep waited for Mothpaw to arrive at the pool, Doestep prepared herself to dive into the water for the fish swimming at the deep. Taking a deep breath of air, she dove straight into the pool towards the shoal of silver-scaled fish below. With a sharp swipe of her paw, she managed to barely grab a small fish and struggled to clasp its wriggling form into her jaws. Pushing from the bottom of the pool, Doestep scrambled onto the soft earth with her catch. "Have you ever tried deep water hunting before?"

“Oh...no.” Mothpw shook her head, she wasn’t very good at hunting. Especially with water, she hated water as A.) she wasn’t a good swimmer and B.) her got fur got even more tangled up when it gets wet.

|Badgertripe| She-cat | 20 moons| Warrior| Volchitsa4| |Named for the white blaze on her face, Badgerstripe has a solid thick furred black body with the exception white toes, a white ring at the base of her tail and white tail-tip. Soft-spoken and perhaps a little too agreeable, she can also be a bit of a day-dreamer. However, she is a strong-willed and opinionated cat who is willing to fight for her ideals, and pursues her goals with determination and passion. Friendly and approachable, she takes genuine pride in helping others to the best of her ability. Though she does withdraw from time to time to 'recharge' she does enjoy socialising. Badgerstripe is a little bit sensitive, particularly to criticism- being a bit of a perfectionist, she can create unrealistic standards for herself and to her criticism is often taken as a bit of a personal attack. She holds grudges, although the other cat may not know it as she will continue to be polite, if not a little colder. |Cool Water. Also, I'm open to her having siblings.|
|Mistfur| Tom | 79 Moons| Warrior| Volchitsa4| |A long-furred silver/grey tom with darker stripes and tail-tip, and lighter fur around his face, legs and tail-base. Mistfur is social and kind, and possesses a very tender spot for kits. He will gladly make time to play with kits or help out an apprentice, his patient and supportive nature perfect for teaching. Reliable and hard-working Mistfur sometimes takes on too much, not that he would tell anyone. He tends to hide his true feelings, being secretive with his personal thoughts. As a result of his bottled emotions, he occasionally lashes out in frustration. Mistfur suffers from a stiff shoulder that pains him particularly in the colder months, which is the result of taking a tumble out of a tree, and he wasn't quick enough to land on his feet. |Cool Water. Also, I'm open to him having siblings.|

(The clan’s only started. The ‘history’ is that Smokestar became leader recently but some of the clan thinks he killed the leader before to get to where he is now) (I have Spiderpaw and Leopardtail open. They’re training in a clearing.)

"Always land a hit. Right." Foampaw said, shifting his weight once more. Though he was still leaning a bit to the left, he was more balanced and lifted his paw again, eyes screwed up as he concentrated for a moment before bringing it down, this time managing to cuff his mentor's ear.

Crickethum blinked with surprised as he felt his ear being cuffed but he soon changed his face to a smile. “See.” He rubbed his ear for a bit and shook his pelt. “It’s the little things we tend to never fix. And it’s always fixing those little things that can decide a winner in a battle.” He then pushed his apprentice over with his tail. “You’re still a little unbalanced.” He laughed.

Foampaw let out a squeak of a yowl when Crickethum knocked him over, flailing as he tried to roll to his paws. Once he had finally managed to get to his paws, he went in for another strike, hoping to try and surprise his mentor this time, but having not aimed properly, he only managed to brush the larger tom's shoulder.

Crickethum stepped back and jabbed his paw gently at the apprentice belly. “Take your time when fighting, don’t always rush into it.” He said. He swished his tail around as he curled up his apprentice, he then sat down. “Let’s try something else. The leap and hold, perfect for a cat your size. You try jumping on and latching onto my back, it will keep your large opponent from slashing at you as you’d be out of range.” He stood up.

Foampaw rolled back to his paws as Crickethum sat down. "Jumping on another cat is actually a battle move?" Well it sounded like it was similar to hunting to him, so he fell into a hunting crouch, flattening his ears. Tail flicking, he looked down at his paws, trying to make sure he was balanced this time before looking back up at his mentor. Just like a hunting move... he thought then jumped, crashing into the larger cat's chest since he didn't put enough power into his jump.

“Usually it can be used to tire out a cat. You could also unsheathed your claws and scratch up their skin and fur.” Crickethum watched as his apprentice jumped at him only to hit his chest. The mentor held back a laugh, “You weee balanced this time. Try putting more power on your paws.”

"I'll get it this time." Foampaw muttered, his ears growing warm as Crickethum laughed at him again. Crouching, he tensed before jumping again, this time he managed to land on his mentor's back...sort of. He landed cross ways from the direction his mentor was facing and, before he could get a grip on the older tom, found himself falling face first into the ground with another yowl.
