hello everyone! my name is ᴘᴏʟʏᴏɴʏᴍᴏᴜꜱ and I have commitment issues. ( 〃..) basically, I've always loved creating RPs and being apart of them but I always end up fading away and leaving the rest to doom, therefore, I've decided to make this planning page/plot idea that involves other people to help keep this mess together.
so, what's the idea? the plot for this RP is based on the many mythical creatures we've heard of throughout our whole lives (making this a supernatural RP) but all in one location (the shadowed woods). I wanted to set it up in the same sort of way the Warriors Series is done, where the certain species are in their own "clans"/territories. For example, I wanted to make my RP based off of werewolves, yet one of the bordering "clans" would be something like Sirens living in a lake, or vampires living in caves/shadowed areas, or fairies living in mysterious areas etc.
then what do you need us for? my plan is to get a group of three or four other people (including myself) who are reliable and are willing to work together to adapt this plan. Each one of you would create your own RP but we'd all be linked together and create together. I'd like for each RP page to be similar, but of course with our own twists depending on which species we choose to use. I'm going to say that this is first come first serve when it comes to people claiming their own RPs connected to this, but I'll also want to get to know you since we are going to have to be relying on each other while creating this. If possible, I'd prefer the kind of people who are used to semi-literate/literate RPs and the people who are used to creating RPs, because it'd be great to have some help with coding and such as well.
however... this plan is still very underdeveloped. I'm hoping it shouldn't be too complicated to create but I'm sure it'll be lots of fun with people working together ^^ *ALSO, I'm not only looking for people to claim bordering "clans", but also helpers who are just willing to join whatever and help plan.

table of contents: introduction post: rules: Forum Rules // Please follow all forum rules. If you do not know all of them, please read them here. Respect // We all know that we have to keep things civil on roleplays. If you have an argument with someone, please move it into PMs; otherwise, we must all be kind to each other. Literacy // Due to the long planning of this RP, I'd really like it if we could put in plenty of effort to writing at least 5 sentences per roleplay response and try to match the amount that the other person wrote, if you cannot roleplay with a semi-literate style, this is not for you. Outside the RP // Please type in a way that shows that you are no longer roleplaying, such as putting your words into (-), [-], {-}, OOC:, etc. Activity // For now, I'd like that members are on at least 3 times per week, even if you can't give very lengthy responses. I want this roleplay to last; therefore, if you are not active for two weeks in a row, you will be temporarily deleted until return. God-modding, powerplaying etc. // This RP obviously consists of the use of powers (that depend on your species). None of the species within this RP are considered incredibly strong compared to the other, so we need to be careful that our characters aren't acting overpowered unless it's a part of the plot. Battles don't last forever, remember that someone has to win and lose fairly. There's no such thing as a perfect/invincible character here. PG-13 // Even if most of us are older than 13 years old, we have to follow the forum rules so that we do not get deleted. Please use the 'skip' option if things are getting inappropriate or out of hand, but if you must continue- take it into PMs. LGBTQ+ // 100% allowed. Spam // If you're not apart of this RP, or any of the other Mount Fabulae RPs, do not post here unless you're asking someone to return to your own RP. No advertising or bashing allowed. Character limit // Please join with at least one female and one male, to keep things even. Put 'Fabulae' at the end of your joining form if you have read all the rules. roleplay rules: joining forms: ranks: so basically i was thinking that each species could have a way of seeing who was powerful enough to be what rank? if that makes sense? like for werewolves, red eyes means alpha and blue eyes means beta and everyone else has yellow, and if someone's eyes change it means they've come into their power, and like for sirens it's a small band tattoo around their arm, and the design in it changes depending on rank, so like a trident for a leader, and a piece of seaweed for a healer or whatever, and for faeries it's wing color- khaleesi territory: landmarks ; Like Faeries could by "Sky's Peak Haven" for the top of the mountain, werewolves could be "Ashwood Pack" for the largest tree in the forest, vamps could be "Crystal Coven" for the crystal stalagmites in their caverns and Sirens could be "Water's Edge Cove" because like they leave in the lake and surrounding underwater caves under a waterfall? and that would lead to the vamp/siren conflict because the underwater caves and the mountain caves all end up connecting, and it's hard to determine a border in something to twisty and interwoven-khaleesi characters: I was also thinking that instead of "starclan" there could be angels? like once you die, if you're good, you become an angel, if bad you become a demon. (all mythical creatures) -nujabes members: relationships: prophecies: healing herbs: WIP around sirens//wet herbs Calamus: The plant has sword-shaped leaves much like an iris or a cat-tail. The inconspicuous flower spike emerges about half-way up the leaf, is about 10 cm long and like a slim corn-cob in structure. The roots can be dried and powdered and used as a fixative for perfumes. Can be used as a vermifuge and insecticide especially for fleas. Medicinally use is for intestinal gas issues. Marshmallow: Sweet mucilaginous herb, used to soothe irritation and control bacterial infection of the digestive tract and upper respiratory tract and skin. It's tall with small, pink hibiscus flowers and can be harvested with impunity. The straight species has huge pink flowers or has white flowers with a red eye. Grow it in neutral mud and be patient in spring as it does not emerge until early June. Chervil: Seed lasts only one year. Short leafy herb with tiny white flowers. Fresh leaves used on potato, egg and fish dishes. Medicinally it is used internally to help with liver disease and externally for inflamed eyes and hemorrhoids. It is said to repel ants, aphids, and slugs from crops. Jack-in-the-pulpit: Can be roasted or pounded and dried roots as food and to treat asthma, whooping cough, bronchitis and externally for rheumatism, boils, and snakebite. Raw plant is very toxic. Meadowsweet: Attractive wildflower with sweet almond-scented, yellow-white or reddish flower heads. Contains salicylic acid. Useful for flu, gout, rheumatism, arthritis, fever, etc. Once added to herbal beers and wine. Sweetgrass: A grass which when dried develops a vanilla scent. Used as a perfume, a scent fixative and to make fragrant baskets. Plays a role in some healing rituals. Yellow Flag: 90-150 cm tall plants with bright yellow flowers penciled in black. Can be used as a laxative and to induce retching in case of poisoning. Purple Loosestrife: A beautiful road-side wildflower with tall spikes of small, magenta to rose flowers. It is a highly astringent, anti-bacterial, diuretic and soothing herb and has many medicinal uses. Lotus: Parasol shaped leaves emerge from the water and are followed in late summer by white to pink single or double flowers. Medicinally various parts are used. The plant is astringent and cooling herb that controls bleeding, lowers blood pressure and fever, sedates heart energy and is a kidney and spleen tonic. White Willow: Leaves and bark contain an aspirin-like ingredient that is astringent, cooling, pain relieving, fever and inflammation reducing.
around werewolves//shaded herbs Ginseng: Believed to boost energy, lower blood sugar and cholesterol levels, reduce stress, promote relaxation and treat diabetes. Golden Seal: Used for the common cold and other upper respiratory tract infections, as well as stuffy nose and hay fever. Some people use goldenseal for digestive disorders including stomach pain and swelling, peptic ulcers, colitis, diarrhea, constipation, hemorrhoids, and intestinal gas. Black Cohosh: Black cohosh has been used in alternative medicine as an aid in treating the symptoms of menopause and menstrual discomfort. Bloodroot: Used to cause vomiting, empty the bowels, and reduce tooth pain. It is also used to treat sore throats, poor circulation in the surface blood vessels, nasal polyps, achy joints and muscles, warts, and fever. Passionflower: The above-ground parts are used to make medicine. Passionflower is used for sleep problems (insomnia), gastrointestinal upset related to anxiety or nervousness and generalized anxiety disorder. Chaga: It boosts and regulates the immune system. Chaga contains compounds that increase the body's production of antibodies that fight pathogens and directly interferes with bacteria's ability to communicate and organize. It's also an antioxidant, and these molecules protect cells all over the body from free radicals that cause anything from age spots to cancer. It can help regulate the immune system's behavior.

ʙᴜᴍʙʟᴇʙᴇᴇ » hello, I'm glad you've found some interest in this as well! I honestly love the idea of having sirens play a larger role because they're the kind of mythical creature that you don't always hear about. if you're willing to put in some effort, time and energy I'd love to have your help in creating this ^^ I'm going to start working on the basics of what we'd need for these kinds of RPs and just coming up with ideas if you want to help brainstorm.

idk when you'll see this but i had an idea regarding creature hierarchy/relationships
so basically i was thinking that each species could have a way of seeing who was powerful enough to be what rank? if that makes sense? like for werewolves, red eyes means alpha and blue eyes means beta and everyone else has yellow, and if someone's eyes change it means they've come into their power, and like for sirens it's a small band tattoo around their arm, and the design in it changes depending on rank, so like a trident for a leader, and a piece of seaweed for a healer or whatever, and for faeries it's wing color etc. etc. it might be lame but it was just an idea

hey sorry for not being on all day, I was at the beach!
I actually do like that idea a lot, because that makes it easier to decipher "who's who" in between the different species. tysm for the idea! I'm gonna maybe sketch something out for the territory- I'm thinking of somewhere in the mountains/lots of forest because it allows the use of different habitats in one area. so like, if it was in the mountains, we could have a territory in a lake for sirens, but perhaps in a nearby area, there could be caves where the vampires live (but there could be many fights between vamps/sirens in taking territories of coves)

ooh, i like that! and like, the werewolves live in the forest at the base of the mountain?

yeah something like that. giving werewolves a territory wouldn't be too hard, they can just live in whatever area has trees lol. if we do end up getting fairies in this RP, I think it'd be cool to have them placed somewhere at the mountain peak, or maybe we could put something there like the moonstone was in warriors. I was also thinking that instead of "starclan" there could be angels? like once you die, if you're good, you become an angel

@holyheart hello & welcome! me too lol it's like some weird passion of mine @brokennose true, that's kind of how it always is haha however, I thought it'd be more interesting to make the vampires and sirens enemies because I think they'd be fighting for territory more often. we gotta figure out some allies too

Post by ᴘᴏʟʏᴏɴʏᴍᴏᴜꜱ on Jul 16, 2018 13:35:26 GMT -5
ooh that gave me an idea, we call them based on where their territory is, so like if the werewolves go at the bottom of the mountain, we'd call them "the Southern werewolves" and for fairies if they lived at the peak of the mountain, they'd be called "the Northern fairies" etc.

I like the idea of naming them based on were they live, but what if instead of directions, it was landmarks ; Like Faeries could by "Sky's Peak Haven" for the top of the mountain, werewolves could be "Ashwood Pack" for the largest tree in the forest, vamps could be "Crystal Coven" for the crystal stalagmites in their caverns and Sirens could be "Water's Edge Cove" because like they leave in the lake and surrounding underwater caves under a waterfall? ᴘᴏʟʏᴏɴʏᴍᴏᴜꜱ @brokennose
and that would lead to the vamp/siren conflict because the underwater caves and the mountain caves all end up connecting, and it's hard to determine a border in something to twisty and interwoven

omg yes, I love that idea! what do you guys think we should title the RP? cause like we'll all have our own names for the packs/regions or whatever but we still have to have something that connects all the RPs together. I was thinking just labeling it as "mythical rp" but that's kind of boring haha

that's a good idea sweetclover1 ! and ᴘᴏʟʏᴏɴʏᴍᴏᴜꜱ what if we named it after the mountain? Like.. idk maybe "Mount (Insert Word Here) ; Land of Legends"
One of the following could be inserted because they're translations, loosely, of "legend" but in the "story" context which also applies bc all the different regions have stories and stuff Swahili - Hadithi Samoan - Tala idk maybe another language?

sweetclover1 hello & welcome! no worries about claiming a page, at this point just having a few helpers is great as well (: tbh that's kind of what I was thinking if we used like a certain species that can use magic- I was thinking certain ranks can only use certain types of magic (although I haven't figured out exactly what type of magic yet) ʙᴜᴍʙʟᴇʙᴇᴇ » I like that idea a lot! We'll have to figure out a name for the mountain, but I might scrap "land of legends" and change it to whatever fits for the species for the different RP forums. (ex. Mount ___ ; Ashwood Pack)
