M a c e 》The Other Side Park
It was early. Maybe too early actually, considering the sky was only just beginning to lighten with the first rays of dawn. It was Mace's favorite time of day. There was no need for sunglasses for his sensitive eyes, no need for sunscreen, no need for preventative measures to keep him comfortable. He sighed and stretched out on the bench, back arching as he did so. It was quiet, being one of the only creatures awake at this time, but Mace found no discomfort. His face surprisingly looked relaxed as he waited for more people to show up. Hunger gnawed at him like a needy old friend, but he ignored it for now. He knew his brother was still sleeping at this hour, and the thought comfoted him. He could sit in silence for a bit longer.
{{ Sorry it's kinda short and took so long xux }}

The sun was beginning to rise as Opal slept soundly in her bed. She tried for many years to make herself wake up early in the morning for school, work, or just to see the sun rise, but she could never do it. After leaving her parent's house Gummy took the duty to wake her up every morning. Kind of funny, an alligator waking a human. Either way Opal was creeping close to the edge of her bed, if she rolled over just once more she would fall face first onto the floor and probably tear-up.

(It's fine for a post. c:)
Nathan arose in the early morning light. It flooded his house, as the roof was made entirely of glass. He actually had it good, being so small. His house only cost 100 dollars to have assembled, and it was comfortable. Stretching, he took a shower, before getting dressed and heading outside. He didn't see any feet nearby, which wasn't surprising giving the time of morning. For now, he'd simply head towards town square.

Jason sat at the table in the kitchen he shared with his sister in their apartment. He had work in the human world in a few hours but he could still enjoy some nice breakfast and coffee. The breakfast he made for his twin was still on the stove staying warm but the length Emma was sleeping in for was starting to annoy to older twin. Halfway through his meal, Jason stood up and walked over to Emma's room. Without knocking he opened the door and threw the covers off his sleeping sister. "Get up or I'll eat your food."
Emma bolted into a sitting position having vaguely heard a threat on her food. "Don't you dare," Emma responded getting up and going to the kitchen. She got out a plate and served herself the sausage, eggs, and biscuits that Jason had cooked. Lucky for Emma that her brother could cook unlike her. Everything she made gave people food poisoning.

Nathan didn't work in the human world. He had a way to go there, and disguise himself, but he simply chose not to. While his smaller size left him unnoticed most of the time, he'd rather not try and be something he wasn't. And so, as he traveled to the Town Square, he began wondering what to do with his day. There had to be somebody he could visit, or do something with. Generally a loner, Nathan did try to make friends occasionally...
Finally arriving, Nathan saw that it was nearly empty. So, he just sat against the wall of a shop, bored. Hopefully people would come around soon.

Opal continued to drift back and forth towards the edge of the bed before she finally *thump* fell over. The baby alligator was seated on the floor next to where she landed, staring at its owner with one eye and the other on the window. After sitting face on the floor for a while she pushed herself into a sitting position before looking at Gummy with tear filled eyes. "G-gummy...." she whimpered pulling her pet into a bone crushing hug, "I fell again." Of course the alligator gave no response and after a while Opie wiped her eyes and got ready for the day.

Eventually, as the day went on, people weren't coming to the town square. As such, Nathan decided he'd take a walk elsewhere. He found himself in one of the 5 neighborhoods of Birch Falls. It wasn't his neighborhood, as his neighborhood was a rather unique one. Rather, it was really generic. People lived in houses here, and they all had their unique abilities, but the houses looked boring. Some of the other neighborhoods had more creative designs. Especially including his.

M a c e 》To Zach's House
A few hours after Mace had been sitting on his bench in the park, he donned his sunglasses and trench coat, already beginning to feel the sun prickling his skin like the untrimmed talons of a pet bird, and started off to his brother's apartment. It wasn't far, per se, but Mace drew it out by walking leisurely and taking the longest route possible. He eyed people from behind his glasses, mildly interested in their quirks. He deduced that Zachary would be leaving his house in a rush - but was wrong. Standing outside of his house, Mace's heightened hearing could pick up Zachary's obnoxiously loud snoring and sighed heavily. Mace then looked up and down the neighborhood street, guaging the neighbors' various states of alertness.

It didnt take long for Opal to get dressed, quickly throwing on her shorts and hoodie. She wasnt big on eating most days so she grabbed a green apple, shoved Gummy down her hoodie and headed out the door and down the street. "Where to today?"

Eventually, finally, Nathan found himself a person nearby. Somebody in a hoodie it appeared. She obviously wasn't aware of him, because even in their place of crazy existence, he wasn't easily noticed, due to his size. He began walking closer towards her.

(Is it wrong that I thought of how everyone squishes plankton in spongebob when I read your post?) The nineteen year old was almost always in a world of her own no matter how many people told her it was dangerous especially when walking. She almist didnt notice the little man until Gummy jumped out of her hoodie. "Where are you going?"

(Nah, I honestly kind of like thinking that way. It's kind of comedic.)
Nathan continued walking, her still not noticing him. It was fine, because he wasn't sure if he'd even introduce himself anyways. But as he moved forward, he noticed the animal hop out of her hoodie, and he fell backwards. It was nearly 100x his size, so naturally, he was freaked out.

"Silly Gummy what are you doing?" she asked as she bent over to pick up her pet Although Opie wasn't the brightest in the world she certainly was quite observant when she need to be. "Oh who is this?" she questioned seeing Nathan a little frightened "Are you alright? You didn't kill him did you Gum-Gum?"

Now, naturally, Nathan was well aware that she had control of her pet, as it backed off immediately. But still, if he had a heart, it would be pounding out of his chest. He was thoroughly freaked out, unsure of how to react. She noticed him, which was good, but he couldn't even think of responding at the moment, because he still needed to gather his bearings.

Opal put Gummy back into her hoodie after scolding the little critter. She wasn't exactly sure what she should do since there was not an immediate response so she took a step back and squatted down, waiting to see if Nathan was not dead. "I swear Gummy if you do this again..."

Eventually, Nathan found his place, and he looked up at Opal. He kind of waved, half heartedly, still a little concerned about the creature in her hood. But he figured that he should show that he was acknowledging her, as opposed to ignoring her.

Opie let out a sigh of relief, "I'm glad you're alive." she said noticing that Nathan waved to her, "I'm sorry Gummy frightened you. He usually does not do things like that too often." For the next couple of minutes the teenager rambled on and on about her alligator
