hi hi i'm always bored out of my mind and looking for something to do so here's my solution!
all of my plots are welcome to be tweaked.
i'm active, however with me wanting these to be semi-advanced roleplays means that i will likely only be able to put out one or two responses a day; i work and i am busy with my senior year of marching band, and i am involved in other roleplays as well, however, these limited responses ensures that good thought is always put into my replies.
i prefer responses of 2-5 paragraphs, but i have no issues with length and fluctuations as long as there are at least two paragraphs.
reply if interested; i prefer to do roleplays over pm, but i am completely fine with threads <3 whatever you prefer
- muse c isn't necessarily a vital part to this roleplay other than causing angst, but whichever one of us that plays muse a will have to sort of roleplay muse c when needed since whoever roleplays muse a determines what exactly happened between them and what the charge is.

After being wrongly imprisoned for 2 years, Muse A gets out on parole. Adjusting to life on the outside is difficult with a conviction on their record, especially since no one knows the truth– which is that Muse A was innocent and had to take the fall for someone who was threatening their family. As a term of their parole, Muse A must live in a halfway house and maintain employment for 6 months without committing any criminal offenses or they risk an immediate return to prison. Muse A just wants life to return to something resembling normal, so they take the first job opportunity that will have them. Muse B is a customer who frequents Muse A’s place of work. Although Muse A tries to keep to themselves in order to avoid any potential trouble, Muse B manages to crack Muse A’s hardened exterior. Over time, Muse B becomes someone whom Muse A looks forward to seeing and spending time with. As a tentative relationship grows, Muse A starts to feel like they can put their unjust past behind them. That is– until Muse B invites Muse A to meet their sibling, Muse C, who Muse A recognizes as the person they went to prison because of. Now Muse A must decide whether their budding relationship with Muse B is more important to them than seeking revenge on Muse C and jeopardizing their freedom.
- Muse A is a paranormal enthusiast. They spend hours researching and analyzing data that other investigators have collected, yearning to one day conduct an investigation of their own. Right before Halloween, the opportunity arises not too far from Muse A’s hometown to join other amateur paranormal investigators on a hunt, and absolutely nothing can keep Muse A from purchasing their ticket.
The event location is a well-known building that Muse B had been sneaking into for years, the long-abandoned county psychiatric hospital. Although the structure has been empty of cases, doctors and administration for nearly thirty years, most local residents insist that the spirits of the patients, homeless, criminally insane, and terminally ill still reside there. Muse B figures why not get a ticket for the ghost hunt, and see if they can validate the strange experiences they’ve had in the past.
On the night of the investigation, Muse A and Muse B both show up to the county psychiatric hospital. Most participants are there in pairs. The event organizers insist no one work alone, so they pair up Muse A and Muse B for the evening.
Will the impromptu team find success and capture the evidence they’ve both been hoping for, or will they simply be left in the dark?
- my hope is for them to get some like evps and audio recordings and other spooky stuff enough to cause the two to band together and want to ghost hunt different locations together.
Muse A is a guarded private investigator, who’s been hardened from working cases that no one else wants. Muse A is already at the end of their professional rope, exhausted from pounding the pavement to get the bad guys, while constantly looking over their shoulder. Through it all, Muse B has been their loyal companion—the one they always turn to when the dam is about to break—the only one that can keep Muse A from resorting to their worst vices. Muse A’s latest assignment—a missing person’s case, involving the sibling of a childhood friend—has Muse A clutching Muse B tighter than ever. Muse B is there for all the late nights, easily soothing Muse A’s frayed nerves, seducing Muse B away from the case with their slim figure and intoxicating scent. Muse B is the only reliable thing in Muse A’s dismal world and as such, Muse B’s growing pull on Muse A becomes harder and harder to deny. Too bad Muse B is involved in the crime and is deliberately distracting Muse A from solving it.
- whomever roleplays muse b determines what exactly happened in the crime, how innocent they are, and whether or not they will be caught.
