Having decided it was best to at least try to be productive, the slender warrior lifted herself to her paws and stretched out each leg one by one. Looking down on the clearing in search for her... difficult apprentice. Soon sotting the jet black shecat, the warrior deftly leapt from her perch and landed quietly in the clearing and approached the younger shecat with a polite dip of her head. “Good morning,” she told Ravenpaw kindly, sitting down before the shecat with a yawn. “I intend to go hunting, should you wish to accompany me. Have you eaten yet?” She added with a tilt to her head.

Ravenpaw was slowly making her way towards the fresh kill, hoping to at least take a nibble or a morsel. She was sure to get yelled at or something, most would find some kind of excuse for that. She tensed as she heard a relatively familiar voice. Ugh, her lovely, ever watchful, mentor. Great. She let out a little huff as she took a shrew from the pile as she sat herself promptly at the den. She gave a silent look towards Thunderblossom. Ugh, what was Shatteredstar thinking putting her with such a bulky cat? She knew that she wasn't going to be able to have that strength, so why bother? "I'll tag along." she mumbled with a full mouth as she scarfed up the rest of the shrew.

Able to all but taste the appretnice’s disdain, the tall warrior twitched her whiskers with a mixture of amusement and slight frustration with the younger cat, her tail swatted from side to side but it was the only way to tell that the young warrior was annoyed. However, Thunderblossom waited patiently for Ravenpaw to finish her meal without voicing her complaints. Once the shecat had finished, Thunderblossom stood up and moved away towards the path which would lead them from camp, expecting her to follow. “I thought we might try the Fawn Meadow,” she explained without looking back. “See if we can find mice in the long grass.” As they reached the path out from camp. She paused with a stretch of her long legs. “What do you think?” She added as more of an afterthought/

It was all Ravenpaw could do not to take her sweet old time with this little morning meal. then again, nothing seemed to phase the older warrior. it was a bit weird, and a little annoying that this she-cat found this a little amusing. She was fearsome and deadly! She was fearless in the face of danger. But there were badgers. Badgers had to be the worst thing that could have been brought into this world. That and spiders. She nearly shuddered at the thought. "Fine." she said with a roll of her eyes, slowly getting up and slowly sauntered herself after Thunderblossom. She was feeling hungry for more. But she was sure that a slightly emptystomach would make her more sharp in the senses.

Having been mentor to Frostpaw for a while, the tom was familiar with the fact that his apprentice often collected objects and brought them back to camp. "Ah, it was that time again?" He mewed, tilting his head a bit to one side, "Maybe you should clean it out a little more often then." Cedarfang contemplated his apprentice's decisions; he wasn't sure exactly what Frostpaw collected and brought back to camp, but the gossip was things such as pebbles, feathers, and river rocks. His whiskers twitched a little at the thought; two of those three things just sounded completely uncomfortable. Leading the way towards the fresh-kill pile, the tom cast his leafy green gaze backwards, "Why do you collect the things that you do, Frostpaw?" He meant no malice or judgement by the question, he was simply curious as to why the younger cat was doing such a thing. He truly wanted to understand. (Hi!) Frostpaw shrugged, walking alongside Cedarfang. "I dunno. I guess I just like to collect things." He arched his back, stretching out. He slipped to his belly next to the fresh-kill pile, yawning. Frostpaw glanced over what the warriors had already brought back that morning and the previous evening, and quickly picked out an appropriately sized vole.

As the two made their way across the clearing, they passed by the warrior's den once again and caught Pantherfrost's attention. The dusty tom glanced up from his conversation and gave a gentle purr, "Morning Pantherfrost, join us for a quick meal?" Once Frostpaw spoke up again, his brow furrowed and his gaze turned hazy with thought. Well, the answer didn't really offer much insight, but if that was truth... he got what he was asking for. "I see," he mused, grabbing one of the fish he had seen Iceflame return with.

"He is a seasoned warrior," the tom agreed, remembering the tales he had heard from the elders during his apprentice days. During that time, Charredfrost had still been a relatively young warrior, but he had seemed to accomplish so much. His sunny gaze flickered across the clearing as if searching for the familiar pelt of his clanmate. "Remember those stories they used to tell us about how quickly he picked up on moves?" Darkclaw's attention snapped back to Iceflame, "I wonder what changed."

Pantherfrost let out a little yawn, soon moving over to the cats while picking up a mouse to eat. "You two soon going on a hunt?" he asked between bites. Ah, fresh kill truly was one of the best things in the clan life. He stretched out one of his legs while he looked over at the apprentice. Huh, the younger cat was certainly a real strange one. Bit of an oddball, but he seemed earnest enough. "It looks like a good day for training." he added in the attempt for conversation.

A grin lit the toms expression, he stretched out against the stone underfoot and cast a lawful glance to Darkclaw, ears twitching in amusement. “Careful there, Darkclaw,” he teased mischievously. “It sounds a bit like you have a crush on dear old Charredfrost,” his tone was light and careful not to be too loud. Of course, not that he was one to judge. He did, however, shrug his shoulders, “I think most of us will probably grow in size in the coming moons, if this leafbare is as harsh as last one, it might be a good thing,” he said with a grimace.

Already cats were milling about, collect fresh-kill to eat and settling down into their groups. Flutterpaw's attention was drawn upwards towards RavineClan's leader. She stood just outside her den, surveying the Clan, her sleek pelt seeming to glimmer in even this dim light. With a wistful sigh, the young cat found her mind wandering to the possibilities. She wanted to be as loved and admired as Shatteredstar was. She wanted cats to look up to her, to want to be like her. But how had the older she-cat figured everything out so quickly? Even the elders mentioned that she rose to power quickly, some going so far as to question StarClan. How did she manage to do that?

Ears would occasionally twitch back to make sure that the apprentice was still following her, but otherwise she was rather content to say nothing. That was until they’d reached the tell tale long grass of the Fawn Meadow, it was too early in the season for the meadow to show signs of its name. But the sun was shining down on it, and it was a rather pleasant place to be all the same. Stretching out, she turned to look at her apprentice with half a smile. “Tell me how its best to hunt in long grass?” She offered with a tilt to her head.

"Probably," Frostpaw replied to Pantherfrost with a shrug. He bent down, taking a bite of the vole he had picked out for himself. "Hopefully, I'll be a warrior before too long, though. Only one or two more moons to go." The white-and-grey tom was eleven moons old, so he was towards the end of his apprenticeship. He was looking forward to being a warrior, but was quite worried about what his warrior name would be - He didn't want anything like a she-cat name, like Frostflower or something. Maybe Frostfang, or Frostlion, or even Frostfire. Anything but Frostflower.

( Sparkly's bringing in the biggest worries warrior cats have lol )
"That's true," Cedarfang responded, for the first time realizing that his apprentice wouldn't be his apprentice for much longer. "I was hoping to get some climbing practice in," the warrior mewed, turning to cast a glance at Pantherfrost, "You're always welcome to join us." With a satisfied sigh, the tom finished the last bite of his meal and licked, his paws, swiping them over his muzzle to get it clean again. "We do need to hunt after," he nodded towards the dwindling fresh-kill pile as he spoke.

The dark tom felt his fur grow hot at the suggestion and he quickly ducked his head, shaking it in embarrassment. "Of course not," he mewed, swiping a quick kick down the white patch on his chest, "He was just the warrior I looked up to, you know?" Darkclaw's ear twitched as he spoke, grateful for the quick change of conversation. As far as he knew, it was nothing more than a bit admiration, but maybe Iceflame could see more than he could. Trying to shake off his worries, he nodded in agreement, tail tip flicking up as he spoke. "A plump Clan is a successful one though."

Ravenpaw wasn't foolish enough to miss out on training. Still, she knew that she had to hopefully be beyond this frivolous work. She wanted to fight and explore! Not this stupid training! She narrowed her eyes, trying her hardest to hold back her grumbling. At least the meadow looked pretty. She had half a mind to go and lounge about the grass. Maybe soon enough she could find a deer. That would have been so cool... Oh. Wait. Thunderblossom was...was she quizzing her? She twitched her ears a little while frowning in concentration. "I... Uh..." she frowned. "You keep low to the ground, stay quiet and keep the steps light?" she tilted her head to the side.

(I vote for frostice, stupidly redundant XD)
"So many mouths to feed." Pantherfrost chuckled while he stretched out his limbs once more. Ah, he was aching for a good hunt to get his blood moving. "Maybe you should get some advice from Duskstep sometime, the old fleabag does have a soft spot for earnest apprentices who give him food." he teased while he picked his paws a little. "If it's alright with you, I'd love to observe the training, I'd want to be able to learn how to train an apprentice one day." he smiled earnestly.

Trying not to grin or laugh aloud at the tom’s obvious embarrassment at the comment he’d made, the only giveaway was the slight twitch of his whiskers but otherwise he was kind enough to let that part of the conversation die away. Resting his head against his paws, Iceflame thought for a moment before replying with a grin still on his expression, “Yeah, but it hardly makes us luck the most intimidating clan,” he said with a soft mreow of laughter. He cast his gaze skywards at the sound of birdsong overhead, distracting him momentarily from the conversation, now the sun was making its way to almost its peak in the skies overhead. Lifting himself to his paws, he looked to Darkclaw with a tilt to his head. “Might as well attempt productivity today,” he decided allowed. “Fancy a patrol?” ———————————————————————
Aused that shed caught her apprentice off guard with the comment, for now Thunderblossom chose not to scold he younger shecat for not paying as much attention as would have been expected of a cat in training. Though slightly annoyed, she listened carefully to Ravenpaw’s reply, eyes admittedly glowing with pride when the response was correct. As much as she didnt like to admit it, especially not in front of the already rather vain cat, the apprentice showed promise of becoming a fine warrior. “Well done,” she replied with a nod of her head. “And remember to keep your tail tucked close to you, you dont want it bristling the fronds.” She warned, though smiling.

Oh thank StarClan. Ravenpaw wanted to just say that she was only using a bit of common sense. Then again, she may have been accidentally paying attention to her mentor. She smirked a little before puffing out her chest with a bit of pride. Good, she figured that she could still get the hang of this yet. It wasn't long before she looked to the grass and dropped herself low to the ground. She had to focus and do it well. She started to slink away and into the grass while she tried her best to tuck her tail close to herself. She could already smell the mice scampering about, it made her mouth water at the thought.

The warrior watched Ravenpaw with a careful gaze, judging the apprentice’s every move and making note of how she carried herself through the long grass. Her nostrils flared as she took in the scents of the long grass, though partially masked by the smells of early morning dew, the telltale smells of prey remained in the midst of the area. Showing promise of a fruitful hunt if they concentrated hard enough. For a moment the warrior was distracted, her head turned as she caught sight of a plump sparrow, settled on the roots of a nearby oak tree, searching for berries. Thunderblossom slunk forward in careful silence, until she was little more than a foxlength from the prey - and she lunged. Taking the bird from the root, it was dead before it’d had the chance to as much as call out in surprise. The warrior returned to where she had left the apprentice, dropping her prey to the dirt and waiting patiently.

Ravenpaw clearly hadn't heard Thunderblossom go and catch prey of her own. Maybe she had heard a little bit of a rustle from the trees, but not much else. She kept herself quiet and low as she weaved through the grass. It would have been relaxing, had the crickets not been ringing like crazy in her ears. She wanted to hiss at them, but that also would have alerted any mouse in the area. For now, she would keep silent. It wasn't long before she found a fat mouse eating on some crickets. She tensed up, soon narrowing her eyes and starting to stalk towards the prey until she was a tail-length away before she pounced. A faint little squeak came from it, and she cursed softly under her breath. Hopefully not much prey would be alerted. All she could do was bury her kill and try to hunt for more, hopefully it would be easier now that she had a little warmup.

Ears perked at the sound of a squeaking mouse, the young warrior twitched her long tail in frustration, only hoping that the simple mistake wouldn’t ruin their chances at more hunting. Promptly burying the prey to ensue no other predator would steal it, this time Thunderblossom too descended into the long grass in silence, the cold dew became stuck in her sleek pelt but she didnt mind for now. Continuing her search for prey with which to feed her clan, keeping an eye on the apprentice. [/su]

If there was one thing Ravenpaw hated more than training, it was making rookie mistakes. She grumbled softly to herself the more she moved through the grass. She hoped to find another mouse close by, even then, that wasn't the case. The more she looked, the more impatient she became. Why did she have to be so sloppy? She scrunched her face up, but soon caught the scent of a quail. Oh wow... Her eyes widened as she was hearing the soft cooing. Maybe this was her chance? She slowly started to stalk towards it, her heart was beating like crazy. She crouched low, hoping to spring towards it. A small smirk came to her muzzle before she darted towards it. The quail turned its head and was just about to flap its wings before she moved in for the kill, making sure to keep the stupid bird silent. Sure, there was a considerable amount of struggling, as the quail was usually larger than most common birds. Of course she was beaming with pride in herself, even if she was covered in feathers.
