hello all! my name is Rave and I am a sucker for these threads. I love one on one role playing, and I've made about three hundred of these pages before, and have definitely used these plots before. I just love 'em, so if you'd like to role play with me then let's get better acquainted c:
little rp facts about rave~
-- I'm a night role player. I'm a night owl, so I am usually on until like 3 am in the summer to compensate for the fact that I'm not on as much during the day. The only time I'm on during the day would be early afternoon. But assume I'll be on at night.hence the name of this thread
-- I like to have background and side characters, not just the mains. I tend to have a couple characters, along with my main one, just to keep things interesting. I'd expect something similar.
-- I prefer to do rps over PM. it's more convenient for me. however, if you really want to rp on a thread, please let me know when you claim a plot, or ask to rp. otherwise I just assume PM is fine.
-- I'd like to consider myself an "advanced" rper, although semi-advanced isn't a hardship for me, as long as the plot still moves and is interesting. I like to write longer posts, because I think it's fun, but it depends on muse. Definitely no one liners or one paragraph posts from me. And I tend to match whatever you give me, so I won't always throw out a huge post. Unless we're moving the rp along to something else.
-- I know have plots below, but if you want to modify it, that's fine. I'm flexible. I'm also open to duplicating, just ask and I'll let you know if I'm overwhelmed or not xD
-- almost all of my characters are lgbtq+ so i don't really rp hetero relationships anymore
-- I don't tend to role play teenagers. i like to role play older characters if the plot allows it. i usually range from late twenties to anywhere to like fifty-sixty, maybe higher, idc.
-- I promise I don't bite ;3
If you don't find any of my plots below to strike your fancy, but you'd still like to role play with me, fear not. I am open to another plot idea, or perhaps brainstorming a new one. My interests are vast and usually I'm up for anything. However, if you're looking for a starting point, here are some things I enjoy. [ sidenote: I do not usually do anything that is heavily entrenched in fandom ]
- mythology, either made up or from the real world
- ancient rome, greece, egpyt, in fact any ancient history
- history in general. any era.
- Shakespeare.i am a sucker for angsty romance
- witch-y things, magic related things, anything involving magic really
- crime related things [ genre of criminal minds, csi, bones, etc ]
- and so much more, just ask.
I even like creating plots revolving around characters. I'm very character driven when I write, so if you'd just like to brainstorm a plot around characters, that'd be peachy :3
shakespearean cakes
--- In a little town, there was no worse a feud than over delectable cakes and sweet pastries. Two family bakeries have been feuding so long they forget what exactly they're fighting over. Was it Gigi's lemon pound cake recipe, or Great Auntie's spice cookies? Either way, the families hate each other for 'stealing' each other's business and recipes. Muse A is part of one family, and they genuinely can't figure out why they hate the other family. In fact, they could care less about cake and pies and cream puffs. The baking gene has skipped them, and they don't have the heart to tell their family that they hate baking, or baking hates them. That is until they come home for the holidays and are given the task of whipping up a batch of their famous cookies. Unable to do it without the recipe [ which is kept under lock and key now that all the family knows it. ] or any idea of where to start, Muse A runs into Muse B, the head baker for the rival bakery. After knowing each other in high school, even if it was just a nod or two, Muse A desperately confides in Muse B about their conundrum. Muse B agrees to help Muse A, convincing themselves it is just to get the recipe. But as they start baking together, are they creating something other than cookies?

an artist's muse
--- The greatest artist of the age has been hidden away from years in a loft apartment in the city. Muse A is that artist, a star and a master with their medium, until they vanish into thin air. Only a few know the truth and have been secretly selling the paintings to help Muse A stay out of the light. No one knows what happened fifteen years ago that caused Muse A to lose their inspiration and love of art. Then a friend of Muse A brings them an up and coming art student who has been struggling personally in school. Muse B is down on their luck, failing out of school, dealing with a bunch of personal problems when their friend brings them to the greatest artist of the era. It is assumed by their mutual friend that they will inspire each other to make great art again. Except when a journalist approaches Muse B and wants them to spy on Muse A for money so the journalist can get an exclusive story. But can Muse B betray Muse A's trust when they begin to fall in love with one another? [ i'd prefer muse a & older-ish characters ]

magical realism involved
--- The Oak Manor is said to be haunted. Run down and far from it's usual grandeur, it has lay empty for two decades after the last owners reported eerie happenings within it. Muse A impulsively buys the place at ridiculously cheap cost in order to get out of the city and gain some peace of mind. They don't believe in ghosts, spirits, or anything like that. Muse A lives there for several weeks, cleaning it up in their spare time and enjoying the peace and quiet the secluded place affords. Until they meet Muse B, a local who had always loved the house and was instantly drawn to it and Muse A. Before long, some strange things begin to happen. Voices in empty rooms, footsteps where no one is. Muse B is incredibly superstitious and knows it is ghosts. Especially when they begin to have strange fever dreams involving the house and other faces they don't recognize. It isn't until flashbacks to memories they don't really have start do they begin to question what their connection to the Oak Manor, and Muse A is. It seems that a century old mystery is linking them together, and the spirit of Oak Manor won't rest until it is unearthed. [ i'd prefer muse b~ ]
