The Ancients
The Ancients There are only legends of them. As their organization name suggests, these creatures are ancient. Unlike the usual werewolf packs, vampire clans, witches covens, and the like, the ancients are composed of many different supernatural beings that work together as a whole comprehensive unit. They are equalizers, and in many senses, criminals. They kill those who trespass into their world. From hunters that kill their kind for the thrill to the poachers that have murdered their young. They are stories, soft spoken words to the wise about the dangers of intruding the world of the supernatural.
Entrance into their ranks is near impossible. They are ancient creatures, experienced with the way of man and among the most powerful of their kind. Though most of the actions they have taken until now have been more discreet, with the rising numbers of deaths in the supernatural they have returned once again. The Dragon Within the Ancients, there resides a truly ancient creature. The oriental dragon, one of few beings that possess the ability to shift the tide of the seas and control weather. Revered as deities and Gods in Chinese culture, they are capable of utilizing two forms. Their dragon form and their human form. They are immensely powerful, with abilities to hide in or become fire or water, become invisible, glow in the dark, or disguise themselves as silkworms. They generally do not mettle with human affairs and are not inherently violent beings. They can generally be reasoned with or told on, so they can return to where they belong. They can be only killed with either a meteorite or obsidian through the heart, though injuries inflicted by those could prove to be disastrous if it doesn't kill them and cause them to become upset. > Yu Xingfu
The Kitsune Various folktales in Japan float around about these beasts, and it's fairly accurate. Kitsune are supernatural Japanese foxes. They're born with one tail and, for the first one hundred years of its life, it remains in that one-tailed fox form. Once it hits its hundredth year, a Kitsune can start transforming into a human - and as time goes on, it can unlock the full extent of its powers. Their tails depend on how old, wise, and powerful they are; nine being the maximum. A nine-tailed Kitsune's fur will turn white or gold, rather than the traditional red. They are extremely intelligent, immortal, and have various magical powers; they're often referred to as fox spirits, though they are not ghosts. Unfortunately, Kitsune have trouble hiding their tails while in human form - get one drunk or surprise one, and it may be spooked back into its original form. They're able to create realistic illusions, and they enjoy tricking people; it's one of the things they're best at. From time to time, they may possess a human, and it's only through the fox's own will or an exorcism that they can be removed. A Kitsune can be killed by cutting of all of its tails, which is a rather hefty task to take on. > Fushimi Taro
The Vampires
Among supernatural creatures, they are one of the most popularized in modern media despite shoddy depictions of their kind. These beings possess super speed, super strength, and super stamina. They are immortal, can walk in the sunlight with no repercussions, and they must drink blood to survive otherwise their abilities weaken. Vampires who feed on animals are weaker than those who feed on humans. They can briefly shapeshift into wolves, bats, or snakes or even an shapeless mist. They can only be killed with a stake through the heart. Any injury caused by a stake will leave a scar. They heal from wounds caused by any other material at an accelerated rate and might cause them some discomfort at most. They are not impacted by holy water and crosses. They are also indifferent of werewolves. > Alphonse Fournier, Ferris Blackwood
The Werewolves
Also known as just 'wolves', they're popular in media and do not have any anger towards vampires - if anything, they're indifferent. These creatures possess enhanced hearing and enhanced scenting even while in human-form, and they're faster, stronger, and have higher stamina than the average human. They're immortal and have the ability to heal quicker than a human would, and they can shift into a wolf at will. However, a full moon will force the werewolf to shift into its wolf form, and it lasts until sunrise. Young wolves will lose control and hold a thirst for a hunt - human or animal - on a full moon, whereas trained wolves will be able to control themselves and their bloodthirst. They are quadruped, and appear as various kinds of wolves - their sizing can heavily depend, but they're usually larger than a normal wolf. Though fairly resistant to injuries, silver weaponry; bullets, knives, etcetera, will harm them and will always leave a scar, no matter how minor the wound. Silver makes them uncomfortable and blocks their senses, too. Wolves tend to have a strong pack mentality, and thus they're prone to being territorial and violent to each-other and those who stray into their territory. > Gale Amari, Quinn O'Sullivan
The Witches Not at all like the green, warty women, witches are actually...human in appearance. They can be any gender, not just female, and they rely heavily on magic. They can create potions to heal, to harm, to enhance their abilities and others' (if they so desire) as well as various other potions depending on skill, and they can quick-cast some minor spells for various things; binding people/things, and so on. They don't know any killing spell, but they have a decent variety. Many witches also dip into demon-summoning; with drawn runes and an ancient demonic tongue, they can summon imps (of the elemental kind) to do their bidding, though it's temporary and they must physically banish the demon. It takes up some of their energy, but is often worth it. Though the oldest witch's age is not recorded, they age very slowly rather than being immortal; their physical body will, as time goes on, age and grow. Some witches reach up to four thousand, but most seem to have a cap of one thousand or so, since their magic gets expended over time. If a witch is restrained from their magic, then they will be nothing more than a human; their age may catch up to them and thus they often crumble into dust. They can also be killed by various means - anything that can kill a human, unless they've injested a potion of defense as a temporary measure. Witches always have a familiar - the animal is dependent on what the witch likes, though they seem adverse to canine, for some reason. > [claimed], Character Name
The Sirens Sirens are creatures of immense power. They are known for their ability to control the minds of humans and weak willed hunters for short periods of time with the lull of their voices and music. They can exist outside of water without any repercussions, but near bodies of waters their abilities seem to become stronger and may show some pull on stronger will hunters and even weak supernatural creatures. They take on human forms outside of water and contrary to popular belief are not all female and can be any gender. Once immersed in water, they take upon their original form. They are immortal creatures, only capable of being injured and killed by fire and only when they are far from a body of water. They are not extremely strong or fast, but if they escape to a body of water, chances of killing them are slim. > [claimed], Character Name
The Shapeshifters Shapeshifters are beings that have the ability to completely change the physical form and shape they possess. These beings are able to turn into any animal in existence and can shift the details of their forms such as differing pelt colors, eye colors, and size shifting as long as it's physically possible. These beings all have a certain form they are originally, and the ones among the ancients are human formed shapeshifters. This means, after shapeshifting, they're form locked to their original form as a human. Depending on how long they shifted previously, they can't shift for a cool down after that, causing them to have to be careful about how they utilize their abilities. In addition, there's rumors about how shapeshifters do not know their true origin form. They are not immortal, but instead age at a very slow rate and some can live up to be two thousand years old. Since they shapeshift, these signs of age does not show. They are essentially human and can die through any means, from old age to injury to illness. As they age, their abilities also seem to weaken. Old shifters have shown trouble shifting and having less power in general. They are capable of calling upon either the strength, speed, agility, or stamina of a creature they can shift into in their human forms though as a means to protect their more vulnerable form. > Character Name, Character Name

Hunters
For nearly as long as supernatural creatures have existed, so have the Imperial Brotherhood. Deemed the champions of humanity, the protector of the weak, and many other titles, they are the watch dogs of a fine divide. Blessed by a pact of blood for life, they are granted immortality, super strength, super speed, high durability, high stamina, and quick regeneration from grievous wounds. They are unkillable under the pact. They are hunters and devote themselves to the path of keeping humanity safe The only way to destroy their pact is to turn them into a supernatural creature, whether it be a vampire, werewolf, or something else. Once they have turned, their pact will have been removed, they will become susceptible to death through the means of said creature.
They are generally not despised by the supernatural communities because they keep the violent ones in line. They are the ones that sort out pack conflicts that get out of hand, the ones that keep track of boundaries and supernatural societies. They make sure the world of the supernatural stay safe and unknown as a means to keep the human world safe. They harvest the parts of dead supernatural creatures if they are not claimed from time to time to fund for their organization. They also make certain deaths caused by supernatural means are covered up, they pursue the ones responsible for it, and take care of them. They only kill creatures that cause too much trouble.
The Poachers
Poachers are usually members from the Imperial Brotherhood gone bad - though there are a few who entered through the human world. These people will actively seek out supernatural creatures - innocent ones - and they'll kill or capture them to sell in the Black Market. The prices are sky-high for parts of these creatures, and even higher for living specimens; for rich people who want an exotic pet or just some trophies, it's heaven. For the Poachers, it's where they get rich. They sell vampire fangs and blood, werewolf hides and claws, siren scales, shapeshifter body parts; name it, and it's probably there. Even witch-familiars get caught up in it, sold on as talking pets. They're well-hidden and a constant lingering threat - these people will travel anywhere in the world to meet the rising demands for supernatural beings, be it their body parts and hides or their family members. There are even various fighting rings around the world where they pit creatures against each-other; long ago, they stole the runes from a family of witches to learn how to control these supernatural creatures in a contained environment. They are cruel and unusual, and they don't care who they hurt - children, parents, spouses. They think that the supernatural kind don't deserve to live.
