"Good. I do mean it," Amera said, glancing at the tire before back at him. She gave him a smile. "Thanks for changing my tire. Do you need a ride home?"

"I can take you all the way home, if you want. I'm not in a hurry to get anywhere," Amera said as she took her keys out of her pocket, closing the back door and starting around to the driver's seat. "I promise I won't stalk you."

Amera smiled as she buckled up and stuck the keys in the ignition, the car rumbling to life with a turn of her wrist. "I'll decide later how you can repay me," she said. She paused to turn on the AC and put his address into her GPS app before shifting gears into drive and pulling out onto the road. "Maybe start by writing your number down somewhere. There's a pen in the center console."

Amera noticed his struggle out of the corner of her eye. "Oh. Here," she said. She took a hand off the wheel and reached into the back seat, the car swerving a little to the left before she produced a napkin and corrected it. She handed him the paper. "Sorry."

"Mhm," Amera hummed, glancing at him before turning her attention back to the road. "I don't think I ever caught your name, either."

"Amera," she said. She slowed to a stop at a sign before turning right when the GPS told her to. "How old are you?"

(( Nah that's fine ))
"Wow, I didn't know I was helping a senior citizen," Amera joked with a teasing smile and a glance in his direction. "I'm eighteen."

"I didn't think I was being disrespectful," Amera laughed, casting him a glance with a lingering smile. "I'm already out, I graduated early."

Amera snorted in amusement, trying not to look as smug as the compliments made her feel. "Thanks," she said with a small laugh. "I'm going, but I still don't know what I want to do. Are you in college?"

"Oh, no wonder you were so nonchalant about helping me," she said with a quirked smile. "Do you have a thing for cars?"

"That's cool. I don't know much about cars, but Mitsubishis are important to my family for some reason," Amera said, eyes darting to the sides of the road as they entered town and pedestrians became a hazard. "Is there a specific kind you like?

"Woah, there," Amera said at his moan, laughing as well. "You didn't even have to think about it, huh? It sounds expensive, but nice."

"Alright," Amera said. Following his instructions and ignoring the wonky, more complicated ones from the GPS, she slowed to a stop at the light. When it turned green she drove through and took a left, slowing down around the apartments. "Which one?"

Amera laughed as she pulled up and came to a stop in front of the apartment, putting the gear in park and peering out at the fountain. "Maybe it used to work. It doesn't look bad, at least," she said before shifting her attention to him. "Thanks again for fixing my car. I'll call you sometime."
