Currentpaw was gasping heavily as she ran with her clanmates. Her heart raced and her eyes were scanning everywhere for potential wolves. Paranoia seemed to set in as the smallest sound made her fear the wolves would show up any minute. She glanced at her mentor worriedly, her eyes wide and panicked. "What are we going to do?" she yelled out, gasping, though her words could barely be heard by anyone through the panic

Arcticstrike watched as his wounded clanmates joined him on the forest floor. Limping over to Rosepaw he spoke, "Only Starclan can help him now", he said solemly before nosing the apprentice forward. "Come now, we must get back to the safety of the camp. Poolingwater take the rear and warn us if you hear the wolves coming out way", he meowed knowing the she-cat had excellent hearing. Giving one last glance in Hawkcrys direction Arcticstrike then took the lead and did his best to run as fast as he could in the direction of camp. He had puncture marks on his left hind leg from where one of the wolves grabbed him and tossed him off of them. His injured leg caused him to run as a reasonable pace for the rest of the injured patrol. Exiting the Shadow Woods the warrior did his best to lead his clanmates to safety.
((Nettle can be Pebbles mentor then, he seems for of a better fit))

Ivysong started to purr as she felt her mate start to groom her pelt in the places she had been unable to reach. Opening her dark green eyes to look at him she twitched her whiskers as the scent of vole his her nose. Sniffing it out and finding it at the edge of her nest the dark sandy queen grabbed it and moved it with her paws so it was directly in front of her. "Thank you", she meowed taking a bite and savoring the taste of the tiny creature. "Here share with me. You must keep up your strength as well", she meowed not wanting her mate to fall ill or victim to the wolves.

((@brambleclaw13 it was the patrol that got attacked not the camp if you'd like to edit your post you can have Currentpaw there with her mentor and Mosspebble there too if youd like. But Pebblepaw can be in camp since his mentor is in the nursery. He could just be returning from his hunting assignment or something ))

(Ah I'm sorry my mistake! There were so many injured cats I thought it was camp. I'll fix that and just place it here ^_^ )
Pebblepaw was returning from a recent hunting patrol and had came back with only a scrawny mouse. Though he was an apprentice, this was still poor for him and the gray apprentice huffed as he brought it to the nursery to offer to Ivysong since she was heavily pregnant and needed to keep he strength up. He glanced into the nursery, not wanting to disturb, but upon seeing she already had food, he backed out with a dip of his head, embarrassed by his interruption.

RosePaw looked in the direction HawkCry had vanished and nodded his head, his ears pined back as he heard a pained yowl close by. "I know. Let's go then." The last thing the tom wanted to do was leave behind his mentor but he knew that no one was in a state to go after the wolves. His own wounds were starting to sting and he kept his front right paw off the ground as the pain from his missing claw went up his leg when he stood on it.
--
PoolingWater nodded quickly and padded to the back of the group, nosing cats to their feet and forward before taking her position. The she-cat kept her ears perked and her jaws parted, alert for any sign of the wolves doubling back on them. She didn't want anything else to happen to them as she knew that if they did have another run in they wouldn't be leaving with just wounds.

(Sorry, I'd fallen asleep XD) Soaringflower did her best to keep up to her clanmates, limping hard as she forced herself faster and faster in spite of the pain coming from every inch of her. She skidded after her clanmates, inelegant and uncoordinated in her pain but she didn't especially care as she charged from the shadow woods. Following as best as she could manage as the group began to make their slow and strenous journey back to camp. The warrior could only pray she would make it back to see her mate one last time, as pain made her every movement near impossible, and blood continued to seep from her many wounds. She wasn't sure she would even make it as she struggled onwards. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Realising she was indeed up, the handsome tom settled beside his mate and stretched out beside her. Continuing his soft and affectionate grooming as she hungrily at, he scoffed and shook his head firmly. "You're sharing with enough as it is, having kits in your belly. I'm not taking another bite," was his response. Though he did look a little hungrily as he watched her eat, trying to ignore his own aching stomach.

As Arcticstrike neared the camps entrance he heard a meow and looked up to see Creekstar bounding towards the patrol. Doing his best to hold himself together the white tom approached his leader and hung his head with exhaustion. "The wolves attacked our patrol Creekstar, we barley got away", he said his voice was raspy and shifted his weight so he wasn't standing on his injured hind leg.
Creekstar was surprised to see Arcticstrike at the head of the patrol. As he listened to the tom speak the leader looked over the entire patrol. Everyone had some sort of injury and then he suddenly felt a sinking feeling when he didn't see Hawkcry. "Where is Hawkcry?!", He said urgently looking behind the group to see if he was coming.
Arcticstrikes eyes filled with pain and he looked up at Creekstar. "He was the only reason we are all alive. We were stuck in a small clump of young birch trees and the wolves we're jumping up at us and hitting the trees causing them to shake. Hawkcry bravely gave his life and led the wolves away from us so we could get away", the tom meowed solemnly looking back to the others in his patrol.
Creekstar wanted to go and avenge his beloved friend and deputy so bad that the leader started to growl. The sound came deep from within and his tail lashed back and forth. He knew that there was nothing he could do for Hawkcry. "He will be missed greatly", he meowed after a long moment of silence. "Come quickly into the camp", he said not wanting the wolves to have followed their scent back to camp. "Head straight for Fallendews den to get your wounds cared for.... I must tell the clan of Hawkcry", Creekstar could barely say his friends name.
Arcticstrike nodded and led the way into camp and straight towards the medicine cats den, limping the whole way. "Fallendews!", He called out.

Her heart raced as she struggled on, eyes widenening at the familiar scent of her mate, the warrior paused to burry her muzzle in his flank with a soft whimper. The slender shecat barely able to keep herself on her paws from her injuries but in that moment needing the touch of the tom she loved. She was shaking from head to paw as she turned and struggled after the rest of her patrol, slumping to one side when they eventually reached the safety of camp. Unconscious on the ground from blood loss and unable to move from where she lay. The very slight swell of her stomach now a little more obvious than it was when she stood, though it was so marred with claws and bite marks that the extent to which the kits within were still alive was impossible to tell without further inspection.

FallenDew heard her name and started to tidy up hr herbs but the the scent of blood wafted over her and she instead grabbed her herbs and raced out of the medicine cats den. Setting them down she looked at the approaching patrol with wide eyes before collecting herself and speaking. "Who has the worst wounds? Those need to be treated first. We don't want anyone getting infections."
--
PoolingWater padded up to the medicine cat and showed her the deep marks on her haunches and sides. "Two of them got me pretty deep and they haven't stopped bleeding yet. It's making me a bit light headed." After she spoke she watched FallenDew race off and then return with cobwebs. PoolingWater flinched in pain as the webs were pressed against her wounds.
--
RosePaw looked around before flicking his tail to ArcticStrike. "ArcticStrike got hurt pretty bad. His wounds should be treated." His eyes shown with grief over the sadness of the loss of his mentor. HE sat down now, content to be patient and wait till the medicine cat had time to look at his wounds.

Currentpaw breathed heavily as she felt a sense of safeness within her clan's camp. Out of the corner of her eye she could see a gray figure rushing towards her before touching muzzles with the apprentice.
"Currentpaw! Are you alright? Oh my gosh I can't believe you were out there" Mosspebble, Currentpaw's older sister, frantically licked her fur. She backed away and dipped her head. "I'm alright Mosspebble...others are in worse conditions" Currentpaw murmured looking down, still traumatized by the events that had occurred.
Pebblepaw noticed his friend Rosepaw apart of the injured patrol. His eyes went to Currentpaw, but she seemed fairly unscathed, while Rosepaw seemed the most traumatized. Carefully Pebblepaw padded over and looked at his friend. "Rosepaw... You should go get checked out by Fallendew..." he muttered, not truly knowing what to say.

Creekstar embraced his mate as she buried herself into his fur. Normally the tom would purr when Soaringflower would press against him like that but his heart felt so heavy with the news of Hawkcry. Following them into the camp he stayed at his mates side concerned about her injuries. When she collapsed Creekstar started to nose her, "Soaringflawer?", he said looking for signs of life. "Fallendew! Come quick!", he said raising his voice at he hovered over his mate protectively barley seeing her chest rise and fall from her breathing. He could not loose her too, not her and his best friend in the same day.

(Would I actually be allowed to make a medicine cat apprentice? I've never roleplayed one before and would actually quite like to try [plus plot advancement just a tiny bit] but I'd genuinely like to)

(Yes absolutely! Make your apprentice young though because Fallendew is still a fairly young medicine cat.)

Arcticstrike laid himself down at the entrance of the medicine cats den and waited for Fallendew to treat his wounds. CLosing his eyes images of the battle with the wolves flashed in his head. Memories of him fighting side by side with Hawkcry. Then the most recent memory of Hawkcry looking at him from within the top of the small trees giving him the unmistakable look of him pretty much saying goodbye before leaping down and yelling for the patrol to run before his tail disappeared into the forest. Hearing then suddenly Creekstar calling for Fallendew it jerked him out of his memories and caused him to open his eye and look their direction curiously.

Name: Sparkpaw Age: 8 moons old Gender: Shecat Rank: Medicine Cat Apprentice Virtues: Intelligence and Wit Description: Of smaller size, she has a thick black coat marked dark reddish brown at the undercoat giving her an unusual appearance, her thick fur gives her a mane like appearance around her neck, and leaves her ears with long tufts at the ends not dissimilar to a lynx. Her eyes are deep green colour, like the colour of grass during newleaf. Personality: As a young kit, she was named for her incredible energy levels, it was unknown if she ever actually slept as it seemed she was always on the move. However, when her parents were killed to the wolves, she quickly lost this energy and became withdrawn compared to what she once was. That kind cat is still there, but it is largely burried beneath the pain of her loss. It was this which drove her to become a medicine cat, so she could stop cats from dying. History: Clan born cat, her parents were killed by wolves. Relationships: Anyone who could be her siblings and parents is fine by me Other: Should I stay or Should I go

Sparkpaw had returned to camp from an outing in an attempt to find herbs, her meagre findings in her jaws but they were quickly dropped when the scent of blood reached her nose and she realised that something seemed to be very wrong. Hearing the sound of her leader desperately calling for the medicine cat, the young shecat approached her leader with panic in her eyes. Forcing herself to calm down, you'll be of no use to anyone if you're terrified yourself, Sparkpaw mentally scolded herself for the initial fear and she approached the leader and her mate.
"StarClan, what happened?" She demanded, though didn't wait for an answer. Pulling the cobwebs from her pile and quickly beginning to apply them to the bleeding wounds of the shecat. Whilst she had not been doing her work very long as the apprentice of the medicine cat, she had been learning dilligently. And fortunately applying cobwebs was a relatively simple job for her to fulfill with little skill necessary to the task.
Running her paws over the shecats frame searching for any further signs of wounds not initially visible to the eye. The small apprentice froze as she reached the shecat's stomach. Hesitating, leaving her paws there for a split second she growled at the leader at what she noticed here. "Why in the name of starclan did you let her go on the patrol?"

The queen hesitantly continued to eat and stopped with a little bit left of the little creature. "Here I'm full. The kits are growing so big it leave no room for me to eat very much", she meowed wanting her mate to at least eat a little bit of something. As Ivysong pushed the vole over to Nettlemask she could hear some sort of commotion occurring outside of the den and within the camp clearing. "What is happening?", she asked nervously and instinctively the fur along her spine started to bristle. Being in her current physical state it didn't take much to spook the heavy queen.

Sighing and knowing better than to assume he would be able to convince his mate otherwise once her mind had been made up, he at the remnants of the prey in about half a bite. It filled his belly enough to quieten the sharp hunger pains from within, and he straightened with a sigh. He'd have continued his attempts at grooming her when he too recognised the sharp metallic smells of blood. Resting his tail over her shoulder protectively, a low growl slipping from his lips as he panicked for a split second that there might have been an attack on camp. The wolves were getting more and more brave every day, and he was terrified of the day they located the clan camp. "Stay here," he warned her firmly and slipped from the den in silence, seeing the destruction around him, Nettlemask's eyes widened in shock at the camp of injured cats. He turned back to his mate, remaining in the entrance on the off chance the threat had not been chased away. He'd have happily died protecting the shecat he loved. "It appears their has been an attack," he explained calmly. Not wishing to distress her more than was absolutely necessary.

"What do you mean?! We need every able warrior out on patrols to keep the clan fed and safe", Creekstar meowed surprised at being scolded by the young she-cat. He looked down at his mate worry in his eyes and looked her over, oblivious to her slightly round belly. "Whats wrong with her?", he pressed not understanding why she had said what she had said.

Carefully removing her paws from the unconscious queen, shaking her head. "Has she not told you," whilst she couldn't be certain it would appear to her that the warrior was maybe a moon along. The cat should have begun to notice the signs of something not being entirely right and come to either herself or the mentor. Did she even know? She wondered to herself, but first she had news to deliver to a seemingly unsuspecting father. "It would seem your mate is carrying kits," she explained quietly.

"What?! An Attack?!", Ivysong mewed nervously and awkwardly pushed herself to her paws her heavy belly rocking back and forth as she prepped herself to be ready to fight or run. "We need to leave! I can't have my kits here, they wouldn't make it. The wolves will eat them!" Her meow was full of distress as she voiced her fears about the wolves. The queens fur was standing on end, her claws were out, and her eyes were wide with fear for her unborn kits.
"What?.... No shes not", Creekstar meowed denying his mate pregnancy. Soaringflower had never mentioned anything to him and he knew that she would have if she knew she was. The tom grew silent as he gazed down at his mate, his mind racing. If she did know why didn't she tell him? Was it because she knew he wouldn't let her do her duty as a warrior to help the clan if he knew she was carrying his kits? He had so many questions for her but they all faded away as he noticed the she-cats belly slightly rounder than normal. Suddenly he felt a love for his mate that he had never known before. He had definitely loved her before this, but her now carrying his kits some how made that love grow to an untouched depth.

Mosspebble after reassuring Currentpaw was alright, padded over to Arcticstrike who seemed to be in a daze. She was familiar with the tom, having briefly been apprentices alongside him though he was made a warrior soon after. She had enjoyed her brief apprentice days with the tom and though they rarely talked as much nowadays, Mosspebble still felt a friendship with the warrior. "Hey uh, I know you were on that patrol... I'm sorry about what happened I can't imagine...

"Calm down," the tom's words were sudden but soothing, putting himself between her and the exit to nursery. Not wanting her to get herself and the kits hurt from distress, "Ivysong, please sit down. You're not doing our kits any favours by panicking so much," he told her firmly nuzzling her ear. Though in fairness he very much shared her fears, he didn't want his kits born in such terrible conditions. He rested his long tail on her shoulder, though he wouldn't force her to settle down, he wasn't about to let her get herself hurt.
Nudging the leader's paw with the tip of her nose, she took the foot and placed it against the skinny warriors side and straightened up again. It took a moment, for the kits inside were only small and still relatively undeveloped, probably stiller than they normally would have been from the ordeal their mother had been through. But fortunately, as far as they could tell the unborn life inside was still alive. After a few seconds of waiting, inside could be felt a very slight squirming sensation as the warrior's ragged breaths continued to be broken and harsh. The little lives inside could be felt moving and very lightly kicking.

Arcticstrike looked over to Mosspebble when she came up to him and he flicked his tail welcomingly. He definitely did not wish to be alone with his thoughts right now and was grateful for her appearance. "We fought so hard... they were just so much stronger", he said honestly to his old friend.
Creekstar let the young apprentice guide his paw and place it gently on his mates belly. After a moment he suddenly felt a tiny movement from within Soaringflowers belly. He perked up and looked to Sparkpaw with such joy, "I'm going to have kits", he meowed before looking back down at his mate. "But whats wrong with her? Why is she unconscious?", he asked still very much so worried about her and now to life of his unborn kits. He then began to lick her face to try and get her to awaken.
Ivysong took a deep breath and did her best to calm down. Have her mate close to her helped her immensely. "I just want to be in a safe place", she meowed her voice still full of worry as she pressed her muzzle into Nettlemasks shoulder. After a moment she pulled away as sat down calmer than she had been. "Why don't you do and see if you can help and find out what had happened", she suggested wanting him to go make sure that everyone was okay. She cared deeply about her clanmates and didn't want any of them to be hurt.

"Blood loss," I hope, though she didn't say as much aloud for fear of only furthering the tom's worries especially so soon after having lost his best friend. The young aprentice lowered her nose to the shecat's flank as sniffed at it, checking her handiwork from applying the cobwebs. "She's lucky the kits made it through an attack like that, you're mate is a strong one," Sparkpaw meowed with a half hearted chuckle. There was little laughter in it though, after everything her clan had been through there was almost no humour left in any of them.
Soaringflower, let out a small mew as she began to slowly return to consciousness under the thorough licking of her mate. Blinking her eyes open, to find both her leader and the medicine cat apprentice watching her intently. "Oof," she grumbled tiredly. "Will you get that paw off my side, I can barely breathe," she chuckled weakly. Unbeknownst to any of the conversaiton that had just been on. Dizzy from unconsciousness and struggling to keep her eyes open from the blood loss which still left her weak.
Nodding in agreement, though not enjoying having to leave his mate. The tom turned and licked her between the ears one final time, before ducking beneath the exit to the nursery and into the main part of camp.
