Introduction
"Once upon a time..." The boy sitting next to you starts. The ship rocks as the flashlight under the boy's chin makes his face look devilish, "On this very ship, there were two soldiers, Sydney and Percy." The boys yellowish-teeth flashed as he told his story, "They were bunkmates." The girl sitting two people down on your left side snickered, "Wow. That's so scary." Her sarcasm made a couple other girls snicker.
"Geez," The boy telling the story rolled her eyes, "Just listen, will you, Sienna?" He cleared his throat as the group of girls finally shut up, "One night, Sydney heard a slight rustling in the empty bunk next to theirs. The soldier who used to sleep there suffered a... mysterious demise." He emphasized the last words with a huff of breath, "Shaken, Sydney awoke Percy from his sleep and pointed to the moving bedsheets."
You lean forward, intrigued, "The lifted up the covers to find nothing." Sienna and the other girls gasped in mock horror. The boy rolled his eyes once again, "Sydney was terrified. He heard a thump behind him and whipped around. Percy lay there on the ground, eyes rolled back, no visible wounds. Sydney held back from screaming and lowered himself to the ground and felt his friend's pulse. His hand felt no movement. Percy was dead."
Your heart lurches, "What happened to Sydney?" You blurt out. The boy grins that his story is getting attention, "Let me finish." She cleared his throat once again, "Sydney felt his heart racing. What happened to Percy was a mystery to him. He turned the man around and found a gaping wound in the back of his neck. Sydney looked around, eyes wild and frantic."
"Like a dying cow!" One of the younger boys called out. The girls started with their snickering again. "I'm not going to finish the story if you don't shut up." The boy scolded in exasperation.
When the group became silent again, the boy resumed the tale, "Percy sank to his knees with his head in his hands, 'This is all my fault,' He muttered to himself. Suddenly, a searing pain arose in the back of his neck, 'AhhHH!' He screeched and his world blacked out. He never woke up again, and he never found the murderer." An evil grin spread once again across the storyteller's face, "All twenty-seven soldier that were once killed by this mysterious murderer still search the boat for the killer."

His flashlight wavered, "Many have been killed as these corrupt soldiers search this vessel. Many say it was one of the mentors. Will you be the next to be... shipped out?"
