(I swear I clicked post reply XD sorry about that)
Rolling her eyes with a chuckle at the indignant response of her mate, she moved to dodge his swat, stumbling a little but was quick to rebalance herself in spite of the weight swinging beneath her which otherwise made her life rather difficult when it came to movement. "Proud mousebrain," she said with a rumbling purr. Attempting to batter him back with a swat of her own dark paw, missing by a long shot and slipping where she stood when she did. A grunt of pain slipping from her lips, struggling to sit back up with a heaving motion, "Great StarClan, they can't come soon enough," she grumbled. The pain not quite fading and leaving her uncomfortable.

Longstar didn't see any problem in being a little proud, feeling that way gave him a little more confidence in his decisions and helping him believe that he was doing the right thing. He had every reason to be, really, though his clan knew that he held them all in the highest regard, being leader didn't make him any different from even the youngest kit. But he was distracted for a moment when Dawnwatcher slipped, so he moved, using his head to help push her back up again. "Are you okay?" He meow came out in a worried tone as she managed to sit up again, licking his mate between the ears rather hurriedly, "Maybe you should get some rest and head back to the nursery." He couldn't help but be worried when the safety of his mate and his unborn kits came into the equation. "Besides," he added, "I can't just sit around here all day. Cats look up to me and they won't think very highly of me if I just stay here sharing tongues all day, even if that is what I would quite like to do."

"Good morning," Longstar meowed politely in response at the sudden appearance of Riverheart, dipping his head slightly in greeting. He almost thought about asking if their medicine cat could take a look over Dawnwatcher, just to make sure everything was alright, but he didn't want to seem pushy and overly worried about things, so decided to keep his mouth closed. "I hear that Duskstep has been grumbling about an old battle wound aching," he instead offered, a slight glint in his eyes of amusement, "So maybe you could go and see to that stubborn tom." While he did appreciate that warrior, Longstar knew the large tabby never wanted to look weak and often refused help. "I think he is in the warriors den, I haven't seen him yet this morning."

crowpaw smiled, amber eyes wide. they quite enjoyed hunting for the elders because that meant that they would get to listen to some of their amazing stories. they weren't sure how true these stories was, but they enjoyed them nonetheless. crowpaw's mind raced as they tried to figure out which elders enjoyed which kind of prey, but they soon found themself drawing a blank. mousedung, they thought, whiskers twitching, i guess anythign will be fine. food is food. the black apprentice shrugged before setting out towards the camp entrance. "sounds awesome!" they called over their shoulder, giving goldenwind no time to catch up before they ducked out of the birchclan camp and into the forest.

In all honestly, Goldenwind didn't really want to go hunting. If she had her way she would get in some sleep before no doubt being dragged off on another patrol or sent hunting. But she she-cat didn't want to disappoint her apprentice, and it was her duty to train them into a warrior that BirchClan would be proud of. And the ginger she-cat was already proud of the apprentice and she did know they would turn into a fine warrior some day. "Alright then," she just confirmed with a brisk nod of her head, taking a moment to stretch out her long limbs. However, before she could even meow another word, she looked up just in time to see Crowpaw's tail vanish into the trees. "Crowpaw!" Goldenwind was quick to spring to her paws, watching no time in bolting after the apprentice. Lucky for her, with her long legs it meant she was pretty quick and it wasn't too long before she spotted a black pelt running in front of her. "Slow down."

"no, you stoo being so slow!" they retorted with a playful flick of their tail. the black sped up a bit, hoping to stretch out their legs before training. and if it meant goldenwind had to chase them for a while... that would be fine too. they knew they wouldn't too far, on account of their short legs and small stature, but it would be fun nonetheless.

Goldenwind's flanks were heaving with every breath as he bound after the runaway apprentice, stretching her long legs out to their fullest extent to try and cover as much ground as possible. Her paws almost glided over the terrain, eyes focused on Crowpaw out in front of her just to make sure she didn't lose sight of them. Leaping over a log with one large jump, the she-cat slipped a little as she landed, but was quick to shake it off and keep in running. Eventually, the golden she-cat managed to catch up, jumping in front of Crowpaw to stop them in their tracks. "Alright, no more running," she managed to get out between sharp breaths, "Well scare all the prey off at this rate."

Riverheart βSure my leader,β she padded to the warriors den βDuskstep?β She called βI would like to see you in the medicine cats den please.β She sat there pashently than licked her chest.

If it was not for the steady rise and fall of Duskstep's side, you might be mistaken into thinking he was dead. With his tail curled around him and nose pressed under it, the tabby tom was quite comfortable in his sleep. Though it was not to last, ears twitching irritably as the sound of Riverheart from outside the den woke him from his slumber. Irritably, the tom sat himself up, shaking out his short fur before standing, padding towards the entrance. "What for?" he asked, cold amber eyes staring at the younger she-cat almost judgementally, "If you want help with something, can't you bother one of the apprentices?"

Riverheart βI want to examine you, you seem in pain, if you donβt mind Iβm hear to help, not harmβ she informed the warrior, βand if I needed help I would have go straight for a apprenticeβ

Duskstep narrowed his eyes a fraction, lashing his tail from side to side. "I'm fine," he meowed stubbornly, staring down the she-cat, "I don't need, or want, your help." It was just a bit of an ache in his back left leg from an old wound, but it was nothing that he couldn't handle. In his many moons of being a warrior, he could handle a little aching pain from time to time. Besides, it was fine for the most part, it only started aching when he was on his paws walking around for too long. "Now go back to organizing your herbs or whatever you do when no one needs your help and leave me alone."

I have no time for you to be pretending to not be in pain!β She snapped βif you want go into battle with a hurt leg! Unless you want to be examined then thatβs fineβ she hissed quietly under her breath.

Duskstep stared the other cat down, feeling an anger starting to brew in his chest. Why wouldn't this bothersome medicine cat just leave him alone already? "I'm not in pain. I think I can tell when I'm in pain and when I'm not," he practically hissed at her, pulling himself up to his full height, amber orbs just staring harshly at the she-cat in front of him. "And I am perfectly capable of fighting any cat at the moment. There is nothing wrong. I'm fine." But he wanted to make it quite clear that he was done with this conversation so simply turned and started to pad in the opposite direction, not even looking back.

βLongstar will hear of this behavior of yoursβ she padded off βlongstar?β She called β I have to talk to you about Duskstep.β She said studdering a bit. βHis behavior towards me is very well.β She paused.

(sorry! i've been making a new clan! want to join per chance?)
Shaking her head as she retained her dignity at least somewhat, her long tail flicking from side to side in frustration at her own uselessness in this state. Touching her nose to his ear with a rumbling sigh, "I might go back to my nest," she admitted resting against his shoulder for a brief second before turning away. "I need a sleep."

{ I did see it, but honestly, I can't really read the posts. Small cursive text and my eyes is not a good combination }
Longstar felt a purr of his own rumble in his throat before he nodded, licking once more behind the ears. "Okay," he meowed, brushing his tail against her flank, "Go and get some rest." His eyes shone for a moment, gaze turning to watch Riverheart pad back over to him. "Looks like I have things to be doing now," he added almost with amusement before pushing himself to his paws again. Only then did he turn his attention to the medicine cat, sighing just a little, blue gaze trying to spot the stubborn warrior. "Maybe I could speak to him for you?"

"starclan forbid i stretch my legs after being stuck in camp," the groaned. the dark cat halted besides their mentor. they were right, after all. there was no point in hunting if there was no prey to hunt. crowpaw's whiskers twitched as the looked around the open forest, jaws parted slightly to take in all the scents around them. "anything specific we're looking for?" he asked.

Goldenwind gave her apprentice an almost disapproving look, "Stretching your legs is fine. Just don't go running off without me." Sometimes she did wish that her apprentice listened to her a little more, but at least they had slowed down and stopped crashing through the undergrowth. But now, the ginger she-cat was wondering if there was going to be any prey around from all the racket Crowpaw had been making. "No, nothing specific," she responded, eyes scanning for any sign of life, parting her jaw to breathe in all the scents of the woods, "Whatever we can get our paws on which we can feed the elders." Taking a couple of pawsteps forward, the warrior's ears twitched just a little, head turning to the left, "Tell me what you smell."
