"It went well and went a bit later than I think it should've gone." Levent replied. "I'll try to train earlier today if I get the time..." He said. "Will you be going to the market again today?" He asked, trying to make light conversation. Adelaide nodded as she listened, eyebrows raising a little as he asked her a question and she smiled. “I don’t think so, maybe if I have a break during the day and find myself growing bored of the palace. Have you ever been?” Her cheeks suddenly flush and she quickly adds. “I’m not sure how easily you’re allowed to leave the palace grounds or not.”

(Arkady is open right now I supposed except he's in the rebellion. I might shift Levent to being a castle guard and make the king's name Serhan instead to fit more with the canon story I'm writing for Meviah (except he still has all the same personality traits and etc.))

You think by now, that I would've learned not to play with fire if I don't want to get burned.

(I put Levent as a place-holder sort of character for the king, now I promise I will stop changing my characters XD)

Merve got up and left Adelaide alone with the king. She went back into the kitchen and ordered the cooks who had just woken up to start making a simple breakfast for everyone in the palace. Once they'd made the first batch, she and two maids took it out to the palace barracks where the royal guards stayed, and set them along the mess hall table of the barracks.
(cause like this story universe is the only one where I have a huge family line of OCs, the Terzi family, which Levent is canonically a part of)

(Can griffins become King's Guard?
It sounds like a bit of a stupid question but I wasn't sure so I was just wondering)

Merve finished setting the plates around the table and turned to Celena when she whistled at her. "Good morning Celena." She smiled. "I hope you like the food, you can thank Adelaide for getting the new spices last night."

Merve blushed a bit and sat down on the bench next to Celena. She took a bowl for herself and ate quietly. She gazed around at the soldiers in the barracks. "Seems like some of the soldiers will be sent South soon to check on the rumours about a rebellion. If it's as they say, this could turn into a civil war."

Merve just laughed. "He can't send you! You're the head of the royal guard!" She smiled. "Your position here is safe, I doubt they'd let you leave the city. No, it's only the military that is going, not the guard." She knew Serhan well and she had never heard of any king sending his personal guard away on some mission.

"It's not about being good enough to do it, the military and guard have completely different roles." Merve said. "Serhan's only been king for maybe a month, I doubt he's caused you so much grief already." She chuckled.
"If you suggest I go with you that may be a good idea..." The king thought about it. It'd be a good distraction for a while but the advisors would throw a fit. A fact which only emboldened Serhan's motivation to do it anyway. He sat up and finished the rest of he's tea. "I'd have to go change into something more commoner-like." He said, while already dressed pretty plainly anyone could tell by the make of the fabric he wore that he was at least higher class.
