T e m p e s t C l a n
origins
Many moons ago, there was not one Clan which ruled this forest, but four: ThunderClan, ShadowClan, RiverClan, and WindClan. These Clans, the original Clans, had lasted for more generations than even StarClan could count or remember. They had traveled far from their first home and survived many challenges. But as with all things, the time of the Original Clans had to come to an end. A strange sickness came to the Clans, infecting and killing nearly all their members. The medicine cats were helpless as they watched their Clanmates die, unable to find a cure. Prayers to StarClan for some kind of sign, some push in the right direction, went unanswered, and it seemed our ancestors had finally forsaken us. Finally, the disease ran its course and vanished, leaving only a few survivors from each Clan.
Now, the remaining cats of the Clans had a choice. Their Clans were indisputably no more, and they could choose to live their lives as rogues, or to fade away in their home territories until the memories of the Clans faded with them. Or, they had another choice. The time of the first four Clans was over, but that did not mean that the time of Clans had to be over. And thus, the survivors banded together, and called their new Clan TempestClan, for the violent storm reflected all four of their namesakes: thunder, wind, water, and shadow.
It has been three generations since then, and so far, TempestClan has survived well in their massive territory. They've made their camp on the island in the lake where the four old Clans used to Gather on every full moon. Though the Clan has survived well and adapted to their new lifestyle, there is still tension between its members based on ancestry. Even once the Clans banded together, most cats retained some loyalty to the Clan of their birth, and to those that the Clan called allies. Even now, the descendants of WindClan and ThunderClan tend to stick together, against the descendants of RiverClan and ShadowClan. Though very few cats can trace their lineage back to only one of the original Clans, most take most of their blood from either ThunderClan and WindClan, or from ShadowClan and RiverClan. Even those of mixed blood tend to claim one of the original Clans as their "ancestor Clan," making it difficult to accurately trace any cat's lineage back.
Predictably, this division based on bloodlines causes a lot of strife within the Clan. Cats still adhere to old rivalries, and the fact that the Clan leader is almost always a cat who claims ThunderClan blood doesn't help. As the Clan's population has grown somewhat since it was founded, there are those who whisper that they should consider splitting back into the Clans of old, or else into two Clans rather than one. However, most cats are still loyal to TempestClan, regardless of their own misgivings; others take it a step further still, claiming that to even consider disbanding TempestClan would be to disobey the direct will of StarClan. Though these concerns have, for the most part, being spoken of only in whispers, the tension in the Clan is growing and it seems that sometime soon the issue must come to the forefront, else the Clan may not survive.
roleplay rules
The rules for this roleplay are, as they tend to be, mostly common sense. However, I do feel that it's necessary to define them to some degree.
First and foremost, follow the forum rules and use common sense. Don't troll/flame, don't godmod/powerplay, don't use Mary-Sues, don't control other peoples' characters (including placing them without their permission, or trapping them in interactions), don't spotlight or cause unnecessary drama for the sake of drawing all the attention to your character, don't kit-steal, and don't copy/steal other peoples' characters or ideas without their consent, and of course, be nice! It's fine for characters to have animosity within the roleplay, but there's no need to get nasty out of character, and if someone is uncomfortable with the way two characters are interacting, please let up! It's not worth fighting over.
Literacy is also an important point for the success of any roleplay. This is a semi-literate roleplay, meaning that you should, at the very least, have good grammar with reasonably few mistakes, and few to none that inhibit one's ability to understand what you're trying to say (so, forgetting a comma or using the wrong then/than is not a big deal; jumbled sentences that are difficult to understand are a bigger deal). You should be able to write at least one decently-sized paragraph per post, more if necessitated by the situation, though shorter posts are (situationally) acceptable as long as they're not the norm. On the other paw, please don't go overboard- please try to keep your posts concise and to the point; writing two paragraphs on exactly how your cat's eyes look does not contribute to the story and is tedious for other people to read. Also, while a good vocabulary certainly enhances writing, if 9/10 of your words would require a person with a regular vocabulary to go to the dictionary, your writing will be cumbersome and tedious for everyone to read. Find a good balance between poetic and comprehensive.
Finally, the omnipresent issue of activity. I don't like to give a strict "you have to be on this much within this time period" rule because, well, stuff happens. You get busy, I get busy, the roleplay lags, it happens. So as long as you post enough for your characters to remain appropriately relevant for their ranks and role in the rp, that's good enough for me. So, obviously, characters like leaders and medicine cats should be pretty available, while kits and apprentices might not need to be on as much. If the roleplay is going slow but steady, you don't need to be on as much; if it's going fast, you should try to make enough time to be on so as not to become lost or irrelevant. Use your best judgement, and if I feel like your activity is a problem, I'll say something to you directly, and give you a chance to explain things or fix it, rather than jumping right to deleting you.
the warrior code
Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from outside the Clan, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
Elders, queens, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. If any warrior or apprentice is sick or injured, they may eat while the elders, queens, and kits are eating.
Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies, retires or is exiled.
After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from outside the Clan.
The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.
An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense.
A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.
territory & camp
TempestClan's territory consists of most of the territories of the original Clans, without the borders that once restrained them. However, some parts of the territories have been abandoned, either for safety reasons, because there is no reason to cling to them, or simply because it is too far away from the camp to be useful.
TempestClan's camp is on the small island in the southern part of the lake. The island can be reached either by swimming, or by the old, massive log which stretches across the water from shore to shore. On the shore opposite the island, the land is wet and marshy. To the east around the lake is open meadows, with a large stream that runs from the thunderpath to the lake. This once belonged to RiverClan. On the north side of the lake is a pine forest where ShadowClan once made its home; the Clan's territory only extends as far as the single twoleg nest in the forest, even though ShadowClan once claimed the land around it. In the east and across a small thunderpath, the pines turn to deciduous forests, where ThunderClan once lived. On the eastern side of the lake, a stream flows from the hills beyond the territories, from a place called the Moonpool, where cats travel to speak with StarClan. The stream divides the forest from the moor, and it was on the open moor that WindClan used to hunt. Between the moor and the marsh, there is a twolegplace that the cats refer to as the horseplace. It is home to twolegs and their animals, as well as barn cats; thus, cats mostly steer clear of the horseplace, traveling past it along the lake should they need to move between the moor and the marsh. However, few cats hunt on the moor anymore, and it is not really seen as part of TempestClan's territory any longer, something that the WindClan cats find unacceptable.
The island where TempestClan makes its camp is mostly forested, with a rocky, pebbly shore good for fishing. Some prey can be found here, though it's not enough to support the Clan on its own. In roughly the center of the island is a large clearing. At one end is a massive, ancient oak tree: the Great Oak. Once, the Clan leaders sat in its branches to address the Clans, sharing news from the previous moon, but now only the leader of TempestClan makes announcements from its branches.
There are many dens in the clearing where the members of TempestClan sleep. The leader's den is situated in a large burrow dug beneath the roots of the Great Oak. The warriors' den is on the other side of the clearing, under a group of holly bushes. Small dips are dug between the roots to make space for nests. The apprentices' den is nearby, beneath the branches of a thorny bush. Apprentices must be careful when coming and going, or they may be scratched by the thorns. The nursery is near the leaders' den, in the tangled roots of a small fallen oak, which form a dense barrier beneath which the queens make their nests; the gaps between the roots have been packed with grass, moss, and sticks to create a well-insulated and protected den. The elders' den is located in the clearing, a burrow dug under a small jumble of flat stones. The stones are warmed by the sun, making a good place for the elders to relax during the day and early night when the stones are still warm. The medicine den is set a bit away from camp, towards the water. It is in another small clearing, protected by a grove of pine trees. The ground is soft from pine needles, and there are several small, protected alcoves and burrows dug among their roots where patients can stay. The medicine cat's den also has a protected room where the walls are packed with pebbles and stones to keep it dry. This is where the Clan's herb supply is stored.

main plot
TempestClan is recovering from a harsh leafbare, during which a powerful sickness not unlike the one which destroyed the old Clans swept through and wiped out many of TempestClan's members, severely reducing their population and destroying much of their spirit. Among the dead are the Clan's former leader, Robinstar, as well as Nightwhisker, the cat who had been deputy for many moons. Robinstar named Goldensong his successor in the event that both he and Nightwhisker should die, which did come to pass. Nightwhisker had claimed ShadowClan ancestry, and many cats are not happy about another ThunderClan cat taking the leadership in her stead. Besides that, many cats feel that Goldenstar's youth an inexperience will hurt the Clan.
Of course, even as leafbare turns to newleaf, the sickness lingers. The entire Clan is haunted by its loss, and there may still be more deaths to come, as many of those who were infected are still not fully recovered and may very well still be contagious. With a change in leadership and a dramatic hit to their strength, cats can only worry what the renewed year might bring.
subplots
Perhaps of all cats in the Clan, the youngest were hit the hardest. Nearly all of them got sick, and most died- including many of the apprentices, and all the kits. Thus, the Clan is left wanting for a new generation- at this rate, there will be no kits to train after the current apprentices are made into warriors. Thus, there is a pressure for cats to find mates and have kits of their own to make up for the loss; plus, the Clan might be more willing than usual to accept young and promising outsiders, or queens with or expecting litters.
Among the cats killed by the recent sickness was the medicine cat apprentice, Icefeather. Smoketail was nearly ready to retire and let Icefeather take over as the Clan's medicine cat when he died; now, he wonders if he will be able to find a new one in a timely manner. However, few cats in the Clan seem suitable or willing to take Icefeather's place, and Smoketail knows he is running out of time- and the last thing TempestClan needs right now is to be without a competent medicine cat.

leader
Goldenstar confidence & wisdom
34 moons. || she-cat. lithe, thick-furred light ginger she-cat with slanting forest-green eyes and a white chest, belly, muzzle, paws, and tail-tip. Goldenstar is a brave and intelligent she-cat- despite her youth, she rarely falters, and always seems to know the right thing to say. However, she is not without her faults, and finds herself frequently second-guessing her decisions, and worrying about their impact on her Clanmates. Warrior name was Goldensong. Descendant of ThunderClan. Brother is Amberfang.

medicine cat(s)
Smoketail wit & determination
91 moons. || tom. old, thick-furred gray tom with round amber eyes, one white hind paw, and a white-flecked muzzle. He is completely blind in his left eye. Smoketail is rather gruff, and may often seem impatient with his Clanmates, especially when they waste his time or injure themselves in silly ways. However, he is very knowledgeable about herbs, and very caring; he just doesn't show the latter with frequency. Descendant of RiverClan. (relationships open!)
Apprentice: n/a
warriors
Slatefrost diligence & pride
72 moons. || tom. Slatefrost is a short-haired black tom with a small build. He has delicate features and a narrow face. His eyes are a bright green. Slatefrost is notoriously hard to please and views himself as a martyr in a sea of incompetents. Even little things test his ire, and he isn’t shy about letting it be known. He has immense pride... in himself, and works hard on his own achievements vs the clan’s or others around him. Slatefrost can be quite narcissistic, actually. Outspoken, Slatefrost has incredible oratory prowess, and uses it to sway others to his side during disagreements. In particular, he is rather vocal about the amalgamation of the clans, and the problems that have arisen because of it. There is nothing that is above or below his commentary or interference, often times overly stern or chastising in nature. He is a very cold tom and doesn’t form attachments easily. He rarely smiles. His praise is hard to earn; when he does give compliments, they’re often double-sided swords, with an added insult as well. Slatefrost also enjoys cold sarcasm and dry humour. It annoys him when it goes over some clanmate’s heads. Slatefrost was born when the amalgamation was still in its infancy, and still remembers the strife it caused between clan members. He grew up not being particularly fond of it, especially when the lack of diverse leaders became more and more evident. He is vocal about his separatist views. He has never admitted or shown love towards any cat over the years, viewing mates as solely for kit making, and not holding family in high regard either. Though he is rather fond of his ex apprentices... at least the ones who haven’t disappointed him. Descendant of ShadowClan and RiverClan. Older sister is Lilyheart.
Apprentice: Halfpaw
@aromatisse
Hollowbranch determination & strength
62 moons. || tom. Large, burly dark brown tabby tom with round yellow eyes, tufted ears, and a white muzzle. Typically pretty reserved sticking to his brother Leaftail. He strongly believes Shadowclan cats are being discriminated against but tends to keep quite about it. He is often described as aggressive or rude by most cats but his brother insists he has a good heart and intentions. Hollowbranch has a strong pride when it comes to strength and believes TempestClan unbeatable sadly the recent death of both the leader and ShadowClan deputy have left him a bit more sullen and sour than usual. Descendant of ShadowClan. Mother is Lilyheart. Siblings are Leaftail, Nightwhisker, Dustpaw, and Pollenpaw.
Apprentice: n/a
Leaftail protectiveness & tranquility
62 moons. || tom. Large, fluffy golden tabby tom with green eyes and a white muzzle and chest. Outgoing friendly Tom, He doesn't care much for where other cats descended from unlike his brother. He even took on Amberfang, a Thunder clan descendant, as his apprentice. He does his best to keep the peace and assure the other cats that Hollowbranch really does care he's just a bit sour. Descendant of ShadowClan. Mother is Lilyheart. Siblings are Hollowbranch, Nightwhisker, Dustpaw, and Pollenpaw.
Apprentice: n/a
Greypelt fairness & bravery
61 moons. || tom. A short furred gray tom with a white underbelly, chest and muzzle and three white paws. On his tail you can just see slightly darker gray ringed tabby markings, though they are not visible anywhere else on his pelt. Both his eyes are a very pale green in colour and he has a very pink nose. Graypelt is a rather mellowed out cat most of the time and is rather easy to get along with and can often be found lazing in some corner of camp. But many cats say that he is not scared of anything, always willing to dive headfirst into any kind of situation, often without thinking about it very clearly beforehand which has caused some problems. But he is very fair thinking, always willing to give cats the benefit of the doubt before judging them for something, which does mean he is maybe a little too trusting of others and blind of some of their faults. Descendant of ShadowClan. (relationships open!)
Apprentice: n/a
Swampeyes courage & strength
46 moons. || tom. Swampeyes fur is such a dark brown it could be mistaken as black. His are a dullish yellow color and toward the iris they have flecks of blue and green. Quiet, he's more of a shadow than a cat you could say. He doesn't speak much unless he has to, but even then he keeps it short. Swampeyes is very bad at expressing his feelings for other cats. He even has difficulty expressing his love for his own kin. But, he tries his best and stands up for what is right. Descendant of WindClan and ShadowClan.
Apprentice: n/a
Nightcreek cleverness & skill
45 moons. || tom. ironically, Nightcreek is not dark-furred, even if his name implies otherwise. This witty tom is gray and white with blotches of darger gray here and there- He has vibrant forest-green eyes and quite the amount of scars here and there. He has a notch on each of his ears. He has a very long tail and whiskers, providing him with a high balance. He's not exactly ripped but he can hold off the normal foe with no trouble. He focuses on agility and hunting. Nightcreek can be easily resumed in 10 words: Astute, cunning, sly, clever, calm, charismatic, convincing, manipulative, erratic, and finally, devious. Also rather argumentative and haughty. He hides most of his arrogance and haughtiness behind clean, seemingly transparent smiles and friendly salutes, always keeping himself on peoples' nice side. Only his closest friends and family can perceive his true nature through the façade he puts up on the daily, having mastered the arts of acting, faking and performing. He's starting to obsess over power. Descendant of ShadowClan and RiverClan. Parents are Troutleap and Shadeleaf.
Apprentice: n/a
Thistlepelt quick-thinking & loyalty
43 moons. || tom. large, sturdy brown tabby tom with long fur, tufted ears, and narrow yellow eyes. His muzzle and chest are white, while his paws and tail are black. Thistlepelt is quite reserved, preferring to stay out of the spotlight and let others take the lead. At times, he becomes flustered when asked to lead; however, he is quick-thinking and dependable in an emergency. Descendant of WindClan and ThunderClan. Mate is Rosefall; kits are Songkit, Mistykit, and Meadowkit.
Apprentice: n/a
Silentstrike intelligence & forethought
42 moons. || tom. Silentstrike is a large strapping tom, who is well muscled and rather handsome in appearance. His fur is a bit thicker than most, and he sports a handsome, thick ruff of fur along his neck and running along his spine. Silentstrike is a dark brown tabby with white markings. Peculiar tabby sock markings adorn his front legs, ending only due to white on his toes covered from head to tail in medium length fur, which has a habit of spiking up into little tufts whenever he's sitting. His ruff has grown longer, almost akin to a bit of a mane puffing around his neck. He has sharp amber eyes and neat, pointed ears. Silentstrike also sports the trait of large paws and powerful legs which carries through his family. Never one to raise his voice, Silentstrike prefers to reserve his energy for more important things than his temper or arguing; while he has been known to deliver a crucial and biting piece of criticism here and there, he mostly he keeps to himself, especially when it comes to negativity. Along the same lines and probably as a result of his mother's teachings, he's a proper gentleman, and his patience and manners almost know no bounds. In the face of aggression he's always the one to back down first... partly because he wants to be the more mature one. But, no matter how calm or polite he potentially is, he tends to say his opinions outright, whether they're kind or insensitive. He doesn't do so in a necessarily rude fashion, and rarely does unless he's asked specifically for his opinion, but if he IS asked, be cautious of a slap in the face. Silentsrike knows how to use his words to get what he wants, whether it's talking another cat down from a ledge or convincing them to jump. Importantly, he knows what his own words sound like, and can twist them around to come off as totally different than what he was trying to say. He's also proficient in twisting others' words and using them against them for his own benefit. Descendant of ShadowClan. (relationships open!)
Apprentice: n/a
Pineclaw strength & honesty
41 moons. || tom. Solid dark russet tom with medium length fur. Along his spine and shoulders his fur is darker almost to the point where some are almost a deep rich brown. Around his muzzle and on his chin the fur is a dark cream that blends back to dark russet as it goes back to his face. His eyes are a light green yellow surrounded by liver pigmented skin with his nose and paw pads also being the same color. The toms frame is pretty solid neither on the bulky side nor the skinny side. However his legs are long making him slightly taller than the average cat. Pineclaw is pretty straight forward when it comes to things. He like to call it how he sees it and is never afraid to speak his mind. Once his mind is made up it's pretty hard to changing it, and this stubbornness can sometimes cause negative repercussions. He is a strong believer in the clan returning to it's original clans and would even be willing to take a leadership position to make it happen. Those in his inner circle of friends he is fiercely loyal to and does his best to be considerate others. Was born and raised in the clan and with his mother being of ShadowClan descent the russet tom tends to lean more towards that Clan. The russet tom was always a ambitious go-getter as an apprentice and never hesitated to hunt or jump into battle. He had a brother who was carried off by an eagle just before their apprenticeship started so ever since then he's never like the open space and tends to always be looking up just in case. Descendant of ThunderClan and ShadowClan. (relationships open!)
Apprentice: n/a
Rainpuddle energy & pride
40 moons. || tom. well-muscled white tom with round amber eyes and smoky gray spots on his face, back, and legs; his tail is gray with darker stripes. Rainpuddle is known to be quite a flirt, both towards toms and she-cats (though she-cats more so). However, he can't seem to settle down with one cat for more than a moon or so, and is known to be fairly fickle and difficult to get along with for long periods of time. Descendant of RiverClan. (relationships open!)
Apprentice: n/a
Heronstrike ambition & commitment
38 moons. || she-cat. Pale gray tabby she-cat with short, thick fur. She carries classic tabby stripes and swirls, which darken to black across her shoulders and the backs of her feet. Her legs are quite long, earning her the prefix Heron. She has no tail vertabrae at all and would technically be classified as a 'rumpy' manx. Her eyes are pale yellow-green and she has a somewhat short face. Heronstrike is loyal and determined to make sure the Clan is healthy and successful. She finds it easy to put her duties and the needs of other cats before herself. She isn't the warmest of cats, mostly due to her deadpan style of humor. It isn't often she jokes around, and when she does, it tends not to come across that way, or the jokes can seem a bit morbid. She can be a bit forgetful, though, and often has to double check certain things, such as whether or not a certain cat has been on patrol, or if the elders have eaten already. Descendant of RiverClan and ShadowClan.
Apprentice: Viperpaw
Snowstrike loyalty & determination
37 moons. || tom. Strong white tom with short but thick white fur. Snowstrike has dark brown almost black stripes and dapples. There are more stripes on his face, back, tail, and the top half of his legs. And there is dapples on the lower part of his legs and on his sides. He has a tall muscular build with honey colored eyes. Snowstrike will probably be the most loyal clan cat you could ever meet. He is all about old traditions and sticking to the used paths. He is sweet and a sucker for kits, but when it comes to outsiders he shows his aggression. This tom is very territorial and isn't afraid to jump into the heat of battle. Descendant of WindClan. Brother is Leopardfrost.
Apprentice: n/a
Leopardfrost intelligence & determination
37 moons. || tom. Strong white tom with short but thick white fur. Leopardfrost has dark brown almost black stripes and dapples. He only has stripes on his face, end of tail and bottom half of his legs. The rest of his body is filled with leopard like dapples. He has a tall muscular build with pale ice blue eyes. Leopardfrost is more of the loner type but being born and raised in the clan he has grown to like the company. However he loves to go hunting and exploring by himself or occasionally one other cat. He get uneasy in large groups, to the point where if the weather is favorable he will sleep outside of the warriors den. This tom is also pretty quiet but when he does speak he is very intelligent and charming. Descendant of WindClan. Brother is Snowstrike.
Apprentice: n/a
Amberfang loyalty & bravery
34 moons. || tom. Skinny ginger tabby tom with yellow eyes and a white muzzle, chest, paws, and tail-tip. He is known to be brave and fiercely loyal to his sister to a fault. He is often seen in her company or the company of Leaftail, his former mentor. He is also known for being a shameless flirt with a good number of she-cats. He tends to be more of a talk first ask questions later kind of cat when it comes to the protection of his clan. Descendant of ThunderClan. Sister is Goldenstar.
Apprentice: n/a
Minnowstep determination & loyalty
32 moons. || she-cat. Minnowstep is a solid light grey she-cat with depths of darker grey within her coat. She has mossy green eyes a dark grey nose. Minnowstep is a very understanding and sweet cat. She will sit an listen to everyone side of the story before making a set choice. But her choice making is very rough because she has a slight case of anxiety when it comes to big decisions, but once her mind his made she becomes very stubborn. Her anxiety only kicks up when she is having to make a hard and on the spot decision. The grey she-cat does not like to be challenged and will quickly put up a defense and assert her dominance. Descendant of RiverClan and ShadowClan. Parents are Speckledew and Greytail.
Apprentice: n/a
Morningsong kindness & spirit
28 moons. || she-cat. Morningsong is quite a daintily built she-cat. While she is average sized, if not a bit slight, and she has distinct slender limbs that, but don't be fooled as her back legs are powerful, and her muscles have been passed down by her Riverclan heritage. She has soft, delicate features like her pallid sea blue-green that seemingly shimmer like sea water itself, and they are rather large, like a kitten's. Morningsong has a very fair, creamy base coat, a coloration that is similar to light beach sands; her coat is thin but medium-length, while her streaming, sleek tail seems to hold an unusual thickness of hairs. Her chest is also thickly covered as well; the fur is downy and incredibly soft, framing her face well. A light toffee hue colors colors her tail, ears and face, as well as patterns her legs. Although she does have some face and belly chub, she's still carrying that air of grace and innocence. She couldn't be described as petite, because she's not exactly short and little. She's the average height for a female with lengthy limbs and a long skeleton that make her seem taller and more slim. Morningsong is a shy-but-pretty one. She avoids being the center of attention but will admit that she does find it amusing when cats glance at her from across the way. She very kind and genuine; it's extraordinarily difficult to perturb the she-cat, as she holds a natural fondness for practically every cat she meets. Nobody is a stranger to her, and Morningsong tries very hard to make everyone she cares about happy, wishing to spread the joy of life to those around her. Due to her overly-soft nature, the warrior can be a bit of a pushover, always volunteering for difficult tasks in order to please others. It's very easy to take advantage of Morningsong-- getting her to do things she doesn't want to do can be easily remedied by a firm command or a few tears before she melts like sugar in the rain. Harsher cats receive no less love than those who enjoy her company, but being so empathetic Morningsong will frequently let negativity bring her down, often times emotionally exhausting herself. Other traits Morningsong sports is her undying nurturing kindness and her unyielding spirit; she frequently dotes on those she loves to the point of annoying them, and Morningsong never gives into feeling sorry for herself for very long, always preferring to look on the brighter side of things. Descendant of RiverClan and ThunderClan. (relationships open!)

Swiftheart kindness & forethought
25 moons. || she-cat. small calico she-cat with large leaf-green eyes, a very long tail, and a white muzzle, chest, belly, and paws. Swiftheart is a quiet cat, typically keeping to herself and staying out of the business of her Clanmates. However, she is far from lonely- many cats go to her seeking advice or comfort, which she is more than willing to give. Though good at advising her Clanmates on their issues, she is less direct in dealing with her own, being meek as she is. Descendant of ThunderClan. (relationships open!)
Apprentice: n/a
Piedfeather spirit & enthusiasm
17 moons. || she-cat. Piedfeather is a small, soft-furred black and white molly. The black only covers her ears, forehead, and parts of her back and tail. Her eyes are a murky yellow color. Piedfeather is an amicable cat who finds it easily to get along with everyone. Though a bit ditzy and gullible. She tries to hold her Clanmates' best interests at heart, but sometimes hurts herself in the process. She has trouble realizing she can’t help everyone, nor can she be there for everyone who needs her shoulder to cry on. Sometimes, she just needs time for herself, though she doesn’t realize it. She is prone to anxiety for this reason. Piedfeather enjoys playing and exploring the territory, rather than following her warrior duties. She has brushed off enough patrols to be an annoyance to the senior warriors, but she doesn’t seem to have much regard for their opinions. It doesn’t help that she gets side tracked easily; her air-headedness often leads her into trouble. She was held back as an apprentice for a moon due to poor behavior in following orders and organization. Descendant of ShadowClan.

Halfpaw
10 moons. || tom. lithe tortoiseshell tom with large amber eyes, a white tail-tip, and a white patch on his chest. Roughly half his face is ginger, while the other half is black, earning him his name. Halfpaw is known to be a bit of a troublemaker, often talking back to the older cats and doing things his own way rather than as instructed. Still, he's clever, and though his disobedience can be frustrating he is typically successful in his endeavors. Descendant of WindClan and ThunderClan. Sisters are Badgerpaw and Wetpaw.
Mentor: Slatefrost
Badgerpaw
10 moons. || she-cat. large, long-legged black she-cat with slanting pale green eyes and a white muzzle, neck, chest, belly, and front legs. Badgerpaw is a very aloof, coy young she-cat, to the point of typically being considered arrogant. She is very quick-learning, and often gets the hang of new techniques very quickly. However, though she seems confident, she is actually very socially awkward, and typically avoids interaction outside of what is necessary for her duties and training. Descendant of WindClan and ThunderClan. Brother is Halfpaw, sister is Wetpaw.
Mentor: Nightwhisker
Viperpaw
9 moons. || she-cat. Viperpaw is a chubby, small and boyishly-cute she-cat. Perhaps she looks a bit chubbier due to her small stature, but chubby all and all. The tiny she-cat has short, thick legs with tiny paws on the end of them. She is round, and sports tiny ears on her head and to continue with the roundness, her eyes are large and round with a beautiful light green hue. Though its too early to say anything for sure, its likely Viperpaw will develop muscles out of the kitten fat she has. Viperpaw has a short and sleek dusky ginger pelt with dark brown legs, ears, face, and tail. Gentle stripes arch their way over her legs in a gradient of coffee-colored hues, and each foot has its own unique cream marking. Her stomach and the underside of her tail is also the same cream, and she's got markings of the same color on her face. Viperpaw's paws pack their own punch with their differently-colored dark brown and cherry pink pawpads; her nose is the same dark brown, and her ears are the same pink. The top of her head, the underside of her front paws, and the underside of her tail have longer fur than the rest of her body. Viperpaw is very laid back and relaxed, happy to roll with life's punches. She's sporty and very passionate about experiencing new things, and she appreciates the quirky and at times just plain weird antics of her siblings even if just because they're pretty funny to watch. She appreciates the freedom and lack of social responsibility that being young gives her, and the she-cat doesn't hesitate to speak her mind and do as she pleases, when she pleases. She dislikes being called nosy and therefore always minds her own business when there's chaos around her and tries to avoid any stiff adult nonsense, avoiding any serious conversations or talks about her future. Viperpaw is hardy and finds clever solutions to her problems that most cats wouldn't think of. She trusts her strong intuition about things before making a choice, and more often than not Viperpaw trusts her instincts above all else. Because of her crafty nature, she has a natural grace and slipperiness about her that comes across as being blind luck! Viperpaw is also very stubborn, rarely accepting things at face value and seems to adore arguing about very trivial things, and learning to obey rules has been and is expected to always be a very difficult task for her. Often, the she-cat will pretend to behave for a little bit until you let your guard down-- and once you do, she'll go back to her previous antics as if nothing had ever happened. Descendant of WindClan and ShadowClan. (relationships open!)
Mentor: Heronstrike
Patchpaw
8 moons. || she-cat. Her pelt is a patchwork of light ginger and gray tabby like markings across her back, tail and head, the most prominent colour of her pelt is her white legs, underbelly, chest and muzzle. Her eyes are a muted green. If you were to look at her, it is quite clear why Patchpaw was given the name she was as a kit, though she could have very easily been named for her size as well as she is also rather large for a she-cat her age, though it does help with being a strong fighter. Patchpaw is a rather friendly and energetic she-cat, always willing to try and talk your ear off no matter your ancestry. That kind of thing doesn't really matter to her and she's more than willing to get along with just about anyone. But she can be quite a pawful to try and control and she maybe enjoys running around the place causing trouble more than she should. But she is dedicated to learning to be the best warrior she can be and will always hang eagerly off of any advice you give her if she thinks it will help her get better. Descendant of ThunderClan and WindClan. (relationships open!)

Lilyheart intelligence & spirit
87 moons. || she-cat. large black she-cat with narrow yellow-green eyes and a small white patch on her chest. Her pelt is somewhat ragged and flecked with white. Lilyheart is as wise as elders tend to be, and enjoys reminiscing her stories to kits and apprentices when they allow. She is rather teasing and sarcastic, still with the humor and energy of spirit from her youth. Descendant of ShadowClan. Kits are Hollowbranch, Leaftail, Nightwhisker, Dustpaw, and Pollenpaw. Younger brother is Slatefrost.

Haze
13 moons. || she-cat. Haze is a grey she-cat with black tabby stripes. From her spine to mid-ribcage is dark grey and below that is a lighter pale grey. She is a small lean framed she-cat with short fur and pale green eyes. Her face is triangular and she has a long striped tail. Haze is a very sweet-natured she-cat with a caring soul. She definitely can be very social, and likes the idea of living in a group. The grey tabby isn't one to ever hold a grudge so she is never in a foul mood and if she is it isn't for long. She definitely believes in guidance from ancestors and those in the stars. Haze is the only one left alone in her family. When she was younger her and her family were attacked by a pair of foxes in leafbare killing her sister and mother. Ever since their death Haze has been on her own, however she has been recently having dreams of her sister who has been guiding her her paws to go straight towards the lake.

Robinstar courage & fighting skill
74 moons. || tom. large, well-muscled dusty brown tabby tom with narrow golden eyes, black ears and paws, and very long whiskers. Proud and outspoken, Robinstar is never one to keep his opinions to himself. Still, he is knowledgeable, and is rarely wrong; when he is, he will admit to his faults and adjust his view, though he can be stubborn at times and it may take some effort to convince him of his error. Descendant of ThunderClan. Warrior name was Robinclaw. Lost his ninth life to sickness. (relationships open!)
Nightwhisker cleverness & bravery
48 moons. || she-cat. large, sleek black she-cat with round, pale-green eyes and a small white patch on her chest. Nightwhisker is a bit distant from other cats, preferring to observe them rather than partake in interaction. She has very few close friends, and she is very close to them; however, she is still loyal to her Clan as a whole, and wants only the best for all her Clanmates. Descendant of ShadowClan. Died of sickness. Mother is Lilyheart; younger siblings are Pollenpaw and Dustpaw.
Icefeather compassion & humor
28 moons. || tom. small, slender white tom with a rather delicate build, very long whiskers, and large, very pale blue eyes. Icefeather is extremely caring and compassionate, having legitimate sympathy for his Clanmates. He is very gentle- at times, perhaps too gentle. He finds it difficult to scold his Clanmates, even when they do something silly. Still, he is certainly not above gentle teasing, as he has a sense of humor and optimism about everything. Descendant of WindClan. Died of sickness. (relationships open!)
Rosefall kindness & devotion
39 moons. || she-cat. slender, pretty ginger and white she-cat with slanting orange eyes, very long whiskers, and a white tail-tip. Descendant of WindClan. Died of sickness. Mate is Thistlepelt; kits are Songkit, Mistykit, and Meadowkit.
Songkit
0 moons. || she-cat. large, soft-furred ginger she-kit with round blue eyes and a white chest, muzzle, paws, and lower belly. Descendant of WindClan and ThunderClan. Died of sickness. Parents are Rosefall and Thistlepelt. Littermates are Mistykit and Meadowkit.
Mistykit
0 moons. || tom. tiny white tom with blue-gray eyes, a long brown tabby tail, and brown tabby spots on his head. Descendant of WindClan and ThunderClan. Died of sickness. Parents are Rosefall and Thistlepelt. Littermates are Songkit and Meadowkit.
Meadowkit
0 moons. || tom. long-legged light brown tabby tom with blue eyes, very long whiskers, a black tail, and one white paw. Descendant of WindClan and ThunderClan. Died of sickness. Parents are Rosefall and Thistlepelt. Littermates are Mistykit and Songkit.
Dustpaw
13 moons. || she-cat. small, sleek black she-cat with large, round pale green eyes, a long tail, and unusually long claws. Descendant of ShadowClan. Died of sickness. Mother is Lilyheart; elder sister is Nightwhisker, brother is Pollenpaw.
Pollenpaw

It had been a long moon.
Goldensong- no, Goldenstar; she had to remember that- looked across the moor, wave after wave of rolling tawny hills, and the sparkling gray lake beyond. To her right, the burbling of the stream reminded her of where she was, though the sound was far from familiar. The Clan rarely hunted this territory anymore, after all; it was too far away, too dangerous to reach. The WindClan descendants weren't happy about that, she knew; but, they would have to understand. And it's my job to make them understand, she conceded with a soft sigh to herself, letting her forest-green eyes glide easily over the landscape. That's what it meant to be Clan leader, after all. To make the decisions that others wouldn't, or couldn't, and to guide them into knowing that it was the right one. It was a position she had never really intended to inherit, and certainly not so suddenly. With that feeling came back memory of the night before, at the Moonpool- the pride she saw on the faces of her star-pelted Clanmates, and in the voice of Robinstar, the previous leader, as he gave her her new name.
"Goldenstar." The light ginger she-cat started slightly as she heard the voice, glancing over her shoulder to where the medicine cat, Smoketail, stood slightly behind her, closer to the stream. The gray tom was staring at her with a mixture of concern and annoyance, obviously eager to be on their way but not one to press the issue.
"Yes, I know," Goldenstar murmured, shaking out her thin pelt against the cold. The wind that blew up the moor from the lake was chilled by the water, and even this late in leaf-bare she could make out the shape of thin, cracking ice along the pebbly shore. Still, the way she fluffed out her pelt wasn't just in defense of the cold... her own name still felt strange. Goldenstar. That would take some getting used to. She pushed that thought from her mind and focused her eyes on the small island in the west, little more than a smudge in the mist of the morning, hazy against the pale background. "Yes, let's go."
It didn't take the two very long to reach the horseplace, and then pass it- tense and ready to flee all the while- until they reached the marsh where the scent of their Clanmates was stronger. Raising her head to the wind, Goldenstar could smell fresh scents of a nearby patrol. She paused, casting her attention across the marsh until she could make out a pale shape in the fog. She could tell from the cat's stance and pace that they had noticed her as well, and she raised her tail in greeting.
"Rainpuddle," she meowed as the cat neared, materializing into the shape of her RiverClan-descended Clanmate. The older tom dipped his head as he neared, waving his tail at the others in his patrol to relax.
"Goldenstar," he meowed, his voice a low rumble as he dipped his head in respect to the Clan leader. His tone caught Goldenstar off guard, as did the way that he didn't quite meet her eyes as he addressed her. Normally, such respect would flatter her, but in this moment it seemed ill-fitting. I suppose the others have just as much to get used to as I do, she thought as she returned the gesture with a small nod of her own head.
"We were just about to head back to camp," Rainpuddle replied, flicking his tail lazily in the direction of camp. "You're welcome to walk with us, if you don't mind the escort," he meowed with a small note of his usual humor. Goldenstar twitched her whiskers, relaxing slightly at his almost teasing tone.
"No, I don't think we mind at all. Lead on," Goldenstar meowed, waving her tail for the patrol to continue as before.

Name: Tigerfang Gender: Tom Age: 42 moons old Virtues: * Brave and Strong willed. Ancestry: ** ThunderClan and WindClan Relationships: Could he be mates with Goldenstar? I thought it could be a cool dynanic, though I understand if not Appearance: A handsome and tall tom, he is well muscled and built for fighting as opposed to speed. Whilst he isn't the fastest, he is an intimidating opponent in battle. He is a thick furred dark brown tabby tom, marked with black stripes like those of a tiger, which is where he gains his name. His eyes are a dark green colour. Personality: Mysterious would probably be a good word to describe this tom as, very much the type to prefer keeping himself to himself, he will never use ten words where one will do just as well. However, he is an incredibly brave tom, with a willingness to through himself in the way of danger to save his clanmates should the need come to it. He is a kind cat at heart, however, once a cat manages to get past the walls he has built up, they will find a loyal friend. History: Clanborn Pic: ***
Name: Splashpaw Gender: Shecat Age: 9 moons old Virtues: * Currently an apprentice Ancestry: ** ShadowClan and WindClan Relationships: Open Appearance: A slender and pretty young shecat, she is named for the patchwork of colours which cover her small frame. A calico apprentice of primarily black, but with patches of ginger, white and brown all over her, it looks as though someone attempted to paint but but couldn't quite decide on a colour. Her eyes are a sharp icy blue. Personality: A young shecat wiser than her moons, she is the quieter type but would do anything for her clan. She's much happier watching from the shadows and letting everyone else make the important decisions, but she is good at her job in spite of her quieter tendencies. At heart she is a good cat, but some might not always see it from her somewhat isolated demeanour at times. History: Pic: Is it ok for Her to be the medicine cat apprentice?
Name: Stormpetal Gender: Shecat Age: 31 moons old Virtues: * Open hearted and loyal Ancestry: ** WindClan Relationships: Open, is there anyone who could be the father to her kits? Appearance: A pretty mute tortoise-shell shecat, she is a mostly white shecat marked with splashes of ginger, grey and black on her head and back primarily. She is of slighter form and is surprisingly quiet on her paws and as a result is a great tracker because of it. She lost her tail as an apprentice in a fox trap, and her balance sometimes suffers because of it. Her eyes are amber. Personality: Charming and quick witted, her tongue whilst silver is sometimes too sharp but she has good intentions behind most of her words. She is a sweet young shecat who is hard not to like once you get to know her, though she doesn't have the best filter at times she is still young and learning, this will most likely improve with time. . History: She lost her tail in a fox trap when she was an apprentice. Pic: *** She is an expectant queen

(I looked over the cats, and I will add them all in- even the ones that aren't finished, I'll put up what's available so far. I do have some comments, however.
First, I noticed there are a lot of cats who aren't Wind/Thunder or Shadow/River, and are other combinations. While having a few of these is fine, the majority should be either Wind/Thunder or Shadow/River [it's also possible for cats to claim just one Clan rather than two]. So, I think we should keep it to a maximum of two cats per person who have Wind/Shadow, Wind/River, Thunder/Shadow, or Thunder/River combinations. So, blue, you would have to adjust two of your cats. It's a fairly minor thing, so I hope that's not a problem!
Second, Goldenstar + Tigerfang sounds good to me! I think the dynamic between her being outgoing and him being more reserved could be fun, plus her suddenly being cast into the leadership position despite holding the deputyship for, like, one day lol. Also, maybe Thistlepelt and Tigerfang could be littermates? They're similar age, colors, and both ThunderClan descendants. If I change Thistlepelt's age by two moons and switch him from Thunder/River to Thunder/Wind then it would work.
Then, about Splashpaw as the medicine cat apprentice. The [currently only] subplot I have listed is that the previous medicine cat apprentice had died recently and Smoketail has yet to find a new apprentice, so Splashpaw could not be the medicine cat apprentice.... yet. Perhaps she wants to be but there's some reason she can't/won't come forward just yet? And a little bit into the rp [not too long] something spurs her, or perhaps Smoketail receives an omen that she should be the new apprentice?
And finally for Stormpetal, I have three cats that could be the father. Robinstar, if you wanted to go the "recently-deceased mate" route. Thistlepelt, if you wanted a more traditional [and living] family. And perhaps Rainpuddle, if you wanted a little more drama, since he doesn't really settle down with a mate- they probably would have "broken up" so to speak already. So, it would depend what kind of dynamic you wanted. Or, you could wait for someone else lol.)

(oops, sorry! must have missed the part about the medicine cat apprentice! Ignore Splashpaw for now then! She can just be one of Stormpetal's kits! and awesome about Tiger and Golden [the irony of the name choices isnt lost on me XD] and sure thistle and tiger can be related! and ooh, I cant decide. Robin was potentially a bit old? so potentially Thistlepelt?)

Hey there, I'd like to join this rp! I like to 'mold' myself to the roleplays I join when it comes to characters, so I was wondering if anyone needed a mentor or apprentice, or well, anything, to be honest! Siblings, lovers, parents, children, that kind of stuff <3 I'm open to any kind of character necessary, even if their role inside the roleplay is more of an antagonistic thing.

(Okay, everyone is added. The current mentor/apprentice pairs are Willowtuft/Badgerpaw, Rainpuddle/Lionpaw, Tigerfang/Dovepaw, and Swiftheart/Cloudpaw. It had been Nightwhisker/Halfpaw, but Nightwhisker died and Halfpaw has not yet been assigned a new mentor. So, feel free to jump in wherever you like; either on Rainpuddle's patrol, or start anywhere else and I'll find someone to respond.)

Though, if you're up for an antagonistic role, we could certainly use a cat who seeks to somewhat undermine Goldenstar. Even if not maliciously, she is a very young leader and hadn't even really been deputy, so it seems likely that there would be cats who aren't especially happy with her taking power. And, of course, we'd want to sort of play up the rift between Thunder/Wind and Shadow/River cats over time. So if you have any ideas for that, I'd love to see! Like I said, they don't even necessarily have to be a bad cat... they would just sort of go against the "unity" of the Clan. Of course, you're also welcome to make an overtly malicious character, if that's what you want to do.)

Tigerfang had followed Rainpuddle's patrol with an impatient itch to his paws, his mind filled with concern for his mate as she journeyed without him to get her lives. He wished more than anything that he had been permitted to accompany her, but he knew all too well there would have been no chance. So he had been left behind to let his worry bubble up inside him, the only thing which would probably calm him would be the safe return of his mate. Tigerfang had never been great at conveying his emotions in a healthy manner, and he hated showing when he was hurting. He went on the patrol hoping for a distraction, and so far it had been working at least somewhat. Helping his make sure his mate's clan was fed was a much more fitting use of his time then worrying about her.
Neither of them had any idea that Goldensong, no, Goldenstar now, he reminded himself with half a chuckle, would become leader. It had all happened so soon, whilst he was prouder than words could probably fully describe. Even with nine lives to keep her alive for a long time, Tigerfang found himself worried about her all the same. He doubted that would change any time soon.
At the time of Goldenstar's return to the patrol, Tigerfang hadn't been there. His attention distracted from the scent of a vole which he had slipped through the undergrowth to retrieve. He stopped a little way away from the patrol when he returned, his heart filling with hope when he returned to find that she was indeed ok. He managed to stop the purr which initially filled his chest, he stayed where he was.
Never one for displaying affection for his mate in public, the young tom dipped his head with a simple smile. "Good to have you back," he meowed with a twitch of his whiskers. Anyone who knew him even somewhat would know there was much more going on under the surface than what he showed on his all too well sculpted expression.

Of course, you're also welcome to make an overtly malicious character, if that's what you want to do.)I think it'd be cool to have an slightly "eliteist" cat that doesnt see him/herself as bad but as some kind of 'hero' from his own perspective. He or she tries to "save" the clan and constantly picks out the faults in Goldenstar. To make it worse- They have great charisma and convincing skills, not needing to fake anything but twisting their words in such a way that they are not really lying. For example; Someone asks them if they know who killed 'x' cat (they do) And they'd say something like "If I knew them, i'd probably go ahead and tell a higher rank before even being asked about it." They didn't answer the question- They just let out a statement that sounds like a "No" but is in reality a "Probably", evading actually answering.

As the patrol began the trek back to camp, Goldenstar noticed a familiar scent wash over her. She turned, letting out a pleased purr as she saw her mate, Tigerfang, trotting up to her. "Good to have you back," he meowed. His tone was fairly solemn, but she could tell that he was holding back a purr, and the light in his eyes told her of the concern he had felt while she was away. He paused a mouse-length away from her, seeming uncertain; she knew that he didn't like to display affection around their Clanmates, but Goldenstar had no such reservations. After all she had been through in the past few days, the comfort of her mate seemed like the best thing in the world.
"It's good to be back," the light ginger she-cat replied, leaning forward to rub her cheek against Tigerfang's before pressing her pelt against his. She paused there for a moment, allowing the rest of the patrol to draw ahead of them. A couple of cats cast them glances over their shoulders, but as she breathed in her mate's scent it didn't matter to her one bit. Once again, it seemed like just maybe everything would be okay.
After a few heartbeats, she withdrew, though she stayed close enough for the fur on her flanks to brush his. "How were things while I was gone?" she asked, moving back along the trail after the rest of the patrol. "I hope nothing bad happened? How is Lilyheart?" The old she-cat had just been coming down with sickness as Goldenstar had been leaving; she hoped that the elder hadn't deteriorated too much while she and Smoketail were away.

Allowing himself to bask in the warmth of his mate for a heartbeat, he pressed his nose deep into her ginger fur and didn't move for a while. Enjoying the familiarity of her scent again, he pushed past his usual reservations of not showing affection in front of clanmates, and allowed himself to simply be her mate and not be concerned about what the world around him thought about it. The dark tabby tom pulled away when his mate did, casting his dark gaze across her beautiful form. As though searching for any signs that she might be injured or suffering from the length of her journey, his eyes were still dark with concern, but he seemed to be satisfied that she was unhurt and he allowed himself to relax at least a little. That didn't mean he was going to let her out of his sight for the next moon though.
A chuckle slipped from his lips, "Surprisingly we managed to keep the camp from combusting in your absence," he said with a purr. Moving to follow the patrol, and looking back at her to see if she was going to follow. Eyes now bright with pure affection as he watched her, delighted to find she was safe. Even if he wasn't always the best as showing it, he twitched his head to the side questioningly.
With a soft sigh, "She seems to be ok. Or at least as best as can be imagined, everything considered." He meowed, the loss of Nightwhisker still sat heavy for many of the clan.

Goldenstar nodded, expression dark with thought. "I hate to have pulled Smoketail away so soon, but... well, it seemed that getting my lives was the most important thing for the time being. It wouldn't do anyone any good if I...." She trailed off, giving an noncommittal shrug. "In any case, I'm glad to hear that she's done alright in his absence. I know Nightwhisker's death was hard on her, and I'd hate for her to have to suffer more, especially so soon." She let out a quiet sigh, pausing their conversation as they neared the log bridge, where the rest of the patrol was gathered around, crossing one by one. All of these cats, and those waiting on the other side... they were all her responsibility now. Of course, she had always cared for her Clanmates, but it wasn't the same as being solely responsible for their future. And- she thought, casting a glance towards Tigerfang- what of our future? Would she still have the time for him that she used to? Would she ever be able to raise a litter of kits like she had always wanted?
She was pulled from her thoughts as Smoketail padded over, not seeming to care to intrude on her and Tigerfang's privacy. "I'm sure you'll be fine without me here on out. You won't need me to speak to the Clan, and it sounds as though Lilyheart needs care." Goldenstar let out a reassuring purr, though she didn't feel quite as confident about the idea of addressing the Clan as she tried to seem.
Dipping her head to the medicine cat, she replied: "Yes, of course. Go quickly." Smoketail only let out a short huff before turning and trotting to the lake shore, plunging in without a second thought- it seemed he didn't care to wait for the bridge. His RiverClan heritage really does show sometimes, Goldenstar thought as she watched him go, before turning her attention back to her mate and letting out a sigh. "I'm not sure what everyone expects me to say to them," she admitted, her tail-tip twitching with nervousness. "I suppose I should pick a new deputy, first of all. And Halfpaw will need a new mentor...." She shook her head, letting out another quiet sigh. So many decisions to be made, and so soon. And with her youth and inexperience... she knew she had to make the best possible choices to gain her Clan's faith in her leadership. It was a lot of pressure, and Goldenstar wasn't so confident that she could live up to her expectations.

(Feel free to say no, but it might be a cool idea to add to the drama that it turns out Golden is expecting kits? fueling the idea that she may not be a fitting leader?)
Stepping away from his mate when the medicine cat approached, allowing them a second of privacy to talk among themselves. He watched in silence, a gentle sigh slipping from his lips. Will it ever be the same between us? He pondered silently, not that he would have ever said it allowed, his mate had too much to worry about right now without him adding to the ever growing pile of concerns. He watched her with contemplation, he understood that he would no longer be her main concern, and he understood that. Now the clan would need to come first always, and he knew she would always do what was necessary, and he loved her for it. Though it made his heart ache a little, but he would be brave for the sake of the shecat he loved. If she was to protect her clan, he would be the one to protect her. And he was going to do so with everything in his power. No matter what it took.
Pressing his nose into her cheek again now they were alone a second time, "You'll do fantastically whatever you decide," he told her firmly. The confidence in his voice apparent.

(hahaha yaaaaassssssss. I'll have her find out she's expecting in a little bit, once she's been leader for like a week or two) Goldenstar nodded, reassured at Tigerfang's confidence in her. "Thank you. I really hope you're right," she replied, giving him another gentle nuzzle. By now, the rest of the patrol had crossed the bridge, leaving only Rainpuddle perched on the far side, surveying the land around as he waited for Goldenstar and Tigerfang to follow. Goldenstar flicked her tail over Tigerfang's flank, meowing, "Let's go," before jumping up onto the log. She dug her claws into the soft, rotting bark, pausing for a moment to balance before she made her way along the trunk. Rainpuddle dipped his head as he saw her coming, before hopping down on the other side and disappearing into the trees. Goldenstar made her way across- relieved as always to feel her paws on solid ground once she was on the island- and waited for Tigerfang.
(sorry this one is a little short)

Tigerfang lunged to follow his mate across the tree bridge, his claws digging deep into its bark to ensure he wouldn't get his fur wet, a terrifying prospect for the tom who'd rather pull each piece of his fur from his pelt before getting it wet. The large tom stalked across the bridge at a careful pace before leaping down to the island with a thump, his larger frame not built for elegance or quietness of paw. The handsome tom dropped his prey on the fresh kill pile, touching his nose to his mate's pelt, "I have every faith, and StarClan chose a fantastic leader," he said. Honesty dripping from his every word, though it was clear he seemed that little more distant now they had returned to camp. Such was his nature, and there was never anything cruel meant by his manner. He loved Goldenstar more than words could ever truly describe, and nothing could stop that.
"Are you going to call it?" He offered, feeling the stares of their clanmates burrying deep into his fur and making him shift from paw to paw in a show of discomfort at their watching gazes.
