recently, i've been trying to get back into lengthier posts & developing characters more - so here i am, once again, with a partner search thread. while i won't set a word or paragraph limit, let it be known that the longer your posts (providing they actually give material i can work with), the more likely i am to stay interested. i will 100% admit that i can be spotty on activity, and i will admit that i'm prone to losing interest. it usually slips my mind to tell my partners because i'm forgetful as hell, yeehaw. but that said - longer posts generally yield more interest, especially with a partner who's interested in plotting & character building (i also have a discord for this if you'd rather keep rping & chatting separate). there's not really much more to know, i don't think. i mean. please don't go "what plots do you have (:" bc im stating upfront I Do Not Have Any. i'm here to brainstorm so we can work out a plot we both like.
genres i'm interested in:
- crime. this is a huge thing for me - most of my characters are crime-based and while i don't have any plots, i enjoy trying to think of plots and i enjoy brainstorming. i won't roleplay police/detectives and while you're free to do that, if we do crime, my character will be a criminal. because...i have criminal characters & i generally have more fun on that front.
- supernatural. only to a degree. werewolves and vampires and demons and the like; they're all super interesting to me. i can be relatively dodgy depending on plot, though; if there are two supernatural beings interacting, there needs to be reason for it beyond "oh noez the dirty hunters are gonna take over whatever happens now!!" because those plots become dry relatively quickly.
- historical. wild west, 1960s - 1980s, the golden age of piracy, the victorian era, ancient rome, ancient greece, ancient egypt. those are my main strengths. i'm relatively good with both world war 1 and world war 2, but it's dodgy and has a low likelihood that i'll roleplay wars unless it's combined with another element. i have a lot of fun with the wild west in particular but do not expect 100% accuracy for me because while it's good to stick to the general gist of the era, also remember that it's a roleplay and the characters didn't exist irl so why keep everything 100% the same.
- fantasy. but only mixed with other elements. see: centaurs in the wild west (or the victorian era!!). honestly i'm very picky and while i'm a sucker for dragons, the plot has to catch my eye, y'know? there's also mermaids mixed with pirates which i am 100% a sucker for!! i love it.
genres i'm willing to try:
- slice of life. as long as the plot isnt "2 ppl meet...AND FALL IN LOVE", or something along those lines, then i'm pretty chill. (hell, slice-of-life/crime mix would be kinda interesting. daily life of criminals. lmao) i guess the thing i lean towards in slice-of-life would be something w parents or something. i have a lot of single parent characters cuz i like that sort of character, ig?
- sci-fi. i'm very not-good at this genre and i will need help with it, because, like. help? i don't generally do it but i'm open to it if there's a plot you really want to do (and you don't mind a complete newbie at sci-fi to do it with you).
