-Spottedshadow-Muse 1 has already tamed their dragon. Originally, they were part of a small group of riders. One of the members unexpectedly went missing and Muse 1 sets out to search for them. A large storm happens and muse 1 takes shelter in a cave. It just so happens muse 2 takes shelter in the same cave. Maybe they were cast out or just separated from their own group. All up to whoever rps them. Muse 1 is not from around the area, so they ask Muse 2 to help them look. Muse 2 knows the local dangers and agrees to help this person with a tamed beast. We could have one of the muses still try to steal the egg of some creature. Maybe it would be for food or to hatch it. Either way, it sounds lie a fun part. Muse 1 ; zero Muse 2 ; spottedshadow Do you want to do forms for the characters or describe in the rp?

Miranda felt the first few drops of water and didn't much care. The wind would dry her clothes soon enough. The sky rumbled in warning as more clouds gathered. Miranda didn't spare a glance. Storms were common in this part of the world. She had flown through dozens. None had grounded her yet. She doubted this one could.
When the dark clouds opened up, Miranda knew she had made a mistake. The troubling winds turned into flurries of cold and wet. Her clothes did nothing to protect against the harsh pelting of the elements. She was soaked and shivering in seconds. The beast she was riding lashed, clearly displeased at the rider's choice to face the storm. Miranda couldn't agree more. They would need shelter if they were going to live through this.
The shelter turned out to be an old, stone structure. Thankfully, it had a large opening only slightly covered in plant life. It would be rough to get in because they couldn't loose any speed at the risk of being lost to the strong winds. When staying in the storm was the alternative, Miranda pushed the beast to fly to the entrance. The structure's floor was also made out of a hard stone. This landing is going to be rough. Miranda thought right before she felt herself leave the saddle. Miranda yelped when she met the solid stone floor. She lay crumbled on the ground like a doll, gasping for breath.
After a couple of painful seconds, she blinked the forming tears away and stood up. There was a sway to her steps as she approached her beast. Fumbling with numb fingers, she unbuckled the saddle from the beast and let the bags and it flop on the ground. The dragon rumbled as Miranda inspected it for any missing scales. Thankfully, each tan plate was still intact and not cracked. The green wings almost seemed intact and working. Everything seemed to be fine.
Miranda sighed and started to take off her flying gear. First came off the goggles and then the hair wrap. Her dark hair flopped down to the top of her back. Thankfully, it seemed to be dry. Then she removed her leather jacket, gloves, and pants. She was only wearing her grey, cloth pants and shirt now. It was still cold, but she knew it would be better than sitting in wet leather. Not like it was very pleasant to feel so exposed to everything. Dannel had better be alive when she found him. She was going to make him buy her a new set of equipment and some fresh food.
She sighed, leaning against one of the pillars. She had just closed her hazel eyes when her dragon growled. The beast's glowing, golden eyes were focused on the darkness. She quickly moved to grab her knife from her bag. "Who's there?" She asked the darkness.

Having been keeping an eye out at the clouds that turned a darker grey the longer they rolled through the sky had told him to seek shelter despite it's docile downpour. By the time he had reached his shelter, the weather had already began to pick up, and he saw no sign of it calming down. The fact that frogs didn't even dare stay out and croak told him that things were only about to going to get worse.
Sadly he couldn't say he had much to do about heat. All his belongings were soaked, saved for what he had crammed in his backpack, and honestly there wasn't much their either. But, he was alone in a safe shelter to wait out the storm, so as anyone else would he hung his clothes to dry as he found himself a corner of the stone structure to fully dry off in before switching to some lighter change of clothes he had stored.
Again, his fortunes not being on his side his large shelter suddenly felt a lot smaller as a large beast came crashing in. Startling him awake he found himself turning a bit red as he heard the footsteps of another individual, aside from the looming beast in here as well, while he himself was more than under dressed for visitors. Quietly scooting up along the wall of the shelter he moved over to his bag and began pulling out his attire. Swiftly clothing what was important he had begun fumbling around to get his shirt on when he heard a heart stopping growl and a woman's voice call out from behind the beast.
For a moment he didn't know if he should answer, maybe she would just dismiss it as an animal if he played things right. But the dragon's eyes were deadlocked on him despite the lack of light that was protecting him. "Ummm," he said as he stopped his attempt to cloth himself. Making his way around the edge of the shelter to where the voice came from, his eyes never breaking contact with the dragons. He stopped in a spot where he thought that she might be able to see him and still leave a comfortable amount of space. "Hi there, tha name's Bow," he said with a thick accent and a slight wave of his hand despite his halfway clothed shirt acting more like restraints. "Pleasa'h ta meet'cha," he responded with false confidence.

I lost all of my progress because I accidentally refreshed. ;; )
Miranda looked the male up and down when he came into the light. He looked and spoke like the average traveler. Not much of a threat for anyone like her, especially when he was in the middle of putting on his shirt. She refused to reconize this fact. No, she did not feel awkward at all. He, however, was either extremely confident or very scared. Miranda was hoping for the former.
The women turned around to face her beast with a set frown on her face. It was a struggle to keep herself calm. She rested her hand on the dragon's neck and focused on remaining calm. The beast's anger started to fade along with the growling. She sighed. "You can finish putting on your shirt." She said without looking over. There wasn't much privacy in the modern world, but a little was always good. More was better, she thought, looking towards the ceiling.
"I need to stay here. Is there anymore people here? Do you have a heat source?" She asked quickly. Even if the man was scared of a dragon, the others belonging to his group might be able to face them. Plus, she was cold and really wanted to make a fire. Her clothes also needed to be dried.

(No no it's okay, although I am so sorry for you loosing your progress ;-; I know the pain.)
"Ahh, thank's a many," he said as he side eyed her dragon as she went to calm it. While it's growling had began to die out he still didn't trust it, so he swiftly threw his shirt over and pulled his head through. Tugging at the bottom of it he at least found that it was a few sizes too big as it hung below his boxers. He didn't pay no mind to that fact though as he listened to her next question. "Uhh, no ma'am. Just me 'n me'self in this hear fierce storm," he responded with a small nod of his head. "'N I am just as cold as a brook," he responded, yet was a bit void of a strong sense of freezing chill. He was still cold, but he was use to the chill of rain.
"But if yer pal their could muster up a bit of fire, I'd only hope it's willin' ta share it," he said with a halfhearted smile. His attention still trained on the beast as he still hugged the wall of the surroundings. It was a nice thought that he could outrun the beast if she chose to sick it on him, but he also highly doubted that happening. "Kinda fergot to save some firewood before the rains came. So trying to burn the soggy wood ain't gonna work."

Miranda frowned. The man wasn't much use, but at least he wasn't accompanied by others. She wouldn't have to worry about surprises or how people would react to her beast. By the man's expression, he was pretty nervous around the creature. She contemplated reassuring the man that the creature was trained and would not hurt him unless he hurt her, but decided against it. Most people traveling aloe had some sort of trick up their sleeve to survive. Until she found out his, she would let him sweat, or rather freeze.
"She can't keep the fire going for more than a couple of seconds. We need some kind of wood." She said before moving away. It was a slight lie. If pushed, Edlira could breath fire for a minute or so. He didn't have to know that. The light was dim, but there was enough to see shapes. There was enough metal around to forge weapons, but nothing else. She had almost given up hope until she found a stack of wood. It was slightly damp and slightly old, but it was wood. She gathered up the whole three pieces and brought them back.
"Someone must have been here before us." She said as she set down the wood in a dry place. She stepped back and clicked her tongue twice. Green flames met wood and there was fire. "It should last an hour or so for it to die." She muttered before grabbed her wet things and starting to lay them out.

Tapping his fingers to the wall he waited for some kind of reassurance about sharing the fire, which, he really didn't get out of her. A silent sigh came from him as he watched her as she worked on searching around the area. He himself hadn't cared to look around when he got here, and he had fallen asleep so he hadn't really the time to look either.
"Well a flame is a flame," he responded to her late as he heard what sounded like firewood being moved around. His hearing was confirmed when she brought back wood into his line of sight. Silence overtook him as she gave a quick and easy command to her mount and a bright green flame came from it with just as much ease. The sight was both fascinating and terrifying in one. "Ahh, I uhh... I would be surprised if there wasn't wood here. This is a very common path travelers take, ma'am. Well, at least for those of us who don't got us a flying companion," he pointed with a nod of his head towards her beast.
"'N there is a way to keep the fire burning longer. A bit late to show you now that there wood is lit," he said with a wave of his hand. "Hope that wasn't all the wood being burnt, need to save some's for other passers," he said as he instinctively got closer to the warmth of the fire. "This storm should knock down some trees, so if this was all that's left it shouldn't be too hard to replace it," he said now only a couple of feet away from the fire. He didn't realize that he craved warmth until their was warmth.
"Fancy trick your girl can do there," he said, a bit too transfixed on the fire, but soon he even caught his strange amount of attention to the fire. Shaking his head he finally realized how close he had gotten to them, "Ahh, but I'm appreciative of it." Again, he had no clue if he even had proper permission to share the fire.

This one talks a lot, Miranda thought as she absent mindedly nodded along with his words. It was a passing thought, not an criticism. She had belonged to a group and she supposed she still did, but that was a week or two ago. There wasn't many opportunities to meet or speak with others when she was flying or resting. Which was really the only thing she did while searching for her missing friend. She glanced at the male sitting by he fire, just realizing he was a local. Probably.
"Have you seen a beast like her?" She said, motioning towards the dragon, which was now curled up by the fire. She looked back at the man to see he was hanging back from the fire. She felt a flicker of annoyance. Was he that afraid of the dragon? It was a little silly. Maybe she just forgot how normal people reacted to beasts.
"It's okay. You can move closer. Edlira will not bite." She said with a small smile before adding, "Unless I tell her to."

“A beast like she?” He copied her words as his gaze traveled between the two females. “If ye’r talking about a dragon rider’s dragon then no ma’am. Not for some time. Now if it’s any other dragon we chase’m away,” he responded with a guilty smile. His smile grew wider as did his eyes when she added what he took as a threat.
“Noted,” he added as he got closer to take a seat next to the fire, specifically sitting the furthest from her dragon.
“But we don't get many dragons here regardless. Just small ones looking to claim a lair. So they are pretty feisty little things. They've burnt a house or two before tryin to clear out land. Little pests they are, er, no offense,” he rambled on as he let the warmth of the fire relax his tense muscles.
“But I recon ye’r looking for someone or something?” Raising a knee up he used it to rest his arms on as he gave her a questionable look. “Not many rider's travel alone around here,” he simply stated from his own experience. Also her question about if he had seen a dragon peaked his interest.

No offensive was taken from his words or actions. She understood the fear from him more and how he knew the dragon could produce fire. Untamed beasts were no good to any human. She had seen their damage first hand. She didn't like when people hunted them for sport, but she understood protection. It was actually quite helpful knowing there were other dangerous creatures around this area. It gave her a hint to why Danel came to this area.
Miranda hummed as she thought about Danel and why he must have come to the area. The only conclusion she could come up with was that he must have heard the rumors of something big in the area and was trying to tame it. There was a limit to everyone's power but Danel could never accept such a thing. Miranda couldn't criticize him too much, she was pretty much the same. Didn't know when to stop and that was why she was searching for him.
"Yeah. He is a man with black hair and blue eyes. He would seem a little too interested in beasts around him." She sighed, thinking about the troublesome male. If the local hadn't seen a dragon then Danel could have released the beast in favor of saving up his power. It was a smart move, even if the rest of his plan was foolish. "What is the most dangerous thing around here? It is probably large and deadly." She asked, looking over at Bow.

Bow had opened his mouth a could of times to say some snarky remark about her description, but decided this probably wasn't the best of times to do so. Instead he changed positions so he supported himself with his hand behind his back. Looking up towards the ceiling as he rolled his shoulders until he heard a satisfying pop of some joints.
"Dangerous beasts you say?" He once again repeated her words as he thought about it. "We got some Bugbears and a report of a Wendigo up in the mountains. If you consider Shapeshifters to be dangerous we occasionally see those wonder into the town, but they must have a lick of nymph blood in em 'cause they play nasty trick on town's folk 'n travelers. Again, the occasional dragons.... aannnnnnn' a Thunderbird," he replied as he rubbed underneath his neck. The small prickly of a growing beard told him he was in need of a shave soon. "That's about it that I can think of. Most these beasts keep to themselves and we never go out to bother them. Not a lot of travelers in these parts that we fear them beasts scaring off." He responded as he mulled over the seclusion of the three towns that shared the mountainside. It was a nice quiet life of a self sustaining civilization, and when a traveler did come by, it only raised their fortunes and rose their spirits.
"But now I wouldn't recon following your friend's footsteps. Not without someone who knew their way around these parts. Whereas we got some dangerous beasts, we got a few littler one's that are quite nasty. Also since we got the mountains, the winds get quite dangerous for a fliers, not to mention it's unexpected weather it throws out. Most people find it safer to travel by foot despite some owning themselves a griffin or two," he added as he pointed a finger at her in a warning. "Lucky for you, I am the man for such the job," he said without leaving her room to think about the previous information he gave her. "I know the small cracks and crevices of these lands. Seen enough of it's critters to know where your friend may be hiding, er well, sounds more like hunting."

Miranda shook her head as he listed off the creatures. Some were too easy and others too difficult. While Danel was looking to challenge himself, somethings were impossible. Shapeshifters for an example. They were too human for anyone to tame. At least, their weak attempts showed no progress. Her theory was that these types were too human to be tamed. A thunderbird sounded like a grand prize however. If she had to pick out one, it would be the thunderbird. They were proud creatures and powerful creatures, so a prime target for a difficult taming.
Now, Miranda did take offense to the word hunting. While they had hunted creatures before for food and other things, they did not search for prey to take down. Creatures were only killed if it was necessary. She did not comment only because his offer was tempting. Normally, she would refuse. She had a dragon and a good idea of which direction Danel was headed. She could find them. However, she wasn't foolish enough to ignore the male's words. She might have to leave Edlira soon and get to Danel before he killed himself. Time was something she could not waste.
"Is there something you want?" She asked, now staring at the man. She raised an eyebrow after a second. There was no way he didn't want something. She really hoped it wasn't a foolish request like the dragon. She didn't want to have to explain her power quite yet to the man. Especially since he hadn't explained his.

There was a moment of hesitation as his heart stopped when she looked displeased at something he had said. It was only a moment and once it passed he calmed down. Yet she caught on quickly as to a sort of 'you scratch my back and I scratch yours' deal he was offering. "Well yes, there is. Now while this area is quite nice and all that, I'd like to give myself some time away from here. Not many come here, and even fewer are looking to take on a new worker. So I was hoping to get a lift to a town some ways off. I've heard word of a bustling town from many people but never had the means of getting to it," he paused so he could turn his attention back to the resting dragon that shared their shelter. "But I would like to think that your girl could carry some extra weight for a day or two's travel," he said with a wide, hopeful, grin.
Sure, life here was nice, some trouble came on occasion to shake things up, but when you had the land memorized and little to no outside business coming through the area, their wasn't much worth in being a guild when everyone else also knew the same path. "It would also be neat I recon to possible see some of these rare beasts and have a hand to ward 'em off. If our path chooses such a fate," he added with a simple shrug. His attention resting back on the stranger as he waited for her answer. A glint of something else was in his gaze, but it also could have been the reflection of the fire in his eyes that could be playing on the eagerness he gave off to.

Miradna was shifting her opinion of him from slightly homely traveler to suspicious businessman. He had some sort of game going on here. There was something more. She just wasn't sure what. Sure, he could be telling the whole truth. Maybe he did just want protection to the next town over. However, she doubted that. He seemed too eager for a man who was so nervous when they first met. But then again, what other choice did she have? There wasn't many people offering to lead her through the mountains in search of her foolish companion. She sighed.
"Fine. You'll lead me through the mountains and I'll make sure you get through them in one piece. No death, but I can't promise no wounds." She tried to make clear that, while she was willing to ward off death, she was not going to go to all the lengths to protect him. If he did anything foolish, then it was his fault. "Just a word of caution, do not try to attack or steal the dragon. There is a limit to my ability to keep her at bay." She warned. Again, too many people had tried to attack the dragon and the results were not pretty. Not like Miranda really bothered to stop the beast.
"Other than that, we should be fine. If you give me your bags, I can attach them to the saddle so she can carry them." Miranda said, holding out her hand. She wanted to get any early start as possible. Even if the rain was still going strong, there was no time like the present to prepare.

His eagerness quickly bubbled into a hard contained excitement. It was clear that he had become enthusiastic despite her slight reluctance to agreeing. Only really picking up a few words in one ear and out the other as she spoke, to him, too slow. Her word of warning had dampened his excitement though, if only for a second before he burst out with a "F***'IN FINALLY!" His volume only echoing through the stone shelter. "This dry arse of a marry go round can kiss my... ahh, sorry," he said as he dismissed his outburst of genuine joy.
Looking at her hand he couldn't help but laugh at her unsaid suggestion to leave now. Placing his hand on top of hers he slightly pushed it down as he gave her a smirk, "We ain't going anywhere soon ma'am. This storm is just startin' and I ain't freezing my balls off, especially now that we got a fire going," he said, but soon slid his hand behind hers as he slapped his other hand into her's and gave it an affirmative shake. "But you better imagine I wont be ready to leave once she's spat up the worst she can throw at us," he said as he refereed to the storm.
Bow quickly let go of her hand as he stretched upwards with a smug smile still plastered on his face. "'N no worry ma'am, I ain't pickin no fight with a dragon. Nor so I know how to even fly one even if I COULD," he added as his gaze went back over to her. "If I am askin yer help to meet other beasts what makes ya think I am wanting to start now?" raising his hand up he stopped himself from rambling on more, "Ya have my word. No funny business, can't have myself making enemies with someone I am asking help from. Besides, it's a long night and I'm expectin us to be too tired to start picking fights. Especially after yer crash landin'," he didn't know if he was digging himself a deeper hole or if he was helping to prove that he meant no funny business, but he couldn't find an off switch for his own voice. Especially now that he had the opportunity to leave if he could survive her portion of the deal.

Miranda jumped a bit at the man's outburst. She looked him up and down, wondering what was wrong. Even Edlira opened her eyes to watch the strangely excited male. After his next words, both females relaxed. Miranda sighed, but there was a small smile on her lips. Bow may be strange, but at least he wasn't boring. It would be an interesting trip. Then again, that might lead to a more troublesome trip. At least she wouldn't be alone any more.
When he touched her, she was wondering if this was all a mistake. Maybe traveling alone wasn't that bad. Maybe slapping the man and taking her leave wouldn't be such a bad idea. The rain wasn't all that bad. A rumble of thunder made her think differently. She supposed he had a point about the rain continuing, but she wanted as much time as possible to travel. They would loose precious daylight if they spent time to gather their things and pack. Miranda didn't have enough energy to complain. The more she sat, the more she realized she was sore and tired. He took her hand back as soon as possible.
"Okay, okay." She said, hoping to stop his rambling. "Let's get some rest. There is no point in staying awake right now." She stood up and moved closer to her dragon. Despite Bow's reassurance, she did not trust him in the least. She picked up the saddle and bag and moved them closer to the dragon, hoping the creature would see the things as part of her hoard and protect them. She too would have to rest near the creature. Her blanket was soaked through, so she didn't have that to keep her warm. She would have to rely on the dragon's heat once the fire burned itself out. She sat down with her back to the creature's.

"I do concur that is a wise idea," he commented as he left her to her own devices for setting up her own sleeping situation. He himself taking this opportunity to go back to his dark little corner. Digging out the small belongings he had in his own bag he pulled out the pants he had also planned on putting on. Slipping them on he found this pair also too large and having to tie the waste tighter with the pre-made belt to keep it from falling off.
Checking on his damp clothes he left those where he left them to dry while he packed everything else he owned into his bag. Leaving an empty jar as the last item to stuff in his light backpack. Twirling it around he eyed it for a moment as he contemplated something in his mind, but he quickly shook the thought as he stuffed it into his bag and brought it back to the fire. "Well, best of wishes ma'am. See you in the wake," he said as he rested himself on the opposite end of the fire. Using the edge of his backpack as a pillow. "Storm'll be over before ya know it 'n we'll be on our way," he mulled over the plans to himself mostly as he stared up at the ceiling. Contemplating thoughts in his mind as plans began to unfold faster than he wanted his thoughts to work. His overworking plans also meant that his brain was too wired up to give him the idea of sleep. At least it gave him time to plan their route to the Thunderbird nest, because he could tell she wasn't going to be much to enjoying the sights.
(Hope you don't mind if I time skip here)
As the night grew darker the storm grew louder. Thunder cracking across the sky more and more to the point the light the foliage allowed in showed the interior of their shelter for a few seconds. All the while Bow slept through the skies battle cry, sleep finally taking his mind once he had a general idea of how to make their way through the mountains came to his mind. But as the sun threatened to begin it's turn in the sky, the storm had calmed down to it's typical tropical rains. Bow himself having woken up at the tail end of the storm's worse and simply listened to it. Taking a deep breath he let out a silent yawn as he made finally got up so he could go collect his, still, hanging clothes from the back. He didn't really care to check if the woman, or more specifically her dragon, were awake yet or not.
