this clan has been completed if i find anything that i've written on this page taken from here you will catch these hands seriously i even reworded a fair amount of the warrior code i will probably notice if you want resources for making a clan, feel free to pm me i am friendly and nonthreatening until you take from me.
while you can post, i actually have most of this sorted out. i don't have a layout but i'm not too fussed on that considering i can be awful about them (picky, i mean) how you can help: you can just tell me if you're interested in joining or not! it gives me way more motivation to create this, ngl d: [ you could also help decide the name from the suggestions i have, if you'd like! that would be nice. chatting is also a-okay! ]
basic skeleton: - semi adv clan, a paragraph per response, preferably mirrored between partners. dialogue posts are obviously going to be shorter. - traditional, following general clan life + prophecies/other drama. - set around a volcano; at the base. it's primarily rocky territory with a small, sparse forest that serves as their main hunting ground. their camp is set within the forest. the volcano has a lava lake, but has not erupted recently (or in clan history). - their own traditions; mate traditions and apprentice-to-warrior traditions, most notably.
- maybe moonclan instead of starclan? changed my mind lol i like star - fairly used to humans going to the volcano due to the lava lake in the cooler seasons, but the territory becomes infinitely more dangerous when that happens.
name ideas: cinderclan, ashclan, moltenclan, magmaclan particularly fond of cinderclan & moltenclan
going for moltenclan

save for warrior code, ranks (traditional, probably) & clan characteristics (note about the code: some have been deleted as the clan has no borders with other clans, so their code revolves around them and not others)
Warrior Code I. Defend your Clan, even with your life. While friendships are permitted outside of the Clan, remember where your loyalties lie. II. Do not hunt or trespass on outside territory; it is not ours to claim. III. Elders, queens, and kittens must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders and queens. If an apprentice or a warrior is sick, they may eat with the elders and the queens. IV. Prey is killed only to be eaten. V. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice. VI. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name. VII. A cat cannot be made Deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice. This does not count a current apprentice. VIII. The deputy will become the Clan Leader when the previous leader dies or retires. IX. After the death or retirement of the Deputy, another must be chosen before two sunrises pass. X. Boundaries are marked and checked daily; challenge all trespassing cats. XI. No warrior can neglect a kitten in danger or pain, even if the kitten is an outsider. XII. The word of the Clan Leader is treated as Code. XIII. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.
Clan Ranking The Leader is the highest power in the Clan, with the suffix -star. They are granted nine lives to give them a long and prosperous leadership, and they make important decisions including naming apprentices and warriors, as well as assigning mentors. The Clan Deputy supports the leader and helps in running the Clan. They usually hold the responsibility of running border and hunting patrols, as well as overlooking all apprentice training. If, for any reason, the leader is unable to lead the Clan for a period of time, the deputy is the one who steps up temporarily. They become the leader if the previous one dies/retires during the deputy's lifetime. The Medicine Cat is the source of herbal and medicinal knowledge. They are responsible for looking after the injured and sick cats, as well as identifying when there are strains of illnesses within the Clan that need to be quarantined. They are also the closest to StarClan, sharing tongues with them every half moon. If there is an omen or a prophecy, the Medicine Cat will know. They are forbidden from having kittens or a mate. The Medicine Cat Apprentice follows underneath the Medicine Cat, learning all they can from their mentor. Along with their medicinal training, a Medicine Cat Apprentice will also be assigned to a mentor that already has an apprentice to learn basic fighting and hunting so that they can help their Clan in times of need. Warriors are a majority of the Clan, separated into three distinct roles; Senior Warriors, which are cats older than forty-five moons, Warriors, who are the majority of the rank, and New Warriors, the warriors who have had their name for under five moons. They are responsible for hunting and protecting the Clan, as well as raising apprentices. Apprentices are the cats aged six moons and above, with a minimum graduating age of twelve moons. They are trained under a single mentor, but it's common for them to learn from various warriors. Queens are the cats in the nursery with kittens or expecting kittens, or those who cannot fight or hunt and wish to help raise the young. Every queen helps raise each-other's kits, and if more than one queen has kits at a time, it's common for the kittens to be shared between each of them to help maximise the survival rates. Kittens are the youngest in the Clan, those aged under six moons. Elders are retired warriors - the minimum age is sixty-five moons, but there's no maximum age. If a warrior is physically capable of doing something for the Clan, then it's known for them to stay in that role. It is known for some to be retired early, but it's a rarity within the Clan.
Clan Characteristics Being a lone Clan, MoltenClan are very all-for-themselves. They do not care for outsiders but they are willing to extend a welcome if the cat wishes to join, meaning that they have a decent reputation among loners and rogues. That said, they are fairly vicious when it comes to chasing out kittypets - which are a rarity in the territory. The MoltenClan community is fairly close-knit. They come in all shapes and sizes, though it's more common to have shorthaired coats due to the heat of the territory. Their paw pads have adapted to be rough due to the ground's heat and roughness, too.

Traditions of MoltenClan It is no secret that each Clan often has their own traditions, and MoltenClan is no different. They have a few very distinct traditions alongside traditional ceremonies. Spring Awakening is when the sleepiness of Leafbare begins to wear off, and prey begins to rise from their slumber. On the third day of the heat returning, six warriors - two from each subrank - are sent out on a mass hunt for a Clan Feast. This serves as both population control and to regain strength for the entire Clan. The Greenleaf Solstice is as one would expect; set in the middle of Greenleaf, it is the longest day and similarly to the Awakening, the Clan have a feast. It is a smaller-scale feast and, once again, serves as population control. The Leafbare Solstice is set in the middle of Leafbare and, instead of a mass hunt, it is considered a hibernation day; all cats may remain in camp to sleep and rest. Prey is gathered beforehand so that they do not go hungry on this day. To become a warrior, an apprentice must complete the Trial of Lava. This consists of the apprentice climbing the very volcano that the Clan is settled next to, usually alongside another apprentice of the same age (or older, if there's an apprentice older than twelve moons). It is an exhausting task and the apprentice only has until moonhigh to complete the climb and get back; they usually start just before sunrise. It is a trial to test if the apprentice is capable of pacing themselves. A warrior will follow from a distance but, if they have to intervene, the trial is failed and the apprentice may not graduate. It is the reason that many of the apprentices dip into the fifteen moon age range before they graduate. Birds of a Feather is a mate tradition. To show their feelings for another cat, one may gather the feather of a bird - the rarer the bird, the stronger their affection though this does not mean a common bird means a lack of it - and, at moonhigh, they may gift it to the one they have feelings for. If the recipient accepts the feelings and wishes to become the mate of the first cat, they go to the Medicine Cat to have the feather pierced into their ear. Then, they gather a feather for the cat they wish to become mates with, usually of a matching colour but never of the same bird species. The piercing process is repeated for the first cat, and they are officially mates. Toms have their feather in the left ear, while she-cats have theirs in the right. Any gender may give a feather to any gender. For every four seasons (a complete year) that the couple is together, they usually gather more feathers and have those pierced next to the original. Again, matching colours but never of the same bird species. If a cat is missing the ear that they require their feathers on, they may have it on the other; but if they're missing both or it's impossible to pierce, they may also make a necklace of twined dried grass and their feathers, but this holds a risk of losing the feathers.

General Rules I won't sit here and yell into the avoid or anything, so this section won't be long. This is a semi-advanced Clan and, as such, I expect a paragraph or so of roleplay per post. No one/two-liners, please. A good paragraph is generally three to four lines, and it's best to add what detail you can to give your roleplay partner(s) something to reply to. Mirroring tends to be a good idea (or half their length if it's longer than you want to do). Activity would be nice, and is necessary for higher roles and those who are in a plotline. Naturally, realistic pelt and eye colours are required; please don't make a thousand blue-eyed cats as it grows old, and no, blue-eyed black cats don't exist unless it's a specific breed. Creativity is fun, yes - but unrealistic colours/colour combinations can become frustrating when it becomes common. Eh, basic roleplay etiquette - don't control another's characters, don't make your cat invincible/untouchable or the best, and so on. That sort of thing.

The Territory Set at the base of a volcano, MoltenClan is used to a fairly constant heat except in the Leafbare moons. The volcano itself is tall and rocky, hard to climb up due to how steep it is; there's a path, but it's used by twolegs and considered unsafe. The Forest is where most of the Clan activity is; not only does it serve as a rich hunting ground. Though the trees are sparse, the grass is thick and tall, and it's perfect for keeping cover. This is also where the Clan's camp is located; it's settled in the middle of a grove of trees, with the dens consisting of fallen logs and large bushes. The leader makes announcements from a log stump. The Base of the Volcano is a rocky area known for twoleg activity, but in the months where there are no twolegs, it makes for perfect sunning ground as the boulders are smooth and warm and the sun is in an ideal place, most of the time. The Lake of Lava is located at the very top of the volcano, and it's what makes it more dangerous. Though it's considered very pretty to look at, it can be rather unnerving to be around it. The Rushing River is the river that cuts through the territory and serves as the water supply for the Clan. In Leafbare, it's fast-moving and dangerous; but fish are plentiful here. Frog Pond is a little pond used for drinking in Leafbare, but it's covered in frogs and newts and snakes. It can be dangerous.
Prey Mice [extremely common] Voles [extremely common] Rabbits [common] Deer [common, requires four warriors at least] Lizards [common] Frogs [common] Various birds [common to very rare] Newts [common] Snakes [only some; common] Insects [common] Shrews [uncommon] Weasels [rare] Mountain Goats [very rare, requires four warriors at least]
Predators Foxes [uncommon] Raccoons [uncommon] Coyotes [uncommon] Snakes [only some; uncommon] Owls [uncommon] Buzzards [rare] Eagles [rare] Weasels [rare] Dogs [rare; twoleg moons only] Twolegs [varying rarities, Leafbare moons only]
