(would you like to rp? and I wondered if there could be a mate for Spiderblossom?) (I've got Littlepaw, Maplebreeze, and Gorseflight. I've also got Willowstorm and Fogkit unless aether wants to do something with them. Maybe Littlepaw? I've been excited to use him. But also I'm working on a bunch of stuff so I'm not sure how fast my replies will be)

Spiderblossom was sprawled out in her nest in the nursery, this far into her pregnancy it was becoming increasingly difficult for the lanky queen to find any position from which she could draw even the most remote amount of comfort. The result of which was this less then elegant position. Her long black tail was draped across her nose, fluttering a little with each breath as she enjoyed her sleep. Peace wouldn't be with her very much longer as it would be only a few days until the kits would be welcomed into the clan, so she took what opportunity she could to build her energy. The truth was she was terrified for the arrival of her kits, frightened that she would fail the kits as a mother, as her own had done.
A beam of light striking the nursery roused the young queen from her sleep, and Spiderblossom let out a gentle sigh as she lifted her head. Twitching her ears as she grew acquainted to the light of the nursery, she looked around. Curious as to who was still around, a little worried that she might have slept in a lot more than she had intended to.

Rabbitspring kept a bit quiet, he didn't have anything to say. Stormstrike took the lead and he merely followed. He glanced to Amberpaw, who was walking closer to him than the others, and a soft chuckle rumbled in his chest. As an apprentice, he had been scared of the bigger and stronger cats of the clan until he'd found his place as a warrior. So, he kept up with the group. When Stormstrike stopped, he did too, and turned his gaze to Sedgepaw and Amberpaw for their responses.
Sedgepaw bounded along behind the patrol, she could barely keep her paws contained long enough to walk in a straight line. So she almost ran right into Stormstrike when he stopped walking. She stepped back and tilted her head curiously as he spoke, then she looked to Amberpaw for an answer. And Amberpaw was looking back at her. So she giggled. "Uh... how about the pond? There's always plenty of prey to catch around the pond!" She meowed. Whilst that was correct, the pond also had the most dangers - and it could sometimes be unsafe. But with their mentors keeping their eyes on them, and them using all the skills they've learnt, they should hopefully be okay.

Kestrelclaw padded into the camp with a plump pigeon in his jaws. Beside him, Jackdawstar and Nettlefang were also a part of his patrol. They each split off into their own directions, and Kestrelclaw went straight to the nursery. Generally, he seemed unapproachable. His green eyes were often narrowed, his face often appeared grumpy. He wasn't a mean cat, but he certainly wasn't too interested in others. Except for Willowstorm. And except for his kits. So, he stepped over the little fence that surrounded the small bushy area where the nursery and apprentice dens are, and he pushed his way into the nursery. He looked to Spiderblossom, splayed ungracefully in her nest, and he nodded to her. Then he turned to Willowstorm and couldn't help the soft sounding purr that vibrated in his throat. He bent down and placed the pigeon at her paws, then gave her forehead a lick. "Good morning," he purred softly. Then, he felt the small body of a kitten weaving between his legs.
"Can we play with it?!" Mistykit piped up, already swiping with unsheathed claws at the tail feathers of the pigeon. The enthusiastic she-kit loved playing with the feathers - or really, she loved playing with whatever she could get her paws on. The fuzzy she-cat turned to her brother, "Fogkit, let's play!" She mewled.
Kestrelclaw purred in amusement, and looked at Willowstorm. "How are you?"

LittleflowerLittlepaw had spent the morning sorting through his herbs before doing his morning checks. There weren't many cats that would need to be checked on, since the warriors and Apprentices were in good health. Willowstorm wasn't much of a concern anymore either. Her kits were almost old enough to be Apprentices and he trusted the queen to come to him if she noticed any problems with herself or her kits. And if she didn't come, he was sure Kestrelclaw or Stormstrike would see something and fetch him. Littlepaw made his way to the elders den first, just checking up to make sure everyone was feeling alright. No complaints except for the forever common sore joints. He mentally recorded the complaints about their old joints before making his way to the nursery. He nodded at Willowstorm and her kits before making his way over to Spiderblossom. "How are you feeling today?" he asked, looking at the queen. He didn't see anything immediately wrong, which was good. Her kits would be the first he helped with. Willowstorm had had her kits when he was still in the nursery himself. (By the way I love your avatar. Do you ride horses?)

aetherFogkit had woken up his sister and mother as soon as he'd woken up. There hadn't been much activity going on in camp at that hour, but he wanted to sit and watch all the older warriors as they got up for the day. Willowstorm had reluctantly agreed and dragged herself to her feet to watch the warriors with her kits. She couldn't help missing her warrior duties as she watched the camp begin to bustle with activities. Sure, she loved her kits more than anything. They were beautiful and strong and she was so proud, but she also missed her days of hunting and patrolling the borders and just being out doing stuff. After some time, she'd convinced her kits to settle down so she could take a bit of a nap. She swore she got less sleep as a queen than she had as a warrior. She hadn't been resting in her nest for long before Kestrelclaw had entered and dropped the pigeon at her paws. She purred, any exhaustion gone when she saw her mate. "Tired," she replied. "You?" Fogkit had been only steps behind Mistykit and he poked the pigeon with a paw. "Aw, but it's no fun! It's dead!" he looked up at his father. "Next time you should bring us something alive so we can hunt it just like warriors!" he declared. He pawed at the ground before pouncing on some invisible creature. The young tom was clearly excited about being a warrior and had dreams of one day being leader.

Doveheart felt as though her heart was about to burst through her chest. She wasn't sure she could stretch her legs any further than they already were. She just hoped that the dog took the bait to follow her and didn't think Frostpaw would be the easier target. So, when she heard the yapping sound that only a dog could make, she froze mid stride and scrambled to turn around.
The small dog was bouncing up and down on its back legs with its front paws leaning on the tree. Above it, Frostpaws figure was clutching the tree. "No!" Doveheart turned back and raced towards the dog, "leave him alone!" She shouted. Fueled by the image of Frostpaw potentially being mauled by a dog, she raced perhaps faster than she'd ever had too. Finally, as she reached the tree, she leaped into the air. And landed herself into the dogs side.
The dog yapped at the sudden hit and whipped around to snap at the she-cat. It's teeth collided with the tip of Dovehearts ear, tearing a small rip at the ear tip. Doveheart gritted her teeth with pain, but swiped back with her claws unsheathed. Luckily, it was only a small dog and its bark seemed to be bigger than its bite, because as she swiped at it, its tail fell between its legs and it hunched back.
But what stopped the attack was the sound of shouting twolegs approaching. Doveheart whipped around to Frostpaw, ensured he was unscathed, and pushed herself up into the tree. It was when she was perched on the first tree branch with her heart pounding in her ears that she realised her muscles now felt weak, and her ear was throbbing with pain.
(ashfeather ) FROSTPAW | Small Park | Doveheart
Frostpaw scrambled up the tree, his claws slipping a couple of times but helping him to climb up the tree. Hearing the dog yapping beneath him only made him climb faster, his heart beating hard with fear. Of course, fear also made him more clumsy, and he almost slipped of the first branch he reached, only just saving himself in time by gripping his claws in harder and regaining his balance. Why the dog had decided to go after him rather than Doveheart, he didn't know. But one thing was for sure: this was the most scared he had been probably ever.
He turned around just in time to see Doveheart leaping at the dog, marvelling at her bravery to attack the dog and protect him. He flinched as the dog bit down on to her ear, but was relieved when it seemed to falter at Doveheart's counter attack. At the sound of Twolegs approaching, his heart once again sped up, and he crouched to hide himself behind the leaves of the tree. Thankfully, the Twoleg seemed more interested in its dog than the two cats lying out of reach, and after shouting some foreign words to the two of them, it walked off, carrying its dog with them.
Frostpaw turned to Doveheart when the coast was clear and sat up straight once more, breathing hard despite not having exerted much energy in his climb. "Thank you. For protecting me and all." he said softly, meeting her gaze. It was perhaps the most words he had strung together that morning, but he wanted to make sure that she knew how grateful he was for her standing up to the dog when he had been in trouble. His eyes moving to look over her injured ear, he frowned when he saw the blood that was beginning to spill. "We should head back; you need to get that looked at."

Littleflower Littlepaw had spent the morning sorting through his herbs before doing his morning checks. There weren't many cats that would need to be checked on, since the warriors and Apprentices were in good health. Willowstorm wasn't much of a concern anymore either. Her kits were almost old enough to be Apprentices and he trusted the queen to come to him if she noticed any problems with herself or her kits. Willowstorm had had her kits when he was still in the nursery himself. (By the way I love your avatar. Do you ride horses?) (Yeah, have done for ages! broke my back when I was little XD and I don't think anyone noticed my question from yesterday, would anyone like to rp the father?)
Awaking to the sound of paw steps the young queen lifted her head and straightened herself with great effort and a yawn, twitching her ears and returning to her more elegant manner as usual. She watched the apprentice approach with a tired smile, trying to blink the sleep from her eyes. Her sides were swollen to almost twice the size of how the normal shecat would have looked, and it appeared that the toll of her first pregnancy was beginning to show on the slender queen. Spiderblossom shrugged her shoulders, never one to complain unless she could absolutely help it, knowing the medicine cats would probably have enough to worry about currently. She had no intention of adding to their concerns unless she found it absolutely necessary.
"I've been better," she admitted quietly regarding her large stomach with a chuckle and a purr. In spite of the general exhaustion that had been brought on from carrying a litter of kits, the excitement to how she carried herself was apparent to anyone who as much as glanced in her direction. But it was somewhat marred by the natural nerves which this situation brought with it.

Littleflower(That's awesome! Except for the back part. That sounds horrible... I've ridden saddleseat for about 6-7 years and I've been jumping for about a year. I could use Gorseflight? I'll just age him down to fit. His form is on the joining page) Littlepaw nodded as he looked her over. If there were no major problems, he could move on. Of course, the apprentice had no one else to check on and it had been a while since he had sat down and had a conversation with someone. He did t want to intrude on whatever it was that the queens did all day, but he didn't thin Spiderblossom would have much of a problem if he stayed to chat. "Just remember to come find me if there's any problems," he reminded her. He paused slightly. "Are you excited?" He didn't envy the queens and was glad to know that he'd never have kits. He had been a kit himself not to long ago, and he saw how much of a handful Fogkit and Mistykit were. Willowstorm seemed constantly exhausted, though she was in good health, and he couldn't imagine having to be in charge of a litter of kits all day. He shook his head. Medicine cat life was definitely for the tom. He likely could've been a warrior if he wanted, but he was much smaller and weaker than his clanmates and could easily be mistaken as a kit due to how sick he'd been when he was young.

(that'd be fine with me )
Happy to have company, the pretty queen chuckled softly. "I wouldn't be much of a mother if I wasn't I don't think," she replied with a rumbling purr coming from her chest. She watched the only other kits in the nursery from the corner of her eye, she had taken to doing this, trying to learn from the older queen as to how to care for a litter. A part of her was scared she wouldn't be a good mother, and Spiderblossom did all she could to try and make sure this wouldn't happen. Her sides rippled with a fresh round of kicking from the kits she carried inside and she chuckled at this. "Though they're going to be energetic." She added with a gentle purr of laughter coming from her once again. The usually sharp witted warrior had become softer with the prospect of becoming a mother, though if it would last only time would tell.

(Alright. I'll change his age at some point) LittleflowerLittlepaw nodded. He wished he had some advice to give the queen. He'd asked Willowstorm at some point shortly after he'd become a medicine cat apprentice and she'd told him that she didn't know anything since this was her first litter. He'd been slightly disappointed by that answer, but was convinced that Willowstorm would help Spiderblossom out. She'd been excited to have another cat move into the nursery with her. "Oh, I'm sure they will be. If only they were closed in age to Fogkit and Mistykit," he said, knowing that it would be easier for the new mother if the older kits could occupy her kits and play with them. Unfortunately they were a little too old and would probably be Apprenticed by the time that Spiderblossom's kits were old enough to be rambunctious and spend their days play fighting and running around. He looked around the nursery, feeling almost as comfortable in here as he did in the medicine cat den. Those were his two favorite places in camp, and the only places he'd spent his kithood. He'd actually had two siblings, but he was the only one that had survived.

Letting out a low chuckle, Spiderblossom shook her head, "I'm sure they'll be able to keep themselves occupied well enough, I feel as large as a badger!" She said with a grin. Shifting from one paw to the other in an attempt to find a more comfortable position, it wasn't necessarily a lie. The usually slender queen was massive compared to how she usually looked, slender and tall. She twitched an ear continuing to listen to the rambunctious actions of the kits nearby, the grin only becoming larger on her dark coloured face as she watched their kit like antics with a twitch of amusement to her whiskers. "Though StarClan help me if they're as mischevious," she purred. Though there was no malicious tone to her voice, only amusement and a hint of affection to the cats she shared the nursery with.
Realising the conversation had so far been very centred around her, the queen's ears warmed with embarrassment as she scolded herself for impoliteness. "How are you, Littlepaw?" she asked with a tilt to her head, honesty and curiousity also in her words, not merely attempting to make small talk. "How's the world outside of this little nursery."It feels lifetimes away.

"I'm not bringing you two any live prey - we aren't supposed to play with our food," he scolded them with a voice so gentle it was hardly scolding. He bent down and gave both kits a lick on their foreheads. "You can use the feathers to make the nest nice and soft, though," he suggested.
Mistykit pounced at Fogkit, knocking into his side. "You can be the pigeon and I'll be the warrior!" She squeaked and she gnawed at his ear. She made sure to be gentle, because she knew her small kitten teeth were sharp. The fuzzy she-kit always enjoyed playing, and despite being so small, she acted like she was full-grown. She scrambled away from Fogkit and plucked a feather from the pigeon with her teeth. She placed it on the ground and began stalking it like prey - her chest brushed on the ground while her tail end was high in the air.
Kestrelclaw rolled his eyes and sat down, he began to pluck the bird. He let the feathers fall, knowing Fogkit and Mistykit would enjoy the play. "You should go out sometime, I can take care of the kits for a while," he suggested to Willowstorm.

(aether ) Doveheart panted, her eyes were wide with fear - a some shock too. The she-cat had never some close to an encounter like that before. She started to tremble as she looked at Frostpaw, but she knew she had to remain strong. She didn't want to scare the young tom more than he already had been, so she swallowed hard and nodded to him slowly. "Yes, lets go." She meowed slowly. With trembling paws she began to make her way back down the tree trunk, almost slipping and falling, but she kept her grip as good as the shocked she-cat could manage. Her ear was throbbing but she was hardly able to notice over all the other feelings and emotions she had overtaking her senses. The warm blood oozed over her ear - making the smallish nick in her ear appear worse than it really was. After ensuring Frostpaw made it safely down, she meowed, "Take the squirrel, lets go." And she began to walk back to the camp. The trembling in her paws started to ease as she was focusing on her path and the destination.

LittleflowerLittlepaw smiled. "Oh, I'm sure you'll forget about al the inconveniences when they're finally born," he pointed out. He loved kits, even if he wasn't much more than one himself. "Plus, imagine the day you'll see them become warriors." Or medicine cats. Littlepaw hoped he wouldn't lose his mentor that soon, but if the real medicine cat died, then he'd be able to take on an apprentice someday. Littlepaw laughed when she asked how the world outside the nursery was. "I wish I knew," he said, shaking his head. "I've been going through the herb storage for the last few days and sorting them, throwing out the bad stuff, seeing what we need more of. The only time I've been out was checking on the elders or you and Willowstorm," he said. "I do have some free time today though, so I'm hoping to hang out with a few of the Warriors or other Apprentices to chat." He didn't often talk to the other Apprentices. Their job looked fun and he'd love to hear about their adventures, but he was busy with his own job.

"That's good to hear," Willowstorm said. Hunting patrols were always best with little excitement. That's when they brought back the most prey, and she knew food was one key to a healthy and strong clan. She allowed Kestrelclaw to scold the kits, glad to finally take a break and let him be the parent. She sat up, enjoying the smell of the pigeon that he'd brought in. "Aw," Fogkit said when Kestrelclaw said he wouldn't bring them anything live. He let his head hang slightly when his father told him not to play with his food, but he was back to his normal self within a few moments when Mistykit got to playing. "I'm always the prey!" he said, sticking his chest out. "I want to be the warrior this time." He crouched to the ground before pounding on his sister. He was careful not to hurt her as he encourage the other kit to wrestle with him. "We're gonna be the best warriors!" There was amusement in Willowstorm's gaze as she watched her kits. She then turned and looked at Kestrelclaw, helping him to pluck the bird. "I would love a break, but they'll eat you alive," Willowstorm teased. Though the litter of the kits was small, she'd seen them cause more trouble than litters twice their size. As they got older, it seemed that Fogkit and Mistykit only found themselves getting into more and more trouble. She knew they'd be a handful for their father. "It would be bIce to at least get out of the nursery more if I can't leave camp," she said. To be honest, she was nervous about leaving her kits. She wasn't sure she'd been away from them for more than a few minutes. aether

Draping the length of her black tail across the swell of her belly, she shook her head with a chuckle. As much as she was excited for the arrival of her kits, being stuck in the nursery bored her out of her mind. βIt wouldnβt take much for it to be more exciting then in here,β she said with an honest if not a little frustrated sounding tone to her voice. Resting her head on her shoulders as she thought for a moment. βThe most exciting thing that happens in here is if one of the kits decides to play moss ball,β she added with a mreow of amusement. Trying to make it not sound as though she was complaining, though for the most part failing in her attempts. She wasnβt built for staying in one place for so long as she had done in recent moons.
Twitching her ear at the sound of this, she raised her voice a little so the other queen could hear her from across the nursery. βI could use the practice if you two ever wanted a break from the kits,β she offered kindly.

Littlepaw shrugged. "I'd help you if I could, but I think it's a little late to leave the nursery," he pointed out. He'd have no problem accompanying Spiderblossom out of camp if she wanted, but if she had her kits while they were out of camp, that would be bad. There'd be no protection for her or her kits and Littlepaw was definitely no kind of protection. He only knew how to heal, not how to hurt. He'd asked Amberpaw to teach him some battle moves and she said she would, but she was always too busy to help Littlepaw learn. When the queen made her offer to the other pair, Littlepaw turned his head and nodded at Kestrelclaw. He hadn't heard the warrior enter. He watched as Willowstorm listened to spiderblossom and then turned to Kestrelclaw Littleflower

Kestrelclaw looked at his mate with eyes filled with affection. Besides Willowstorm and his kits, he was never this open to anyone else. His ear turned, then his head turned, when Spiderblossom spoke up. While usually he was rather cold, and initially he wanted to reject the offer, he paused. Then he looked back to Willowstorm. "If Spiderblossom takes care of them, we can go for a hunt," he suggested. He always loved to hunt, and he was sure Willowstorm missed the freedom too. He tilted his head, his green eyes staring and waiting for his mates response.
Mistykit was oblivious to the conversation going on around her. Instead, she batted at Fogkit with her tiny paws. "I'm going to be a leader! Mistystar!" She squealed. She knocked into Fogkits side, knocking them both off their feet, and sending them rolling. She giggled. She tended to be somewhat rougher when it came to play fighting, because she forgets in all the play that it is, in fact, just play.
