| Angels | Over | Rigun |
Plot
Deep in the mountains where night lasts for months on end exists a fair-sized town called Rigun that is lead by a group of priests. In the surrounding valleys there are many ruins of a civilization lost in time, the remains of cathedrals, strongholds, and castles litter the landscape and aren't hard to find. But Rigun is the only place of living civilization in the mountains and there isn't another town for many miles.
The tallest mountain, standing just a few miles away from Rigun, is called Coelum, which holds the ruins of a former mighty castle at the top. This ruined castle is home to the Celestials, women who look like angels with large wings and silver armor. They are far from being true angels, more like sirens, who like to lead men from the town to their deaths and kidnap young girls to become the next generations of Celestials. The Celetials make them lose their memories, trying to get them to forget about their families over time and turn them into celetials themselves.
Until a priestess managed to get a hold of Celestial blood, the humans from Rigun stood absolutely no chance of defeating even one Celestial. The priestess turned the blood into a potion that would gradually grant powers to a human after many repeated doses but not many of the townsfolk were willing to take it. While it can extend a person's life, give them unnatural strength, agility, and senses after a few weeks, and the ability to command animals, use telekinesis, or use magic after many months, it is also a painful transformation process, very slowly causing the user to lose their humanity and they are never the same again. Those who are willing to risk it for the sake of their town are called Nightmares, and they are the only ones who can kill Celestials and get the stolen girls back.
