hello!
my name is zilong, if you can't see my name; i've been various other things on the forums, but that's the one i'm going by now. i've been very on/off with roleplaying because i get easily bored and i want to try to fix that, sort of. the catch - because there's always a catch - is that i'm trying to expand on how much i write, meaning i'd like someone who is fine with 600+ words per post, preferably more. i ask this because i want to challenge myself & how i write, i want to be able to improve and expand.
to keep my interest, though, these posts can't just be constantly repeating things that have been mentioned previously; the more repetitive it gets, the more i lose interest, and so on. i like seeing into the thoughts of characters, perhaps some backstory sprinkled in as to why they react to certain things, and so on.
i like to think that my characters are fairly three-dimensional, and i have a few that are well-developed while others are still developing. character-driven plots are some of my favourite; actions leading to consequences are always fun, especially if they're not particularly good.
do i enjoy romance? sometimes i do, yes. do i enjoy forced romance? not at all. i won't roleplay plots that are solely romance, but i don't mind romance as a side-plot. it's just one of those things.
my main interests lay within crime & drama plots, but you don't need to think too hard about this as i can provide plots. this is a plot thread, after all - not just 'searching for a partner'. though, that works if you'd like to roleplay with me but you're not interested in the plots i have to offer.
i'm not too picky about activity, and i don't mind if you drop a plot. i'm semi-active. the quicker i reply to someone, the more into it i am. i reply in date order if i have multiple plots rather than interest order, though sometimes i'll stray from this for my own enjoyment, since it can be hard to write for something you don't have inspiration for.
tl:dr: advanced roleplaying, activity isn't necessary, crime is fun.

plot one: believer [crime/drama]
"you're the face of the future / the blood in my veins."
five years ago, muse a's father was assassinated. he was a politician, well-liked, no reason to be hurt aside from the work he did. he was a kind, hard-working man - muse a is angry, and rightly so. with the intentions of finding his killer, they end up joining the police force - now, they're going undercover.
their cover is that of an upcoming rookie in the criminal underground, someone skilled at what they do. while the police stage the 'assassinations' that they do, they have to keep a lower profile so as not to garner suspicion.
it takes a while, but eventually they get the attention that they might be looking for. muse b is something like an assassin, perhaps more likened to a hitman. they approach muse a with the intentions of finding out who they are and where they came from, and the easiest way to do this is to offer a job proposition.
the job is a long-running one, the target is the head of a drug cartel that has been causing a fair amount of trouble for muse b, but also their employer. muse a finds that this is a good opportunity; find out if muse b is the killer of their father, and take down the kingpin of a cartel. they take it, because it could help both their own goals and the goals of the police.
muse a: open
muse b: Gale Amari / male / 34 years old
plot two: the road to nowhere [crime]
"this song, it spells disaster / but it's buried beneath the laughter."
to be the leader of a medium-sized gang is just the start of muse a's plans; this is just their starting point, just something to keep them occupied while they take time away from the country they were from. they're doing well for themselves, they've kept the loyalty of the gang. though there have been no new members, things are going pretty decently.
enter muse b. failing in something they thought they were good at, tired of their general life, they've been poking around to find something that can bring them back up again. it's by mistake that they stumble across muse a's territory, and even more of a mistake that they stumble across muse a themselves.
the two talk and muse b realises what they've come across. with a spark of excitement, they ask if they can join - though muse a isn't too sure. they decide to take on muse b for curiosity's sake - what's the worst that can happen?
muse a: Camille Fournier / male / 28 years old
muse b: claimed
plot three: the great shipwreck of life [crime/mystery]
"to the brave and the petrified / we all fall down."
being a cop is hard work, and being a handler is even harder - but that's what muse a has to do. after a previous handler is killed in what appears to be triad crossfire, muse a is assigned to be muse b's handler.
muse b is supposed to be undercover within a triad, they have been for the past six years. they've been without a handler for a couple of months, now, which is making the higher-ups in the force a little concerned about whether or not they're on the police's side.
this is what muse a has to find out; they stay a little closer to muse b as their handler, call more meetings, and try to command them more. maybe they're diving into dangerous territory - more dangerous than it has any right to be.
maybe the higher-ups were right, and muse b is no longer on their side. who knows?
muse a: open
muse b: Lam Chengxin / male / 37 years old
plot four: buy the stars [warriors]
"you're still living life in the dark / it's just who you are."
when a fire burns through the forest that was their home, muse a is the only survivor of their clan. scared and alone, they know their best chance of survival is to go to the human's town, if only because it's the closest place with food.
it's here that they meet muse b, a kittypet who wanders the streets often. their owner is often absent, and so they often find themselves stuck outside for days on end.
muse b helps muse a find their feet in the alleys of the town, helps them figure out how to find food, helps them learn how to tell which gardens are dangerous to pass through. when all of this is one, muse a knows that they cannot live the life of a town cat; they are wild, and this place is not their home. they want to return to the wild, and so they mention this to muse b.
considering that this is their first potential friend, muse b offers to go along - and the two embark on a journey to find a territory, or perhaps even a clan.

muse b: Nabi / male / 3 years old [37 moons]
