I don't currently have any pets. I used to be very close to my cat Rose and the family cat Flower (younger me had a thing for theme names) as well as my goat Midnight. I don't currently have a pet, but this stray jet-black cat has adopted us. We still are struggling to name her.

Better than that. We had a small farm. Several goats, bunch of chickens, and at it's height two cats as well. We started out with two females called Charlotte and Bit o' Honey (or Honey for short). Me and my sister have a very large tendency to keep the original names of animals we get from somewhere else. Thus they were never changed. The daughters of Charlotte were both females so one went to me and one went to my sister (breeding of the goats happened fairly often. They were milk goats so we always got the females to families that intended to use them as such. The males, I've always been sad about because I'm just that person, and we named them, were not always so lucky. I was so mad at my father once for giving a male I'd named Jay's Wing (Warriors I still reference) to a family that ate him. ) My goat was jet black so Midnight (I'm also unoriginal) and my sister started out black with two white spots so Daisy (black later faded into dark brown when she became an adult). We also had close to 30 chickens at our most. We usually named all of them as well (laying hens + one rooster. If it wasn't obvious by now me and my family don't eat the pets (and are practically vegetarian anyway)) but we never really individually owned one. Well, my sister did a couple of times, but the dogs always got the white hens and we couldn't deal with that. The goats we made the mistake of raising as lap goats. We were always out with them and it was really fun. We bottle fed them as well, though I don't directly remember the reason because I don't think Charlotte had died at that time (both Charlotte and Honey died for unknown reasons). Either way, we used to pick them up and carry them around everywhere. Little me pleaded to sleep in the barn a couple of times too, I think. When they got older and too big to pick up then we got to see why having them so used to being in our laps might not be such a good idea. XD When we were moving cross-country we ended up getting leases for them because we couldn't have them in the trailer all that time. So at rest stops we'd get out and walk them around and random strangers would come up to use and ask, "That is the weirdest dog ..." (We had a breed of goat with very, very short ears. Not your classic movie goat. These were little tiny button things that you couldn't even really see. So they did look a bit like weird dogs if you ignore the hoofs). It happened when we got to the new place too. The neighbors all asked about the family who walked the weird dogs around their yard. When they all got the idea they started informing the newbies who didn't. It was hilarious to learn that one neighbor had to explain to another that no, they weren't long-legged canines. Our goats (all of them) also disproved the myth that (all) goats will eat anything. They were ridiculously picky. Some of the males were a bit evil and Daisy had a tendency to kick over the milking bucket. :/ Or just stick her leg in it. As for themed names I usually do nature or ironic references to book characters (often Warriors, because it fits under nature themed as well). The cat has several names and no names. Irony and Physiology are two. Physic was a shorting. Only half of the family likes those, even though Physiology was supposed to be the answer to our name search. We just got tired and pointed at a word in the dictionary. That was the result. So, no, we don't really have a name. XD

That had to still be hard.
Get one, they're great. XD
It is, it is! That's just par for the course in this family.
Don't worry about it! Happens to us all!

Yeah it was but I could understand why she did it. We don't live in a rural area so have cockerels crowing all the time would have got us in trouble with the council.
I really want one but we don't have the space :c When I've got enough money saved, I'm, moving to the country, maybe up north (Northern england is cheaper. Down here the the south, especially down here in London, it's sososo pricey right now. My parents where lucky the market was a little more reasonable back then but now it seems all kids my age are never gonna be able to move out from their parents place because of ridiculous house prices ugh) That was a random tangent... But yeah gonna move to the country and have a small farm maybe or perhaps just a couple horses and a goat or two.
Awe, I hope she gets an official name soon! My cat's just called Charlie. My mum wanted to call him Boris and I had to fight her. Can't stand that name xD Charlie suits him though, he's quite an uppity, snobbish old cat, bless him. He never looks impressed. He reminds me of Winston Churchill but a cat, idk why xD

XD Heh. Well, that never stopped some people around here.
Sounds like a plan! I want to move back to the mountains. I miss it.
So far we're probably sticking with Physic. My dad's just calling her 'Cat'. cx

Driving is really interesting. You sometimes get these small hills that make some treks like a rollar coaster. Depending on the area/weather you either get really lush trees or just rolling hills (often they aren't green where I am. They're just dried grass they graze cows on). Go in one direction and they're twisting roads along mountain-sides that are completely empty. You can see as far as the next rise. Get a bit of trees some areas and there are these scattered areas of forests. Mostly pines and everything is made for the heat. Then there's the other direction where you get National Parks. Then it's a mix of trees, including Giant Red Woods. Really lush and lots of rivers.

;o; Dang your art is really nice! I especially love the March portraits (the horned girls <3) because they're all so varied and it's interesting to see how you challenged yourself with various hairstyles. c:

mintedstar/fur🦇 That sounds amazing tbh. I bet it would be so fun to trek horses aroynd the mountains :0 I'd love to visit or even live somewhere like that one day, you're so lucky you got that experience! I'm just stuck in suburbia in my small house on a busy road that you can hear all night. Where I go to the stables is my small bit of countryside haven. Moonstep Thank you so much! Yeah I'm still trying to teach myself digital art tbh, I have no idea what I'm doing half the time, I just sort of mess around with it until I think it looks alright haha Give me a few more years and I might might be as good as you and your cats c,: My avatar is from disney's Fantasia 2000 Firebird suite! One of my all time favourites. If you like art/animation and beautiful music you should check out both the films It's very cute.

I've seen horses out there! Pretty common, actually. Ick. I've been stuck on that busy road before. Not fun. But that was a long time ago. I honestly have to say that some of my favorite houses have included no neighbors or ones I have to walk a house-length before I reach. I'll have to check it out!

There's only been one time that I've liked my neighbors. Other than that, give me a house where you have to walk to get to them.
