(I'm here struggling to finish the Honey started I literally feel asleep working on last night cause I was getting dangerously close to 48 hours without sleep if anyone wants me to respond to one of their starters?) (I've got Carter's done if you want to rely to him)

(Okay I have it narrowed down to Chase (M) - sweet jokester that likes to cook, has a twin but I'll probably make up an excuse about where Arlo is instead of bringing him in Mia (F) - good girl perfect student that I'd like to have get corrupted, Sophia's cousin Jordan (F) - adventurous daredevil that's still recovering from the death of her best friend/cousin and trying to complete a list of dares Wyatt (M) - my cowboy/horse riding dude that just moved here Frankie (F) - troublemaker, tomboy, likes to have fun, possibly teen mom? (I have two versions of her)
Who do you guys think I should bring in?)

[ i apologise if this is a lil' rough ; v ; i'll get eden's up soon-ish, so if anyone wants to interact with him (or nanu, who's starter is below), feel free to ; v ; ]
Nanu Amariit's too early to be awake (AM) planning on skipping classes Sleep did not come easily to Nanu. She found herself listening to the sounds of the old apartment, listening to the shouting of her neighbours of the murmurs coming from the television. Sometimes, she'd hear her father wander around - and she'd wonder why won't he sleep? Logically, she knew the answer. She often wished she didn't. His restlessness made her anxious, made her wonder if danger was imminent - but she also knew that it was unlikely the case, as his soothing voice would trickle through her bedroom door, and he'd be speaking a language that she didn't understand and damn, that was cool. Then, sleep would find itself as morning came closer, and she would undoubtedly wake on the wrong side of the bed, her own alarm as well as her father's chirping at her.
This morning was not a particularly fantastic one. A couple of hours of sleep wasn't enough to keep her going, so she would no doubt find herself napping in classes, if she went. That was debatable. She wandered from her bedroom (the only one in the apartment), and she glanced around. No sign of the father, until she wandered closer to find his futon shoved in the corner, his back against the wall. As she tried to figure out if he was actually asleep or not, a single eye cracked open and flicked to her, and a lazy smile spread over his face. Despite her low mood, she found herself smiling and she wandered closer, sitting cross-legged on the floor next to his bed. From underneath the mess of his blankets, a slender hand reached out and ruffled her already bed-messy hair, fingers catching on curls. Little white scars almost shimmered in the light, and she watched them with mild fascination.
"Good morning, spawn of mine." his voice was thick with sleep, but his words came through clearly. The Arabic was always a welcome thing to hear, a sign that today was a good day. The days he spoke French were the worst, laced with tension and absence, his lack of presence a notable one as the nights drove on. But today was a good day, and she would treat it as such.
"Morning, dastardly father," she grinned and stood up again. "Fūl?"
"For you, yes. For me, no," he stretched his arms above his head and groaned lowly, before he shoved his own covers away and stood up, wandering into the kitchen. This is a good day, she thought with a smile, following her father into the kitchen. The fathership is making me breakfast.
Maybe she was in trouble. Her eyes narrowed thoughtfully - but breakfast passed as a fairly normal affair. While her father didn't eat, he made her fūl and that was a taste of home that she was glad of. Already, her bad day had become a good day - and it had only taken the kindness of her dad.
Getting dressed, maybe, was not as fun. Dark skinny jeans with such deep tears she wondered why her father didn't throw them out, a tank top loose, barely covering her sides. The raised eyebrow from her father made her grin.
"Hello, dadther," she rocked back on her heels, one of her toes poking out of her socks. "May I borrow your boyfriend jacket?"
"Let me think." an eyebrow raised. "No. Wear your own jacket, Nanu."
Her eyes rolled upwards but she did as she was told, taking her own bomber jacket with its multitude of patches (while staring longingly at the oversized jacket from her father's boyfriend), and shrugging it on. No zipping it up, we die like men, she thought, grabbing her keys, phone, and wallet. After a moment's paused, she grabbed one of her dad's lighters and a half-empty packet of cigarettes, too.
"I owe you!" she called over her shoulder, and heard the momentary hey-- before it was cut off, the door slammed. And then a moment of regret as she realised her bag was in her bedroom, and so she had to walk back in with her head lowered as she hurried to grab it. Once the shoulder bag was acquired, she made her second great escape. This time, he didn't protest her taking the cigarettes. Score, she thought, and began the jog to school. An easy jog, made easier by her lack of rushing. She was chill as could be, cool as a cucumber, as the kids said. Or something like that.
If she were being honest, Nanu didn't like school. For one; the English. Hers was heavily accented, imperfect. It never felt like enough, but she could make up for it by being a mysterious bada**. She liked the sound of that, had liked the sound of it since she'd transferred. And then, of course, she'd decided that she was sick of the school, and she ditched classes. So far, no calls to her father - but she felt like that was probably going to change. While her dad was definitely a patient man (she swore he was an angel), he did know how to make her feel like the world was ending. Disappointment from him was like a shot to the gut, though he probably had more experience with that than she did. Maybe she felt a little bad about encouraging rumours of her father being a criminal but - hey. It worked to make her look scarier, so she wasn't against using a potential image. Besides - people often mistook her height for indicating her father's height. Entirely wrong. So many misconceptions that she loved, and all of them sat in with her delinquent image.
Image, maybe, was not the word. But nonetheless, everything seemed to work out.
Except for her suffering grades and her urge to smoke. Damn, she thought, as she entered the halls and walked to her locker, paying no mind to the people around her. I could do with a smoke.
She opened her locker, shoved some of the homework she didn't need into it...and then her books. Yeah, she could skip class. That would be fine. It was just one smoke, and she'd go to the class after. She didn't even remember where her classes were! She had a timetable...somewhere, and had a map...equally somewhere. If she was caught, then she could just play the innocent card. Easy as hell. In an absent motion, she slammed her locker and took a step back, continuing to ignore the world around her. She'd found out that many people often just moved for her, and she wasn't going to stop them from doing that.

( I like Frankie (I like the idea of exploring teen pregnancy...is that weird of me???) and Mia and Jordan ) (those are my top three choices here. i don't think that's weird I think Frankie would be fun and really want to use her because of the whole parent aspect. I think the only thing keeping me from choosing her is that I'm a little unsure because I've never used a teen parent character and don't wanna mess it up. Jordan is one of my favorites but I use her like everywhere. Mia is one of my old favorites that I haven't used in a while, but I really like seeing the change in her character going from a good girl to being corrupted and changing. That also always sparks conflict between her and Sophia. So I have it down to those three but I'm unsure...)

Honey Belle Lockwood // starter i guess
It was the first day of school, and Honey hadn’t gotten a wink of sleep. Well- maybe a little. The junior had been up till one, first texting her friends about classes and plans for the week, then chatting with her cousins as she drove them to the airport. Her summer had been pretty dull, she spent time with friends, gone to some parties, and had her two cousins over from Colorado- but nothing really entertained her. She had began hoping that school would at least refresh her schedule- but now she couldn't help but feel a twinge of fear as to how the day would go.
Her alarm went of at 4:30, which was strangely usual for her. Honey practically rolled out from underneath the covers, tossing on the workout clothes she had pulled out before she fell asleep. Most of her friends thought she was crazy, going for a jog at five in the morning, but the junior couldn't help but disagree. It was so peaceful with nobody around. She could take her time, breathe the cool air, and think about all the ways someone would try to kidnap her along the way. Okay- maybe she was a little bit crazy, but her early morning runs helped her feel dangerous. Like she knew that a bazillion bad things could happen, but decided to tempt fate nonetheless.
Unfortunately, her run was as dull as her summer. The only interesting event was when she kicked a rock and startled an alley cat near her local gym. She hoped it wasn't a bad omen.
When she got back home the hands of the grandfather clock in her den read 5:43 am and she groaned as she crawled her way up the stairs and into the shower. She perhaps spoiled herself a little, taking twenty minutes instead of her usual ten- and by the time she finished blow-drying her golden hair she could her her mother stirring in the next room over. The junior let out a long sigh, disappointed that she wouldn't be able to finish her morning routine without her mother's watchful eyes.
Retreating back into her room, she dug through her closet, searching for the outfit she'd picked out for the day. It took her a few moments to remember she'd put it out on her dresser the night before: a pastel pink top spotted with tiny flowers, a pure white shirt cutting off at her mid thighs, pink sandals, and a golden chain necklace with a single pearl on it. Throwing it on, she sulked back to the bathroom, taking a few minutes to toss her hair up into a lazy bun. When it looked decent she opened her drawer, pulling out makeup for the first time since the party she attended late July.
Properly pretty, Honey made her way across the hall to her sisters' room making sure that the two were starting to wake up. Rose was sitting on her phone on the upper bunk, but Eva was still sleeping soundly. Shaking the fifth grader gently, she was met with a pillow thrown at her face and a large groan- leaving her wondering what she did to deserve having to deal with a moody child. She heard Rose giggle from above, and saw her brown hair go flying as she slipped down the ladder to talk. "You look nice today," Rose began, a half-smile crawling up her face. "Do you think mom'll let me stay home if I tell her Eva gave me a headache?" The younger girl's question was met with another groan from Eva.
Honey let out a soft laugh, as she walked out of the room. "Probably not," she admitted jokingly. "I'll have breakfast on the table in ten, though. First come first serve." She finished making the scrambled eggs and microwave sausage in more like seven minutes, but by the time she began serving, both her sisters were up and walking around like a pair of zombies. She sat and talked with them, sipping a cup of black coffee she'd made with her spare time, a little saddened by the existence of a time limit.
Too soon her mom descended from the second floor, her blond locks tied back and uniform on. Her brown eyes met with Honey's and the junior saw her mother's lips purse. "You better get going Honey," she said, her voice laced with fake concern. "You wouldn't want to be late on the first day of school- what a terrible impression that would make." She gave the junior that look. The look that told her that there would be consequences for staying even a second longer.
Honey smiled at her sisters, sticking her tongue out at Eva as she grabbed her backpack and car keys. "Bye mom!" she called half-heartedly over her shoulder before closing the door behind her.
The ride to school was fairly uneventful, and the junior was surprised to find a close spot in the parking lot. Sighing she crawled out of her new car (her parents had bought it as a birthday gift since she now had a year of experience driving and they could trust her to not crash it immediately. ) wincing at the small dent on the passenger door that had appeared after a day of shopping at the local mall with her cousins. The junior had gotten an earfull because of that dent, and her parent almost took away her ride had it not been for her being completely powerless in the incident.
She briskly crossed the lot, pulling up her schedule on her phone to double-check her classes. Once in the building, her eyes darted back and forth- searching for one of her friends. It would be embarrassing to spend the morning almost completely alone. Of course, her inattentiveness to where she was actually walking was probably not a good idea, and she heard herself cursing as she walked into the person in front of her.
"Oh-! I'm sorry, I wasn't looking and- are you okay- I'm so sorry and I-" her voice trailed off as she actually looked at the person in front of her. He looked like a underclassman- which was at least something to be thankful for. But something about the boy was also intimidating. He had a black eye, and what seemed like a dangerous aura around him. "Are you okay?" she finally managed to keep her tone steady, and she almost ran a hand through her hair before realizing she had it pulled up.
(. sorry for the delay but here you go.)
