Yes! And there should also be a city in the distance that keeps to themselves and doesn’t know much about creatures and that’s where some creatures go to hide out ^^ what do you think?

Yes! Maybe this faraway city is only for humans and the supernatural has bee outlawed since they are considered dangerous?

Yes!! I love that idea! ^^ We should come up with city names.
Dove Garden? Lol Galen Town Galen Mills (I like this one) Galen City Galenburg (I was mainly looking for names that meant quiet/peaceful for the far away town)

Valdis it is! What else do you think we need to establish?

Probably some individual creature guidelines (basic ones: don’t turn someone (there would be separate creature ways of turning someone. Ex. Biting someone will change someone into a zombie, vampire and a werewolf but being a goblin or a witch biting would do nothing xD) etc.
Also a map and a RP name along with continuing deciding on the rest of the city names

For the city within the grasps of Valdis, but not as dark-hearted: Cahya (pronounced Kya). There should be four cities within the limits of the "State" of the leader and Galen Mills is the farther city. I can try my best to create the map; I have some artistic skills lol A darker named city should hold Valdis' headquarters and be the most central city in the state.
Let's see. We have Galen Mills. We have Cahya. How about a city named Hayden (or Haiden) something close to Hades, God of the Underworld? lol A city named Maura (meaning one who is dark; darkness). And maybe each city can produce something for the state. Example Maura can produce crops or cotton (other clothing exports) for the state's fabric demand, etc.
What do you think? Want to come up with the other city's name?

If we are going to name a city after the god of the underworld, I think there should be an extensive underground system beneath the city. Maybe rumored to hold the souls of those who did not make it out.
Just checking but is Valdis a city or person?

oooooh that sounds cool!! I'm making the map now! lol I'll have to add that system in. Honestly it's kind of sloppy at the moment. I'm thinking that the map with Galen Mills wouldn't be as completed as the other cities because not much is known about that city except for the humans...
Valdis can be a city and a person and that person lives in his own city. He's the leader of the State.

I’m thinking Valdis should contain all the fighters and all of the academic learning places so Valdis can control that. Galen Mills can be the farming place, for both crops and fishing. For our fabric city, we should name it Arona or Cera, which both means colorful. I imagine it is a really colorful place with tons of cloth stalls and robes. Not sure about the others. I can’t think of anything else.

Perhaps the place that I have the most water controls the power to the entire State using hydroelectric power. The other city can make weapons and precious gems/metals for the State.

I’m back for a short while. I hope you’re not too stressed with the drawings. This does seem like a lot to draw. A water works sounds good. It could be popular with the water related supernaturals. Do you want each city to have a set/type of supernatural that is popular in the city?
I just had an idea for your character. What if she saw something she wasn’t suppose to have seen, so werewolves are sent after her to kill. However, she escapes with only scratches and a couple of bites. I kinda want to make werewolves a common mercenary/assassin group since they would have super senses and super strength.

Here's what I have so far: Key: The large black lines are the boundaries between the cities. The white lines are the roads. The small black lines are the underground pathways. The red triangles are the citizen's homes. The golden diamonds are Valdis' Elite's homes. The yellow diamonds are the city's epicenters (each city has it's own capitals). The land on the right side that has nothing there is the last city we have to decide on. The top right is Galen Mills; not much is known about where their citizen's live and such.

Wow. That is good. I like how it is so simple yet tells a lot.
What cities have we definitely decided on? I know we agreed to add the hades one, Valdis, and Garen Mills. What is the other one on the map?

The other one is currently blank, but I'm considering making that blank space into the farmland of the State.

Sounds good. We have a bunch of cities. We can have the nearby cities send people out into the fields. For Galen Mills, it can be both a farming city as well as a mining? Since it is out in the mountains?

Yes and they can send fhings to the State Capital but know little about them. Basically the agreement is you send us stuff, we’ll leave you alone.

How does this look for a start?
Valdis - No one is quite sure who or what this is man really is. Rumors say the man created the very city he has named after himself. Of course, that can't be real. The city has stood at the center of the state for hundreds, maybe thousands of years. He does not look old or decrepit. The city stands strongly with a wall surrounding its body and solders marching through its streets. The city is also home to all the academia.
Haiden - A once thriving city now only home to the lowest. Their once brilliant stone structures are now crumbling. Many people are forced to patch their homes together with dirt. Haiden use to be the center for precious minerals and gems. However, Galen Mills produces more than the city with its strategic location near the mountains. In desperation, Haiden's officials told the people to dig under the city. Many died and little was gained. Souls are told to be wandering the tunnels. These rumors spread and no one dared to step foot under the city. Now the city scrambles to put together enough funds to please Valdis.
Cahya - These city lies directly south to Valdis and is home to the metal workers. They receive all of the mining shipments to create whatever is on demand. All of the best swords and armor is created and shipped out here. There are a small number of farmers and hunters here.
Arona - Also dubbed the colorful city or the city of rivers. The city uses the rivers flowing through it to power mills, weaving, and light throughout the city. They make all the raw goods into consumables. Many use these rivers to transport goods from one mill to the next, or down into Cahya. The light is transferred to most of the state; the hidden Galen Mills being the exception. The city members are very wealthy usually and adorn themselves in colorful clothes and shiny gems. Arona prides itself for being the best and thus, has a rivalry with Cahya.
Galen Mills - No one is quite sure where this city actually is. Many are convinced it is hidden beyond the mountains. If Valdis knows where this city lay, he doesn't tell. The only thing the public knows is Galen Mills delivers crops and precious materials. However, many are convinced that this is a safe haven from Valdis' oppressive rule, even if the city is against all supernatural.

Should we move the information/this thread to the planning page section? By we, I mean, should I ask a mod?

You could do that. Basically you just report the first post and just ask the mods to move it. It shouldn’t take long.

It has been moved.
What time period do you think this would be set at? Because I just realized I had said the metal workers created swords and they were still using water for energy. I would like to try for a more modern time.
