okay this one isn't a serious suggestion but this would happen with York..."Yes. This is my pet bear and his name is Charles. Now, apologize to Charles."

The Vault The Herman Vault is located in North Carlolina, the entrance built into the side of a mountain. The vault itself is seven levels and located completely underground to protect the citizens from dangerous radiation. The first floor is solely for the guards and security of the citizens. Located on their floor are the guards' office, the armory, the shooting range, and a few jail cells. Level 1 is restricted to guards and their Apprentices only and is patrolled at all hours of the day. Level 2 is a very recreation based level of the vault. This is where most citizens spend their time when not at work or school. One side of the level has a restaurant, staffed by cooks and students to work as waiters. On the other side is an arcade, mainly popular with the youth of the vault. In the middle is a wide open space used for a variety of different things. Any parties or vault wide meetings are held there. An occasional sports game is played. Normally it's filled with tables and chairs for people to mingle and eat at. The kids sometimes get a game of soccer or football going. Level 3's main attraction is the cafeteria. Staffed by cooks, the cafeteria is open for all three meals a day, and the majority of citizens eat there. It isn't required, but there's not much to cook with in the living quarters. It's set up much like a high school cafeteria with lines of tables and the food served at the kitchen's windows. Also housed on this level are the vault's four stores and the clinic, which also serves as the living quarters for the doctor. Level 4 holds the living quarters and the school and daycare. This is where the vault ends for most residents. Levels 5 and 6 are both agricultural. Level 5 holds the plants and Level 6 is for livestock. Level 7 is the lowest level of the vault and is extremely restricted. Only the scientists, their Apprentices, and the council are allowed down there because that's where the labs are kept. Jobs Council (Limit 1 per Level) -- The council is made up of seven members, one from each level. They handpick their apprentices from all of the professions available. The council is responsible for making all final decisions, rules, and punishments. Their word is law.
Council Apprentices (Limit 1 per Level) --Council apprentices are usually older than normal apprentices and have begun work. They train under their council member and usually remain an apprentice until their council member dies or retires.
Guards Captain (Limit 1) -- The guards captain is a council member and longtime guard. They give the orders for the guards and singlehandedly train all guards apprentices.
Guards -- The guards are the only vault members with training on how to use a weapon. They are responsible for security and enforcing rules. They have the power to arrest vault members, though the council is responsible for any harsher punishments.
Doctor (Limit 1) -- The doctor is responsible for healing any sickness or injury that occurs in the vault. They work closely with scientists and have their living quarters connected to the clinic so they're available all hours of the night. Also responsible for body disposal.
Engineers (Limit 3) -- Engineers are some of the most important members of the vault. Their job is to keep all of the important parts of the vault running. They keep the generator going, the air purifier, the water purifier, the door locks... Along with smaller repairs around the vault, they keep vault life possible.
Scientists -- Scientists work down in the labs on Level 7. Here they use pre explosion knowledge and technology as they come up with ways to improve life for the vault members. They work closely with farmers and doctors and engineers. They are the only ones (besides the council) with access to Level 7.
Cooks -- Cooks work in the cafeteria and take in ingredients from Levels 5 and 6. They are responsible for cooking three meals a day for the vault members.
Teachers -- Teachers are responsible for educating the youth of the vault. One teacher generally works with 1-2 grade levels and is available before and after class to help with homework and self study.
Shopkeepers (Limit 1 per store) -- Shopkeepers own one of the stores in the vault. They generally run a store by themselves, but may have their children or students help if time allows.
Childcare -- Childcare workers spend their days in the daycare working with children aged 0-5. Here they teach them the basics necessary for school, along with language, manners, and behavior.
Farmers (Agriculture) -- Agricultural farmers work on Level 5 and are responsible for planting and harvesting plants for the vault members. They also have a representative down in the labs to work on the best ways to genetically engineer their plants to provide food faster and more abundant than before.
Farmers ( Livestock) -- Livestock farmers work on Level 6. Here they raise livestock to be slaughtered for food to feed the vault members. They are also in charge of animal safety and health.
Apprentices -- Apprentices start work at the age of 16. In their last year of school, they took a test that placed them in a certain career. Apprentices shadow their mentors for a few years before fully entering the workforce at age 19/20. Apprentices are also responsible for studying materials provided by their mentor in their free time.
Students -- Students are aged 6-15. They attend school in a one room schoolhouse like setting next to the daycare. Each grade has one hour a day of school and are given homework and self studying materials to fill the rest of their day. 15 year olds start in the morning and each hour is one grade younger. Students may get jobs at stores or the restaurant or the arcade but their schoolwork is expected to come first.
Children -- Children are any youth under the age of 5. They spend most of their time in the daycare section of the vault and are prepared for school. Rooms Living Quarters

Rules Literacy This is an advanced role play. That means I expect a minimum of three to four substantial paragraphs per post. I also expect correct grammar. I don't mind typos or imperfect grammar, but they shouldn't be happened every other word.
Activity Activity isn't the biggest rule, but it's still pretty important. I'm busy and know you can't be on 24/7, so I'm just gonna set the rule at a few times a week.
Characters Characters cannot be perfect. That's the main rule when it comes to characters. Perfect is boring. We want realistic, flawed human like characters here. I want genders to stay somewhat even so keep that in mind when making them.
Spamming This one should be pretty simple. I don't see this being a big problem, just don't spam the thread. Chatting is ecnouraged as long as people are still getting replies up.
Respect I want this to be fun for everyone involved. I need you to be respectful to one another, as well as me. No bullying will be tolerated at all. You must also respect and follow the forum rules. I don't want this deleted or anyone banned. So, try to keep stuff at a PG or PG-13 level.
Forum Rules don't want this deleted. Everyone should be familiar with forums rules, so just plan on following them and we won't have any issues. I trust you guys to use your own common sense for this one.
Have Fun I want this to be fun for everyone involved. It should be enjoyable and relaxed. I have no problem with chatting, but I do want to make sure we keep getting role play posts in too. But it really is important to me that everyone enjoys themselves Joining Name • Age • Gender • Job Description or Faceclaim Personality Other
