when their parents are killed in a random attack, muse a is filled with many emotions; sorrow, rage, a need for revenge. but when it happens, they are young - a mere child staring up at adults with cutlasses and ferocious grins, eyes like monsters and a thirst for blood. as a child, they cannot stand up to such a powerful force...and so, they don't. instead, they begin to dream about the day they can join the navy, the day they can hunt down those pirates and make them pay for what they've done.
but life does not go as planned and revenge is a cruel thing. on a stormy night, the navy ship begins to toss and turn, and finally, it hits a series of rocks; they're sharp and jagged and they splinter and break the wood, causing people to fall, causing people to die as they, themselves, fall onto these rocks. muse a, however, is lucky enough to survive; tired and in pain, they was up on shore with no-one around, and they realise that they're on a deserted island. it's...terrifying. why wouldn't it be? they're still early into their navy career, they aren't equipped to deal with this.
perhaps it is luck, or perhaps it is fate when an interesting ship appears - seemingly from nowhere. muse a signals for help, and the ship seems to see...but as they get closer, muse a realises that this is more likely to be pirates than just a simple merchant ship with the name on the side and the flag flying above, not of a country but a warning flag.
muse b is the captain of this ship. they brought it back to life after the original crew died mysteriously a few years ago. armed with a small but loyal crew and an equally small but speedy ship, they want to take on the world, bring back the glory and the fear that spreads over towns when the ship docks. so far, they're just laughed at by other crews. they want to rectify that.
they're comfortable with this area - they know how dangerous it is, they know the timings of each storm that passes, know the locations of the visible rocks as well as the hidden rocks. muse b is so familiar that they know how to force a ship into here, and more importantly, they know how to kill using the ocean to their advantage. they weren't, however, counting on someone to actually survive; so the call for help interests them, and they decide to help.
now aboard a pirate ship, muse a isn't quite sure how to feel. this ship may have the same name as the one that destroyed their family, but the crew are different, too young, too small. they can't deny the help, either; the island is so small that they can tell there's no food, and so the rescue is appreciated nonetheless. this is how they find themselves (reluctantly) joining a pirate crew on their adventures. perhaps they'll continue on their search for revenge, or perhaps they'll settle into the pirate life. maybe even both. who knows?
a tale of intrigue and mystery is ahead of them, and for all they know, it could be fun.
muse preference: b, but this is flexible! just talk to me
as you can see, this is a plot of pirates and adventure - it can hold fantasy elements (such as mystical treasures and creatures such as the kraken and sirens and mermaids, etc); overall, it's very open-ended, and it relies heavily on character choices.
i'd class myself as semi-advanced, with a few paragraphs per response; i tend to mirror, just so you know!
i'm trying to find my muse again, and i think this would be a good thing ;v; i'm super into pirate plots and so...well, i just thought it would be interesting!
i'd like the age range to be mid-twenties and above, though i won't mind if you go a little under mid-twenties? i'm not too strict, as long as you're not roleplaying a child! that wouldn't fit the scene very well ^^''
ah, i'm okay with including romance if you really want, as long as the characters are compatible.
