[Smoke Ribwood-18-Male]
Look: Smoke is a tall, lanky, thin boy with curly jet black hair sweeped to the side to create a very flattering look. It sometimes looks a little weird on his head, but Smoke tries to hide it. He loves his hair. He has an almost pale skincolor with a few cinnamon freckles under his ocean blue eyes. He has a shaved face, though his whiskers are so dark that you almost think that they're a beard. He has a small, golden leather watch that he wears on one arm. He doesn't really use it to look at the time, he just wants to look cool.
Personality: Smoke is a bad boy type of boy. He always goes a little over board with the girls, though he never liked any of them. To be truthful, he's never really liked a girl that much, that's why he pretends to so he'll be cool with the other boys. He's always ready for adventure and fun. When he's at home he's usually stuck up in his room, reading a book about monsters and legends, and also romantic fairy tales about some prince saving a princess. His favorite is about this one girl stuck in a tower with super long hair (Rapunzel). He doesn't have a very good temper though, and that's not good if he wants a girl. If something goes wrong he tends to yell and lock himself up in his room, and this often happens. He is in despreate need of fun, and hopes he'll get it.
Hopefully this is good with the plot!

Name: Raiyen Starkov Age: Eighteen Appearance: A lithe, 5β6 slender pale-skinned girl with long, loosely curly orange-red hair with bangs that fall into quartz colored eyes framed by long, dark eyelashes. Freckles splatter her nose and the tops of her cheekbones, and her pale pink lips usually form a hard, concentrated line. Personality: Guarded and quiet, sheβs usually very thoughtful and precise. Unlike others who love killing beasts and demons almost like sport, Raiyen is a collected and silent hunter. She earns no joy from being a hunter, but feels relief in knowing there will be less chaos and death from her kills. Only those close to Raiyen knows she can be a bit shy and is a dreamer. She is fiercely protective of those she cares for, and will do anything for them. Many consider Raiyen a mystery, but if one gets to know her, they find she is as clear to read as the constellations. Skills: Quite talented in sneaking and tracking, her weapon of choice is the crossbow and throwing knives. Aside from monster slaying, Raiyen is talented in painting nature.

Smoke seems really cool!! Though his clothes are questionable, since I thought we were setting this in a fantasy setting in Russia?π€ Like with villages and stuff? And heβs supposed to have ember eyes and antlers as a result of his half-demon heritage, and since heβs lived in isolation since he was a child, I donβt know if heβd really see many other people his own age? But if you donβt want to change his personality, we can switch and I can be Muse A and you Muse B if youβd like ^^

Songbirds twittered in the highest branches of the trees and cool sunlight shone done dimly from the treeβs dappled leaves as a red haired, freckled girl made her way through the undergrowth dressed in a tunic, scarf, and high furred boots like her companions with a crossbow held loosely in her small, pale hands. βJerick, are you sure you saw a Blood Drainer around here?β Raiyen asked her older brother with a doubtful frown, glancing over at him as he picked his way through a patch of brambles with the other member of their small hunting group right behind him. Jerick scoffed. βWhy would I lie about a Blood Drainer? No one has seen one in almost a century. Itβs best to kill it before it drains all the game in the area or wanders too close to the villageβ he inquired, stepping around a vine of thorns. βGods, no wonder no one ever travels to this part of the mountain. Thereβs too many damn thorns and brambles that can entrap someone for eternity.β Raiyen sighed while their other companion, an oat named Thero, snickered in amusement. Perhaps the reason no one came here was because demons like Blood Drainers were around. She said nothing and continued following behind her brother and Thero secretly hoping there was no Blood Drainer and they could just head home to a warm house and a warm meal, where she could retreat to her room to paint or do as she pleased. They hadnβt really ventured to this side of the mountain before, and the dark and deepness of the woods sent shivers down her spine.

Yeah! That idea sounds good! Can my character be a male? the dragons and stuff? awesome! and yes, as long as you're okay with me playing a guy also. i have a dragon-shifter noble/prince...type...dude named yishrai that i've been wanting to do some stuff with. i'm fine if you'd wanna pursue some sort of romance thing. if not that's okay. (but if the reason you're opposed to romance is because you're uncomfortable with a same-gender pairing, i might be a little uncomfy roleplaying with you anyway, lol. but if you just want a plot that deals less with romance and more with the fantasy/adventure aspects i understand that)

(I love it! ^^)
In a quiet shop near a raging river, was a boy. An eighteen year old boy with nothing else to do in life then read and do his uncle's, Smith as he called him's, bidding. The boy named Smoke sat in his shafty room, looking out of his circular, stained glass window, looking at the outside world. He wished so badly he could be there, talking with friends like normal kids. But instead he was shut up in his dull, dusty room. Smith put him there. Smith thought he'd be too scary for the other kids, and also he was afraid he'd scare the customers to his shop so they wouldn't come back. Whenever Smoke tried to leave his boring room, Smith shooed him right back in, like a 4 year old. Now you may be thinking, why does Smith shoo him away? What's so scary about Smoke? Well, Smoke is really, half-human half-greater demon. He has huge, dark brown antlers and fiery, ember eyes that burn like fire. One look at him and you'll run away screaming. It's true, really. Just then, Smoke heard Smith's raspy old voice calling from outside his door. He heard his thin, spindly fingers gently knock, almost like the soft chime of a bell. "Come out here Smoke! I need you for something!" Mr. Smith yelled, coughing for a long while after. Smoke didn't turn from his window. The one window in his giant room. It was so important to him, the only signs of adventure and fun were outside, in the mist and wind. "Coming." Smoke sighed, slowly picking himself up and turning around. Smoke didn't feel like going out. He wanted to stay inside and keep watching the outside. Smoke gripped the doorknob and opened the door to reveal a smiling Smith, his gross crooked teeth showing. Almost all the old man's teeth were black, and his body was really just a skeleton with one, thing layer of skin on top. A red nightcap was plopped on the old man's head, covering his ugly baldness. "I want you to go outside carefully and feed the chickens. You must not let anyone see you. And I mean anyone." Smith said with an almost funny serious look on his wrinkly face. He had an old, dirty bag of chicken feed in one hand. A swarm of flies was flying around it, diving in to eat the feed. Smoke grimaced at the sight. But Smoke completely forgot the disgusting bag when Smith said he could go outside. Outside? Really? This couldn't be happening. Smith never let him outside. Why this time? "Outside? You're letting me go o-outside?" Smoke stammered, not knowing what to say or feel. He was astonished. Not once did he ever think that this would happen. It was almost too good to be true. Mr Smith grabbed a small cloak from beside him. It was a rusty brown color and it looked staddered and broken. "You'll put this on to cover your antlers and face. If they find you out, they'll probably kill you." He said, handing Smoke the cloak to put on. Smoke took the cloak and peered at it in his hands. It felt warm and soft. Smoke slipped it on, perfect fit! It covered up his antlers, but he looked very strange. Smith smiled and gave a thumbs up.
"Good! You're ready to go!" He sang, giving smoke the bag of chicken feed. Smoke then made his merry way down stairs, a smile almost forming on his young lips. He skipped out of the shop, named Smith's Antiques, and into the wilderness. He breathed in the new sights, all the new things over taking him. He stared at all the trees and forest, it was truly amazing. More amazing then he could have imagined. Then he caught a glimspe of something running in the woods. No, someONE. He squinted to try to get a better glimpse of the figure. It was pale and and beautiful orange curls. Then he realized something, this was a GIRl. A real girl! Smoke took in a sharp breath and his hear stopped beating for a moment. A normal human. Right there. And a girl of all genders! This was the jackpot for sure. Smoke felt like jumping in the air with joy as he ran over to the girl, too overcome with excitement that he dropped the chicken feed.
(Just so you know, the girl is supposed to be Raiyen.)

Itβs great! ^^
βHurry up, Rai! Or youβll be left behind!βl Jerick called over his shoulder as he and Thero dove deeper into the wilderness. Raiyen scowled softly to herself and picked up the pace. With how loud Thero was stomping through the woods, every demon and creature out there would be fully aware of their presence. Why did Thero have to tag along anyways? He was thick-headed and the only thing he was good for was his great upper body strength that sometimes came in handy in fights. Raiyen preferred when she and her brother hunted alone together. They made a great team, what with her good defense and Jerickβs head on attacks. Thero only made things more difficult by third-wheeling.
As she silently grumbled to herself, Raiyen had been distracted as her two companions disappeared ahead of her as she passed the raging river. She frowned and paused, glancing around for her older brother. Great, heβs went on ahead. Maybe heβll find the stupid demon so we can hurry and get back to the village before dusk. She thought, knowing night time was the active time for creatures and beasts of darkness. Just as she was thinking this and about to continue on her trek after Jerick, she heard a crash through the wood coming behind her.
Crossbow already in hand, Raiyen swiftly drew up her weapon and pointed its tip at the stranger behind her, her fiery curls moving softly in the light breeze. Upin seeing a cloaked figure, she frowned in confusion, though secretly reminded herself that Greater demons could take on the disguise of humans. Besides, sometimes humans were monsters too. βWho are you?β she demanded quietly, her quartz gaze narrowed and her pink lips drawn into a hard line.

Smoke stopped right at the tip of her bow and arrow, his eyes widened in fear. He realized that in his excitement, his stupid excitement, he forgot to be careful. Now he could be in great trouble. What have I done? I might be killed if she finds out who I am.
Smoke put up his hands, his ocean blue eyes not leaving the glistening bow and arrow. He took a few steps back, and tripped on the old bag of chicken feed that he'd dropped. His head clunked against the ground first, the worst way to fall. "Ouch..." Smoke whispered, rubbing his head and grimacing at the pain. I am so darn stupid! So much for good first impressions... Smoke then looked at the fierce girl again, her long curls almost hiding her whole face. Her face seemed to be drawn into one hard, blank line with no expression whatsoever. She gripped the bow tightly as if she knew what she was doing. He had to be careful with this one. But she was so pretty, more pretty then he could ever imagine. She was the prettiest girl he'd ever seen. His mouth fell open a little as he stared at her quiet beauty, taking her all in. He then ran a hand flatteringly through his hair ans stood up. "I'm Smoke Ribwood, but you can call me Smoke if you want." He said, being very flattering. He couldn't take his eyes off this wonderful girl. She was beautiful. He forgot the bow, ready to shoot whenever the girl wanted. He was infatuated with her. It was love at first sight.

The hunter watched as the figure skidded to a halt, alarm and clear in their posture and what she could see of their face hidden beneath the cloak hood. It could be a trick. A demon acting like a human, trying to appear harmless and innocent until her back was turned. Raiyen didnβt budge as she watched the newcomer stumble and trip, whacking their head. She only moved slightly to point her crossbow at them again. Strange to see one so . . . clumsy.
She frowned slightly in confusion, then stepped back and aimed at the newcomer as he stood up with a newfound swagger and introduced himself. βWhat I want, is for you to tell me what youβre doing here. What do you want from me?β she replied, lowering her crossbow a few inches, perplexed with the whole situation. She blew an orange curl out of her face and raised an eyebrow when she noted the way he was looking at her. Her cheeks became tinted with a light shade of pink, but she tightened her grip on her crossbow and remained motionless, waiting for an answer.
If she didnβt leave soon, she may not find her brother until much later. It would very difficult for her to catch up with him now. And truth be told, if he found the Blood Drainer, she didnβt think Thero would make for a very good team. She chewed her lower lip slightly, trying not to worry too much for Jerick. He was a great fighter. Heβd been through thick and thin. He would be alright.

The love crazed man stopped to think about the girl's words. They were sensible, very sensible indeed. He would probably act the same if he wasn't practically in love with her. She was picture perfect. He noticed that her ghostly white cheeks turned a light shade of red. He stopped for a second. Is she blushing? Smoke thought, a small smirk appearing on his lips. Maybe he could win her over, somehow. He hoped she already liked him, but there were little signs of that. Smoke pulled the cloak he was wearing down a little further, she couldn't figure him out. That was the hard part if he was to win her over. She couldn't see the real him. She would probably scream and run away like everyone else. This was hopeless. But he could still try. "Um..." Smoke stammered, trying to think of a good answer, "I just wanted to uh, meet you. I saw a figure over in the woods and I um..." He started to blush a little, "I wanted to meet you, yeah. And I don't want anything from you. Maybe I could come with you wherever you're going, you know, not for long but maybe we could have a friendly chat?" He smiled, hoping he didn't sound too weird. He didn't want to just straight out tell her that he loved her. He didn't want to tell her anytime soon unless he knew she had the same feelings for him. And that would probably never happen unless he was insanely lucky. No one could love the REAL him. The real him was gross and disgusting. He could never show that part of him to this maiden.

Noticing the small smirk that appeared on his lips, Raiyen stiffened and pointed her crossbow at him a little tighter. This Smoke, or whoever he really was, was trying to conceal himself. Even if he was harmless, he had a funny way of showing it. She listened to his explanation of his presence, and she blinked, her brow furrowing in puzzlement. Was he . . . telling the truth? She scrutinized him, pursing her lips in concentration. She had seen men look at her and other women the way he was looking at her right now. And while his gaze wasnβt the hunger she had seen many times in menβs eyes, she knew a look of longing and interest when she saw one.
Feeling slightly awkward and startled, she finally decided that if this man was a threat, he would have attacked her already. Demons werenβt the most patient things, and this man didnβt look all that menacing. She cleared her throat and slid her crossbow into its sheath on her back, wiping her sweaty palms on the thighs of her leather pants. βUm, while Iβm flattered by your . . . enthusiasm, Iβm very busy at the moment and am completing a dangerous task. β Raiyen managed to say, trying to get over the strangeness of the situation. She brushed a curl away from her face. βI canβt have someone tagging along when thereβs a possibly of them getting hurt, or worse, killed.β She added, giving him a long, thoughtful glance.
If she werenβt busy, would she have allowed herself to sit and talk to this stranger? She didnβt know. This was a very strange, and slightly awkward situation for her. Raiyen wasnβt too great with these kinds of things. Calculated and thoughtful as she was, she was also sort of awkward around other people. Especially when it came to others around her own age, which this stranger appeared to be with what little of him she could see.

Smoke rolled his eyes and sighed, feeling annoyed. Did she not think He could keep up with her? Did she think he'd fall behind. Oh come on! He was a man! And this was his chance for adventure! His one chance to get the thing he wanted the most. She WASN'T getting in his way.
Smoke put his hands on his hips and tilted his head to show his annoyance. He bent his knee a little and his cloak slid up his face more, almost showing his eyes before he awkwardly shoved it down again. He hoped she wouldn't notice his constantly pulling of the cloak, it wasn't good for a first impression. He was going with this girl whether she liked it or not.
"Oh come on!" Smoke complained, his mouth opening in irritation. "You don't think I can keep up do you?" Smoke dug his boot into the earth, creating little piles of dirt around them. He bit his lip, making it turn a bright red shade. Even if this girl said no, he would follow her. There was no way he was just going to go back. That wasn't an option. He didn't want to go back to his boring old life where he'd have to be stuck up in his musty room, reading some fairytale from long ago. He wanted to have adventure for once. Just this once. It couldn't hurt could it? Plus, he'd have this hot girl with him. What better could he ask for?

Raiyenβs quartz eyes widened slightly in surprise at his reaction to her answer. He was almost acting childlike. And he appeared to be no older than she, according to his voice and what little she could see of his face. She frowned at his posture and defiance, confused with why this was happening to her and why this stranger was so determined. He had no idea who she was, what she was doing. What was it to him?
βIβm afraid youβre not understanding me. I said my task was dangerous, didnβt I? It has nothing to do with whether you can keep up or not. Your enthusiasm suggests you could probably keep up, but I donβt want something to happen to you.β she said quietly, glancing towards the dark trees ahead. βI am a hunter of beasts and demons and other creatures of the night. If you came along, something might happen to you, and I couldnβt bear an innocent dying on my hands.β Raiyen straightened her posture, her gaze firm and narrowed, yet soft as well. In a way, she understood. She understood the lust for adventure and consequences. Yet she couldnβt allow a stranger, anyone, to die because of her.
She turned away from him, her fiery tendrils of hair flowing softly behind her in the cool breeze. βIβm sorry, but I need to catch up with my brother. Perhaps if you become a demon hunter, you can join one day.β she quirked a small smile and reached out and flicked his nose, then turned and hurried into the underbrush to try to catch up with Jerick and Thero.

Smoke smirked to himself as the girl ran away, her large orange curls flopping behind her. She was a feisty one, the kind of girl he liked. She was cute and played hard to get. She'd be fun to be friends with if I got to know her even more, and maybe she'd even accept me too. He didn't care that she ran off, he'd follow her anyway even if she'd hate him for the rest of her life. I mean, it couldn;t be THAT dangerous could it?
Smoke started to carefully make his way behind her, careful not to let her know he was there. He crouched down behind some bushes and started a little waddle-run after the girl. Smoke was determinded to know what this 'dangerous' thing was that she talked about. But he mostly wanted to know her better, you know, maybe become friends and a little more.
As he made his way behind her, the underbrush became thicker and thicker and it became harder to hide behind bushes. Smoke stopped and sighed. He'd have to get on his hands and knees if he wanted to move forwards. He quietly crawled onto his hands and knees, grimacing as the sharp edge of a stick pricked his hand, causing it to bleed a little. He shrugged it off and crawled away, trying to catch up to the girl.
After a while, he was finally there, and there was room for him to stand up. Smoke didn't stand up all the way, put he peered over the bushes, trying to get a glimspe of where she was. Where the girl was.

After leaving the stranger behind, or so she thought, Raiyen hurried through the dense wood with quiet, light feet. Jerick and Thero couldn't be too far ahead . . . Jerick had said that the Blood Drainer was supposedly lurking around the jagged cliff of the mountain. She chewed her lower lip as she kept going at a steady pace. Besides, Jerick would be looking for her or waiting when he noticed her absence. Still, strange he hadn't turned back to find her already . . .
"He better not have ditched me." she muttered to herself, trying to tap down the feeling of unease rising in her chest. She took a deep breath and quickened her pace, drawing her crossbow and keeping it tight in her grip in case she came across any trouble or in case a beast decided to try to jump her. After about twenty minutes of silently moving through the wilderness, Raiyen came to a halt beside a patch of trees that lead out towards the jagged cliff of the mountain. She smelled . . . blood. The strong, iron tang of it hung fresh in the air. Heart beginning to race, Raiyen's grip tensed around her bow as she slowly began to move forward, crouching to stay hidden as she moved through the trees and weeds to the clearing of the cliff.
Finally, she took a deep breath and jumped out of the cover of the brush, crossbow aimed and pointed into the center of the clearing. What she saw there made her freeze, made her blood turn ice cold. Thero lay on the ground, blood spilling from an ugly gash in his throat. His eyes were open and staring blankly at the orange tinted sky. Jerick crouched a few feet away, his sword drawn out in front of him fiercely as he faced what Raiyen knew was the Blood Drainer demon. The demon was tall, covered in grey mottled scales and had wicked looking claws growing from its forehead and fingers. Two large, protruding fangs were bared and glistening. Jerick was bleeding from cuts all along his cheeks and arms, and sweating from exhaustion.
"Jerick!" Raiyen cried, starting forward. Then in that moment, when she had called his name, Jerick's gaze flickered to her, his expression loosening into relief. "Rai . . ." he managed to grin, and in that moment of distraction came a horrifying guilt Raiyen would never forget until death. In that moment of distraction, the Blood Drainer lunged forward and sank it's large fangs into her brother's neck. Jerick gave a choked cry and fell to his knees, clawing at the demon's face, but it was too late. Raiyen sent a sharp, iron arrow into the demon's hide, but it was too late. When the wretched monster drew back with a scream of pain, Jerick laid still and pale, no longer of this world. Raiyen screamed in pain and rage and shot another arrow into the demon.

Smoke's heart stopped beating for a moment as he saw the demon. It's horns were stained with dark blood, and he could smell it. The iron tang of it filled the air, and it nauseated him a little. He coughed into his hood, he couldn't smell anything else other then the sharp scent of blood. But one thing surprised him more then anything. One thing scared him more then seeing the dead bodies and the demon. That one thing made him terrified. The creatures eyes resembled his. The hunger ember flames flickered in the beast's eyes just like his, but these were hungry for blood. Hungry for life. Smoke fell on his knees and he touched his face. His hands slid up to his fiery eyes. They looked JUST like the demon's! Just like them! "How could this be?" Smoke whispered to himself. His thought proccess slowed as he tried to figure this all out. This whole giant mess that he had gotten himself into. Who is this girl? The whole thing got him thinking. How had all this happened? WHY did this happen? How did this start? Was what he was thinking in his mind at that moment. But he had to get back to his senses. He had to do SOMETHING. He couldn't let the girl die. He just couldn't. The beast would probably find him too if the beast killed her anyway.
Smoke looked all around him, his mind still light-headed from the shock of it all. He jsut still couldn't believe it. Smoke noticed that one of the dead bodies that was next to him (Thero) had a weapon. He quickly reached out to grab the weapon but ended up falling out of his cover, and right onto the dead man. Smoke grimaced and brought himself up, wiping off his clothes and gripping the weapon that he'd picked up strongly.
Sweat dripped from his hands and his grip loosened on the crossbow he had. How could he do this? He had never even held a weapon in his life? What could he do? Smoke wearily aimed the crossbow at the creature and shot at it's giant face. The arrow skimed right past its face, just enough to get the creature's attension. The demon made a low growl and turned it's huge face to Smoke, smoldering hot drool dripping from it's hideous jaws. It charged toward Smoke, leaving pools of hot fire behind it.

Just as Raiyen was beginning to think she wouldn't make it through this, she saw a flash of a dark cloak as the boy from earlier ran and retrieved the fallen Thero's weapon. Stunned, she stumbled back. Had he followed her? Why was he here? Just as her mind was whirring with all that had just happened in a mere minute, her attention snapped back and focused as she saw an arrow fired past the demon.
Seeing it lunging towards the boy, Raiyen shot an arrow into its flank and shot over, retrieving her throwing knives from her belt and sending them sailing through the air at the demon. She wasn't a close range attacker. She fought from a distance. It had been Jerick who was the close range attacker. A few of her knives sank through the ugly beast's back and it reared back with a roar of rage. Raiyen snapped her head towards Smoke, panting heavily with wide eyes. "You need to get out of here! I'll distract it while you run!" she said quickly, heaving up her crossbow and sending more arrows flying towards the creature. If she didn't kill it soon, she would run out of arrows and be doomed.
She swallowed and glanced at Smoke, her gaze searching him. Her eyes widened. The hood of his cloak had fallen off, revealing bright ember eyes and small antlers on the top of his unruly head. Signs of a demon, but . . . he looked human too. How could this be possible? Suddenly, she felt a claw slash through her shirt and dig into her shoulder. She cried out as she was thrown a few feet away by the demon, now looming over her, her soon to be death reflecting in its depths.
