{ - - in recent years, it has come to the attention of the leagues in each region as to how high the mortality rate in battles has become; especially within the professional scene of battling. laws began to pass on street fights, on a need for a trainer's license to be able to battle, and the age restriction was bumped up from ten years old to eighteen years old, with at least four years of pokemon trainer school under their belt. those caught battling without licenses are punished according to their age. of course, this doesn't stop children from battling on the streets, nor does it stop illegal battling rings. however, after the laws were passed, mortality rates lowered and as such, league battling became popular once again.
{ - - option one: instead of normal pokemon, hybrids known as gijinka battle. a human trainer can have up to six gijinka on their team, though backups may be on call if needed. gijinka fight using various martial arts, depending on their species and typing. many of them can harness their powers in later life, but they require a trainer to synchronise with if they wish to evolve. in this plot, muse a is a trainer who's finally graduated trainer school, and they're assigned a partner - muse b. unfortunately, muse b isn't too happy with this situation, as they were expecting a trainer who actually knew how to battle. muse a struggles to learn about the realities of gijinka battling + learning how to be the strategist of the team, all while trying to get through the league. various other plot details including action (regarding possible villains), the region, and more should be discussed. i would rather muse b, in this scenario. each of us would have multiple characters.
{ - - option two: muse a is an underground battler; someone who fights dirty, who doesn't hesitate to kill, and as such, is not perceived as a good person. both they and their pokemon are merciless, stuck in the kill or be killed mindset. they meet muse b, who is a fair league battler, someone who doesn't see point in useless violence; they haven't killed a pokemon, by accident or otherwise, due to their careful nature. they do not agree with muse a's views for obvious reasons, and they take it upon themselves to teach muse a and their team how to battle fairly without risking their own lives. however, muse b does not admit that they've lost many pokemon through their methods. various other plot details including action (regarding possible villains), the region, and more should be discussed. i would rather play muse a. we do not need multiple characters; it's your own personal choice.
{ - - about me: as you can see, my name is cross. i'm very into pokemon nuzlockes, and i find them more interesting to roleplay than the average pokemon roleplays; it adds an element of suspense, gives plenty of plot opportunities regarding foreshadowing deaths, and it tends to be darker and grittier. i read a lot of nuzlocke comics and as such, it's usually safe to assume i've read a nuzlocke comic (alterity is one of my favourites, fyi). anyways. i live in europe but my sleep schedule is bad and as such i'm usually on whenever i'm awake. i do not reply constantly, please keep this in mind. i could give you multiple replies one day, and none the next. you only need to worry if i haven't replied for seven days, because i've likely forgotten by then. i'm spotty in activity and i do apologise, and i appreciate patience. if you're patient with me, i'll be patient with you.
i'd class myself as semi-advanced to advanced, but for the most part, i try to mirror replies. if i'm low on muse, i can dip to as low as 200 words! but if i'm feeling it + i'm given material to work with, then i can give a good 700 and above. i do try my best, and i find it more fun to work with people who give me as much material to work with as they can.
naturally, i don't like mary-sues, or people who control my characters, etc, etc. other than that, i'm really not picky. i don't mind if you don't reply constantly (because i don't either), and i enjoy chatting between roleplay posts, too. that's about it, really! i just really, really wanna roleplay a pokemon nuzlocke. orz
