Wolffury blinked in surprise. "Oh uh s-sure." He agreed. He really didn't think his leader noticed. He was a good fighter yes but Wolffury didn't see himself as exceptional or someone who stood out. Not like Mooncliff or Tornshade.

"Thank you Wolffury. I think it's best when apprentices learn from the clan as a whole while they also remain close to a singular mentor. After all, we're all eachother has, and the clan needs to be close if we are to survive here like our ancestors have." Soaringstar gave a nod of appreciation, before he turned and called.
"Owlpaw? Can you come over here?"

Mooncliff dragged the bird back to the patrol. "This'll be a good addition to the prey pile and nests." he looked over what Plummetsky and Burnstone had collected. "This should be enough for now. Let's head back, it's getting colder." Batecho sighed at his enthusiasm. "Now, always remember, Canyonpaw, the caves are dark and you wont be able to see most of the time. So what do you have to rely on?"

Plummetsky gave a nod of agreement, scowling as the cold leaffall winds whipped past the valleylands. Snow was already beginning to dust around from nighttime flurries, and she knew the kits and queens were never suited for the brutal leafbares. She moved to follow the deputy.
Canyonpaw gave a quick response, mind focused solely on his training. "Our ears, nose and our whiskers, when it comes to making our way around and feeling for danger." He answered.

Owlpaw lifted her head when she heard Soaringstar's call. She pushed Thunderpaw away before scampering over. Thunderpaw scowled as he watched. Owlpaw was lucky.
Owlpaw paused infront of her mentor. "Yes?" She asked. Wolffury nodded, watching.

(gtg to Class, bbl)
Mooncliff eased the bird on to his back so that he wasn't dragging it through the snow. Balancing it carefully, he led the way down the valley.
Batecho nodded. "It's very easy to get lost in the caves, before we begin. I want you to lead me through the caves to the topside of camp."

Soaringstar looked down at Owlpaw as he replied. "We're going to do some battle training. Wolffury will join us for some demonstrations that will be helpful to you in understanding certain moves." He waved his tail, signaling for the warrior and his apprentice to follow him outside the camp cavern.
Plummetsky followed easily, noticing that Burnstone had already pulled the bedding material into camp, and she gave a snort. Leave it to that crabby young warrior to return to camp as fast as he could.
Canyonpaw gave a nod, brimming at the challenge. Though, there were a few caverns that still disoriented him, he had known enough to hopefully lead her back decently. He chuckled. "This way!"

Owlpaw nodded. "Ok!" She said excitedly. She turned to hurry after her mentor. Wolffury followed a little slower.

Soaringstar padded out of the cavern, enjoying the cool winds of the winds flowing down into the mountain valley. He took a deep breath and mewed. "It'll be getting colder this next moon, but it's the best time to get you used to the coldest weather, Owlpaw. We won't stay out here too long." He padded down towards one of the clear areas, the grass dusted with soft snow and patches of yellow-green grass.

Owlpaw shivered at the wind blowing. She was still young so her pelt wasn't thick like a full ground cats yet. "It's cold already." She complained softly. Wolffury chuckled before meowing. "You'll get used to it." He spoke.

(I'll try to reply on my phone)
Mooncliff blinked spotting the young warrior already in camp. He trotted up to him. "I understand your eagerness to get back to camp, Burnstone, but you should always stay with your patrol, you never know what could happen in these mountains. Your patrol may need you."
Batecho got up and followed.

"Hopefully the valley slopes will reduce the wind. For now, I think we can start with a new kind of move. This involves leaping on your opponent's back and pushing off of them to knock them down. You're at a good size for this kind of move, especially with the large enemies around here." Soaringstar explained, looking at the young apprentice.
Burnstone looked at his deputy, both annoyed yet slightly guilty at the scolding. The cold had bothered him, but he certainly knew it wasn't the best idea to go back to camp alone. He sighed. "Sorry, Mooncliff. It won't happen again."
Canyonpaw scouted his way forwards, his eyes barely useable in the dark, though his tail and whiskers certainly helped as he navigated through the tunnels he knew very well.

Mooncliff nodded in accepting of the warriors apology. "Let's get this bedding to the dens. Plummetsky, would you take that to Hookjaw?"
Batecho followed her apprentice, knowing exactly where they were.

Plummetsky lifted the bedding with sharp eyes training on Burnstone, before she dutifully approached the elder's den with some of the fresh material.
Canyonpaw made a few more turns, before he finally reached one of the forking caverns that always annoyed him. He stopped for a moment, thinking deeply, before he finally decided on thankfully the right path, hiding his flush of panic at his slight confusion.
Soaringstar nodded. "Alright. To start this move, you want to leap onto your opponent's back. Make sure you have a good grip on their shoulders." He nodded to Wolffury, inviting the tom to demonstrate leaping onto the leader's broad back.

Hookjaw was sleeping outside of the elder's den where the ground dipped into a makeshift nest. He could always be found here when the little dip wasn't full of water.
Batecho paid close attention to her apprentice as they went. Listening to his every move and contemplating his focus.
Mooncliff carried his bird over to the fresh kill pile. He felt a little relief seeing that there was more prey than yesterday.

Stormfall said nothing but grinned, quickening his pace to keep up with the black and silver warrior. He hasn't had this type of outing for a while, maybe even before he got an apprentice. Don't get the cat wrong, he adores his apprentice its just he hasn't had time to be just him for a while now.

(Go right ahead, Vixen!)
Plummetsky padded towards Hookjaw, placing down the bedding and mewing respectfully, not wanting to wake the tom suddenly. "We've got fresh bedding for you here, Hookjaw. Where can I set it up for you?"
Canyonpaw traveled with confidence, until he got to the last few caverns and stopped at the hardest one, a three path cavern hollow that branched off into three separate tunnel lines. He swallowed, trying to think about which one was the best route. He hesitated with embarrassment.

Wolffury nodded before crouching. "Careful Soaringstar. I might crush you." He teased lightly before moving to jump on the leaders back. He was no small cat.
Silvermask raced towards the forest, she wanted to beat Stormfall. She hurried down the path, careful of any large rocks.

Cat Name: Harepounce
Rank: Warrior
Description (Physical and Personality):Harepounce is a thin, wiry, tom-cat with a light brown pelt and darker markings. With small paws and big ears, he lacks the long fur most CavernClan cats posses, which is understandable, considering he has a kittypet background. He often acts lighthearted and breezey, with a somewhat sarcastic attitude. He occasionally likes to tease other cats, and hates fighting. Due to his light build, he can be quite a good hunter.
History: Born as kittypet, Harepounce hated being cooped up inside a twoleg den, and heard great tales of CavernClan told by his mother. When he was a bit older, but not quite as old as an apprentice, he decided to leave twolegplace and find CavernClan. He succeeded in escaping the twoleg den by squeezing through a slightly opened window, and left to find find the clan. The journey took him awhile, but he eventually found CavernClan, and joined with the name of Harepaw.
Other: none
Screen Name: Vixenclaw
Codeword: Cave Dweller

"I think I can manage." Soaringstar joked right back, bracing his large paws on the ground as he stood under the weight of his warrior. The leader glanced at Owlpaw and gritted out. "Now that he's on my back, he needs to push off me before I can flip him over and roll on him. You simply push your strength into your legs, crouch and bounce off."
He nodded for Wolffury to finish the move.

Soaringstar felt his legs tremble as he stumbled under the jump of the other large tom. He crouched to recover himself, before turning to Owlpaw. "Just like that. Even if you don't force your opponent down, you still cause damage to their back and disorient them as they try to stand back in a normal stance. Thank you, Wolffury." He purred to his clanmate.

"Your leader won't get too angry if you strain his shoulder." Soaringstar smirked, giving Wolffurry a gentle nudge and nodding to his apprentice. "As you grow, you'll get larger and the move will be useful in deterring foxes and badgers. Would you care to try, Owlpaw?"

"Remember where your destination is, Canyonpaw, that will determine which way you go." Batecho mewed calmly.
