(You don't have to. I didn't read your previous comment stating you were working on your other ghoul. Two ghouls is fine! Unless you'd like to make another character, two is great!)

Yvonne rested her chin in her hands, idly tapping at her lower lip with a pointed nail. She was located in one of the abandoned buildings the Fire Opals had taken refuge in, alone on her private floor. The wind howled from a busted window, tousling up her hair as it trailed into the empty room. She gave a small sigh of content, staring at the sky as the sun began to set. It had been a few weeks since their last planned attack against the CCG and she was beginning to grow restless. Was it time to make the plans for another one? She wasn't too sure. Everything had to be mapped out perfectly if she wanted things to run smoothly. After all, there was no room for error.
Error meant failure, and Yvonne wasn't tolerant towards that idea.
She pushed herself up from her position, stretching out her back as she did so. A small smile flitted its way onto her face as she glanced once more outside. Night was falling and that only meant one thing: ghouls.
Humming to herself, Yvonne began to maneuver out of the room in search for the main members of the group. It was time for another movement towards their cause. Not an attack this time, no. But the collection of new members. After all, what was a group without its members?
--
Glancing up at the sky, Alexzandre gave a small noise of approval. "The sky is beautiful tonight." He murmured to himself, earning a few curious stares from random passerby who were rushing home. Taking the cigarette from his lips and stubbing it against the side of the CCG's main HQ, he slipped his hands into his pockets after tossing it behind him. He knew his superiors, and insubordinates, weren't too pleased whenever he arrived with a lit "cancer stick" between his fingers. He rarely listened, but today he decided to be civil for once.
Sending a grin and a nod of approval towards the guards stationed at the doors, he slipped inside the glass doors. Alexzandre didn't need to show any sort of identification to enter anymore, he was quite well-known in the Investigator world.
Upon entering, he shot a smirk and a little wink at Ellen, the new receptionist at the front desk. She giggled in response and turned away, blushing. He always made it his goal to get on the good graces of the new insubordinates at the CCG. He never knew when they'd be handy but it never hurt to take any sort of precautions.
Stepping past the giggling receptionist, Alexzandre made his way to the elevators and pressed the Up button. He usually came to HQ later in the day, ghouls always made their moves in the dark.

Donovan was taking careful steps up the Fire Opals' building's stairwell, heading up to find Yvonne. He'd heard about a possible raid of ghouls in the 11th ward, and many of the members in their group had decided to visit there tonight. He'd told them he'd have to speak with their leader, of course. After all, he wasn't their leader. Just a second in command. Sometimes, he wondered if they'd gotten the least intelligent members to join their cause. Though, a few were fine, and Donovan could walk with them when needed. Such as taking a breather outside in the snow. But, sadly, a lot of their members were bloodthirsty and stuck on revenge. Not that Donovan was much different. He was just more quiet with his inner fantasies of tearing the CCG apart, piece by piece. He entered the private floor of his leader. He didn't like to come up here, as no one in their team were allowed up here besides Yvonne, and him at times. He usually didn't come up there, though, as he hated breaking her private space. He went up to the room he knew Yvonne was inside and was about to knock along the side of the wall to get her attention when he noticed Yvonne herself heading towards him. He nodded a greeting at her appearance. "Hello, Yvonne," He murmured, "Some of the members of our group have dubbed it upon themselves to discuss visiting a ghoul raid tonight in the 11th ward. I told them I'd ask you about it."
--
"Excuse me! Hey! Coming through!" A collection of cries followed a woman in a suit running through the CCG building and towards the elevators. It just so happened to be Oakley Skye, an assistant in the CCG building who was also very late to a meeting. If they were even still having the meeting... She was probably so late they'd canceled it or moved on. "Hey! Hold that!" She shouted, her brown hair flowing behind her as she was about to cross the threshold of the elevator. She noticed a man standing in it, smoking a cigarette, and she reached her hand out to hold the door. Unfortunately, she missed the elevator doors entirely and found herself falling into the floor of the elevator with a groan. The doors closed behind her. "Ack..." She whimpered, getting to her feet. "Why am I so clumsy..." She looked up to see CCG Investigator Alexzandre there and nearly cried out in shock, "A-ah! M-Mr. Walker! So sorry..." She muttered, rubbing the back of her neck, "I didn't see you there..."

The door to the cafe dinged, a slightly-below-average heightened man walking through the doors. He was wearing a dark blue jacket, the hood pulled over his head as he blinked in the speckled lights of the building and breathed in the sweet aroma of coffee. He sighed, taking a seat at a table. He loved coming here. It was always his safe place, away from the other ghouls around the other wards. Here, he could be peaceful and safe. He lowered his hood, his bright golden hair reflecting the dappled sun rays, and looked over at the menu. What would he get today? "Um, miss?" He asked, standing to his feet and walking over to the counter. He noticed a woman standing there, a book in her hand and coffee in the other. Was she on the clock? If not, he didn't want to waste her time. "Sorry, I was just wanting to get something..." He'd been here plenty of times, but he'd never seen her here. Maybe she was just off on the days he'd come before.

Yvonne's gaze flitted over to Donovan's form as he approached her, pleased to see her second in command. He had been more than helpful during the years they had spent amongst one another, she didn't know how far they would've gotten without him. Sometimes, he was her voice of reason and helped her work out any issues she came across when carrying out her plans. He was the only one she trusted, really. There were a few other members of the Fire Opal that received her mutual respect, but Donovan was treated far more fairly than the rest. He deserved it after all they had been through together.
A small hum of approval escaped her lips as he spoke, pleased with his statement. "They want to take part in another raid, do they?" She mused. Their members were quite the eager ones, always seeking another fight. She didn't blame them, she was also itching to release her pent up energy. But she was their leader, she had to make the right decisions and not go with her gut. "I suppose it's been a while since we've done anything.." Yvonne trailed off in thought, looking off to the side as her mind raced.
Gathering members wasn't really their top priority, they could afford going through another raid. And maybe the bloodshed would attract a few nearby Ghouls; hopefully some of them were willing to join their cause. Therefore, she would be killing to birds with one stone and in the end, everything would work out in their favor.
"Could you take me to them, please?" She questioned, refraining from bouncing on the balls of her feet at the idea of causing more mischief. "I'd like to hear their plan with more detail. Unless this was just a spur of the moment thing and they only thought of the idea?" She frowned at that, almost displeased at the idea of her members not thinking anything through. If they wanted to be a part of the Fire Opals, then they should act accordingly.
--
Alexzandre raised a brow at the young assistant below him, finding the entire scene quite amusing and surprising all at once. "It's quite alright, Miss Skye. Even the best of us have our bad days, it's what makes us human." He assured her with a wink and a grin, leaning against the wall of the elevator.
"Which number?" He questioned after a moment's pause, allowing to catch her breath after sprinting towards the elevators with such vigor. Alexzandre gestured towards the array of buttons that were located on the wall in front of him, a smile staying on his face. He had already pressed the number eight, the specific button was brightly lit up. He was on his way to pester a co-worker into telling him any juicy details of any ongoing missions. Of course, it would prove difficult, seeing as his friend was a stoic character. But it never hurt to try. After that, he could go fill out some old paperwork while waiting for another ghoul raid, or something similar to one, to show up.
He was itching for something to do, it had been far too long since he had gone out on the field. Four days and three hours, to be exact. But who was counting? Certainly not Alexzandre, that would be preposterous.

"I'm just saying, it's been such a long time. A raid would be good for all of us."
Kihyun wasn't really participating in the discussion, though he couldn't say that he didn't agree with the fact that it's been much too long since he got a taste of blood. Sure, he still went hunting every once in a while, but lord knows it's been so long since he'd tasted the blood of a dove. Sometimes he goes by Anteiku in the dead of the night, peek inside to see everything closed and shut, not to come to life until morning. And he knows that Taeyong is in there somewhere, sleeping in the back because they have nowhere else to go, residing here because they think that being around other ghouls will keep them safe. Because Taeyong had always believed that ghouls and humans can coexist, despite all the evidence that stated otherwise.
He'd only joined the Fire Opals because of Taeyong. Because his little brother (or sister, he supposed) wasn't safe. Because Kihyun knows that the doves are a constant threat to Taeyong and it frustrates him that his dongsaeng doesn't understand that. It frustrates him that Taeyong didn't come with him, that Taeyong actively resisted the idea of joining the Fire Opals and tried to hold Kihyun back.
I'm doing this for their own good. They'll understand. They had to understand.
---
Taeyong wasn't on the clock today. It was one of his few days off and he was relishing in the time he had. Earlier in the day, he'd gone out and met up with a few friends from university, went to lunch with them, excused himself after eating to purge himself of the foul substances. Over the years, in order to better fit in with the humans, he'd learned how to vomit on command. It was a useful skill, when you were a ghoul.
He'd returned to the back of Anteiku, to the room that had been designated to him, and had been there for an hour or two at this point, doing homework, listening to music and taking a brief nap. It was still light outside and the shop must still be open, but experience told Taeyong that there wouldn't be too many customers at this hour. So he felt it was safe to head down and pour himself a cup of coffee, take a break from studying.
Lily was the only one working this shift. Taeyong rather liked her, she was nice. A bit of a bookworm but who was he to judge? He saw that she was serving a customer, and upon further inspection, realized that he'd seen the guy here before. As he went to get his coffee running, Taeyong waved in the customer's general direction, "Hey Mikel! Nice to see you again." He'd only seen the guy in the café on a few shifts, but Taeyong always made it a point to know the regulars.

Lily turned as she heard a familiar voice, she watched as Taeyoung got his coffee. But she returned her gaze to costumer shortly after. She smiled softly, "Just let me know when you are ready to order." The girls voice was sweet and soft, very different from what it had been before she had been found. Mikel. So this guy was a regular? Lilith had never seen him before, but then again it was only recently that she had started working. The red haired girl turned smiling at Taeyoung before drinking some of her coffee. Her book was on the counter and there were a bunch of different colors all over the page from her highlighting and taking notes.
Of course her mind right now was focused on studying, she wanted to ace all of her tests and what not. She tried her best to fit in with the humans, after all she was half human. Lily had to at least try right? It was hard since she had spent the last couple years hunting and killing people, after all she hadn't been taught any better. Till now that was.
"No work today?" She asked he Co-worker as she leaned against the counter. She had been working all day basically. Since she got up, which kind you had been a tad late. Still it had been all day, for her.

Taeyong let out a small sigh, looking over his shoulder when Lily spoke and giving her a small smile. He brought his coffee over to the counter, placing his elbows on top of it as he took a sip, eyes wandering around the establishment. "Nah. I got the day off." As much as he loved his free days, Taeyong had to admit that he rather enjoyed working at Anteiku. Even if there were no customers, just watching the people pass by outside was enough to keep him distracted. He'd always liked people-watching.
"What about you?" He met her eyes briefly before turning his gaze to the book that she had left on the counter. It was all colorful from highlighting and Taeyong marveled at it for a few moments. "I mean, when did you start your shift? When do you get off?" He himself had never been good at taking notes from readings and he kind of hated the idea of marking up his books in any way. In his mind, marking up a book destroyed it. But that didn't keep him from admiring the color patterns that were drawn onto other peoples' books.
He gestured towards the book. "Is that for school?"

(hey. Sorry, been busy.) Donovan grunted in agreement, reaching his arm out to take Yvonne’s. After everything, he’d treat her with as much respect as needed. She was their leader after all. She’d gone through thick and then to get them through what they have, and to get them to where they are now. “I’m not really certain if they’d actually planned this out or not. Though, I’m sure we can improvise their plan and do something that provides our needs more, Yvonne. After all, a raid would be great, but gaining more members is in top priority, yes?” He hadn’t asked the other members their thoughts about this particular raid, only that they had heard about something going down in the 11th ward and their members were looking forward to getting in on the action there. However, the Fire Opals members really needed to research this more… Donovan couldn’t say that he didn’t miss the feeling of excitement from the mention of a possible raid, however. His skin buzzed with the idea. --- “Oh, er, I believe the meeting is on the…8th floor.” Oakley looked over at the buttons and noticed the number 8 already pressed, “So, you are going to 8 as well?” She smiled, if just a bit shyly. She hadn’t known many of the CCG members, especially someone as well known and in high rank as Alexzandre, only because she was fairly new and just an assistant. And being the assistant, she had to help her superiors’ paperwork and do more research on investigations. Which, she didn’t have a problem with. However, she hadn’t had the chance to actually get out on the field and actually do…something. Like fight a real ghoul, instead of just reading over so many fights and information on paperwork. Just wanting to encounter a real ghoul and, while not really liking the whole idea of being violent, interacting with something other than dead trees and office workers, it made her heart beat a bit faster. --- “Hey, Taeyong!” Mikel smiled, waving at the other worker at the café. He nodded to the woman—Lily, right?—and focused on the menu some more. The two worker’s conversation drifted over to Mikel, and he listened with interest as they discussed their shifts and school life. It made him feel a bit…happy. At least some ghouls got to experience a life, outside of, well, being a ghoul. Something he wasn’t able to do, unfortunately. He looked over at Lily, finally. “Um, do you mind if I just get a cappuccino? Vanilla flavoring, please, if you don’t mind.” He rubbed the back of his head, “Sorry about coming in so late, haha.”

Yvonne gratefully accepted his arm around hers, allowing her Second in Command to guide her over to where the Ghouls in question were waiting. She listened to him speak, feeling a rush of pride that swelled up inside her as he continued to discuss their plans even further. She was lucky, really, to find someone like him. To find someone who was as dedicated to their cause as she was. To be quite honest, Donovan was one of the few ghouls in the Fire Opals who kept her sane. And that could pose as quite a difficult feat.
"The raid isn't such a bad idea," she mused after he finished, her tone light and cheerful, as if they were talking about something normal, like the weather. "But, yes, you're quite correct. We need to increase our numbers, and more preferably, ones who have some sort of intelligence. I cannot deal with people who have rocks for brains much longer." She sighed in disdain, a frown gracing her features. "Perhaps the raid could attract some new members that I could persuade to join our cause." She added, twirling a strand of her hair around a pointed nail. "I just want to see what they have to say first. Knowing them, their plan would have so many flaws they hadn't thought through."
--
Alexzandre nodded in response, tucking his hands into the pockets of his dress pants as he leaned his head against the elevator wall. "Yes, I am. Andre's office is on that floor and I wish to pester him into giving me any details about any occurring cases." He shot her a sheepish grin, as if apologetic about his actions. "I'm quite bored and taking over someone else's mission sounds like a great way to start my night, y'know?"
He glanced over at her, a plan formulating in his mind. "Actually, if there is a case I can take over, I wouldn't mind having some assistance." He easily lied through his teeth, inwardly wincing at his own words. He despised working with others, but the female in front of him never experienced the part of the job that laid outside these doors. The adrenaline rush it gave was addicting and he wanted the other to feel it. In a way, he felt bad for her. If he was stuck doing paperwork all the time, he'd have gone mad. And it wasn't like she was going to do anything on the job, she could just watch. That way, he would still be working on his own and she could be gaining experience about the Investigator life. And if there was a weaker Ghoul she could take care of.. well, even better, right?

"Yeah, it's a pity." Taeyong smiled down at the book, his tone almost wistful. "Books were not meant to be written over. But good luck on your test tomorrow." He looked over at Mikel when the other placed his order and let out a small sigh. "I didn't do much. Just hung with some friends." Kihyun would definitely have looked down upon the idea of having human friends, scoffed at it and declared it impossible. Taeyong liked his friends, though. "I think there's still some coffee left in the machine from when I was just using it. You can make Mikel his cappuccino and I'll help you clean up."
---
There were, indeed, so many flaws in their raid plan. Partly because Kihyun's kind of an idiot.

"Thanks so much!" Mikel called to the two of them, grinning. He's was happy when he was around other ghouls like this, the calm ones. Especially at Anteiku. It felt like a home to him. He had considered joining them and working there, but he never acted upon it. It just wasn't...him. Working, that is. He'd worked before, no problem. But, working like this to him felt too mundane. Like, he should be a human because he goes to college and has a job. But, he's not. That's why he couldn't go back to school. And because he felt too guilty to get a job. It's why he was where he was now. Hardly broke (besides the occasional pickpocketing when he got hungry) and depressed.

They did not need to be reckless. And most of the members they had now were pretty reckless. Well, they always wanted to get in on some sort of action around the many wards. "They'll eventually kill themselves if they are too careless..." He mumbled, helping his leader down the steps and into the room where the others resided, "We must tell them not to be so reckless." (sorry for the short reply. just not really having any ideas on what to say, haha ^^; ) "Heh, that sounds like a good way to start a night, actually," Oakley laughed, then heard his next words, she gasped, "Wait...assistance? You mean...you'd like an assistant to travel with you tonight? That is, if you have one to go on?" She smiled, trying not to appear too eager. A real case? Could she do it? Of course, she'd be careful. She wasn't the violent type. Maybe that was why the director of the CCG hadn't put her out on a case yet. Would they let her go out...tonight? With him? She really hoped so. The excitement was practically itching in her skin, making her scratch at her arm in slight nervousness and eagerness. She needed it, to go out and actually DO something.

{{ your profile picture makes me want to cry ;; }}
"Mmh. I agree completely." She murmured as they finally reached the room and her gaze settled upon the members that took up the space. There were a fair number of them, yet not all of the Fire Opals were there. The stragglers were most likely out and about, trying to find some sort of prey. She had warned them that she couldn't protect them if the CCG came after them, but none heeded her words. Their problem, not hers. Her eyes flashed as her friendly persona around Donovan immediately switched and she took on the authoritative presence of a Leader. "Who here had the idea of the raid? Speak up, now." She called out, walking in front of the Ghouls clustered in the room. Yvonne took an authoritative stance, jutting out her chin as she looked at the members below her.
--
He shrugged, nodding his head. "I rarely take on someone to go with, so it'll be a surprise to those around us. Wouldn't mind the company, though." Alexzandre shot her another grin, the smile lifting up the corners of his lips. That was a lie, the company was minded. He despised having someone follow him around when he was out hunting. That was only because his persona immediately switched and he didn't listen to anyone's instructions or anyone's suggestions. He had no idea how the female in front of him would react, but he would find out wouldn't he? But he could feel her eagerness rolling off of her in waves and his heart went out for her as he bit back a chuckle. It reminded him of the time when he was new and fresh in the CCG world, always ready to go out into the world and fight.

Donovan stopped at the door to the room, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. He glared out into the small group, prompting someone to speak up. He wasn't sure who had originally came up with the plan themselves, but he'd heard a lot of others discussing it. So, who was the one behind the idea? He watched as Yvonne switched to being authoritative and demanding as a leader, a flip of her friendly and smiling side from only a moment ago. It was one of the reasons he liked her as a leader. She was happy and could be a friend, but she knew how to make a demand for attention. No one would disobey her, or if they did, consequences would unfold. All eyes were trained on her.
---
"Oh, well..." Oakley chuckled, scratching at her cheek in nervousness. The anxiety was starting to pool at the bottom of her stomach. Could she do it? Of course she could! She'd been dreaming of this forever! Though, she didn't want to get in his way if something came up. "I'd love to go with you, if you'd accept me," She smiled, "And, if something happens, I'll try my best to help! Though, I won't get in your way."

"Well?" She drawled, purposely extending on the word as she peered at the Ghouls gathered before her. As her gaze flitted from one pair of eyes to the next, she only detected fear and respect. That left her with a satisfied hum rumbling in her throat, as well as a feeling of annoyance.
No one uttered a word after a few terse moments and she sighed, rolling her eyes as she inwardly pouted.
Yvonne had been ecstatic with the idea of a raid and her hopes were being eradicated with each passing second. They really did need to attract smarter members, this was beginning to get out of hand. And one of the things she hated was not being in control. It left a sour taste in her mouth and unsettled her stomach. Maybe if she could make an example out of a Ghoul here, perhaps the others would finally come forward with the idea?
Satisfied with her plan, she grasped the chin of the Ghoul nearest from where she was standing. "You." She muttered, eyes glinting almost dangerously. Yvonne drew his head up to look at hers. "Any plans or are you wasting my time?"
--
"Of course." He nodded his head, moving away from the elevator wall as the device made a small noise to alert them of its arrival on the eighth floor. "Why don't you go see if your meeting is still in session and I'll go see if I can steal an Investigation? How about we meet up in..." He paused the conversation to check the watch strapped around his wrist. "How about we meet up in fifteen to twenty minutes, Miss Skye?" He questioned, stopping his movements to Andre's office. He idly tapped at the side of his leg with his index finger, eager to go. It wasn't as if he didn't enjoy her company, he just wanted to see if there was anything ready for him.
