We're just your average Fenton High students- Or rather, we hope to appear as such. Magic is a fantastical thing only found in works of fiction, we don't exactly want to make it known that it exists. Or that we're capable of it. So the strange phenomenon of how multiple magicky types somehow converged on the same town and entered the same school in the same century is somewhat ignored for the most part. It's not often that we have anything to do with each other if we can help it. Life proceeds as close to normal as we can get.
That is, until someone or something decides to start picking us off one by one and we're forced to band together for survival. (And friendship.)
<><><>
Ayo~ I'll be putting excess info here for now.
Important To Note: No one really has any structured magic- There are no Hogwarts-type schools that we know of and we kind of just have to make do with what we have. We're the only ones we know of with magic.

When Aris first entered the small, sleepy town that was to be his new home for however long his parents decided to keep him, he'd allowed for the smallest shred of hope that this time would be different. That fewer people meant fewer accidents and maybe he could finally break free of the mess he'd made of his life so far. After all, his latest foster parents actually seemed to like him, as bizarre as the notion was. And he would be able to navigate school- which he was actually going to attend this time, really!- with the brother he hadn't seen since they were children. So all in all, Aris was pretty optimistic about his prospects in Fenton Hill.
It took three months for him to realize how naïve he'd been.
Another fist is launched at his face, the force of the punch turning his head sharply to the right and causing stars to burst before his eyes- Pity they aren't the kind that threaten a KO. 'Can't you leave me alone for once?' Aris doesn't allow himself to wince, absorbing the hit and rocking back on his heels with a soft exhalation that is all he'll allow himself. His ears are ringing, his vision blurs and tinges scarlet, the scarred leather of his gloves creak as he curls his fingers into fists before relaxing them again. 'Stop that.'
Someone spits near his face. He faintly registers jeering and insults, one of the boys before him protesting that he just won't go down already and is he sleeping standing up?
Aris nearly bites his tongue when he's kneed in the stomach, brows knitting together in mild consternation when hands attempt to shove him and he sidesteps them instead. His mind still feels rather hazy. He tells himself that the crowd is all that prevents him from leaving.
'How did I get myself into this again?'
"Weren't you talking big just a second ago? He says all that and he can't even throw a single punch!" Laughing now. Aris' lips twitch in response.
'Oh. Whoops.'
"What's wrong with you?! Fight back! Come on!"
There's a fist in his gut this time, and he merely adjusts his stance to prevent himself from falling. Ha. Stubborn pride even on autopilot.
"No fighting on school grounds." Aris mutters, and gets a fist to the jaw for his thoughtful reminder.

IC :: Lark probably should have listened to Seth. Don't get involved with the fight, he said, you'll probably get in trouble if you do. However, she didn't have a good track record of listening to her brother. It led to the girl pushing through the crowd that had gathered around the fight. Sure, she got shoved around simply by that, but was glad she made it through to see what was actually happening. She got shoved out, whether on purpose or not, and stumbled there before going to defend the boy being beat up. Her blue eyes were wide as she said, "Stop, stop, no fighting, remember? Do you know how much trouble you would all be in if a teacher had come by?" Lark scorned them with seemngly no fear, but a part of her did regret trying to defend the kid, as, whoops, it was very possible she could get hurt. But it was worth it.

Finnian had been watching this fight from afar for a few minutes, debating on whether or not he should get involved. He knew he should listen to his older sister, the one who was the queen at fitting in whenever they had to move because of an accident that he caused. She was currently hissing in his ear, her perfectly manicured fingers wrapped around his skinny wrist as if to hold him back from getting involved. The junior flashed a glare at his sister, his green eyes sharp and ready for a fight, and in that time someone stopped the fight.
Finnian turned back, frowning when she the grill and took it was his sign to jump in as well. The boy jerked his wrist, breaking free of his "restraints" and darted forwards, creating a second boundary for the kid being beaten up. But Finnian turned to him, watching the beaten boy with curious green eyes. He was still standing, which was interesting. Finnian himself would have dropped to the ground at this point, but he was never good with "endurance", so that was probably why. Finnian offered the kid a small grin.
"Yeah, you idiots. Plus he aint fighting back. Guess what that means? It'll alll be on you," He drawled, before feeling someone shove him at the comment and he looked over at one of the bullies and gave an uncaring shrug. Finnian knew he didn't look like much, he was barely five five, a hundred and twenty pounds soaking wet. He had messy honey blonde hair and bright green eyes, and a couple of piercings that really didn't make him look much tougher but it was an attempt. They lined his left ear, and he had snake bites and a tongue piercing, but somehow those made him look less intimidating. It was a shame, too, because he was a good fighter as long as he avoided getting hit. He couldn't take what he dished out, he supposed.
He let out an alarmed yelp when he looked over at the wrong time, a fist smashing into his own jaw and making him stumble, wincing as he felt his jaw pop out of place for a few moments before popping back into place. He touched his jaw, eyes narrowing a little at the pain. Great. His parents would be furious. "Well that wasn't very nice." He commented, and saw his sister shaking her head desperately, begging him to back off. He didn't listen, not really.

'I don't need your help. This- this is fine. I'll just let them exhaust themselves-'
Aris snorts derisively at this, and would have moved to pinched the bridge of his nose if the intrusion of a new voice and body hadn't snapped him out of his stupor. The sparks begin to fade from immediate view, gradually allowing him to make out the form of a girl he could remember passing in the halls but never actually socializing with. This new interruption causes a ripple in the small crowd of six, her words shifting the antagonism onto herself, though they can't resist getting in one last dig: "He needs to hide behind a girl now! Seriously?!"
For a heartbeat, he just stands there in mute surprise because no one had ever actually moved to stand up for him before- he hadn't needed it- and he couldn't fathom why this girl would go out of her way to break up the mockery of a fight behind the school when she likely had better things to do.
'She mentioned a teacher remember? She's trying to prevent circumstances from getting any worse. As you are failing to.'
"Oh." Aris breathes, mint blue eyes widening then narrowing when the ringleader makes a threatening move toward his unflinching savior. His movements are still a bit halting, as if he's fighting against a current or battling a shift in gravity, but he manages to shove her out of the way- with more force than he'd intended to exert.
'Stop helping! You're not helping!'
"I have everything under control!" He snaps. 'Ha.' "I don't need your help or pity, I-"
And then a second interruption in the form of another teen a few inches shorter than the one he intended to protect, viridian eyes flash toward Aris, and he's too startled by the accompanying grin to respond by the time the blond turns to address his aggressors. He does so with the same easy confidence that the girl projected. And is consequently shoved for this as well.
'What is this?' Aris turns his glare on the newcomer, taking a half step backward because the jeering brunet who'd shoved him is trying to edge behind them. The arrival of unexpected allies has done nothing to dampen their spirits, in fact, it only inspires them to further violence. He exhales softly again as the brunet's eyes tinge red. 'Oh would'ya look at that. It can get worse after all.'
Aris had long suspected that there was something off about the newest gang to pop up in what was supposed to be a quiet town. Pretty much right after he'd been enrolled in school. So. Yeah. Suspicious. And sure his subsequent -ill advised- investigation had culminated in his nearly swallowing his tongue piercing, but that didn't mean these wannabe heroes could come crawling out of the woodwork and ruin things further. Despite his condemning line of thinking, Aris bites his lip and shifts anxiously to place himself ahead of the two. He can't fight with people- Doesn't know how. And he doesn't know if these two can keep up. And he doesn't know how not to hurt everyone when he fights. And-
'Not supposed to be fighting at all, remember?'
"Oh. Right."
He's too caught up in a panic spiral to register anything but the tail-end of Short Stuff taking a spectacular right hook to the face. He recovers swiftly, so he can probably last for a while. Not that Aris plans for this to take 'a while'. The blond's insouciant words goad the bloodthirsty pack further and Aris desperately searches his uncooperative brain for his brother's advice on getting out of violent situations unmolested.
All he can remember is, "Why don't you try to defuse the situation?" He can't recall what happens after it, and isn't certain what 'diffuse' means, but it's worth a try. Aris straightens his spine, dons what he thinks is a friendly smile -it isn't. He needs practice-, and spreads his gloved hands in a placating manner. Positive eye contact is important, so he stares unblinkingly into the ringleader's eyes. Said ringleader isn't sure what to make of this and glances behind him uncertainly. The template his brother had provided is lost to him, but he figures he can just put words wherever and he'd be fine. It's the sincerity that needs to be clearly shown, after all.
"I understand that you're feeling unreasonably bloodthirsty." Aris begins in a calming tone. His voice is naturally low, husky, and vaguely belligerent. Calm sounds weird coming from him, but he persists. "I can relate- But not now. I'm trying to be a good person." That was kind of empathetic, right? "And as a show of good will, I advise you to turn around," He illustrates this by circling a finger in the air, "and return to whatever pit you spawned from before I kill you." There. Straightforward and sincere.
'Cycled back to the original smack talk at the end there, but good effort.'
There is a beat of silence after his words. The sudden eruption of mocking laughter coincides with the school bell and something tells Aris that he really needs to look up the definition of the word 'defuse' for future reference.
====
((Can I just say that I love how you introduced your characters?
Also Aris refers to Finnian as 'Short Stuff' but he's barely 5'6 and therefore isn't much taller.))

IC :: Lark had to admit, she cussed as she was thrown to the side. It wasn't all that difficult to push her aside, but she should have expected it. She braced for impact on the ground, but was a little glad to have made it to the crowd where she got some support to help her stand up straight and properly. So much for trying to help- she probably should have just gotten a teacher as she thought back onto it. It would have been so much smarter and probably wouldn't have left a possible bruise.
She manages to get on a steady two feet after somebody got punched. Which, it took her a moment to, she realized was a different person trying to help kinda stop the fight? Right, she recalled him making a comment after hers before she got shoved. She took in a small breath to watch for a second and try to figure out whether inter referring again would help or not help. She was half tempted to go over and make sure the person who got hit most recently was alright, but couldn't find it in herself to actually move.Lark would have liked to blame it on the dizziness she got after being slammed into the crowd.
Luckily she gets distracted before then, if you can call it a luckily. The original boy who was getting beaten up said something, she processed it as not being the smartest thing to say as laughing started up. That was weird, and then the words the kid had said came to her and she inwardly sighed, it did seem a little stupid to say. No point in regretting what she had done now though, just pray people heard the bell- did she even hear the bell properly?- and moved onto class, including the bullies so life could just go on like normal.
Lark wasn't certain it would though.

Finnian was ready to square up. He wasn't the best at controlling is temper... or just not getting into trouble in general. He had what you might say "impulse control issues" or a "savior complex", which is what Mariah his sister always told him. So those bright, friendly green eyes turned cold the moment he was hit. It wasn't the ring leader that had hit him, but one of his henchmen. The real big and ugly one- not big as in fat. But huge. All around. Probably round with muscles, but it could be fat (he was going to hedge his bets with muscle, though, due to the fact that he was wearing a football jersey). Thats the one who hit him, and Finnian didn't hesitate to leap forward to try and get a hit in.
It would be pretty comical to the crowd, especially because Finnian had to actually jump to wrap his arms around the others neck, anger flowing out of him in waves. He could begin to feel himself start to lose his own self control. That was bad, too, because strange things tended to happen when he lost control. Most often things would set themselves on fire around him, or explode, and his mother would chide him on not being careful. But he didn't know how he wasn't careful, he usually didn't move a muscle when things like that had happened.
It had all started when he was thirteen. It was actually his birthday, and a bunch of guys thought it would be hilarious to stick him up on a flag pole and leave him there for the duration of the school day. He'd fought so hard and was so scared that the flagpole had actually caught fire before the boys could get him up on it. Because of that he had his first count of Arson on his record. Note that he said the first, not the only. That night he'd discovered a book on his bed, and he always assumed it was something his parents had given him even though they both deny left and right that they had done it. It was a strange book, one with some spells in it that he'd never tried , a list of potions ingredients and where to buy them, and a bunch of blank pages for him to (presumably) write his own spells. The prewritten spells took up about twenty pages of the fifty page book and he was too chicken to try them out.
Finnian let out a yelp as he was slammed to the ground by this inhumanly strong beast of a boy, wincing when he heard his back crack. Gonna need to go to a chiropractor. He thought with a groan as he was kicked harshly in the sides, the beating only stopping as this kid started to talk, giving Finnian a chance to breath before the group started laughing and the bell rang, signaling the first class. The idiots left, and so did the crowd, and Finnian let out a groan, uncurling himself a little, wincing as pain took over his body for a few minutes as he looked up. "You're pretty funny." He commented before he spat out some blood on the floor, trying to get the taste out of his mouth.

'That wasn't disappointing at all.'
The tension in the air dissipates with the bell's shrill ringing, crimson light dying in the eyes of those who had been spoiling for a fight mere seconds ago. Aris watches them leave with mute disbelief, his previous aggressors laughing and shoving each other companionably. He would have believed that he'd simply hallucinated the whole thing if it wasn't for the teasing brush of something in the deceptively light air that raises his hackles further as the previously riled teens trot toward the school building. Aris envies their ability to slip casually out of the red haze of aggression because his breathing is uneven and he keeps twitching toward them in an unconscious effort to make good on his promise. It would seem that his deliberating during the earlier stages in their harassment had finally revealed the reason he'd allowed it to go on for so long. Aris hadn't felt blood on his hands for ages and he'd really wanted an excuse to just- But that was not a Good Thing and the opposite of what he'd been trying to accomplish.
'And after you made such a big deal about being a 'good person' too.'
"Shut up."
Attempting to steady his breathing, he shoves his fists into the pockets of his ragged ebony jacket and turns toward two of the last remaining students. He supposes he has something to be grateful for in the form of their well-timed distraction at the very least. Aris' gaze flicks from the girl, tension lifting from her shoulders as the crowd drifts away, to the blond spitting blood onto the pavement. He struggles not to feel guilty for that.
"You're pretty funny."
Aris isn't sure who the comment is directed at, and simply cants his head in acknowledgement. "You should have punched him in the jaw." Is what he says by way of response, masking concern with disapproval. The shorter boy is the sole recipient of damage from their altercation, and he runs a critical eye over him in an attempt to gauge how bad the injuries are when his brother appears at his side in that creepy, sudden way of his.
"Persi." While delivered in monotone, there's an undercurrent of guilt at the lack of alacrity in his brother's movements. Aris often forgets that he's not the only one who has to pay for his mistakes.
"Poli~" His response is as sunny as ever, yet without the usual teasing glint in sharp auric eyes. Aris narrows his own but obligingly steps aside as the taller of the two engages in his customary 'clean up act'. With naturally handsome features and an affable mien, Persi has succeeded in charming the majority of the town in just three short months, winning them over with sanguine grins and subtle use of the favor system. Strangely, there's something different about how he interacts with these two, however.
Persi sweeps forward with none of his brother's stiffness and a sheepish smile in place. "I apologize for my brother getting you caught up in that." He elbows Aris with one arm and extends the other to help the blond up. "Aren't you?" He says softly, lips barely moving. "But I appreciate your stepping in when you did, it didn't seem like that was going to end anytime soon-"
"You were watching?!" Aris hisses. Persi ignores him and straightens to catch the wary girl in the glint of his charmingly crooked megawatt smile as well. "I'm Perseus and this is my little brother-"
"Twin. And I'm older than you." Again, he is ignored. "-Polaris." He opens his mouth to add more but suddenly catches sight of the mud on the blond's side and the ginger way the girl is standing. His smile becomes a mild frown, brows furrowing as he slants his gaze toward Aris, who averts his own with a slight downward tilt to his mouth. "Ah, would you like help getting to the nurse's office?"

OoC :: words
IC :: Lark gains more of her ability to keep focus and recognize words as the crowd disperses. She blinks open her eyes a few times, places her hand against her head to help focus and voila, words are much more coherent and she feels better, if possible. She aches a little, from being pushed and caught, likely to leave bruises, but nothing bad. She took in a breath and let it out slowly before her eyes moved to the boy. Then to the poor person who seemed to have the worst injuries, her dazed look turning to a more concerned and worried frown.
She would have said something there to try and help the boy on the floor, but another new person appears. Lark started with just watching his interaction with the person who was being bullied with surprise- immediately it seemed they were two completely different entities. And then he speaks, to her and the boy on the floor and she smiles a little at him, moving her more uninjured arm to grip onto the other. She regretted it immediately as she realized a bruise was certainly going to form there, but she didn't let go.
"Oh, don't worry about it- I just wish I could have done more to help..." Lark chuckled to herself, a slightly bitter laugh, "I did basically nothing anyway. It's nice to meet you Perseus.... and Polaris," she paused for a moment before going to introduce herself, "My name is Lark... Pleasure to meet you, though wish it wasn't just after a fight occurred."
Holy, Lark found it a little unbelievable the two were brothers. They had such differing personalities it seemed, Perseus just seemed so much more charming than Polaris appeared to be, despite Lark basically just meeting both. So, it was possible that she couldn't fully compare them, she reasoned after.
"Ah, right, nurse's office..." It would probably be the more intelligent choice to go there anyway, Lark supposed. Better than suffering throughout the day, however Lark found it to be embarrassing to need to go there because of a few bruises. Though, her head was still a little dizzy. Her grip on her arm dropped and the bruised arm went to her head, gripping some of her auburn hair in embarrassment. "I suppose it's good to go there."

Finnian couldn't help but quirk his lips up in the comment of his fighting abilities, which ouch that hurt even moving his lips a little because of that bruise that was currently forming on a side of his face. The guy was right, he really should have aimed for the jaw. It was just... whenever there was some type of altercation Finnian didn't think tactically. It was like a primal part of him came out and it was all over. If he was actually thinking he would have punched, probably would have gotten a few good hits in, too, if it hadn't been for his idiotic mind. "I know. Wasn't thinking though," He managed with a laugh that turned into a cough at the end, covering his mouth a little before moving it away, rubbing the bloody smudge on his hand away on his black skinny jeans before anyone noticed. There wasn't any need to worry anyone with something like that, although his chest was starting to constrict uncomfortably again, a sign that he needed to find his inhaler soon if he could.
He glanced over a the girl who had stepped in first, holding her arm gingerly and he couldn't help but wonder if she was alright. She'd gotten some pretty nasty shoves and no doubt she was in pain, which definitely sucked . "So... Are school days always this eventful? If so, I think I'm gonna like it here," He continued, not trusting himself to get up just yet. Even sitting was making him dizzy, so he thought it would be best to just stay in this position for the time being, wait for his body to feel decent enough to drag back to his classes so he wouldn't miss anything.
Then a new voice broke through the murmur of high school students, and Finnian looked around, trying to figure out where the voice was coming from. Then he saw the boy, one that looked exactly like their fighter here, but taller. It was clear they were related, probably only a year apart and if not they were twins. The similarity physically was just way too much to chalk it up to simple siblings.
Finnian hesitantly took the hand, blushing for a moment at the realization that he actually needed help getting up. Pain rocked his body, it turning tense and trembling as he stood. Those kicks were never something that Finnian could get used too, every time it happened it seemed to get worse and he felt a bit dumb thinking it'd stop now that he was actually at school.
"N-not a problem.. The thugs were the ones who started it I bet. They're all bullies here. Time for someone to stand up to 'em," He responded, wheezing a little as he tired to stay straight without wheezing or sounding he was in physical distress. But it was all there, Finian was just an expert at hiding pain. He managed a small smile back, working on how he;d get out of this, exactly. "M'names Finnian, and I could definitely use some help on getting there." He responded, smiling at the two brothers who were polar opposites.

Annabelle pulled on her boots, her hazel eyes gleaming, her brown hair flowing down her back. She already had her barrette holding her bangs. She was an exchange student, but she knew a lot of english, despite her first language being French. She grabbed her toast and headed into the hall. She was pretty nervous, but she didn't let it show, walking confidently down the hall. Her hair faded to blonde at the tips, which created a beautiful ombre as it faded. She hummed along to Hamilton (In English!) as she walked. She was humming specifically "You'll Be Back". One of her earbuds hung free.

Perseus' expression softens at Lark's words, and he flicks his wrist in an idly elegant gesture as if brushing away her concerns. "That you intended to do anything at all is more than most can claim." His lips twist in a wry smile. "I do as well, but I suppose there's nothing for it. Pleasure to meet you two." The cadence of his voice slows before picking up again as he asks after both their injuries, and Aris watches him with something akin to awe as he somehow teases a smile out of both teens. Where Aris' voice is low and smoky, Perseus' has a smooth and floaty cadence to it that borders on singsong when he's pleased. His features are sharper and naturally, pleasantly expressive. He gestures minutely as he speaks, gilded eyes bright behind frameless glasses and dark rosy hair falling into his face when he tilts his head to the side with a soft laugh. Their physical differences are the most evident- With Aris's svelte stature and softer passionless features. There are enough similarities to suggest sharing DNA, yet they wear them differently. He's scarred and pierced and his strawberry blond -pink- hair is perpetually messy whereas Perseus always looks immaculate. Even his wardrobe is predominantly black while Perseus favors white.
Whenever they're together and he can see and feel gazes darting between them, making a connection and wondering 'How?', he feels woefully inadequate. Because Perseus is everything he aspires to be and does it so easily. But then Perseus gets That Look in his eye and Aris remembers that his little brother is an idiot too.
Mint blue eyes narrow in on one of Perseus' more telling tics. He's absently rubbing the pads of his fingers together, his left hand, as his other arm is occupied with supporting Finnian. To most, the gesture would be the international 'give me money' sign. On his brother, it's 'give me magic'. Unlike Aris, Perseus is absolutely enamored with their 'gifts' and delights in using his every chance he gets. In this case, however, he's motivated more by concern than a desire to play around. Even as he volunteers them to help the others to the school nurse, Perseus' assessing gaze drifts between the two injured as if mentally working out the mechanics of healing them with less mundane means. And really that's a very honorable thought. And a rather stupid one. Because they're trying not to advertise magic as a legit thing and the less people who know the better.
"It is about time someone stands up to them." Perseus is musing in response to something Finnian was saying, his tone setting off more alarms in his brother's head. They sound kind of like the Kill Bill sirens. They've technichally only known each other for three months and change, but something about Perseus' quiet smile is familiar and Aris' mind apparently associates it with No Good. Or Kill Bill. Either way Perseus is somehow the least cautious of the two and this is a problem.
"Don't." Aris breathes, slanting a glare at his absently smiling brother. His response is a delicate arch of dark brows, head tilt, slight frown, and nose wrinkle. Translation: "Is this not your fault?" He hates that even Perseus's face-talk is prissy. Aris grimaces because he is to blame, but he's certain that at least 75% of this is Perseus' doing. Somehow. Satisfied by his silence, his brother begins to help Finnian toward the school, so Aris moves to awkwardly hover at Lark's side.
His hands remain in his pockets and he gives her a sidelong look. "You can walk, can't you?" Perseus doesn't pause but is scary proficient at projecting his disapproval. It could be a twin thing.
Aris' teeth sink into his bottom lip before he manages, "I'm...sorry. For- I misjudged my strength. Didn't mean to hurt you." Avoiding her gaze smacks of insincerity when he is being completely sincere, but meeting her eyes would be awkward. He stares desperately at his brother's back.
"Let's go."

Annabelle bobbed her head gently to the beat as "Right Hand Man" came on. She was trying to steer clear of people, but being in a crowded hall with two-inch heels was terrible. She kept looking down at her phone as her friend needily texted her. She sighed a happy sigh. Her blue hoodie hung around her waist, and her yellow shirt seemed to have a darker yellow star on it.

Finnian wasn't sure why, but he was always uncomfortable with people like Perseus. They always seemed so perfect, their features immaculate. It was like nothing could stop them (or bother them) because they were simply above everything else. His hair was perfect, he said all the right things and it just made Finnian uncomfortable. He just wanted to shy away from the guy even if he was helping Finnian towards the nurses office. He just felt grungy when he was standing next to him, even though he managed to have a smile pulled from him.
Finnian was just messy, his hair was always a mess, and although his clothing wasn't messy they weren't nearly as neat as Perseus'. He limped slowly towards wherever the nurses office was, wheezing quietly as he contemplated these twins.
Frankly he preferred people like Polaris. Th ronrs who were a bit messy like him, who were a little rough around the edges. He was more comfortable with less perfect people because he knew what to expect with them. Plus he really liked Polaris' piercings.
"Th-they'll just work in Mcdonalds for the rest of their life." He commented, before making them stop, coughing again, his body doubling over as he tried to get a breath, having pushed himself just a little bit too far this time. Well, he pushed himself too far everytime he fought but still, coughing and not being able to breath well sucked.

IC :: She nodded at the first part, she could still walk fine. Lark figured it was more of her upper body that took the hit anyway, so as long as she could make sure there was no major damage she was fine. Her eyes moved from one twin to the other with a small smile forming. "Yeah, I can still walk fine, don't worry."
She hadn't expected him to apologize to her though, it seemed like a silly concept. She didn't really think he did anything bad- well, there was the case he had started the fight with the guys, but it was still her own fault for getting involved. Thinking about, her brother was likely going to scold her for trying to interfere later. That would really suck she believed. Luckily, her parents probably wouldn't question any bruises or scrapes- then again, they were unlikely to be home.
"Don't worry, I don't blame you at all," she gave him a smile, though figured he wouldn't really see it as he was looking away anyway. She shrugged it off, focusing on moving towards the new destination of nurse's office.
As they walked, her eyes skimmed the crowd in curiosity, wondering whether or not any of these people had seen the fight. A girl who was moving along the halls caught her eye, she looked rather happy- and definitely not as beat up. Lark laughed at herself a little before going back quiet, and honestly glancing between the twins and the bloody and bruised boy.

Annabelle kept walking, bobbing her head. She had no idea where she was going, and ran into a wall. "Ow..." she murmured, rubbing her cheek.

Perseus waits patiently for Finnian's coughing to subside, frowning at him pensively as he moves to lean against the wall so that other students can pass. "Your breathing is irregular- do you feel like anything is broken? Is it possible that you have a pulmonary contusion?" His last words are muttered to himself, along with a brief list of possible afflictions. He's uncomfortably well-acquainted with each and every one of them as a result of the combination of his and Polaris' magical drawbacks. Never a dull moment, at least.
The nurse's office is just around the corner, but he's sure that he can right whatever wrongs have been inflicted with a swiftness and accuracy that the woman couldn't claim. Pity his magic lacks in discretion when used on others.
'Ah, how frustrating. Perhaps I should make another bid for spoken words..?'
====
"Don't worry, I don't blame you at all." Lark smiles at him and Aris blinks in surprise before responding with a soft, 'right.' He had almost offered to allow her to hit him back before remembering Perseus mentioning that normal people don't operate on the revenge system, at least not for 'trivialities'. She's still favoring her arm though, and he can't help giving her a sidelong glance with a faint frown. Aris is relieved that Perseus' preventive measures worked, at least. They lessened the effects of his unconscious use of magic and sustained minimal damage during the entire altercation- Which, technically, isn't much to be proud of as there weren't any particularly powerful beings harassing him, but it was a start.
"It shouldn't have happened." He asserts, but leaves it at that in favor of sidestepping the girl who had walked into a wall with an arch of his thrice pierced brow. Aris doesn't recognize her; presumably another new student like Finnian.
"Ow.." She rubs her cheek.
Another new student with self-inflicted injuries like Finnian. "Is this some kind of rite of passage now? The school isn't that great."

IC :: Lark doesn't immediatly glance back to Aris as he speaks, not as though he said a lot. He is right, it probably shouldn't have happened, but Lark was willing to take her own blame in the injuries, not to say the bullies weren't also an incredibly huge part of them. But she shoved through the crowd to defend a kid she barely knew. Well, didnt know really. Perhaps Lark had seen him around school, but never talked to him, and she went in to defend someone she couldnt see from where she was at. She figured she'd get injured, Seth was right. Get into business of others and you get hurt, stay out of it. Though, it was difficult to care when you had the oppertunity to help someone, of course she'd take it.
She nodded after a while, before responding quietly back, "No, it probably shouldn't have. But it did, no need to mull over it." She would have liked to say that there was no need for grudges, but she knew she wouldnt follow that. If she had the oppertunity with no drawbacks, she would punch any one of the bullies... admittedly, it would be a pretty weak punch, but one nonetheless.
When the girl Lark had previously looked at bumped into a wall though, she didnt pay much attention. Perhaps flinched a little for the girl, but after Polaris spoke, she had to try and stop a laugh. "Thats a funny way to think about it." Getting injured at school, tall about a great rite of passage.

((Well Tom/Annabelle invited you to join her, but the majority of your starter can be an introduction to your character if you want? Who they are, how they feel, how their morning went, etc. We're just introducing characters right now, plot-type things will come later~))
