Just a little idea that came to my mind the other day... An rp where superheroes are normal. Young kids are selected if they have powers or show abilities that would make a good superhero. They are then taken and put into superhero academies located throughout the U.S. (or maybe the world?) and then when they hit high school age (I'm thinking junior year -- so maybe 16/17), they are then distributed out to various superhero teams across the country. They will then spend the last couple years of their training putting their skills to the test in a legitimate facility. This would be the roleplay. The high schoolers that were selected and sent to the New York City superheroes would then undergo the last part of their training, and then either be allowed to join, or will be kicked to the curb after all their years of servitude. I'm thinking 30% are accepted out of everyone every year, to make the competition really tough? We could roleplay the high schoolers, but also their teachers -- the legitimate superheroes.
And of course, I'm think we'll need a bad guy team that is mostly made up of rejects from the superheroes.

Idk if this is considered an idea but like instead of grades have levels
So like it's not necessarily age but like a 12 year old and 16 year old could be at the same level
Like blue then yellow then orange then red ya know?

So kind of like karate belts?
Maybe we have both...? Like, they still need to learn chemistry abd stuff. XD

Yeah, definitely no belts. XD But definitely different lessons and dorms. Maybe the higher levels are sometimes allowed to go with? It could even be some kind of competition thing, if we wanted. Like, you could move up and down levels depending on how you did.

Yeah, the competition part would need some sorting out.

And maybe like since higher levels get more privileges/freedoms, it's possible to move down levels as a punishment for misbehaving?

Thanks! =3 I don't suppose you have any ideas or opinions on a color system? XD
MAYBE, we could base it off of the belts you get in karate? o.O

Similar to belts but maybe everyone has the same uniform. Like a black suit or something. Your level is indicated by one stripe of color in the right bicep region?

Now we just need the different levels and what each level means... I think there should also be some rules. Like, a fourteen-year-old (assuming that is the youngest that the heroes can be if we're just doing high schoolers that get transferred) can't be in the last level because each level would take a general amount of time or... whatever.

Levels could go like: White Green Blue Yellow Orange Red
I tried to find colors that kind of melt into each other but that was hard. And then if you wanted less levels, we could take some out. But it could also be middle and high school so like seventh - twelfth
And maybe you're school classes are based on your age but then your superhero classes are based on your level

I think that's a good number of levels. It could even be that, like, when you reach one of the later levels, you kind of "graduate" and the last couple levels could be working with the team and doing things?
I thought we already agreed to make superhero and school levels separate?

I'm not sure about having two groups that are basically "graduated", it seems like people would just not make any characters in other groups if that was the case. I do like the idea of the levels, though

I feel like we need to narrow what age and stuff characters are? Which is why I was thinking high school age only. XD And like, the superhero team would obviously need to be a thing, but they could be more like "side characters." And we could focus the rp completely on the trainees. o.o Does that make sense?
Aviva, what do you mean? o.O Are you talking about levels vs. schooling? Because they wouldn't be separate groups, just two separate... groupings? XD Like, a senior who also passed his tests, so he's also Level Red?
Thank you, Blossomshadow! =3 Please feel free to throw out ideas and help us out. o.e

On the Old Forums, I created a roleplay similar to this with trainees. Basically the humans with powers were assigned to a super hero to be trained and stuff. I'm not saying that's it's the same idea or anything, just simply stating that I've created such a RP before and am more than willing to help (:
