there was this fairly cheap package of quinoa and I was kind of like "hey I bet I could actually prepare that with just a water kettle"
so now I'm eating the quinoa but I probably should have paid more attention to the packaging because it turns out it's jalapeño quinoa
I mean it's not bad but I was not expecting this
also I like...don't eat spicy things ever rip but it tastes pretty good
and I think jalapeños are good for you?

this probably isn't even all that spicy I just have no basis for comparison
fortunately I have several available bowls of microwaveable macaroni if it gets any hotter

ugh I tried adding more hot water because it tasted good at first but now it tastes even worse
but I can't go all the way to the kitchen to get rid of this stuff
which means I have to eat it
it's so gross though I don't even mind the jalapeños I just want it to taste good

I love that this thread tells a whole narrative.
Will our hero push forward and conquer her demons?
...No, because quinoa is gross.

this is so bad but I've eaten like 3/4 of it and the spicy water is...acceptable
maybe it only tasted okay at the beginning because my mouth was hot from the jalapeño stuff

it's a really gross grain
I went to the kitchen, poured the rest of the spicy water down the drain, and threw away the rest of the quinoa
I couldn't take it anymore
and here I thought the jalapeños would be the problem

I cooked it by putting it in hot water like the package said to
then I thought maybe adding more hot water would make it taste okay again (it didn't)
