Welcome Co-host: ❴ ғα∂ιηg ✦ яεαℓιтү ❵ ! They manage pretty much the entire Discord server. If you have any technical q's about Discord, ask them and not me lol. I do most of the in-game stuff so if you have questions on how the game works, feel free to talk to me!
Anyways, welcome! For those who frequent Forum Games, you're probably sick of me making Forum Mafia threads by now. But I promise that this is actually the last topic I make for it. No, this isn't the last game, but Aaron and I talked about it and decided that since the player-base still seems interested, we would try to host a game on a monthly basis! Months where we are too busy will be skipped, such as December due to finals and winter break. If a month is skipped, someone with knowledge of the game, roles, and how to host can set a replacement game up in our stead! Just because we were the first (?) to host an FM game here doesn't mean we have to be the only ones!
As always, this topic will be used for joining (as a player or a substitute) and, once the games start, I shall post announcements such as deaths and stuff which will also be posted in the Discord. Thank you to all who join or consider it! Just because you join does not mean you have to participate in every month's game btw. You may also ask us questions here. Feel free to tag your friends to see if they are interested as well! For those tagged, please do not post just to say "I'm not playing". It clogs up the thread and makes it harder for me to keep track of who is actually participating. (I won't ask you to delete your posts or anything though, it's just a bit annoying.)
tl;dr this thread shall be recycled every month for our games. Post for joining or questions, and just because we host these games doesn't mean you can't. If you wanna host an FM game yourself, I'm not going to stop you! About This is a Forum version of the classic party game "Mafia" or the online game "Town of Salem". The role list is most inspired by Town of Salem roles (I am most familiar with them) and the Town of Salem Forum Mafia games. Any new roles will be pointed out in my announcements and a (new) will be put next to them in the roles sections. The playerbase can always suggest changes to roles if they seem too powerful or weak.
Each player is assigned a role. Most roles have some sort of secondary effect, such as a night action, while others don't have anything special about them (citizens). Their role determines their faction and resultingly, a way to win. The game starts with only the mafia knowing each other - the town and neutrals don't know any of their allies other than themselves!
The game is made up of a Day Phase and a Night Phase. During the day phase, players may discuss amongst each other and even vote others up to hang. This is one of the only ways the Town can kill the Mafia. A majority vote is needed, meaning the number of players alive divided by 2 plus one. You may only vote one person at a time, and can always /unvote or /No Vote. An unvote simply takes your vote off the person you previously voted on. A "No Vote" means you want to end the day phase early without a lynch. To vote someone, type /Vote [Name]. Players may also whisper during the Day Phase, but they have a limit of 6 whispers per day and a 200 character limit for each whisper. I will then post "Player 1 is whispering to Player 2". During the night phase, players with roles that have night actions will send in their night actions to the hosts in their one-on-one chats. Once all night actions have been sent in, the night can end early. Certain roles can also converse during the night phase, such as the Medium with the dead players, the Jailor with their jailed target, and the Mafia amongst themselves.
Each player has a one-on-one chat where they can submit night actions, update their Last Will (which I will announce on the day they die), tell us how they want to die, and update their Death Note if they have one (which shows up with their victims). The mafia will also have their own chat, the Mafia Chat which is ONLY open on Day 1 (to greet each other) and all night phases. All roles with a night action may also choose to stay in, which means they will not perform their night action at all. There is also a Dead Chat where dead players can converse about the game without affecting the living players, and finally an End of Game chat where all players or bystanders can talk about how the game went, how they think they played, and how they think others played.
There are three factions: the Town, the Mafia, and the Neutral Faction. The Town must kill the Mafia and all other bad roles, while the Mafia must kill the Town and anyone else who opposes them. The Neutral faction has varying win conditions that will be explained in the role list below!
Day 1 will always be shorter than the other days. It will only be 2 days long unless a majority vote is reached. Nights will last 3 days, but can end early if every person submits their night action early. If this happens, I will end the night a few hours after the last night action is sent in and begin delivering night results. Days will last 4 days, but can end early if a majority vote is reached. These longer times are to consider that most people have started school now and thus will be busier, leaving less time for discussion. Rules and Punishments - Follow the forum rules (although minor cursing is allowed). Sand is in the Discord to enforce this.
- Do not gamethrow (go against your faction goal). If you gamethrow, we will never allow you into another game and will end the game early with your faction's loss.
- Do not post in incorrect chats. i.e. Dead players should not post in the Day Phase, and no one should post in the End of Game chat until the game is over. Do not post in the Mafia Chat during the Day Phase unless it is Day 1. Players will be warned by one of the hosts if they do this. If they post something game-changing, it will be deleted by us without warning.
- Do not reveal game-changing information outside of the game. If we find out you did this, we will never allow you into another game and will end the game early with your faction's loss.
- Do not use screenshots as proof. We will automatically delete any posts using screenshots as proof and a reminder will be posted about this rule.
- Do not delete your posts in the Day Phase. If you delete your posts, I will re-post what you said ASAP (or paraphrase it if I can't remember the exact wording) and will warn you.
- Do not sign up if you cannot post at least three times in the Day Phase. This hurts your teammates a lot. If a person does not post at all in any given phase, other than Day 1 due to its shortened nature, I will prod them for activity. If they do not respond within 24 hours, I will remove them from the game and substitute someone else in or figure out a way to make up for their kick.
- You may request to be replaced by a substitute at any time, although this will postpone the game until I can find one or figure out how to make it fair to your faction.
Joining If you want to join, just say so, but be explicit! "Sounds fun" =/= joining. We would like 10 players minimum for each game, and 15 players maximum. Role lists will vary depending on how many players we get.

Mafia Roles Win Conditions: You must kill the Town. You must kill all Serial Killers. You may spare anyone else.
You are the Godfather.
You are the respected leader of the Mafia and are trying to take over the town by killing off its citizens.
You can vote to kill one person each night that is not a member of your Mafia. If you have a Mafioso, they will carry out your attack for you. If there is no Mafioso, you will carry out the attack yourself. You have the ability to write a Death Note, but your Death Note will only appear if you are the one to carry out the killing. You will be informed if your target was immune, but only if you carry out the killing. If you do not vote to kill anyone, your Mafioso’s vote will go through. You are immune to night attacks. Anyone who attacks you will receive the message that you were immune. You will receive a message that you were attacked. You will appear as Not Suspicious if you are investigated by a Sheriff. You can communicate with your allies at night in the Mafia Chat as long as they are alive. Your role is unique. There can only be 1 Godfather at a time.
You are the Mafioso. You are the Godfather’s second-in-command and right-hand man. Loyalty to your Godfather comes first and that loyalty comes with a great reward: you will one day take your leader's place.
You can vote to kill one person each night that is not a member of your Mafia, however your Godfather’s vote has priority over yours and you will kill whoever your Godfather designates. If your Godfather does not vote to kill anyone, then you will kill your own target instead. You have the ability to write a Death Note. You will be informed if your target was immune. You will become the Godfather should the Godfather die. In that case, refer to the Godfather role card instead. You can communicate with your allies at night in the Mafia Chat as long as they are alive. Your role is unique. There can only be 1 Mafioso at a time.
You are a Framer. You are an expert at forgery, and use your skills to deceive the Town.
You can frame one person each night. That person will appear as Mafia to the Sheriff if they are investigated that night. You might become the Mafioso if both the Mafioso and Godfather are dead. In that case, refer to the Mafioso role card instead. You can communicate with your allies at night in the Mafia Chat as long as they are alive.
You are a Consort. Beautiful and alluring, you use your skills to distract the Town for your family.
You can roleblock one person each night. This prevents them from fulfilling their night action. Your target will be notified that they were roleblocked. You cannot be roleblocked. You might become the Mafioso if both the Mafioso and Godfather are dead. In that case, refer to the Mafioso role card instead. You can communicate with your allies at night in the Mafia Chat as long as they are alive. If you roleblock a Serial Killer, they will attack you and you will be informed as such.
You are a Consigliere. An embittered former investigator for the Town, you now serve the Mafia after having honed your interrogation skills.
You can investigate one person each night. If your action goes through, you will learn your target's role. You might become the Mafioso if both the Mafioso and Godfather are dead. In that case, refer to the Mafioso role card instead. You can communicate with your allies at night in the Mafia Chat as long as they are alive.
You are an Agent. (new) You are a hacking expert with a knack for more... private work, using your technology genius to aid the mafia
You can choose one player to bug during the day phase but you must choose within the first 24 hours of the day phase or you will not bug anyone at all. Once a bug has been set, you will see all whispers the player receives or sends during that day phase. You will NOT see sent/received whispers prior to bugging the player, so choose carefully but choose quickly. You cannot change your bug target after the bug has been set. You can also choose one player to bug during the night phase. You have an unlimited time to choose during the night phase, as long as you choose before the night ends, otherwise you will not bug anyone at all. Once a bug has been set, you will be informed who the player visits at night (if at all), as well as their night results. Your targets will not be informed they are bugged. Your abilities alternate, meaning you have access to both at the start of the game but can only use one. So for example, if you choose to bug someone Night 1, you will not be able to bug Day 2. In this case, you will regain the ability to bug on Day 3 only if you do not bug anyone on Night 2. You might become the Mafioso if both the Mafioso and Godfather are dead. In that case, refer to the Mafioso role card instead. You can communicate with your allies at night in the Mafia Chat as long as they are alive.
You are a Janitor. (new) You are a sanitation expert who specializes in cleaning corpses to the point of unrecognizability.
Each night, you can choose one player to clean. If that player dies that night (no matter the cause of death), they will successfully be cleaned. You only have 3 cleanings. Choosing a target that doesn’t die will use up one of your cleans. A cleaned player’s last will will not appear to the town, and their role will simply show up as “Cleaned”. You will have access to your target’s last will and role. You might become the Mafioso if both the Mafioso and Godfather are dead. In that case, refer to the Mafioso role card instead. You can communicate with your allies at night in the Mafia Chat as long as they are alive.
Town Roles Win Conditions: You must kill all Vampires. You must kill all Werewolves. You may spare anyone else.
You are the Jailor. (Town Power) (new) You are responsible for taking care of the town’s criminals, using your jail to keep order in the town.
Each night you can jail one person and choose to execute them (excluding yourself). You only have 3 executions. If you execute a townsperson, you lose all remaining executions. You must choose a person to jail during the day by messaging the host in your one-on-one chat. If you fail to message the host before the end of the day phase, you will not jail anyone! In jail, you can communicate anonymously with your prisoner by contacting the host through your one-on-one chat. In turn, the host will message you your prisoner’s defense. The prisoner will have a 1000-character limit overall to speak to you each night. After the limit is reached, they cannot speak any more to you. Both players will be informed if the limit is reached. Jailed targets cannot perform their night ability no matter what and are considered roleblocked, even if they are roleblock immune otherwise. Jailed targets gain immunity from all night actions (witched, roleblocked, attacked, investigated). You cannot execute on the first night. Executions kill everyone, no matter their immunity. If you jail and do not execute a Serial Killer, you will be attacked by the Serial Killer. You cannot be tracked by the Paparazzi or Lookout. (Jailed mafia are not allowed to communicate in the Mafia chat, but they can see the Mafia chat. The Mafia will be told if one of their own is jailed). Your role is unique. There can only be 1 Jailor at a time.
You are a Retributionist. (Town Power) (new) Experienced in magic, you put your skills to use for the sake of the Town.
You can choose one person to resurrect from the dead as long as they are a Townie. You can ONLY resurrect one person, so be careful who you choose. Your role is unique. There can only be 1 Retributionist at a time.
You are the Mayor (Town Power) (new) The leader of the town, you are the Mafia’s prime target and remain in hiding for fear of your life.
You can choose to reveal yourself anytime during the day by saying “/reveal”. The host will then post “___ has revealed themselves as the Mayor!” confirming you. Once revealed, you cannot be healed by the Doctor. Once revealed, your vote counts as 3 votes. Your role is unique. There can only be 1 Mayor at a time.
You are a Sheriff. (Town Investigative) You are the sheriff of the town, and will use your skills to investigate the Mafia.
You can investigate one person each night (excluding yourself). You will be informed if they are Not Suspicious, a member of the Mafia, or a Serial Killer. The Godfather, however, will appear innocent to you.
You are a Lookout (Town Investigative). You use your stealth (and evident insomnia) to your advantage, stalking people at night for a cause: you watch out for the town while they sleep.
You can watch one person each night (excluding yourself). You will see the names of anyone that chooses to visit your target that night (if anyone visits at all). You cannot find the Jailor, thus even if you watch someone who is jailed, you will not see them being visited by anyone (because all night actions fail on a jailed target). You can find the witch by watching the witched target, but not by watching the target of the witch’s target (i.e. the person the witch controls their target onto). You cannot find ethereal happenings. For example, if a dead medium seances your target, you will not see the dead medium visiting them. Similarly, you will not see a dead jester’s haunting or a dead mercenary’s guarding.
You are a Paparazzi. (Town Investigative) (new) You are skilled in the ways of stealth; following your prey to any destination is child’s play for someone of your caliber.
Each night, you can choose someone to follow (excluding yourself), thus following them that night to see who they visit (if anyone). You can also see self-visits. You will not know the action your victim performs. Thus, even if you find someone who visits a person that dies to the mafia the next night, that doesn’t mean they are a mafia killing role. You CANNOT track the Jailor, meaning if you choose to track the jailor, it will appear as if they have not visited anyone (even if they do jail someone). If you track the Witch, you will only see the person they control and not who they control that person onto.
You are a Doctor. (Town Protective) You are a skilled medic using your knowledge to keep people alive.
You can heal one person each night. If they are attacked, they will not die. If your target is attacked, you will be informed that you have saved them and they will be informed that they were healed by a Doctor. You have the ability to heal yourself only once. The night you choose to use this ability, you will lose it afterwards even if you were not attacked.
You are a Bodyguard. (Town Protective) You are a trained and professional guard that now uses your skills to protect others from the Mafia.
You can guard one person each night. If they are attacked, both you and the attacker will die in their place. Your counterattack goes through night immunity. Your target will be informed that someone fought off their attacker. You will be informed that you guarded someone successfully. The attacker will be informed that a Bodyguard attacked them. You have the ability to use a bulletproof vest on yourself once. The night you use this ability, you will lose it regardless of if you were attacked or not. Whoever attacks you that night will be informed that you were night immune. If your target is attacked by multiple people, you will only kill one person and you can only guard them from one attack so they will still die unless a Doctor heals them. The order of importance in bodyguard target is: Neutral Killing > Mafia > Vigilante.
You are a Vigilante. (Town Killing) Tired of how slow the law is, you have decided to take justice into your own hands.
You can shoot to kill one person you think is guilty each night, but you are limited to 3 shots. You will be informed if your target is immune, and it will use up one of your shots. You have the ability to leave a Death Note when you choose to shoot someone. You cannot shoot anyone on Night 1. You can be controlled by a Witch to shoot on Night 1. If you shoot someone from the Town faction, you will be so overridden with guilt that you will lose your remaining bullets and die the next night. Choose carefully: if you shoot a Townperson, you will both die. You can also be killed by a Bodyguard.
You are a Veteran. (Town Killing) A former war hero, you have returned to a town of chaos. You have taken up arms to protect yourself.
You can choose to go on alert each night, but you are limited to 3 alerts. You will kill everyone who visits you while you are on alert, bypassing night immunity. While on alert, you are immune to harmful night actions such as being attacked. You are immune to being roleblocked while on alert. You have the ability to leave a Death Note if you kill someone while on alert. Choose carefully: You have great power with this ability, but you can cost the Town greatly if you alert poorly. Your role is unique. There can only be 1 Veteran at a time.
You are a Vampire Hunter. (Town Killing) Having studied vampires for as long as you can remember, you are determined to stop the Vampire rampage before it is too late.
Each night you may choose a player to visit. You will kill that player if they are a Vampire. If you choose the same target as the Vampires, the target will live for that night and be successfully converted. If a Vampire visits you, you will be informed of the visit and kill the Vampire even if you are roleblocked. You cannot be converted into a Vampire. When all vampires are dead, you will turn into a Vigilante with one bullet. Refer to the Vigilante role card in that case. This is irreversible, even if an Amnesiac remembers Vampire. Caution! You can be killed by Bodyguards! Your role is unique. There can only be 1 Vampire Hunter at a time.
You are an Escort. (Town Support) Rivaling the Consort in beauty, you use your skills to distract people for the Town.
You can roleblock one person each night. This prevents them from fulfilling their night action. Your target will be notified that they were roleblocked. You cannot be roleblocked. Choose carefully: While the Consort knows her teammates, you don't know yours. You may be roleblocking a townperson! If you roleblock a Serial Killer, they will attack you and you will be informed as such.
You are a Medium. (Town Support) (new) A powerful psychic that has figured out how to communicate with the dead, you use your powers to help the town.
Each night, you can choose one person from the Dead Chat to speak with. All conversation will be relayed by the host through one-on-one chats, so the medium’s identity will be unknown to the dead they choose to seance. The only rule in this conversation is not to discuss your identity, or the identities of other mediums. The conversation ends with the Night Phase, so the Medium must inform the host when they are ready for the Day Phase if they wish to end the night early. We will not assume a conversation is done until a Medium tells us. You can also choose not to seance if you prefer. The dead can choose to reject your seance. If this happens, you will not seance anyone at all that night. Once you die, you can choose to seance someone alive during the Day Phase and will then talk with them during the proceeding Night Phase. The chat will follow the same structure as a live seance, therefore the conversation will be held through the host. It is best to save this seance for someone you trust, as you only have one seance post-death. Just like a living seance, the person you choose to seance in death can choose to reject your seance. However, this will not waste your only seance.
Neutral Roles (NEW!) You are the Witch. (Neutral Evil) Bearing a grudge on the Town, you use your magical powers to destroy your enemies.
You win the game by being alive to see the Town lose. Each night, you can choose someone to control (excluding yourself) and another for the controlled player to use their ability on (INCLUDING yourself). You will not be informed of the end result of the controlling or if your target has an ability at all, but you will be informed of your controlled target's role. You have one immune shield which will make you automatically immune to a single attack. It will be used up the instant you are attacked without proper protection (i.e. a Doctor or Bodyguard on you), after which you lose your immunity. Attackers will be informed that you were immune. You are immune to being roleblocked. You appear as Not Suspicious to a Sheriff.
You must kill the Town. You win with the Vampires. You win with the Werewolves. You may spare anyone else.
You are a Vampire. (Neutral Chaos) A deadly creature of the night, your bite is capable of turning others into vampires like yourself...
Each night, you can vote on someone to bite. The person with the most votes from all living vampires will be targeted. If it is a tie, RNG will choose among the voted targets. The target will be converted into a vampire unless they were protected or are immune in some way. You will kill non-immune Mafia members if they are targeted. If your target is a Vampire Hunter, the Vampire Hunter will kill the vampire visiting them! The youngest vampire will visit the target unless they are roleblocked in some way, upon which no one can be visited. If a vampire bite succeeds, vampires must wait a night to bite another victim. This is to the exception of a failed bite - you can bite someone the next night. You appear as Not Suspicious to the Sheriff. You can communicate with your allies at night in the Vampire Chat as long as they are alive.
You win with other Vampires. You must kill the Town. You must kill the Werewolf. You may spare anyone else.
You are the Werewolf. (Neutral Killing) A seemingly normal human, you hold a great secret -- every full moon, you turn into a werewolf who wants everyone dead!
Every full moon (every other night -- even numbered nights), you become a werewolf! You can then choose to visit someone or stay home. You will perform a rampage at whoever’s house you visit - killing everyone who visits them as well. You can choose to stay home, upon which you will kill everyone who visits you. If you do not choose to perform a night action, you will automatically stay home. You can leave a Death Note. Your attack goes through night immunity UNLESS the target is protected by a Bodyguard, Doctor, or Jailor! If you are roleblocked, you will be forced to stay home and attack your roleblocker and any others who visit you. Alternatively, if you are jailed you will attack the Jailor and the Jailor’s visitors! You can only be detected by Sheriffs on full moons, otherwise you appear to be not suspicious to them. You are immune to night attacks. Anyone who attacks you will receive the message that you were immune. You will receive a message that you were attacked. Your role is unique. There can only be one werewolf at a time. The exception is once you die. An Amnesiac can choose to remember your role if they so choose.
You win with other Werewolves. You must kill the Town. You must kill the Vampires. You may spare anyone else
You are an Amnesiac. (Neutral Benign) After undergoing a terrible incident, you have forgotten who you are!
Each night, you can choose to attempt to remember the role of a dead player as long as it is not a unique Town role. You can only remember one role, after which you will become that role. Refer to the role card for it in that case. There will be an announcement the next day that an Amnesiac has remembered whatever role you chose. You win the game by choosing a role and winning as that role. You will lose the game if you die before remembering a role or if the game ends before you choose a role.
You are a Mercenary. (Neutral Benign) Guided by self-interest above such things as bonds and attachments, you have been hired as a sellsword to keep your target safe.
You start the game with one target. That target can be anything except a Jester or Executioner. You will be told who your target is, but your target will not know they have a Mercenary. Each night, you can choose to stand guard outside your target’s house and prevent them from being killed. You can stop all attacks, except unstoppable attacks such as a Jailor’s execution or a Jester’s haunting. You can only stand guard three times for your target. Your target will be informed that a mercenary stood guard at their door. Both you and your target will be informed if they were attacked/ If you get a new target, the number of times you can stand guard at their door is not reset, so if you used all three guards and get a new target you will not be able to stand guard for them at all! At night, you can also choose to kill one person who voted your target, but only if your target wasn’t lynched. Revenge is sweet, isn’t it? This does not bypass night immunity. You may only use this ability twice per target. If you choose to kill someone, you will not be able to guard your target the same night. If your target dies, you have two days to find a new target, otherwise you will kill yourself for your failure as a mercenary. You can offer anyone (besides a Jester or Executioner) a contract during the day phase but they can refuse. If you try to contract a Jester or Executioner, they will automatically refuse. If you fail to protect two targets, you will kill yourself and lose the game.
If you die while you have a target, you will lose one chance to stand guard (i.e. if you died with all 3 guards, you can only stand guard twice). Your new spiritual powers will also prevent your target from being voted up the day after you stand guard for them. However, you can no longer kill people who voted your target.

SEPTEMBER GAME Theme: Town of Salem In true “Town of Salem” fashion, there will be no citizens this round - everyone will be playing a power role! In this chaos, will the Town, Mafia, or even the Serial Killer pull through? There aren’t any new rules, only many new roles - including potentially Agent, Spy, and the Neutral Faction. The Town Power roles will be tested here no matter what.
The game will start this Friday 9/8/2017 at 7 PM CST (subject to change).
News:- Due to the lack of balance of last game's role list, the Neutral faction has been added! The neutral faction is full of various roles with different ways of winning, so be careful on what roles you can trust!
- New roles per faction: (Mafia) Agent and Janitor, (Town) Jailor, Retributionist, Mayor, Paparazzi, Spy, Medium, and lastly (Neutral) Serial Killer, Jester, Executioner, Witch, and Mercenary.
- You may now whisper 6 times per day instead of 5, but the character count (200) remains.
- Jailors CANNOT be detected by Lookouts or the Paparazzi, so do not auto-execute a Lookout or Paparazzi that didn't spot you!
- If a mercenary's target dies, an announcement will be made by me, the host, that the Mercenary is seeking a new contract. Anyone can ask for the Merc's services (except, obviously, the Jester and Executioner), but it is only up to the Mercenary who to contract. Their target can still reject the contract though.
- The Dead Chat will no longer be allowed to see the role list, in case of a Retributionist or Medium.
- Escorts, Consorts, and Jailors that roleblock a Serial Killer will be killed by them and will receive the special message "You were attacked by the Serial Killer you roleblocked!"
- Players will be notified if they were controlled by a Witch.
- A Witch cannot make a Retributionist waste their only revive, but they can prevent it!
- A Witch cannot make a Veteran use their alerts, but they can die to a Veteran on alert! Passive roles without a visiting action, such as a Jailor or Retributionist, cannot be controlled into a Veteran on alert.
- A Witch CAN control a Vigilante to shoot on Night 1! This is the only way a Vigilante can shoot Night 1.
- If a Godfather is controlled, the Mafioso will attack the Witch's chosen target. If a Mafioso is controlled, the Godfather's target takes priority over the Witch's target unless there is no Godfather or the Godfather was roleblocked.
- A Lookout will see visitors if the Witch forces their controlled target onto the Lookout's target.
- Days and Nights have been lengthened (4 and 3 days, respectively) but can still be shortened. This is to account for school starting again.

Today, as the townspeople - all skilled workers - gathered in their town square for another hard day of work, they came upon a corpse... and a bloody note attached. In unrecognizable handwriting, the letter declared:
Prepare to surrender control of your town to us.
They had no idea who it was from, all they knew was that it was a serious threat... from one of townspeople themselves. Traitors among them, they glanced at each other suspiciously. A guillotine loomed nearby. They would root out those who would do them harm before they were rooted out themselves, this they declared to themselves as the day officially began.
48 hours remain in Day 1. It will end on 9/10/17 at around 7 PM CDT, or unless a majority vote is reached. The mafia can chat at this time, but this is the ONLY day phase where the Mafia Chat will be open. Do not send night actions in yet, Mafia.

As the sun set amidst passive-aggressive glares between townsmembers, it was agreed that taking action so early would only hurt. The town retured to their houses for the evening, mulling over the threatening note they had found as they prepared to put their skills to use to ensure their survivals... 72 hours remain in Night 1. It will end on 9/11/17 at around 10 PM CDT or unless a majority vote is reached.
The mafia chat is open at this time. Also tagging to let you know the game has started: VIXENCLAW, Sparkly, ⌭ ᑕᖇᑌIᑎᑎ ᔕᗩOᒪ ⌭, riaSorry about that, should have tagged earlier!

We are currently looking for one substitute! Please let us know if you'd be interested! It was a restless night for the townspeople, quite literally, as they anxiously awaited the news that morning would bring. With both a mafia and a serial killer out there, which of their own might die? Most of them couldn't even sleep with the endless possibilites that tonight might be their last night alive. Questions ran through their minds as they gathered around the square for another town meeting, only for one sharp-eyed townie to scream suddenly, “Oh my god! It’s a massacre!” at the sight of not one, nor two, but three corpses, all situated at one person’s home. Juniper Bush, Ocean Zebra, and Sparkly all lay dead in a pile, littered with bullets. It seems they were all killed by a Veteran on alert. A four-way party at one person’s house with bloody consequences for all but one. unfortunately for the visitors. Looking on, the town noticed Ocean Zebra holding a gun in their hand, and Sparkly sanitation tools. The veteran had killed Ocean Zebra the Mafioso and Sparkly the Janitor, but next to them lay Juniper the Escort, sadly. Other than that bloodbath, it seems no one else died last night. A Death Note could be found near the corpses, although no Last Wills could be recovered: "( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I refuse to die n1 again! To any town that visited me: gdi why visit the loud person I only wanna kill the non-town you know (??? I am sorry you died I will repay you with hopefully a victory. To any non-town that visited me: I'm not sorry and I may do it again. :> In the case that mafia visits me: I'll reveal myself since mafia knows who I am. Here's some BS statistics for you so I feel less bad about killing a town: There are 13 players alive. 2 players will die each night unless Maf and SK hit each other, chances of that happening this early is slim to none. If both Maf and SK successfully kill tonight, and both are town, that's only 6 town left and 11 alive. That would essentially be LYLO (especially if the Town Power died!!!) unless Town still has killing power at night (via me or BG or etc). Btw, our priority should be the Serial Killer so we don't have 2 kills per night. But, if there's more Mafia than Town, we should prioritize Mafia and Serial Killer knows that they need to kill Mafia to win too. There are 3 mafia, up to two can visit me (GF/Mafioso and RM). The SK can also visit me. Idk the NE, but if they're Witch they can also visit me. I have a 1/10 chance of being picked by Maf and 1/12 by SK and Witch. That percentage is higher because there's possibly two visiting mafia roles visiting different people each night. Plus I was pretty vocal last game, so the chances of me being targeted are even higher. Also, it's impossible for me to kill a Town Power. Soo.... statistically speaking, YOLO (unless we have a ret...?)!(edited) In case you can't tell, this is a bunch of BS I made up to feel less guilty if I kill town. Also I wouldn't normally alert n1 but because I feel like a target, I will. Now you know a Vet exists as TK. If there's also a vig out there, you better prove yourself but don't random-shoot like when watery moon shot Dolce when she was jailor. Just saying. - Forever your war vet, you prob already guessed who." 96 hours remain in Day 2. It will end on 9/15/2017 at around 10 PM CDT or unless a majority vote is reached.
With 9 players alive, that means 5 votes are needed to end the day early.

We are currently looking for one substitute! Please let us know if you'd be interested! After the morning's bloodshed and a lengthy and accusation-filled discussion led by a very talkative veteran, many of the remaining townspeople turned to point their fingers… at Frosty, a supposed defender of justice. No matter what Frosty said in rebuttal, the town was not having any of it. “Even if you die, your death gives us information,” they reasoned. It seemed this was just not Frosty’s day. As they were led to the executioner’s stand, they lamented in their last moments, “I should have known they were the veteran. Looks like I’ll be joining you, my fellow mafia.” Indeed, it seems that the town’s instincts were correct. Frosty was the Godfather. We were able to recover a last will from Frosty's house: it was a terrible run I'm not good at being bad btw I wasn't attacked the first night 72 hours remain in Night 2. It will end on 9/17/17 at around 9:30 PM CDT or a few hours after all night actions are submitted.

It was a restless night for the town, the loud veteran’s orders in their minds. Would the remaining Serial Killer see through their plans? Who would die tonight? They couldn’t know for sure. As they gathered in the square for yet another meeting, they noticed an abandoned house – the home of Mia, who had simply packed up and left town suddenly, it seems. All that was left behind by him was an open book of spells, with the page opened to some sort of Resurrection dark magic. Mia, it seemed, was the Retributionist of the town. An unfortunate loss. On the other hand, there was one dead body in the town square today - that of Dandy, who seemed to have been executed by the Jailor. There was no last will or death note to be found. In a stroke of good judgment on the jailor’s part, and unfortunate luck for the town-aligned executioner, Dandy was the Serial Killer.
September game over - Town Wins! AKA "Well, that was fast."
Role List: Town Power (Jailor, Retributionist, or Mayor)- Wowowooo the Jailor Town Investigative (Sheriff, Lookout, or Spy)- Silverlynxx the Spy Town Protective (Doctor or Bodyguard)- Vixenclaw the Doctor Town Killing (Vigilante or Veteran)- Shortstop the Vigilante Random Town (Any non-unique town role)- Juniper Bush the Escort Random Town- watery moon the Lookout Random Town- Capri the Veteran Random Town - Mia the Retributionist Godfather- Frosty Mafioso- Ocean Zebra Random Mafia - Sparkly the Janitor Serial Killer- Dandy Neutral Evil- Kiwi Cheesecake the Executioner (Target: Shortstop)
Graveyard: Juniper Bush (killed by Veteran n1) Ocean Zebra (killed by Veteran n1) Sparkly (killed by Veteran n1) Frosty (killed by Town d2) Dandy (killed by Jailor n2)

OCTOBER GAME Theme: HALLOWEEN!
In celebration of Halloween, October will pit the Town (with a Van Helsing - I mean, Vampire Hunter) against the Vampires, Werewolf, and Witch! While the Witch will be working with any anti-Town faction they can find, the Vampires and Werewolf will be hunting each other down just as much as the Town is. The game will start in about a week 10/7/2017 at 7 PM CST (subject to change).
News:- New roles per faction: (Town) Vampire Hunter and (Neutral) Vampire, Werewolf, and Amnesiac. Note, some roles have been removed this round!
- You may whisper 6 times per day instead of 5, but the character count (200) remains.
- IT IS GAMETHROWING TO GIVE UP AT ANY TIME AND ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE CONVERTED INTO A VAMPIRE, EVEN IF YOU HAVE NO CHANCE OF WINNING. If anyone does this, there will be no more vampire games.
- Vampires will kill the the Witch if the Witch has already lost their vest. Be careful of killing one of your only allies, vampires! However, night immune roles such as the Werewolf will be neither killed nor converted. Likewise, Vampires are not immune!
- Any townie except the Vampire Hunter can be converted! Just because someone was confirmed once does not mean they are still confirmed!
- Vampires can only bite every other night if their bite goes through! The youngest vampire will be sent to attack.
- If the Bodyguard guards the Werewolf the night the Werewolf stays in, that will count as the Werewolf attacking themselves and they will die to the Bodyguard.
- The Jailor/Escort/Consort will not be directly informed if they were attacked by a werewolf they roleblocked!
- If the Bodyguard guards a passive target that was visiting the Werewolf’s target, the Bodyguard will kill the Werewolf!
- If the Werewolf targets a Veteran on alert, both the Veteran and the Werewolf will die.
- Days and Nights have been lengthened (4 and 3 days, respectively) but can still be shortened. This is to account for school starting again.

It had only been a few days since the rise of the Harvest Moon, signalling the Autumnal Equinox. As the days slowly began to shorten and the cold picked up, the Town worked harder than ever. However, strange things had recently started to happen ever since the full moon. At night, the townspeople swore they could hear the howling of a lone wolf, even though they lived nowhere near any forests where wolves prowled. During the day, they noticed some people with what appeared to be bite marks in their necks. All of it became clear one day when they received a mysterious letter written in what could only be blood.
"Beware what dare crawls up your sleeve. For 'tis near the night All Hallow's Eve."
What could this mean? It seemed to the Town that, unless they acted fast, the supernatural beings were intent on taking over the town - but they wouldn't let that happen! Not without a fight! 48 hours remain in Day 1. It will end on 10/9/2017 at around 7:30 PM CDT, or unless a majority vote is reached. With 11 players alive, this means 6 votes. You may not vote for the first 12 hours, to give everyone a chance to check in.
