This is not a game now,
Game Onnobody can save you
We tread the same waves
introduction
× Your head is pounding. Your body feels like it was hit by a semi and then ran over by a train. Your mouth is dry as a desert. Your ears are ringing.
Everything is miserable and you have absolutely no idea what happened. You go to reach over on your end-table by your bedside for your phone, but your hand reaches only through bare, empty air. You reach and fumble until you fall out of your bed onto the hard cement floor, only adding to your pain. Wait a second-
Reality check.
You open your eyes and see an unfamiliar place around you. It's like... a jail cell, but... worse. You have a white mattress bed with a black metal frame, gray cement ceiling, walls and floor. There's a small, barred window up at the top of the back wall, letting in sunshine. The "wall" in front of you has vertical metal bars with a sliding metal door and a barred emergency light right above it. There's a toilet with a white curtain for privacy and then a sink next to it. This isn't your home, this isn't-
Wait.
What... was your home? Your family? You had friends... right? Panic begins to settle in. You couldn't remember! There's no memory of anything? You rush to your feet to grab at the bars and call for help, that there must be something wrong here when... you realize that your hands are... not your hands. Your body tenses up and you feel muscles that you are surely not used to. You look backwards.
Wings. Tail. Claws. Scales. You rush to the toilet and look at your reflection.
A long, split tongue. Sharp teeth. Horns. And a pair of reptilian eyes looking back at you in shock. What the heck is going on? You didn't remember much, but surely you were human! This wasn't normal! This... this wasn't... How could this... just? Wait a second. There's... something around your throat. A... collar? Why a collar?
You look over at the opposite cell from yours and see a darker figure. His shirt is torn and his cell is covered in claw marks, chips, dents, even a few scorch marks. You notice he has a long black scaled tail, but nothing else seems out of the normal for him. He has his back towards you, sitting on his knees. His black shaggy hair, unevenly cut, is put up in a small tiny ponytail, higher on the back of his head, a long white wrapping of his shirt being the tie to keep his hair up.
"H-Hello...?" you call out, wary and afraid of this whole situation. Panic, fear, confusion. What the heck was going on here? The figure does not answer. He does not even move or show that he heard you. You call out to him again. Or rather, anyone. Once again, no answer.
"Please... I-I don't know what's going on. I-I-" you begin.
"You have not yet proven yourself worthy of my time." a lower, almost growling voice came from across your cell. The man in the other cell.
"Excuse me...?"
"You are in a testing area. You are new. And most likely, you will die. Prove yourself with the will to live, and I will give you my time. Otherwise, be silent and wail about at your own expense," his voice seems almost a little harsh. But he does not move. Upon closer inspection of his body, upon the skin that you can see, even with his tail, there are scars all over. Bite marks, claw marks and.... all sorts of things. He also appears to have a collar.
Despite trying to get his attention again and get him to explain, he is silent and completely ignoring you. Eventually, you give up trying conversation and curl up on your mattress, curling your wings around your body as well as your tail. Frightened. Confused. Wiped clean of any memory. Alone. You have no idea what's going on here. And you don't seem to be getting any answers from anyone.
That is... until you're chosen for a Game.
And that's when you see the dark eyes of the man across from your cell for the first time.
Those eyes... that's the look of a killer.
"Game On."

about
× Welcome to a side of society that no one knows about. A testing lab created by the United Nations themselves, as a weapon for war. To research biological weapons, to see if they can create these beasts, these... terrifying creatures of mass destruction. Far beneath the surface in London, England, is where these test subjects live. Plucked from the streets across the world, from children to adults, people go missing at random and nobody is ever able to find them. It's an every day thing, people always go missing. And not everyone shows up again. These people are not dead, not yet, at least.
First, everyone goes through the painful process of being tested on. Getting their DNA altered down to the tiniest fibers of their being. 63% of people don't live past that stage, over half of those tested on to get their DNA altered end up dying. Those that live have to go through the painful process of their bodies altering into that of what they were created into. Wings, limbs changing, scales, bone alteration and all sorts of things. Only 22% of those who make it to the physical alteration live past that. To put it bluntly, it's a horrible, painful process that has a high chance of killing you.
And those of which that do survive the change? Their memories are completely wiped clean. They won't remember the procedures they went through, they won't remember their friends, they won't remember their family completely at all, they won't remember who they are, what their name was, where they came from, their childhood, high school years. All of that, wiped clean from their minds and gone. And with that, they're thrown into a testing cell, much like a jail cell, and observed twice a day, being fed three times a day, their meals altering to see what they can eat and what they can't.
All of the surviving test subjects are given shock collars, or what appear to be shock collars. They cannot be cut off nor bitten off and are next to impossible to take off. These collars are more than shock collars, they are collars that can send signals to that subject's brain and thus, make them under the control of whomever controls the collar. The only time these collars are taken off is when they're brought back for testing in the Labs.
About once every two weeks, once every week, give or take, a subject that survives is brought back for extensive research. Their stamina, how fast they can run, how fast they can fly, how long they can fly, how long they can hold their breath, any allergies or new things in their DNA, how strong they are, how resistant to being hurt. The list goes on and on, and it's not a pretty sight at all.
You see, there are stories of these monstrous creatures that ruled the skies and burned entire villages to the ground. Beasts that were feared and looked up to, depending on the culture. These creatures can not be created by themself. It had been tried with animals, but they didn't have the intelligence that the scientists wanted. And then they thought of a one man army. A creature that appeared human, but could level forests, bring entire cities to their knees. A biological weapon of destruction. Project DRAGON.
Destruction Resource AmonG Opposing Nations.
These test subjects cannot be killed through normal means. While blades and bullets leave scars upon their skin, they cannot be killed that way. Cut off limbs are regrown, wounds quickly healed. Immune to fire and heat as well as the cold, able to swim underwater for hours at a time, creatures that have immense strength, stamina, agility and speed. They are the ultimate biological weapon of war. Wings to fly with, tails to lash out with, claws that cut through rock and teeth combined with jaw strength enough to break and shatter bones. These creatures were made to kill and destroy.
But, among this testing, is a horrible thing called a "Game". Where test subjects, in the course of three days, are put through three tests. The final one is the worst; where they have to fight to kill one another or fight until the other cannot stand any longer. Not all subjects are perfected like the top five are. Some can't regrow limbs, some die with broken spines. Being choked is a way for every test subject to die, of course. It shows skill, speed, strength and how well they can fight against their own species, in case that another nation or two have the same idea as them or even steal their biological weapons.
This is Project DRAGON.

rules
× follow the forum and ghost rules
this isn't that hard to understand. there are rules on this site that we have to follow. we all agreed to them when we decided to join. so show some respect to the people who have decided to dedicate their time on this site and make life easier for everyone and make sure to follow these rules. really not that hard to do.
× be active
when you join a role-play, you are expected to dedicate some time into this. so please, do us all a favor. be active. like, just be here once a day, once every two days. that would make me pretty happy. if you can't keep up with this, you can just tell me and you can drop it. it's not fun waiting around for someone who will never come back and isn't interested anymore. if you aren't here for four days, but you're posting elsewhere, you'll get a warning, five days and you ignore us, you and your character(s) will be removed permanently from this role-play. if you disappear offline for a ten days , you will be removed, but you will be allowed to rejoin.
× this role-play is semi-advanced
semi-advanced, in my terms means about a paragraph in length minimum, which should be five sentences or more. proper grammar and english are required, though the "proper" grammar and spelling may be different, depending on the country that you live within. no text talk while in role-play and all that fun stuff. you should know the drill. this should be pretty easy, as your character has six senses. so use them in your reply.
× role-play rules
there are three main rules for role-playing in groups. as someone who's been rping for six years, i know a thing or two on what's annoying and all that. for those of you new, let me explain the three things that most role-players hate. god-modding. this is when you make your character over-powered, completely untouchable, way too fast and way too strong. true, these characters are half dragon and are extremely strong compared to human standards. however, even they have their limitations. no one is more powerful than another, everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. power-playing. this is when you take control of someone else's character(s) and/or make a choice for them. you can say your character swung at another person's character, but y o u can't connect the hit unless it's discussed prior and okay with the person you're roleplaying with. spot-lighting. this role-play isn't all about you and your character(s). everyone will have their time to shine, but don't take the spotlight when it's not your turn. that's rude and really annoying when you overly dramatize your character and make it so that they're either way too weak or things like that. don't be overly abusive to your character for no reason and complain about if no one pays any attention to them. you gotta have everyone interact. everyone's been to heck and back, your character isn't going to be any different.
× the golden rule
treat others how you wish to be treated. that means no bashing someone, no trolling on this thread, being respectful, supportive and kind. don't shove your opinions down someone's throat and just be respectful and kind. it's not that hard to do. be nice and then others will treat you nicely. if you're rude and disrespectful, i WILL call you out on it. if you're straight up gonna start a fight, i will ban you from this thread and ignore you. i won't tolerate it.
× character restrictions
when you create your character, you have to have four flaws. each character is based off a certain dragon species from "how to train your dragon". so use those guidelines. every character has one thing that they can't change about themselves. make sure that you read that character and whom they're like and what dragon they're like. i'm a total nerd for that series, so any information on a dragon species you need, i will be more than happy to give you.
× keep it appropriate
be careful with how far you take the gore and romance, as there is a limitation to PG-13. so try and keep the more detailed things out of it. i really wouldn't want anyone getting in trouble and i really hope that this thread wouldn't get removed. though i'm not sure if that would really happen, i don't want to stress the luck of being here. also, a note that this thread is LGBT+ friendly.
× have fun!!
