Welcome to Mint's Curse Marathon Page! Well, after that...random introduction from our...guest, we shall now welcome you to what is and will become Mint's page to dump anything and everything 'CURSE' related. You want to know what CURSE is? It's a fan fiction by Shadowface, that is celebrating an anniversary. What do I plan to do with this page? Well, whatever randomness I can think of, probably. If the banner wasn't a hint...
As for who is is the main banner, in the background, from left to right: Shadowface -- our amazing main character Eaglefrost -- main character (sort of) and Darkmoon -- famous minor character? something cool like that. Our 'guest' need not be mentioned.
Why don't the CURSE characters not look how they are 'supposed' to? Or, to be more accurate, how they are said to look like in the book? That's cause I headcannon everything. ;-) You've all got to deal with that. I will not stop...promise.

Random Writing Goes Here? Why Not!
However, what is the definition of 'random'?
I'm dumping a random, late-night statement here:
A blessing, yet a curse
a dream, but only worse
Probably will end up as a Curse poem or something.
Free writing story! No plans (alright, maybe a little), no editing (that you will see *evil laugh*), oh starclan, no kidding:
(Also, it's a dark room....)
Smoke and Shadows P1
Smokepaw shook out his fun, not understanding why he had to go on a hunting patrol when he was a medicine cat. But Blackstar was Blackstar, which meant he was the leader and had to be followed. ShadowClan didn't have a lot of cats, so was it any wonder that everyone had to help? Smokepaw guessed not, but it was rather tedious to be walking through all these pine needles when he was used to the forest of ThunderClan and of the moors of WindClan. He supposed he'd get used to it, however. This was his clan, wasn't it?
A yowl rang out, and the apprentice flinched. Head turning, his eyes widened as he saw the crumpled form of Morningpaw a few steps in front of him. But when he rushed forward, the other warriors in the patrol not far to either side, he realized that the other apprentice was fine.
It was the cat on top of her that wasn't. Smokepaw didn't know where she had come from, but one second no one had been draped over Morningpaw and a second later... someone was just there. It was a tortoiseshell, ribs jutting through her fur, though it looked like she had started to fill out a little. Long fur, which was unusual in anything other than kittypets. Smokepaw looked up, scanning the trees above him. Where had she come from? Was this an ambush? Surely the other clans wouldn't be foolish enough to send an apprentice who fell out of trees, now would they? And one that got knocked out on impact.
"Hey," growled one of the warriors. "Medicine cat. Shouldn't you be looking her over?" Smokepaw blinked. Yes, of course. He really should look the mysterious cat over. He sniffed her a couple of times only to hear a rough snort. "Morningpaw, you mousebrain. She's still under that pile of fur."
The 'pile of fur' groaned and rolled off our apprentice just then, clearly waking up. Morningpaw looked dazed, and as if she'd almost suffocated under the long-furred she-cat, but otherwise fine. She shook out her fur and then turned her gaze to the mystery cat. Her eyes widened a little and she licked her lips. "Whose she?" she asked in a half chirp. Smokepaw shook his head, confused. "I have not idea."
The cat, her fur spiking a little as she finally opened her eyes, turned to look at us. Smokepaw's eyes widened further at the deep, deep color of her eyes. It caused a shiver to run up and down his spine, though he didn't know why.
"Where am I?" asked the she-cat. Her voice was a little husky and deep, as if she either wasn't used to talking or was just the cat with the type of build that enhanced that type of voice.
Smokepaw raised an eyebrow. "You did just fall on Morningpaw. Shouldn't you know what clan you're in?"
"PineClan?" hazarded the apprentice. The warrior beside Smokepaw snorted (no, Smokepaw didn't actually know his name. It wasn't like he'd committed them all to memory just yet). "Was that a joke, kit?" he asked. The she-cat's fur fluffed up further and she seemed to be running her paws through the pine needles, as if she couldn't believe what was under her pawpads. "It should be cold," she muttered, almost to faint for Smokepaw to hear.
"It's leafbare," he pointed out. "This is as cold as it gets."
P2
They took the probably delusional apprentice back to their camp. Of course, it was impossible that she had just appeared out of nowhere, so everyone but Smokepaw and Morningpaw just seemed to accept the fact that she must have fallen out of a tree. She had cat scent all over her, so when she said ‘clan’ maybe she really was from one, but not one that any of the other cats in the patrol could pick out. Which was just as impossible as Morningpaw loudly stating that the cat had appeared through an opening in the sky. Blackstar descended into the main part of camp as all the warriors surround the apprentice – Shadowpaw – separated to reveal her to the leader. From the brief look that came to Blackstar’s face, Smokepaw wasn’t sure whether he was assuming there was a ThunderClan invasion or whether this was just a random rogue. Shadowpaw tilted her chin upwards to look confident and to keep her eyes on the leader. “Who are you?” he asked. The introduction is repeated, Shadowpaw with her fur slightly bushed out, but otherwise no outward sign of distress. Blackstar can’t seem to decide what to make of her, but he too seems to think there is something a little bit off with her head. He turned Smokepaw and dipped his head. “She’ll be taken to Smokepaw’s den and he’ll … look after her.” The silent ‘until we can figure out what to do with her’ hung in the air, painfully obvious to all assembled ShadowClan cats. Smokepaw dipped his head in return, shooting a glare at his paws. Why must he deal with her? He had no more idea what to do with her than anyone else did. However, he did turn on his heels and motioned with his tail for Shadowpaw to follow him. For a second, he thought she was going to refuse, possible adamantly, but she swallowed down all of that and trailed him to his den. He gave her an examination, to the best of his knowledge, but found nothing wrong with her. She was underfed, but not enough for hallucinations or the like. It made her story all the more amazing. Smokepaw sat back on his haunches, ears twitching. Alright. Shadowpaw looked at him with piercing eyes, but said nothing. She’d remained quiet for a very long time. It took Smokepaw turning away for her to murmur, “You believe me.” It was a statement. One that Smokepaw only answered with a flick of his tail, indicating the spare nest. “You’ll sleep there tonight.” ‘Tonight’, was the word he’d used. Like he didn’t expect her to be there for another.
P3
And she wasn’t there the next day, or rather, before dawn Smokepaw heard her get to her feet and sneak out before the camp woke up. His head rose as soon as she was out of the den and slowly he moved after her. If she hadn’t expected someone to be paying attention to her than she must be really naïve. Yet, the world outside was silent. He looked toward the entrance, but he couldn’t see her characteristic pelt. Instead he followed her scent trail that led in the opposite direction. She wasn’t familiar with camp, but he could already tell her mind-set. Head for the boundaries and look for weak places. He sighed, but quietly, and followed her. He found the hole she’d widened in the side of the camp barrier and easily followed her through. He was basically Warrior age by now, but she was a big apprentice. She was waiting for him. Maybe not so naïve as all that then. She flicked her ear when she saw him, not really meeting his eyes. “I figured,” she said quietly. “That if you knew where I was going you wouldn’t raise the alarm.” Smokepaw continued to pad forward, hardly paying attention to her. Trying to not meet her eyes. “Who says I didn’t?” Shadowpaw didn’t rise to that statement. Instead she fell into step beside Smokepaw. “Do you know where I’m going?” “Back to the rip in the sky?” Smokepaw hazarded. “And no … I don’t want to know where it goes to. I have a feeling that it’ll be better that we’re out of each other’s lives as soon as possible.” She closed her evergreen eyes in what looked like pain, but Smokepaw pretended not to see again. The forest is quiet at this hour. Both of the apprentices are quiet until they make it to the place that Shadowpaw appeared. For the first time Smokepaw expressed concern, “Will you be alright? Shadowpaw cast him a quick glance. “As long as I can find the portal again I’ll be fine.” Smokepaw didn’t understand the words, but sniffed around to try and find the faint tracks of the patrol. He looked up when he found where they’d been and the patch of still-smashed ground where Shadowpaw had landed on Morningpaw. “Here,” he said. Shadowpaw came over, sniffing the place, before looking up, at the branches above her. “That will work,” she murmured. She ran at the nearest tree, scaling the thick trunk with a swiftness that had Smokepaw gapping. Who was this cat? “See ya around, apprentice!” she said, more cheerful now she thought she’d found a way home. Both of them knew they wouldn’t see each other again, but the farewell was answered with, “Until next time.” Smokepaw knew that letting Shadowpaw go would give him an earful, but he also had a dreadful feeling keeping her here, by force no less, would be worse. From the high branches Shadowpaw jumped. She never hit the ground.

Equally Random Art Goes Here. This is Way too Much Freedom...
Save
I drew in Curse colors!
So the middle (green) one is Shadowface and the red (bottom) one is Darkmoon, and the blue one is Eagle. The rest is whoever you want, I couldn't remember any Cursed cats nor could I remember my headcannons for any of the character I thought would fit the colors. And according to ◽🐷✾❣◽●𝐈𝐫𝐢𝐬●◽❣✾🐷◽ , they look like fish. Whoops. xD She helped with the background, by the way, so credit to her.
Something else I did in art class:

Anything Else I Can Think of. Which Probably Wont Be As Much As I Think...
save
Hey! Something going here? Yep. I've had some songs that I've listen to while reading Curse and these are them. I just think they have that 'Curse' theme. Fun fact: 90% are Nightcore. Whoops?
--War Paint - Fletcher (Young Bombs Remix)
The original has a slow tempo, but NightCored (how I originally found it) really speeds it up. I think it really reflects Shadowface.
--Battle Cry - Beth Crowley
Either fits Shadowface or Darkmoon (or both) save
Headcannons!
If 'Curse' was in modern America and humanized:
--Highschool-- Darkmoon would be that tough PE who'd train you into the ground, but after class she'd be the type to buy you dinner (and then gracefully tell you in detail what you were doing wrong). Honestly, the whole class hates her when school's in session, but secretly thinks she's pretty cool after class. Has an iphone that she plays games on between classes. One student actually once asked her if she'd play a video game with him. She beat him 10 to 1. No ones dared to challenge her again.
Shadowface would be the one who likes Biology and the Sciences. Carries around books a lot of the time, but doesn't like the weight and how immovable a backpack or bag is, so she carries them around loosely. Likes hanging out with her close friends, but stays in the corner when it comes to new groups. If a group project is assigned, she ends up doing the whole thing herself, just because she doesn't want to talk openly with her classmates.
Rushstorm's the helpful one. The tutor for the younger students. In class, he raises his hand a lot and most people generally like him. He's cool to hang out with and a lot of people find him 'safe' to stay around, unlikely to want to get you in trouble or have you ditch class. Little awkward when it comes to dating, but give him his friends and he'll put a smile on your face at once. When he was diagnosed with terminal cancer, he was pulled from school. Students continued to visit him at his house and later the hospital. He was greatly missed.
Eaglefrost is that boy with all the power. Get's passing grades in class, though has yet to get that longed for A+. He's the popular boy, more suited in the social department than he is in sports, like a lot of his friends. He will participate in games, but likes cheering from the sidelines. Shadowface helps him with his schoolwork and they end up staying up late watching whatever movies are on TV. Likes to read advice columns in newspapers, just to see what people answer with.
Ospreypaw was that cute little nut. Looked like a popular girl, but when you talked to her, you realized she has a sharp and biting personality. The type to stand up to the bullies. When the class was informed of her death in a car accident, it was discovered that she'd been helping the Math class with their homework and that she'd been giving advise to some of the younger kids who'd been having trouble getting used to a new school. A lot of kids wished they'd gotten to know her better. You can just imagine her leaning against a wall, looking at you with a sour expression.

Credit to me for the layout. All art is also mine. Characters...are owned by their respective owners. Watch out. Characters and owners may bite.
Alright, I'm supposed to link to my works. Right? RIGHT? Right. Glad we agree. Problem. What are we considering 'my work'? My fan fictions? My art? My OTW works? Sooo...lets be slightly glad that this is getting its own (sorta) post.
Most relevant to the WFF to least relevant: Where There is Smoke (my AU off of the first Warriors series. It answers questions like: what if Tigerstar had won? as well as other.) Mortality (My finished AU on The Last Hope.) The Game (My one-shot headquarters for all one-shots in this series.) My Art Dump (You'll find everything here. I update it about every month with what I make/post in that month.) Poisoning the Sea (my comic, connected with the Game.) Thieves Museum (OTW writing for my RP.) Kid's Notebook (Our...uh...guests sort of diary.) My second, more specialized Art Dump. Focuses on one character.
