Sorry this doesn't look great. I'm always on mobile and don't know how to do anything but bold, italicize, and center. Hey guys! Feel free to call me Ari or Ariat or whatever else you can come up with. So, I've been hit by a brainstorm of many new plots. I figured I'd put them up here an see if anyone's interested. If you aren't interested in these, I'm also always up for a PJO plot or anything really except supernatural or historical stuff. I don't have many rules except the basics like forum rules and no perfect characters. I'd like partners that will post a minimum of three paragraphs per response, although I'm totally comfortable typing way more as well. I'd also prefer PM but I'm not totally against making a new thread either and the bolder plots are the ones I'm most interested in. I'm looking forward to meeting new people!

1x1 This is pretty self explanatory. The plots here are between me and one other person. We will each have one main character and possibly one or two side characters depending on the plot Banished Post Apocalyptic In a nuclear wasteland, A has been raised in relative safety. They grew up in either a town or a bunker where there's always been something to eat and walls to protect them from the predators of the wasteland. B has grown up on their own, learning how to survive in a place where danger lurks around every corner. A, as a young adult, has been banished from their bunker. They go on a quest to get a piece needed for their water filter in another town, hoping to be allowed back into their bunker. Shortly after leaving, A is attacked by B. After getting B to hear them out and assuring B that A is not a threat, A recruits B to be their partner on this quest, promising payment and the safety of a real home when they're finished. B agrees, knowing they could begin a better life, but the two begin to bond as they face the dangers of the wasteland. I'm good with either gender. Note: Can also be multi character plot. We'd just add a character for each of us A: Willow Fredericks, York Henley (Ariat) B: name (ValkoinenLeuka)
Research Gone Wrong Action A is a young author. After publishing their first book at the age of 16, they were surprised to see that their trilogy became huge. Now that their trilogy is beginning to fade from the public eye, A begins research for their next book. To do that, they begin to shadow B, an old friend from high school or college. Now, I'm thinking B has a somewhat dangerous job (maybe a cop?) or end up in a dangerous situation, we'd have to discuss that, but I've got a couple ideas. A: Kayla Martin (Ariat) B: Male (name)

Multi-Character These plots are also going to be between me and one other person. In these, however, we'll both have multiple main characters. Childsplay Comedy A group of 4 siblings are stuck taking care of babies when Brother 1 finds himself in charge of his infant twins. The problem is that none of them have childcare experience. Brother 1: Chase Thompson (Ariat) Brother 2: name Thompson Sister 1: Emma Thompson (Ariat) Sister 2: name Thompson
Camp Haywood Modern Day Realistic A group of summer camp counselors learn that their beloved camp that they've attended their entire lives is about to shut down due to lack of money. The counselors scheme and fundraise and do whatever they need to in order to save their camp. Boy 1: Jace Fairfield (Ariat) Girl 1: Mia Walsh (Ariat) Boy 2: Girl 2:

Group These plots are for a group of probably 3-4 people with 1 or 2 main characters each. Hidden Oaks Mystery Our characters are a group of friends on a road trip or driving somewhere far away. At about 1 or 2 in the morning, they decide to stop for the night after driving on an empty stretch of highway for a long time. They pull over in the first small town they see, Hidden Oaks, and get a room in the small motel. When they wake up, they realize they aren't able to leave. If they try to take the road out, they end up coming back in from the other direction. I don't really know what's going on in the town, but I figured we can decide that A: name (Ariat) B: C: D:
School Is In Session Sci Fi Our characters were all abducted by aliens. At first, they're terrified. Then they learn that the aliens just want to learn about human culture and biology so that they can end up befriending the species. This can also be a 1x1 with multiple characters if you want A: B: C:
No Way Home Survival It's the typical plane crash lands on an island and characters have to figure out how to survive. A: B: C: D:

A sample post:
Mia took a stack of papers from Nick. The top page had her name across the top in fancy font. Everything about this school was over the top, wasn't it? They couldn't even use normal font. Or something like comic sans. She was sure that would go along great with the pampered rich kids that spent their school year here. "Thanks, Nick," she said. He nodded before taking his place in the van. She gave the rules paper a quick glance, but not quite long enough to actually read it. She knew it would most likely contain the basics. Curfew... blah blah blah... No boys or girls in the opposite dorm.... blah blah blah.... don't miss class... blah blah blah. She could always give it a true reading later on. She shielded her eyes from the sun with her hand and turned to Berrin.
"Sounds good," she agreed, but he was already gone. It didn't take that boy very long to get moving, did it? Maybe he should've been the child of Hermes rather than her. Alone in the lot, Mia grabbed her duffle bag and headed in the opposite direction of Berrin. The tower holding the girls dorm was impressive. She only had one thought as she entered the lobby-like first floor: she didn't belong here. She had already said it back in the parking lot, but now it get even more true.
Then the thought of a roommate occurred to her. How would Mia manage if her roommmate was some snobby stuck up rich kid? Well, if Mia was lucky, she wouldn't spend a ton of time at the school. As it was, she'd most likely be spending 90% of her time with Berrin. They could strategize and combine knowledge. Plus, he was the only person here she knew. She didn't know him well, but she still knew him.
Mia pushed her way past a fancy woman in a black dress. The woman was trying to talk on her phone and push her daughter towards a room at the same time. At least her mom hadn't been quite like that. Mia didn't have any specific quarrels with her mother, they just didn't mesh well. In fact, she wasn't quite sure why Hermes had fallen for her mother.
Mia continued her journey alone, searching for the room number on her sheet of paper. It took a while (and many elevator rides) but she eventually found it. This hallway was much less chaotic than the rest. Reserved for seniors, Mia would guess. They wouldn't have to deal with freshman or even sophomores up here. That made her feel a bit better. As one of the oldest campers in the Hermes cabin, she occasionally had to take control while their lazy counselor headed off on his own to do who knows what. Dealing with 14 and 15 year old demigods was bad enough, she didn't want to deal with 14 and 15 year old high school girls. Mia shuddered before taking her key and turning the lock.
"Wow," she said. Her immediate reaction was to drop her bag and her jaw. She gazed, open mouthed and wide eyed, at the room. It was nicer than anywhere she'd ever lived before. Bigger too.
She pulled one of the closets opened and stared at the clothes inside. They were organized by color and Mia immediately worried how she'd work out with her roommate. Mia wasn't extraordinarily messy. She didn't leave trash all over the floor. She didn't smell bad. She usually picked up after herself. After living in her cabin at camp so long, however, she'd developed a much more casual approach to housekeeping. Yes, sometimes she had a pile of clean clothes on the floor rather than in her dresser. Yes, she left books and the occasional empty water bottle on the floor. Yes, she could probably find items from when she was twelve hiding under her bunk. But that didn't mean she was a slob. Hopefully her roommate would accept these small differences.
Checking her watch, she realized she only had ten minutes to make it down to the meeting. She threw her bags on the bed she assumed was hers and unzipped the duffel bag. She dug through her clothes, finding a sweatshirt, and left a small pile of clothes on her bed. Eh, she'd clean it up later. Even if her roommate bothered her about it, she would just use the excuse that she was running late.
Pulling the sweatshirt over her head, Mia grabbed a bottle of water and popped a piece of gum into her mouth. It wouldn't take as long to get their since she had already found her room. So Mia took her time, wandering down the hall and into the elevator. She left the building and saw a stream of students heading towards the same area. Must be the meeting. Mia popped herself into the line of teenagers.
Se caught snatches of conversations as hey walked, but the children of Greek gods weren't a big topic of conversation. If it was, one of these conversations may have led her to the demigods they were searching for. Mia almost laughed. Nothing was that easy. Plus, these kids must be good at hiding. If not, some Greek monster would've come by and had them for lunch already. They most likely carried cell phones, Mia realized, which made it practically a miracle they were still alive at this point.
"Hey," Mia crashed into a boy when she wasn't paying attention. She stopped at looked at the boy. Unfortunately he didn't match the pictures she had. His hair was the wrong color.
"Sorry," the boy said. He held out a hand. "I'm Lucas. You're new, I'm guessing?" Lucas asked.
"Yeah. My name is Alyssa," Mia said. She had no idea why that came out of her mouth. She and Berrin were going by their real names, but the fake name just came out of her mouth. "I'm just looking for a couple friends. See you around," she said, taking off in the direction all the students were heading. She had absolutely no plans to see Lucas around. Nope. She'd be avoiding him at all costs.
When she made it to the meeting, she was surprised to see how large the school really was. It seemed as though the entire school had showed up and Mia could barely see the headmaster. A voice began talking to her and Mia jumped, but smiled when she saw Berrin.
"Never thought I'd be so happy to see you. No, I didn't meet my roommate, but this place is insane. I don't see how we're supposed to find two specific people in here," she said, lowering her voice as she spoke. "I also saw a sign of rules in my dorm banning weapons," Mia said with a chuckle. She pulled out her sharpened celestial bronze knife. "So this'll be fun to explain if the Mist fails," she said, grinning. She knew the knife appeared as a pen to mortals (cause I'm uncreative).
"Anyway, where do you think we should start? I mean, we could investigate our roommates, we can just randomly start making friends, we could look for clues. We could even just break into rooms. Oooh! We could break into the office and look for anything sketchy. Y'know, single parents or adopted kids. History of behavioral problems or being expelled. ADHD or dyslexia. I'd say that's our bests shot. I can pick locks ya know. Good at sneaking around. The whole Hermes thing." At this point, Mia was practically whispering in Berrin's ear. They didn't need to start this quest by being expelled or something wild like that.
***
To be honest, Jace had almost fallen asleep in his tree. The sun filtering through the tree's leaves was warm against his back. He could hear the quiet chatter of students in the distance, but nobody was bothering him. It was actually a pretty perfect situation.
Jace had heard Ana's heels clicking along the path, announcing her arrival long before her words. "You sound like my mom, by the way," he said. Jace liked to find small hiding spots to be on his own, and he always had. Ever since he was a child, he had managed to find himself in odd, hard to reach places. His favorite place back home was the tallest tree in the yard.
One of his earliest memories was actually his mom telling him to get out of the tree. It was before Anastasia had come to live with them. His mom had gone out on a business meeting, leaving Jace alone with his nanny. The young girl hadn't been paying much attention and he had let himself out of the house. He had climbed as high and his little body could and hid among the branches of the tree. His nanny hadn't been able to find him, but his mother knew right away where he was. It had been midnight or one in the morning when she had come home and gotten him down. Needless to say, the nanny had been fired.
"I don't see why we have to go. We've gone the past three years and it's the same boring lecture each time. Why not only require t for the freshman and new transfer students?" he asked, though it was more of a rhetorical question. There were plenty of things he didn't like about the school, but he figured it was better than the cheap public schools that somehow managed to fit 30 kids in a class. With a big sigh, Jace swung down from the tree. He hung from a lower branch for a couple of seconds before dropping to the ground. He landed on his feet and stuck his hands in his pockets.
"Meet your roommate yet? I haven't, but I'm sure he's here now. I can only hope he's less boring than Vince," he said. He walked slowly towards the orientation, wasting as much time as possible. "Plus we won't be noticed if sneak in the back a few minutes late. I've seen kids do that before." Despite his 'helpful' suggestions, Jace knew he'd end up at the orientation most likely only seconds before it started.
For once in his life though, he was excited for classes to start. Senior year schedules were the best, and he believed he had one of the best senior year schedules. The only required classes had been math and science. He was also taking two gym classes, welding, and creative writing. Some might see it as a slacker schedule, but he saw it as his last chance to enjoy himself before being shipped off to college and preparing for a 9-5 job that he'd end up hating.
When they reached the orientation, the headmaster was just beginning to speak. "See, told ya we'd be here on time," he said. He pulled out his phone as the orientation began, not really caring to hear the speech yet again. "By the way, if your roommate is cute, you should introduce me to her," Jace said with a laugh. He told her that every year since their freshman year and it had turned into more of a joke than an actual demand at this point. Plus, Jace liked to think of himself as a classy guy. He didn't just focus on looks. They were a bonus though.
"We're gonna make this year great!" he mumbled at the same time the headmaster said it. He truly did know the speech by heart.

(It depends on the situation. I can write 2-5 paragraphs usually, longer posts for slower scenes, and shorter for dialogue and combat)

hey, could we do a duplicate of banished? c: if not thats alright I'm trying not to duplicate just because I'd like more variety. Are there any others you're interested in? If not we can make something work cause we didn't get to do that other plot

(I'm gonna go with two each, though I'd suggest the first two from the original plot meet first, and perhaps meet/find/recruit the other two as they go?)

Alright. I'll use Willow as character a and maybe your guy is character b? Then I'll use York later on.
I also pictured kind of a nuclear wasteland for the world now kinda modeled after the fallout universe where there's small settlements set up and then some bunkers but most of them aren't safe anymore. Willow's is one of the few that's still in use That all sound cool?

*glances at fallout collection on shelf* I got this.
Sure, though I'd rather take a female for my first character. I have something in mind for the secondary character I introduce. Are we doing character sheets, or in description?)
