yes! that's exactly what i was thinking! with that feral merms being bigger and less colorful, that is. just imagine! a giant squid mermaid! but that begs the question: i imagine the shallow water mermaids to be human-sized no matter the type of fish they appear closest to (i.e. a lionfish mermaid is the same size as a clownfish mermaid), but would the feral mermaids grow to be as big as they're fish counterparts? would a great white shark mermaid average up to 15 feet? or would they be around 5-6 feet like the shallow water merfolk? or does it depend? on a different note! do the domestic and feral merfolk ever mingle?

AquaLux ;; i haven't done a warriors roleplay in something like 2-3 years? it's been a very long time. i've written fics and stuff, but it's not the same. ooh, that would be super cool! the flood especially! i feel like there would be other survivors, just spread out; it's possible for the two muses to find them, or, alternatively, they could run into them at a much later date (maybe as their new clan is forming) & it's a slow realisation that the former clan of muse a considers muse a a traitor of sorts considering they didn't decide to find their clanmates but instead chose to try to find a new home. it could make for super interesting conflicts. ayy. i have a picture of the character i think i'm going to use, i just need to figure out what gender i wanna make them, and what i want their personality to be like. rough ideas are here, they're a former stray who ended up living with an old lady. passed on to the old lady's grandchildren when she passed away, decided they didn't like the kids and is a runaway. you know how it goes.
𝗁𝗈𝗇𝖾𝗒𝖻𝖺𝖽𝗀𝖾𝗋 ;; i'm glad we're on the same page!! that makes me super happy. i love the idea of gigantic mermaids hoenstly? huge whale shark mermaids who float lazily because they can? or, hell, megalodon mermaids. imagine. i definitely imagine the domestic-types being very human sized, but i think the ferals hugely vary. some are similar to the domestic-types (especially dolphin/shark types) in size, tending to be smaller than their animal counterparts and more like human-sized, whereas some are the same size or even bigger than their animal counterparts (so some types of whale mermaids are too big. way too big). i definitely think it depends on genetics, too. you'll have the runts and you'll have the bigger ones of...uh...families? litters? would mermaids be pups or babies? or mermaidlets? who knows. ANYWAY, ANYWAY. size definitely depends, and i think the smallest would probably be around the size of a 5' human. the biggest is like. unlimited. i like to imagine that the larger mermaids live even deeper in the water though, so very few seafolk know that they exist, yknow? they're cryptids. ooh, good question!! i feel like some domestic-types venture out at some point in their lives and end up discovering ferals and perhaps entering a pod (school? clan???? oh man) if they're good enough at surviving, but i don't think ferals often dip too close to shore. they definitely intermingle, though. i imagine that there are bloodlines that are mixed domestic and feral too (those types are def rare, though. don't often survive in the wild because of their off colouring or need to stay close to the surface, yfeel?)

Yeah, aside from the few I'm doing, I can say the same. I mostly roleplay humans nowadays. Ooooh yes, now that's an idea I like, Poor Muse A. Sorry that I don't have a lot to contribute to this idea at the moment. My inspiration's running a bit low. Once we actually start roleplaying I'm sure the ideas will start flowing easily, XD Ahh. I think I'm gonna go with Sandyrose for this as my main - she's a relatively new character of mine that I haven't gotten to use all that much yet. She's got kind of a feisty, 'I'll prove myself' attitude that stems from her experiences while growing up. She also hates being called small... even though she is small, quite small, haha.

okay! okay! but also! consider: jellyfish mermaids. they'd be so pretty! but yes to all of that. giant mermaids coming from the deep and regular sized mermaids living in the coral reef. all of it. hmm. baby mermaids would be??? personally, i think they'd be called pups. it just feels right. "baby" would also be applicable simply because the word baby could apply to any living thing that isn't an adult yet. ANOTHER THING: we've discussed friendly and colorful shallow water mermaids. in the plot snippet you mentioned mermaids selling for a high price. and then cross-breeds not surviving long in the wild. so??? pet mermaids. i'm sure that's what you already had in mind. but i can imagine some of the more wealthy individuals of the world buying/catching and keeping mermaids as pets. i feel like most would prefer the friendly, brightly colored types. but there'd also be a few who would be interested in the shark mermaids. not really the big ones though (unless they had a place to keep them).

𝗁𝗈𝗇𝖾𝗒𝖻𝖺𝖽𝗀𝖾𝗋 ;; dude you are...100% right jellyfish mermaids would be so pretty !! tbh, giant mermaids are my life? just....you think ur gonna meet a human-sized creature and suddenly ur facing this mermaid that's 10x bigger than your ship. kraken is a mermaid confirmed. i feel like they'd be pups too 0: eyy yeah !! i was thinking about pet mermaids. colourful, domestic-type mermaids are definitely more popular - but i feel ferals would be more expensive because they're...rarer, harder to catch and 'tame'. some very, very rich people will build an aquarium and have various merfolk, and im sure there's probably some rich humans who are famous for having aqauriums with giant mermaids - but for the most part, people prefer them as domestic pets and they like the colourful ones because they talk and play with toys and tend to be considered intelligent, whereas ferals are often likened to...well, wild animals! some just want the bragging factor though, i feel. do you want me to make a separate thread for us?

dude yes. i feel like there aren't a lot of books about dragons, at least that i've seen. and i love em obviously and worldbuilding around dragons could be so cool with so many different possibilities, like man, they're so damn cool. exactly exactly. and the guy they picked for Brom, i think, was like perfect. and it was like a decent standalone, had pretty great stuff, just yeah, no eragon xD i also loved the way they did the razac[?], they were exactly what i imagined in my head when reading the book so 10/10 on that bro yes, i love older ocs, omg thank god. because some people have like these teenagers and really younger characters, which i can understand and all, but they want to role play with all younger ocs and it's alright but i like to mix it up. also i like to have a bunch of side characters as well, just because it's kinda boring with only a couple characters and like, the world doesn't revolve around these two characters? so imo i like having side characters, and they also help flesh out the main exactly omg and muse a is just like 'holy-it's a winged lizard and it like just came out of this ancient looking stone? but it's like not a stone then?' lolol i love it xD we're literally the exact same, omg. and like if someone is like 'reply plz' i get petty and don't respond. like maybe i need some time to make my post good? and i get on tears where i will reply so quick and others it'll take me forever, but i usually always reply. unless i'm petty and just like no xD although gentle reminders are okay, like maybe after a week because i'm forgetful & busy af
ooh character forms are definitely yay from me. i kinda need them or else i forget details and tbh i love making characters and creating forms is one of my favorite parts c; [ woo sounds good ;3 ]

Right! There was a time when I thought I'd fallen out of the Warriors fandom, I didn't write or read anything for it for a long time. Then I started up a roleplay one day on a whim, and it seemed to reignite my love for it. That's actually what brought me back here after the old forums were shut down, XD When I first started roleplaying(back in like 2011?), it was always Warriors - it kind of feels like I'm returning to my roleplaying roots with all these recent Warriors plots I've been doing, haha. Yeah, I'm a pretty big sucker for conflict and drama, to be honest. A little angst is nice too. I feel as if I'm better at roleplaying serious scenarios, to be honest, I love getting into my characters' heads during those moments, haha. Yeah, sure! I shall await the new thread! Ooh, nice! What have you got down for your character now?

ʀᴀᴠᴇɴωᴏʟғ ♥ ;; i hear ya dude. i love worldbuilding + i love dragons so ?? win win. my brain likes dragons too, so.......glad we're in agreement ahah brom was good!! yes. i actually didn't mind eragon's actor either, though not what i imagined eragon to be like but he was still good! and god, saphira was the spitting image of what i imagined her to be like, tbqh. i loved her. so much. older ocs are my life and soul no i get you i always have sides even if someone else doesn't, it just feels like a bland world otherwise ahahah and i get you
okay nice!! i tend to just mimic other people's forms otherwise i do the world's most simple one so whatever u wanna do go for it luls (also do u wanna pm me or do u want me to pm you? real questions)
AquaLux ;; you never escape from warriors, my BRO conflict is super fun + i like the quiet moments in between, too. angst is fun until there's too much. serious topics r fun tbqh i've got his appearance & his backstory ! so far also uh, silly question. this 1x1 thread would go in fan clans? yes? i'm just making sure ;v;

Exactly, haha. I learned that myself. I've been re-reading the first series again, and man I forgot how much I loved the older Warriors books. I couldn't agree more, haha. I do have a fondness for humorous moments as well, and I almost had my main be Graypetal instead because of that. Graypetal's best described as a mischievous troll, in contrast to Sandyrose's spitfire personality. It was a tough choice, choosing between them. I'm lowkey still not entirely sure on this, actually, XDI've got a short version of my character typed up, but I plan on expanding it a bit before posting it to be read. I'm already looking forward to the interaction between our characters, even though I don't know what yours is gonna be like, haha! Yeah, I imagine it would. At least, that's where I put my other 1x1 Warriors roleplay, o.O

i'm glad we're in agreement too, although idk how you wouldn't be when it comes to a dope dragon plot <3 omg i loved saphira, holy crap her voice actress was perfection. and i loved murtagh [my childhood crush tbh xD] bruh that makes me so happy, like old ocs for the win and like sides are great, bro this is great c;
okie dokes, i'll work on that. should i post it here or on the pm? idk what define as simple xD so i'll probs end up going simpleish? lol idk depends on how lazy i am right now (ah can you pm me? ihatestartingpmsforsomereason sue me c;)

Alright. homicide framing?
|
|
|
Post by Deleted on Aug 23, 2017 13:18:50 GMT -5
ohh that could be interesting! someone gets killed, someone close to them is framed + they have to find the real killer, that sort of deal?
|
|
|
Post by lozi on Aug 23, 2017 13:25:50 GMT -5
Yep! It could be the framed and an investigator. Something in the framed person's history could give them some sort of motive to kill the dude, but it isn't them. Enter the investigator. (maybe they knew each other once so the investigator is like this isn't like that person?) Together they have to clear his name and find the real killer, before time runs out.

oh that sounds like a good idea!! and its kind of a mess because maybe some sort of criminal gang is involved, which means it's a harder process. alternatively, it's someone that nobody expects and they can only come to this conclusion after multiple mistakes. wahey.

Both sound like good fun. It could be that he was part of the gang so maybe the police think its some lasting grudges?
